If you want to check, use the clock on computer and set it to "(GMT -05:00) Eastern Time USA and Canada". I think it automatically factors in any daylights savings times too, so it should always be right.... though there are short periods in spring and autumn when the times are an hour different as they change out of summer time at different times to the UK.

50% Discount on All Cast & Crew (I am assuming that still applies)

All Movies filmed this week by Ascending Numbers Production will automatically be bumped up 1 production level regardless of how much is actually spend on production.

Ascending Numbers Production will see an increase in advertisement and less money will go a longer way than before.

(Don’t know how much this applies, or if it does at all, but just in case) Fight movies are increasing in popularity

Studio - Ascending Numbers Production

Pre-Filming Bank Balance - $21’270’000

Title – Dark Horse

Lead Actor - Tom Hardy (25’000) & Jack O'Connell (20’000)

Lead Actress – Eva Longoria (32500)

Supporting Actor – Al Pacino (37500), Vin Diesel (37’500)

Supporting Actress - N/A

Cameo’s- Dakota Fanning (25’000), Scarlett Johansson (50’000), Tito Ortiz (10’000??? (so 20’000 normally)), 50 Cent (10’000), Sandra Bullock (62'500)

Director - Martin Scorcese (112’500)

Genre - Drama/Fighting

Plot - Tom Hardy revives and shares his role as Boxer Robert Richardson, in this Prequel to smash hit "Rubik's Cube". The film focuses on Richardson’s very troubled childhood, but in later stages goes on to show his rise to fame as an actor.

The film starts off with a monologue from the young Robert Richardson’s (played by Jack O'Connell) perspective playing over a black screen, saying that currently he is a nothing in this world, just small kid who gets bullied at school and abused at home, but one day that is all going to change.

We cut to a scene in a school campus, where (young) Richardson is talking to a girl, who is only named as Amy (played by Dakota Fanning), telling him not to let anything get to him, and sharing in his dreams by telling him that one day he will prove everyone wrong. After a short walk (presumed to be on his way home, he is approached by a group of apparent bullies. After being taunted, he tries to walk away from them, but is stopped and beaten up by the gang. When he gets home, his dad sees the bruises and cuts from the fight, and yells at him before striking Robert himself, telling him he is not man enough, before forcing him down into the basement to train on a punching bag, so he has the ability to defend himself.

It is at this point revealed through flashbacks that Robert’s dad has a history of beating him, and that this caused his mother to desert the family. After another argument with his dad, in which Robert attempts to strike back (but is still beaten by his father), Robert decides to run away. He finds himself sleeping on a doorstep for the night, using his small bag of possessions as a pillow.

He wakes up to find a heavily muscled man stood over him, who is quickly revealed to be former Heavyweight Boxing Champion “Bruiser” Johnson (Vin Diesel). After being taken in, the pair begin talking and it is revealed that Bruiser was formerly just like Richardson, an outcast. That is until he trained to become bigger, faster & stronger than those around him, which lead to him becoming involved in boxing. Johnson agrees to train Richardson, on the condition that he promises he will keep his private life and boxing career completely separate (the reason Johnson took the name “Bruiser” was so that his boxing and personal life stayed completely separate).

The following scenes are your stereo-typical training scenes, punch bags, speed bags, running in scenic locations, with Richardson (still the young version) increasing in size and muscle with every passing scene. The montage ends with Richardson winning a race with Johnson, something that hadn’t happened during the earlier running montages. Johnson tells Richardson that he is ready to step in the ring.

A screen appears telling us we are now 1 year down the line, and we are in a boxing ring in New York (in reality a venue in Puerto Rico, used due to the electric atmosphere created by the Puerto Rican fans) for Richardson’s first main-event fight. We see Richardson (now the older version, played by Tom Hardy) quickly dispose of an opponent with a knock out. “Bruiser” Johnson is in the corner of Richardson and suggests that Richardson should go and get showered & changed as they are going to hit some clubs in celebration.

It is at the club where Richardson meets Sarah Black (Eva Longoria, reprising her role from Rubik’s Cube). Richardson instantly knows who Sarah is, due to the fact she is an internationally recognised pop star, and she reveals that she is a big fan of boxing & she saw his impressive win that night. The duo retreat to Richardson’s apartment, and…(well lets just say this part of the film isn’t very family friendly <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />).

Richardson, with Sarah still asleep next to him, is woken up by a call from Johnson, telling him to turn on the TV and see what’s on ESPN. There is a documentary on TV, with both of Richardson’s parents (with the mother played by Sandra Bullock), seemingly back together, claiming that they haven’t spoken to or seen him in years. Johnson is furious that his personal life has gotten out, but urges Richardson not to do anything that will bring more publicity (good or bad) to him (not knowing he has spent the night with Sarah).

Richardson angrily confronts his parents, and after a heated argument with the parents claiming they did what was best for him (Despite this obviously not being true). The scene mirrors the opening (Richardson being beat up by bullies) in the fact that he tries to walk away but is stopped (this time by his father). But this time when his father attempts to strike him, he gets the first punch knocking his father out, before walking out of the door.

While walking away from his parents house, Richardson is noticed by Amy (his childhood friend, now played by Scarlett Johansson). Her first comment is “Robert Richardson? You haven’t changed at all”, which prompts an angry reaction with Richardson shouting at Amy that she needs to take a look around, because everything has changed.

A short scene shows Richardson with Sarah, eating at a restaurant, continuing their growing relationship. Then the film begins building up to his next fight, with his opponent just known as Ortiz (Played by Tito Ortiz) echoing Johnson’s words that if Richardson can not keep a handle on his personal life, he will not be able to focus in the ring, while also revealing that the winner will receive a world title shot against champion George Silva (50 Cent) (the fight that Rubik’s Cube was based around).

However days before the fight, when the news breaks that Richardson knocked out his father and pictures surface showing him with Sarah, Johnson stops round Richardson’s apartment and the pair get in a heated argument that ends with Johnson quitting as Richardson’s coach/trainer.

The fight takes a very similar course as the main fight in “Rubik’s Cube” with the fight reaching the last round. Before the last round begins, while sat in his corner Richardson has flashbacks of Johnson’s advise & Ortiz’s taunts, and his body language suggest he is going to throw in the towel. But a quick glance to Sarah, in the crowd, motivates him and he quickly knocks his opponent out with a barrage of strikes in the final round.

The final scene shows Richardson & Sarah celebrating after the fight, before George Silva steps in the ring and the two boxers square up to each other as the scene fades to black.

However before the credits role, the very end of Rubik’s cube is shown again, followed by pictures of news stories such as “Richardson Humbled”, “Champion shines, challenger fades” & “Breaking Point: The End of Black & Richardson?”

Location - Purto Rico & New York

Budget - $10’000’000 ($422'500 Cast & Crew + $5’077’500 Production + $4’500’000 Promotion)

Duration - 2 Hour 10 Minutes (130 Mins.)

Studio Notes

-Ascending Numbers Production spent vast amount of time trying to cast the young Robert Richardson, and thank The Worlds Not Round Studio’s for the tip off on Jack O'Connell.

-The company has decided to spend a large amount on this film, believing it could be a huge success, providing a spin on the “Rocky” story.

-Many test groups suspect that the ending of the movie suggests a third movie in the series, this time set to take place after “Rubik’s Cube”. The tests groups speculation was aided by the cameo of Scarlett Johansson in the role of Amy, who it is believed will have a bigger role in the next instalment.

-Richardson’s fight opponent was originally scheduled to be played by Quinton Jackson, but this was made impossible due to his UFC commitments.
