Just a quick question.

How long can we expect trends to last for, or is it just random when they will end? I.E Physcological Thrillers are currently on the rise, how long could I expect that to last?

Just a quick question.

It's random, it could be until the next one is made, it could be until tomorrow

Voted.

Guess I need to up my game - the only connection I had to the awards was poor Jason Lee up for some "worst" category.

You shouldn't have to up your game by much, in my opinion both your films so far have been quite good, and a bit better casting on The Push could have seen that be a real contender (as it seems you were punished a bit on casting).

But interested to see where you go from here.

Anyway, I am off for the night. Hopefully I wake up to some good awards news :p.

Edit- Might as well ask now, anyone know an actor who could pass off as an around 16 to 18 year old Tom Hardy?

(Edited again, put the wrong ages down :o)

Hello and welcome to the first ever movie award show. Tonight we have 9 categories up for grabs, with one being the prominent “Best Production Studio of the Week”. The competition is fierce, and as we all know anything can happen on the red carpet. So now without further hesitation let’s start the awards.

The award for Worst Actress in a Film goes to… Daffney for her role in InterDate!

As Daffney walks to the podium to retreeve her award, she sees that it’s made out of Clay. Then then leans over to give a speech but is pelted with tomatoes before she can talk.

Effects of the award: Daffney will be out of the movie business until the next award show in hopes to get rid of some of her notoriety.

Well, I think we all expected that. Lucky for us she wasn’t about to speak. Up next is a similar award except for the male equivalent.

The award for Worst Actor in a Film goes to… Matt Damon for his role in Dudley’s Paradise!

Damon was able to beat out Jason Lee but a total of 3 votes. Shockingly enough he wasn’t available to receive is award and he declined a pre-taped interview… I wonder why?

Effects of the award: Matt Damon will only be able to play a supporting role or lower in a movie until Wed.

Well, at least that wasn’t as bad as Daffney. And perhaps more importantly we didn’t have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction with him…awkward

The award for This week’s worst film is… I want to Crucify Rebecca Black by TheEffect!

We will leave this part of the show open in case TheEffect wants to comment on his award later.

Effects of the award: TheEffect will be unable to post any movies until he writes I Love Rebecca Black 5 times for all the forum to see.

Well that should certainly be fun for Mr. Effect, and perhaps more importantly, super fun for Miss Black, you know if she’s watching.

Well that rounds out the worst of the show, now to head to some happier awards. This week has seen some great movies get created and I can’t wait to see who pulls out the movie of the week award.

The award for Best Supporting Actress goes to…. Zooey Deschanel for her role in Mistakes and Misdemeanors.

Zooey accepts the award and thanks Pretty OK Films for the opportunity. She goes on to say that she had a lovely time working with the studio and would love to do something with them in the future.

Effects: Zooey Deschanel’s popularity has sky rocketed and will now want 75,000 per movie. Also, Any movie that Pretty OK Films makes with her this week will get a discounted price of 30,000 per movie.

Good for her, it’s great to see young talent succeeding in today’s industry. Zooey beat her closest competitor Jennifer Lopez by three votes, almost doubling her vote count, that’s domination. She looks like she has a ton of potential and I can’t wait to see her next film. Speaking of films, the first person to make a film about a young baseball player working hard trying to make their dreams of playing in the major leagues come true will be sure to be in for a box office smash.

The award for Best Supporting Actor in a movie goes to… Neil Patrick Harris.

Neil comes to stage hand in hand with his significant other and receives a huge ovation. He thanks everyone for their vote and support.

Effects: Neil Patrick Harris now wants 150,000 per movie. If Astilian Productions can make a movie of the same genre with the same or better rating by the end of the week then they will receive a 1 million dollar bonus.

Next up we have Lonely Island singing something off their new album, but instead of listening we are going to skip to the next award.

The award for best Lead Actress goes to…. Kaley Cuoco

Kaley makes her way on stage in tears, unable to believe she beat the likes of Sandra Bullock. "Ooh, oh my God. I'm so excited. Thank you so much. The Ruin was such a great experience for me. It was really a chance for me to expand and to try something different. Don't get me wrong, Big Bang Theory is great show and I love filming for it each and every day, but it was absolutely fantastic to work with Eric Bana, who was just amazing, and for Danny Boyle, who gave me a really great character and the room to make the role mine." But instead of going on to thank the studio for the support she blast them saying the producer was harassing her and threatening to fire her unless she “stopped playing hard to get”.

The Effect: Kaley Cuoco now wants 150,000 per movie. She refuses to work with Clarity for the week. Clarity Productions has 48 hours to respond to the allegation or they will face wide spread backlash.

Wow, Kaley has just left us all speechless and we anxiously await the official response from Clarity.

The award for Best Lead Actor goes to…Zack Galifanakis!

Zack Galifianakis approaches the stage, dressed in his wrestling gear. It becomes apparent, very quickly, that he intends to do the entire acceptance speech in character. He clears his throats. "I want to thank everyone for this little award." He eyes the award, somewhat crazily. "It's an honor, but not as big of an honor... as this!" He lifts the title belt from The Mark above his head, drawing a small reaction from the crowd.

"Now, I have a couple of things I want to address. Rage Robinson." Galifianakis nods his head toward Rampage Jackson, as the camera shifts to Jackson. "I heard you were looking for a rematch. I heard you want your belt back." Jackson laughs, then plays along, nodding. "Well, anytime buddy. On one condition... next time, we do it in a steel cage!"

Galifianakis reaches under the podium and pulls out a ring with a cage and two action figures, one of himself and one of Rampage Jackson. "And this, this is how it's going to go down!" He violently slams the figures into each other several times, then slams the Rampage figure down and covers it with his figure.

"Oh. And Traci." Galifianakis now turns his attention to co-star Trish Stratus, also in the crowd. "I'm guessing that you lost your phone or something. I keep calling your number, seeing if you want to go out, and you never answer. Listen, call me." Galifianakis makes the call me motion and Trish laughs and returns it, indicating that she'll call him later.

"In all seriousness, thank you all for the award." He lifts the belt and award over his head, then exits the stage.

Effect: Having seen the fun Zack had making the movie everyone wants to work for Way Out In Left Field Productions. As a result they can hire anyone 1 person for a lead role at half price.

Zack Galifianakis now wants 150,000 per movie.

I love that Zack Galifianakis, always such a jokster. We are down to our final 2 awards ladies and gentlemen.

The award for Film of the week edging out 2 competitors by just a single vote is… Host produced by Revenant Productions

This area is left open for the CEO of Revenant Productions to say a few words.

The Effect: Revenant Productions will get a donation of 1 million dollars as well as increase in prestige which should convert well at the box office.

Sandra Bullock the star of the movie now wants 125,000 per movie.

And last but not least the award you all have been waiting for…drum roll please….

The award for Production Company of the week goes to… Ascending Numbers by a landslide victory.

This spot left open for the CEO of Ascending Numbers Production.

The Effect:

All Movies filmed this week by Ascending Numbers Production will automatically be bumped up 1 production level regardless of how much is actually spend on production.

Ascending Numbers Production will see an increase in advertisement and less money will go a longer way than before.

That’s it for this week’s production I hope everyone enjoyed them. Stay tuned next week where we will be more organized…maybe, and have more awards!

A very very big thanks goes to D_W_W for his help with the awards ceremony.

Comments are always welcome. The time is 10:10 EST you can begin posting your new movies in exactly 1 hour.

Plot - Aging actor Jack Rogers (Bridges) attempts to rekindle his failing career that has gone downhill since his Academy Award performance in the 1980s film “Retrovertigo”. With the help of his mostly incompetent agent, Reggie Hoffman (DeVito), he somehow lands the lead role in a new movie by one of the best directors in the business, Andrew Raines (Norton).

While on the set, his ego clashes with the likes of Raines and egotistical pretty boy/supporting actor James Briggs (Holloway). Jack has a few near breakdowns, but despite the odds being stacked against him, and everyone assuming he’ll fail, he puts in an amazing performance that might even top his earlier award-winning one.

Unfortunately, the performance is almost never seen as Reggie makes ridiculous demands behind the scenes that eventually lead to Jack being fired and his role recast despite what would be a huge cost to the studio.
