Eisen-verse Posted March 2, 2011 Share Posted March 2, 2011 I'm eagerly awaiting the results I'm in charge of doing the write-up this year; so, we'll get all of this kicked off sometime in the near future. I've messaged Mistaken with some initial questions that I have on how to go about it; however, am planning on starting in between my USPW write-ups. All in all, It'll probably be spaced out over a week or more; one post a day giving the winner for that day. In that case, everyone get's their moment in the sun & we don't simply rush past these things. I've been entrusted with the ability to write-out the "Year End Award" results 'show'; something I'm very proud to be part of. With that said, I don't plan on really starting this all until after my most recent episode of "American Wrestling" (USPW) is up. Why? I only have three segments left to write and I'd like to get that out there for people to read before I crack into anything else. All in all, I wanted to give a heads up to everyone of the GDS-Universe. This way, you know that it's on it's way in due time... This is how it'll be laid out; from a results standpoint. There are 12 awards handed out this year; so, given the relative small number, I've decided to make it a daily thing. In this case, only one award winner will be named a day. I know this will drag it out a little longer; however, it also gives me the ability to make it less time consuming. Also, it places more of a highlight on each winner/award. After a full year of dynasty writing, I think it's best that we give people a small 'spot-light' in which to enjoy what they accomplished in the year prior.The actual write-up for each award will be much like you've seen in the past from Mistaken. There will be a round of presenters from both the Cornellverse and the real-world as they 'hand out' the award to the winning writer. From there, there will be a quote box underneath where the winner can PM me their acceptance speech (either in character or as the writer themselves) so that there is a connected response; much like with most award shows. If anyone would like to create an image of an award statue, wrestling-based, then that'd be great! This way, the winners can walk away with an image of what they would most certainly win (much like an oscar). From there, you could always add the name of the award yourself at a later date; just in case you wanted to use the image for the open of your new, or existing, threads. Cheers.
