bookerman
Didn't see this mentioned anywhere so I thought I would throw out a few: I Want Wrestling - hosted by former WWE creative member David Lagana (@Lagana @IWantWrestling) - it deals with a lot of behind the scenes stuff. He typically has other former WWE creative members on (Seth Mattes, Andrew Goldstein, etc) but he's recently had some excellent podcasts with Low-ki, MVP (post WWE talking about going to NJPW), Chavo Guerrero, and with Dutch Mantell. Some very interesting stuff. It's not a big reveal of everything creative, but it provides glimpses into what it's like to be creative talent for the WWE (All of the blame, none of the credit.....rewriting shows minutes before air time, etc). His current one with Dutch touches on why characters like Cena and others are played out and need to be either taken off TV for a bit or changed around every so often. Highly recommend Art of Wrestling - hosted by Colt Cabana - he sits down with a wrestler each week to discuss their career and other things. Highly recommend the Kevin Steen (learned english from JR and from Friends) and Chris Hero (the Misawa story near the end) Right after Wrestling - recently started listening to this one, mainly for the post RAW analysis. Arda Ocal and Jimmy Korderas (former WWE ref) host and it's interesting to hear their take on RAW right after the show goes off the air. I tend to listen on Tuesday mornings on the drive in to work. Free WON - I try to listen to the free ones with Dave and Bryan after RAW or a PPV. Debating about joining the site so I can them every week. Any others you guys recommend? Lexa90
The Bryan and Vinny show when they review Impact is hilarious <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

BurningHamster
<p>Good Will Wrestling or any of the other podcasts that have had Rob Naylor involved. That little guy cracks me up.</p><p> </p><p> Adding to the love for Colt too, he's usually a good time.</p>
Purple Cowboy
I still listen to PW Torch. They have almost daily content, even without subscription. PW Torch has a couple of newer shows too that I dig, the East Coast Cast which is Travis & Bardre for an often funny look at the week and a weekly nostalgia cast with George Shire (I think). bigtplaystew
I've been enjoying Ryan Clark's show WrestleZone Radio. The ones the topic creator mentioned are all pretty great. Colt's is probably the best one out there for fans of wrestling as a whole and not just WWE fans. His show really brings a unique and insightful perspective while also being very humorous. He doesn't really break down shows or anything, just talks about professional wrestling like an adult, to other adults, without tearing down too much of that "fourth wall". I analogize it to wrestling the way Mark Meron's podcast is to comedy. (Btw... Mark Merons WTF Podcast is one of the best shows out there period. If you haven't listened to it do yourself a favor and check out the last few. Just don't go all the way back to the beginning. He was going through a divorce and was a very angry man.) Monday night mayhem is a pretty good show too. Those guys are hardcore marks. As am I. So I like it. It might turn off some of the more cynical wrestling fans but it's a decent show. they get big interviews and have pretty good segments breaking down the shows and looking forward at what's to come. Carmichael
<p>i dont understand how people dont listen to review a wai. seriously. they put out such a high level of content each week. i urge everyone to give them a listen. They review raw and impact each week, plus every sunday after the LAW they review a PPV or something wrestling related from the past. </p><p> </p><p> Its really good. Give them a listen, far better than colt colbana, I want Wrestling and Right after Wrestling, they'll all really boring in comparison imo.</p><p> </p><p> REVIEW A WAI</p>

bookerman
<p>Oh my....a weekly Corny podcast would be awesome. I'd pay for that.</p><p> </p><p> Is Jim a regular on a podcast? If so, which one?</p><p> </p><p> Also, Dutch Mantel on the I Want Wrestling one reminded me a lot of Cornette. He didn't rant, but a lot of the same issues with product, booking, etc. As Lagana says, trying to do something in WWE creative is like trying to get 20 people to agree on where to go for lunch.</p>

bookerman
<p>I find them fairly interesting, especially when they are guys like Kevin Steen or Chris Hero. Not well known, but have some great stories. Steen's story about learning English (he's French Canadian) by watching WWF is quite funny. Chris Hero's story from NOAH and what he said to Misawa to start a match is hilarious. The Beth Phoenix one is good if for nothing else the "pay it forward" story. I won't ruin it as it's not really available anywhere else.</p><p> </p><p> Overall, it gives me a deeper appreciation of the people out there trying to live their dream as well as some stories you won't find anywhere else.</p><p> </p><p> The I Want Wrestling podcast is where I first learned that Shane Helms busted Bagwell's jaw. Had to google it to get more info.</p><p> </p><p> I tried listening to the Review a Wai of Summerslam and they spent the first 10-15 minutes talking about random stuff and opening a pack of wrestling cards. I may give them a listen again at another time.</p>
Carmichael
i think you need to give it a bit longer than that. they do like to just do some little bit of humour to begin with, which i dont mind, but seriously once they get into the review, its really interesting to hear people go over old shows that i watched when i was younger, brings back a lot of memories good and bad, good when they review a great show like wrestlemania x7 and bad when they review an old wcw show and point out the outright insanity. Carmichael
oh and i understand your point about colt's podcast, i just never feel im ever enough of a mark of guys like steen or hero to ever want to listen to them. obviously loads are, i guess but im not. lazorbeak
Bringing this back up to tell anyone that hasn't checked it out to listen to Colt Cabana's interview with Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson. Good stuff, although it pretty well confirms that Bryan is more interested in being a good worker than he is in being a big WWE "superstar." lazorbeak
Today Cabana dropped his 100th episode of Art of Wrestling. Cabana is the guest and he's interviewed by Punk, who also does all of Cabana's shilling in the intro.
Hyde Hill
Just wondering apart from podcasts what other reviews you guys watch or read and can recommend? For instance Foolkiller on youtube for Impact reviews, almost always entertaining or mike johnson at PWI for show reports.
Unregistered
I used to Listen to In Your Head, but only for the interviews with peolpe I liked. My nominee is the Extreme Oddcouple Podcast with Steve Corino. It's not really all about wrestling at all, but of course it has one of the most entertaining guys in wrestling in it. I'd love it if they'd spend more time on wrestling every week, but at the same time I enjoy the show just as much without the wrestling talk. Colt's show is good, I just don't enjoy his pre-interview stuff.
