Road to Glory - The journey of Eric Freer

Recommended Posts

<p>Awesome! This is good news for a couple of reasons 1) I am happy for you. 2) This gives me hope for my own recently started RtG wherein one of my owner goals right off the bat was to hit small within two years. You did it inside of a year, even if it was with the +5 pop boost. Now, some predictions:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Happy Elwood</strong> v Mark Smart</p><p>

<em>Elwood continues to be a solid upper card preformer</em></p><p> </p><p>

Roger Montiero v <strong>Jared Johnson</strong></p><p>

<em>Roger is never going to get a break until he gets with the program</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tresanya Shandel w/ Jen Neptune</strong> v New York Red</p><p>

<em>NYR is on the slide. The ladies are pulling excellent grades w/ their promos, the boost in pop from winning will only help in the long run</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>???</strong> v Ant-man</p><p>

<em>Tough, tough match to call. I'll give the edge to ???</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Eric Freer</strong> v Paradox</p><p>

<em>UC Takes it</em></p><p> </p><p>

Paranoia v<strong> ???</strong></p><p>

<em>Paranoia is still a bit of a jobber</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brandon Idol</strong> v ???</p><p>

<em>Idol hasn't had a proper rematch for the title he was ROBBED of.</em></p><p> </p><p>

??? V <strong>KC Glenn</strong></p><p>

<em>KCG proves he is a fighting champion</em></p>

For the first time since they grew to small size Full Throttle Wrestling is proud to perform for you. With all your old favorites returning, and multiple mystery signings. It's time for

FTW – Muddy and Tired

A local band plays a fanfare to bring the crowd of 62 to their seats. The spot lights turn to the locker room entrance and the show begins.

As the crowds are just jumping in their seats, Ant-Man comes down to the ring, but for once he's not alone. A blond haired woman is with him and she grabs a microphone while leading Ant-man into the ring. Most of the crowd is surprised, but a few start whispering that it's Sienna DeVille

Good evening all you worms. Tonight, a new era will start here at Full Throttle Wrestling. No longer will the little bugs run around and fly for your entertainment. Instead, they will be fed to Ant-man, watch and tremble as he demolishes those pathetic bugs you call high-flying wrestlers. E- (18)

Ant-Man w/ Sienna Deville v ???

Sienna clears the ring and the Canadian Anthem starts playing. As the crowd watches Nate Johnson strides to the ring. He steps in and the bell is rung. Nate Johnson defeated Ant-Man in 7:22 by pinfall with a Natural Order. E (27)

After the match Nate grabs the microphone. He says that Ant-man was only the beginning and he's here to clean up any foul play that once occurred. D- (39)

Paranoia v ???

Paranoia arrives at the ring obviously wondering who is opponent will be. The local band strikes up the song "Glowworm", but Paranoia is clearly confused by it. Then as the band starts up "Flight of the Bumblebee" the Amazing Firefly comes down to the ring. Sadly, despite being a high flyer Paranoia had trouble keeping up with the Firefly. Paranoia defeated Amazing Fire Fly in 4:36 by pinfall with a Freak Out. E- (22)

Roger Montiero v Jared Johnson

And for once, in a squash match Roger delivers. Jared Johnson defeated Roger Monteiro in 2:40 by pinfall with a MDK Powerbomb. E+ (29)

Then a screen shows backstage. Jakki is seen talking with Eric, telling him that his match against Paradox will be easy and that he's destined for great things in the company with her by his side. E- (19)

Tresanya Shandel w Jen Neptune v New York Red

New York Red might be on his way out, but he wasn't going to lose to a girl using the ropes for leverage to ensure the pin. New York Red defeated Tresanya Shandel in 5:51 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. E- (19)

Eric Freer w/ Jakki v Paradox

Eric Freer defeated Paradox in 6:47 by pinfall. E- (20)

After the match, Gil tells Jakki to wait and then summons the other ladies in the promotion down for an impromptu bikini contest. After a few minutes of strutting and posing Tresanya Shandel is declared the winner. D- (38)

Happy Elwood v Mark Smart

Just another squash match, but Mark didn't look as good as Roger did earlier. E- (20)

Brendan Idol v ???

Brendan looks a bit nervous in the ring awaiting his opponent. The music starts playing the Imperial March from Star Wars and Ted Brady storms to the ring. The veteran scowls as he faces the young wrestler as the bell sounds. Ted proved he'll do anything to win. Ted Brady defeated Brendan Idol in 12:21 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. E+ (30)

After the match Brendan and Ted argue over some of Ted's tactics. Soon they are fighting again, but this time it’s a brawl in the aisle heading to the locker room. Davis, Jonathan, Gil, Eric and Jared rush to the scene to separate the battling wrestlers. F+ (16)

??? v KC Glenn [c]

The final match of the night is not a title one, but once again is introducing a new wrestler. KC Glenn comes down and watches the locker room entrance. The band strikes up some strange oriental tune and Panda Mask II emerges heading to the ring. The match was the longest ever for FTW, but couldn't beat some of the earlier matches. KC Glenn defeated Panda Mask II in 22:30 by pinfall with a Tune Up The Sunshine Band. E+ (35)

Overall a decent, but not outstanding show. E+ (30) We've had better, but now I know what my new wrestlers can do. The worker costs were $8097

((the appearance of the new wrestlers had a huge impact. No one got all 4 mystery matches correct.

Phreak, I saw your comment about reaching small in 2 years. In my experience if you are putting on at least E+ grade shows it takes no more than 19-20 shows to reach small if the importance of the region you are in is at least 85%. From what I can tell a letter grade 2 above your current importance at local/small raises overness 1 point, 1 letter grade is about .5 points. When I went to edit the data after the roll my overness was 6.6% after 12 events. Just under .6% increase per show.))

Yes, there were 6 new signings in the month, and several others we approached, but did not sign for some reason. The signers were.

Panda Mask II – signed as a upper midcard face for $600 PPA.

Ted Brady – signed as an upper midcard heel for $600 PPA plus travel

Sienna Deville – signed as a heel manager for $100 PPA

Jakki – signed as a face manager for $150 PPA

Amazing Firefly – signed as an enhancement talent heel for $150 PPA plus travel

Nate Johnson – signed to be a new main event face for $1000 PPA plus travel

Monday, Week 1, April 2011

Finances continue to improve as sponsor money remained strong and the promotion added another $9519 to its coffers.

And more good news, KC Glenn was willing to sign a 15 month extension to his contract. His pay is increased to $900 PPA, but no travel expenses are included.

Tresanya Shandel w/ Jen Neptune v Mark Smart

<p>Awesome show. SO cool you brought in The Curmudgeon. So much so I'm not even upset that Idol lost to him.</p><p> </p><p>

Roger Montiero v <strong>Ant-man w/ Sienna DeVille</strong></p><p>

<em>Roger may have preformed a little better last time around, but keep in mind it was JJ that dragged that one out of him.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brendan Idol</strong> v Paradox</p><p>

<em>Idol REALLY needs to get some momentum going, this up and down business cant be good.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tresanya Shandel w/ Jen Neptune</strong> v Mark Smart</p><p>

<em>The ladies get this one.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Paranoia v <strong>New York Red</strong></p><p>

<em>Tough one to call. I didn't expect Paranoia to be going over last time around. Heck didn't think NYR would either. So, I'm guessing</em></p><p> </p><p>

Eric Freer v <strong>Ted Brady</strong></p><p>

<em>Brady cheats his way to another one.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Panda Mask II v <strong>Jared Johnson</strong></p><p>

<em>JJ is still the man</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Nate Johnson</strong> v Amazing Fire Fly</p><p>

<em>Firefly is going to be on job patrol til he can get that overness up</em></p><p> </p><p>

Happy Elwood v <strong>KC Green</strong></p><p>

<em>KCG just cant be stopped.</em></p><p> </p><p>

As an aside, in terms of my own game, I have been growing fairly steadily. I'm only 5 or so shows in, but my grades have been improving with each card. So I just looked, my first show was a 17 and my last and fifth was a 35 with a slight improvement each month. I'm based in the great lakes. I used Remi's product, so its performance skewed but my angles still grade out fairly well. Okay, thats enough derailing for now, just thought I'd share a little bit. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Edit: Ah, there he is. And you hit Small, I remember reading that. Dang it. I'm pretty sure my game's going to go much, much worse. Even with more sponsorship monies ._.</p>

<p>Wednesday, Week 3, April 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Picked up another wrestler when I signed Thea Davis to a contract as a lower midcard heel, giving the promotion a third female wrestler. Added her to the card and will allow her to face Jen Nepture.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

FTW Spring Stampede 2 - In front of 58 Fans</p><p> </p><p>

The night opened with Jakki leading out Eric. She looked at the crowd and smiled. "All of you are wondering about the invasion of new faces. Well one needs to be taken down. Ted, I know you hate the fact that so many wrestlers today are far more successful than you were in your pitiful career, but right now you still have one. Today, my man, the man who's been everywhere Eric Freer will start the process of sending you to hell. May you enjoy the trip. <strong>E (27)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Roger Montiero v Ant-Man</p><p>

It wasn't even a good squash and Roger found another wrestler that he doesn't match up well with. The only nice note was that Sienna put on a decent performance as a manager. Ant-Man defeated Roger Monteiro in 4:15 by pinfall with an Antidote. <strong>F+ (12)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Brendan Idol v Paradox</p><p>

This should have been the opening match. Brendan is proving to be a consistent worker and able to get decent matches out of anyone. (decent for our tiny little promotion that is.) Brendan Idol defeated Paradox in 4:41 by pinfall with an Idolizer. <strong>E (24)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Nate Johnson is then seen in the back at a table, he looks at the camera. "Folks, I said I was going to clean things up and I will. Right now the title is held by some grungy singer who has little respect for your, or the other wrestlers. KC, you are a disgrace to wrestling. You could never been successful in this sport and I will prove it. Let's meet next month at FTW Full Throttle Mayhem and I'll put an end to your reign. <strong>E+ (30)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Tresanya Shandel w/ Jen Neptune v Mark Smart</p><p>

Two lower midcarders who mostly job to others faced off and the result was predictable, but was actually better than the opening match. Not that its saying much. Tresanya won the match. <strong>F+ (15)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After the match Tresanya took the time to throw a few t-shirts into the stands, then she removed the blouse she was wearing over her wrestling attire and added that to the offerings to the crowd before racing to the back. <strong>D+ (49)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Paranoia v New York Red</p><p>

Well, I found the worst match of the night. These two have no psychology skills and even with a script they can't wrestle together. Paranoia defeated New York Red in 6:55 by pinfall with a Freak Out. <strong>F+ (12)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jen Neptune w/ Tresanya Shandel v Thea Davis</p><p>

Better than I expected. Jen Neptune defeated Thea Davis in 4:37 by pinfall with an Alabama Jam. <strong> E- (18)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Before the match between Ted and Eric, Ted rushed Eric and slams him into a turnbuckle and then viciously beats him. Jonathan Taylor has to rush to the ring to separate them for the match. <strong>E- (20)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Eric Freer v Ted Brady</p><p>

It went a bit long for the two wrestlers, but they had good chemistry and got the crowd into the match. My biggest complaint would be that Ted didn't want to lose the match due to him having more popularity. He was given the win to keep the backstage area calm. Ted Brady defeated Eric Freer in 8:18 by pinfall with a quick roll up. <strong>E- (22)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jared Johnson v Panda Mask II</p><p>

Finally getting into the main event matches, and the ones that matter. Jared was set up to have a fairly open match with the new masked wrestler and put on a great show. Jared Johnson defeated Panda Mask II in 9:42 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. <strong>E+ (33)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Afterwards Gil got to rub his hands together and call the ladies out for a parade in their most recent bikini purchases. Jen, Thea, Sienna and Jakki each strutted her best for the crowd with Jen winning the crowds approval. <strong>D- (36)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Nate Johnson v Amazing Fire Fly</p><p>

My mistake was putting this after Jared's match and then making it a bit too long. I was thinking using the match to train Fire Fly, but the crowd didn't like seeing him in a long match. Nate Johnson defeated Amazing Fire Fly in 12:47 by pinfall with a Natural Order. <strong>E- (20)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

KC Glenn v Happy Elwood – FTW World Title</p><p>

This match was what I expected from my biggest main eventer and one of my more consistent wrestlers. KC Glenn defeated Happy Elwood in 11:20 by pinfall with a Tune Up The Sunshine Band. <strong>D- (39)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After the match KC tells Nate that he'll happily meet him next month at Full Throttle Mayhem. <strong>D (41)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

The fans left fairly happy, but this show wasn't quite a new best. <strong>E+ (33) </strong> Worker costs were a record $8808, but are expected to be far below the sponsor funds.</p>

((probably my biggest frustration has been how slowly I build up overness with these guys. Wins help, but unless I want to throw money on a wrestler I probably won't keep they don't go up every month. The poor wrestling industry doesn't help. in 2011 it was D level and falling and the economy was worse.</p><p> </p><p>

Phreak, it takes a while to start getting really good cards. If you are performance based it will be a bit easier than what you see here. I'm taking a penalty because performance is balanced by popularity and the highest overness on my roster at this point is around 26. (a year later its 36.) It brings down most of my shows. I'm debating starting another RTG diary with a performance based product in the near future.</p><p> </p><p>

Eiden. my shortlist for wrestlers in this game is some 80 people long. Any young worker with solid performance skills and decent tech or flying eventually finds his way on the short list, and I'm constantly looking for the one wrestler who can really help the promotion (as well as watching for who to let go because they just can't perform. The little year end write up I did for all my workers is not something I do each month, but shows what I watch. The workers who have been let go all had poor match results and low overness. although I can and do occasionally fire a worker I've become frustrated with because they don't want to lose matches.))</p>

<p>Saturday, Week 4, April 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Monday, Week 1, May 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Sponsor month of $18,343 and record miscellaneous revenues helped the promotion bring in $10,132 in profit and bring the bank account up to $34,811. Financial health seems assured even if my lousy booking means that growth is painfully slow.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<p>I would say given that you are already pop=pref, it wouldn't be that hard to skew your product towards pref, and not have to start a new dynasty. Just a thought.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Elwood isn't going to be taking the fall to Davis. Hes proven to be an excellent gatekeeper.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>After losing his last two, Panda Mask proves he deserves his spot.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Another tough one to call. With KCG's commitments, it would make sense to move the title off him. With there being so little build up, KCG keeps his title, for now... Also, Idol has yet to see his rematch. :|</em></p>

Domination. That's how you can build overness best at smaller levels. I got my 30 pop in one month from repeated dominations; I haven't gained a point since. Other guys have gained a little by open-matching with me, but I'm a relative superstar.

<p>Friday, Week 2, May 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Contracts for the original workers in FTW are starting to come up for renewal. Decisions are being made.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Thursday, Week 4, May 2011</p><p> </p><p>

4C has called Nate Johnson and offered him a contract. He's already with CGC and my promotion so this is going to spread him rather thin.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Now we have FTW Full Throttle Mayhem 2 live in front of 58 people</p><p> </p><p>

The lights come on and a video is shown of Tresanya backstage pulling on the white blouse and straightening her glasses before heading to the ring. <strong>C- (54)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Tresanya Shandel w/ Jen Neptune v Ted Brady</p><p>

A squash match between the skilled heel and the rookie Tresanya ended as expected. Ted Brady defeated Tresanya Shandel in 4:13 by pinfall. <strong>E- (19)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As Tresanya stepped away from the ring to exchange with Jen, Ted took the microphone and screamed that little girls like her should be in pigtails and playing with dolls rather than wrestling. <strong>E+ (32)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jen Neptune w/ Tresanya Shandel v Mark Smart</p><p>

Jen is on a bit of a win streak and put Mark away. Jen Neptune defeated Mark Smart in 5:28 by pinfall with an Alabama Jam. <strong>E- (17)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After the win Jen and Tresanya gave the audience a lift by dancing in the ring before rushing to the back. <strong>D+ (51)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Brendan Idol v Amazing Fire Fly</p><p>

The squash of the Firefly went as expected. Brendan Idol defeated Amazing Fire Fly in 4:25 by pinfall with an Idolizer. <strong>E (27)</strong></p><p>

Paranoia v Ant-Man w Sienna DeVille</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

A timely grab of Paranoia's leg caused him to fall into the ring and he was quickly covered by Ant-man. Sadly, Paranoia was off his game and the match was the worst of the night so far. Ant-Man defeated Paranoia in 6:28 by pinfall with an Antidote after Sienna DeVille interfered. <strong>F+ (16)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jared then came out to the ring. He demanded that Brendan come out and face him since he was no longer the big man in the promotion. When Brendan emerged he was jumped by Ant-Man and Firefly. Jared taunted the crowd by telling them that he was now the leader of the Insect Horde and would be using them to destroy the competition. <strong>E- (20)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Happy Elwood v Thea Davis</p><p>

Thea is new and young, but managed a decent match with Happy, nothing special though. Happy Elwood defeated Thea Davis in 6:54 by pinfall. <strong>E (24)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Panda Mask II v Paradox</p><p>

Rather weak performance here, which was a bit of a disappointment considering both wrestlers are strong fliers. Panda Mask II defeated Paradox in 8:54 by pinfall with a Pandamonium. <strong>E- (19)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A screen shows the backstage area where KC and Nate have started brawling. Backstage officials quickly separate them, but they scream insults as the picture faces. <strong>E (27)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Eric Freer v Jared Johnson</p><p>

Eric came out strong and pushed Jared to the ropes a few times. Finally Jared rolled Eric up and grabbed his tights to ensure the pin. Jared Johnson defeated Eric Freer in 7:22 by pinfall with a handful of tights. <strong>D- (37)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Nate Johnson v KC Glenn – FTW World Title</p><p>

The crowd got into this match as Nate and KC put everything into it. In the end Nate defeated the young phenom and took the title. Nate Johnson defeated KC Glenn in 7:42 by pinfall with a Natural Order <strong>D- (40)</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2 D- matches and they were the last 2. The crowds complained a bit about the angle with Jared, Ant-man and Firefly, but otherwise said it was the best show put on by FTW. <strong>D- (36)</strong> Worker costs were $8,691</p>

((Phreak, we pretty much had the same thoughts in regards to your predictions. I had decided that KC was just too popular to risk him holding the belt. He deserved it, but I was very unsure he'dd stick around.</p><p> </p><p>

As for changing the product. The funny thing is that I never thought of that. I always picture changing the product as something that will cost overness, so I work with what I have. Besides, there are other things I want to try out, and its not like I couldn't run two different games when I'm posting one event a day. </p><p> </p><p>

This is a lot of fun actually. I will complain about my struggles, but that's because its interesting to play TEW and see what you can, or can't do. I can already see a few of the missteps I took while playing, and while I might recover, I might not. But then again, I'm also debating a diary for a C-verse promotion from either Australia (probably Zen), the UK (21st) or Europe (EWA). And I still have a mod idea I'm playing with, but I have no artistic ability and can't really render wrestlers, so that's been on hold a bit. I can definitely come up with ideas for promotions and wrestlers, but without renders the mod wouldn't be all that interesting.))</p>

<p>Saturday, Week 4, May 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Changes are brewing. 2 workers are not being offered renewed contracts and a third's renewal is pending an attempt to attract a better worker to join. Also the promotion has announced that starting in June, a new FTW Tag Title will be contested for the first time. 5 tag teams have been assembled.</p><p> </p><p>

There also are rumors that Happy Elwood is going to turn heel at the next show and that Paradox will be turning face.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Monday, Week 1, June 2011</p><p> </p><p>

The sponsors came up with $18,658 for the promotion. With a strong month of merchandise sales the promotion ended the month with a profit of $10,286. The bank account continues to grow.</p><p> </p><p>

Also a big signing for the promotion, but an expensive one. Renowned road agent The Stomper was talked into signing for $2,500 PPA with an $800 downside. (not sure why the downside matters, he'll never miss a show if I can arrange it.)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

3 Workers will come to the end of their contracts in June 2011 and not returning.</p><p> </p><p>

Road agent Buttercup. Sadly, with The Stomper willing to run the backstage, she's no longer of value to the promotion. The advantage with her was she worked cheap, but now, we need good, not cheap.</p><p> </p><p>

Roger Montiero</p><p>

0-0-2 in 2011 0-0-9 for career with FTW</p><p>

He was a jobber, and not a particularly good one. His match average was E- (17) and he has 2 F (9) ratings in matches. He leaves with no change to his popularity in the South East Region after 17 months of being under contract. The fact that he fought with Announcer Davis Ditterich had a negative impact on the backstage during shows, adding to the marks against him.</p><p> </p><p>

New York Red</p><p>

1-0-3 in 2011 7-0-8 for career with FTW</p><p>

Started as a main eventer, but his age and lack of star quality meant that newer wrestlers pushed him down the card. His match average was E- (19) barely better than Roger and despite being a main eventer for most of 2010 he only had one match score above 30. (a 34 in March 2010 against Brendan Idol.) He was also a negative backstage influence.</p>

<p>Saturday, Week 1, June 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Hired 2 new wrestlers for the promotion. Mr. Lucha III is now a midcard heel for the promotion and auto pushing as a main event face is Christy Huggins.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Monday, Week 3, June 2011</p><p> </p><p>

Amazing FireFly signed with MPWF. This doesn't have an impact on June, but will add to my scheduling puzzle.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<p>Panda Mask II v <strong>Ted Brady</strong></p><p>

<em>Was there ever any doubt?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Paratroops (Paranoia & Paradox)</strong> v Smart and Happy (Happy Elwood and Mark Smart)</p><p>

<em>The rumors are true! After smart loses the match for his team, Happy gets...well...Unhappy and makes his long awaited heel turn.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Tag Team Tourney match 2</p><p>

Not Desperate Housewives (Tresanya & Jen) v <strong>Insect Bite (Ant-Man & Firefly)</strong></p><p>

<em>Tough one to call. I see Ant being the deciding factor in this one</em></p><p> </p><p>

Chrissy Huggins v <strong>Mr. Lucha III</strong></p><p>

<em>REALLY tough one to call. Huggins has the bigger starting push, but Lucha has just so much more upside.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brandon Idol</strong> v Thea Davis</p><p>

<em>Idol continues his quest to regain the title that was STOLEN from him</em></p><p> </p><p>

Eric Freer v<strong> KC Glenn</strong></p><p>

<em>Yet another REALLY tough one. KCG loses the title. Do you keep him strong and around the top of the card. Or do you leech that overness onto your UC... I dunno. KCG FOR THE WIN, THAT IS MY FINAL ANSWER REEG.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Nate Johnson</strong> v Jared Johnson – FTW World Title</p><p>

<em>Two Johnsons, there can be only one. Nate isn't going down quite like that.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In terms of changing your product vs loss of overness, I wouldn't think the impact would be that big. It should be more of a tweak than an overhaul. Again just something to think about. Oh, and why are we leaving the Curmudgeon of the show, what gives?!</p>

Haha, so I did. I was wondering why Brady had been left off the card. I've edited my original prediction post to include the opener. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

FTW School's Out Bash 2011 - in front of 58 fans. (we can't even fill a 300 person stadium)

Panda Mask II v Ted Brady

Ted continued his underhanded ways as he used the ropes for leverage while rolling up Panda for the three count. The crowd roared to see the heel win. Ted Brady defeated Panda Mask II in 6:58 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. E (29)

Ted was celebrating his victory when Happy Elwood dashed down to attack him. Paradox soon arrived to chase Happy away. F+ (14) rating sucked, but it accomplished its purpose. Happy has turned heel and Paradox is now a face wrestler.

Tag Match Paratroops v Smart & Happy

The name is Smart and Happy, but it's Happy who headlines the pairing and he got the pin against the Paratroops. Smart and Happy defeated Paratroops in 9:28 when Happy Elwood defeated Paranoia by pinfall. E (23)

Tresanya and Jen then came out and played to the crowd, playfully mocking Ted and his status of veteran, saying that it's no wonder he never got far. E (26)

Tag match Not Desperate Housewives v Insect Bite

The girls gained some momentum here as Tresanya pinned FireFly and moved the duo on to the finals against Smart & Happy next month. Not Desperate Houswives defeated Insect Bite in 10:25 when Tresanya Shandel defeated Amazing Fire Fly by pinfall. E- (22)

Brendan Idol v Thea Davis

Chemistry! We found Chemistry! Thea and Brendan work great together in the ring and put on a lively match that Brendan won. Brendan Idol defeated Thea Davis in 8:17 by pinfall with an Idolizer. E+ (30)

Jakki then lead Eric Freer to the ring, while they sat next to the announcers booth Jakki talked up Eric's abilities. He joined in taking time to stand up and pose for the crowd. E (23)

Christy Huggins v Mr. Lucha III

No chemistry from the two newest members of the promotion, but they put on one of the best matches ever seen by the crowd. Christy Higgins defeated Mr. Lucha III in 6:55 by pinfall with a Florida Upswing. D- (38)

Eric Freer V KC Glenn

The former champion had no trouble with the boss as he got the pinfall. Sadly, the previous match would have been a better penultimate match. KC Glenn defeated Eric Freer in 9:23 by pinfall with a Tune Up The Sunshine Band. E+ (32)

Nate Johnson v Jared Johnson – FTW World Title

The battle of the main eventers with the last name Johnson ended predictably as Nate got the pin in the best match of the night and the best ever for the promotion. Nate Johnson defeated Jared Johnson in 8:06 by pinfall with a Natural Order D (43)

The show was dragged down a bit by the one bad angle (hated to use it, but had to turn the two wrestlers. Hoped it would grade a bit better.) Still it was one of the best we've ever done, and the averages continue to go up. D- (36) Worker costs were a record $12,827 (darn you Stomper for demanding so much.)

((Wow, I expected the predictions to be off a bit, but not that mauch. Interestingly both Jaded and Phreak got the tag tourney 100% wrong, although with only 2 matches and the strong face/heel divide that's not exactly unlikely..))

Saturday, Week 4, June 2011

Paid $3,600 to open an exclusive venue on the South East that can hold 150 screaming fans. At current growth rates it will take a year to fill it.

I did perform a brief review of the performances of all the workers in the promotion at this time. The bests and worsts for the last six months were

Best Match - D 43 (Nate Johnson v Jared Johnson)

Worst best match for a wrestler – E (23) Mark Smart

Best Average Performance – KC Glenn E+ (35)

Worst average performance – Mark Smart E- (19)

Also having achieved the demands of Gil Thomas in not hiring any Psychopath or MMA Crossover Wrestlers during the first 18 months the promotion was open, he has now said that the minimum athletic ability must be 35 during the next 28 months

No wrestlers fall under this, but Davis Ditterich, Jakki, Sienna DeVille and Jonathan Taylor all fail to meet this requirement. As does the boss Gil Thomas.

Another new goal, This time Gil has decreed that I cannot hire any wrestler who has the Technican style for the next 14 months. One problem with this is that Main Event Heel Jared Johnson is a technican and I definitely don't want to be seeing him leave. Fortunately, the demand is only that I not hire, not that I cannot extend a contract.

Saturday, Week 1, July 2011

Thea Davis was invited to tour with 5SSW on their next tour. I think half my wrestlers work for 2 promotions or more and I'm always the least important at this time.
