Crazier things have happened in real life. ;)

I don't think it's out of the realm of what's possible because, in reality, anything is possible in life. Do I see these guys banding together for a youth movement of sorts? Possibly. Do I see them banding together because they are sick and tired of being held down/told what to do/pushed around in a difficult industry? Yea. I could see any wrestler banding with other friends and, after a long conversation that boils into a fevered pitch, eventually come up with a crazy idea to 'take on the world'.

I would think the company would need to be really small though; think PWG. You probably wouldn't have a TV deal in place (unless you had someone with a bigger name heading the place up).

I say, if the story seems fun for you to write then go for it! :) I'll swing in and give it a read when I can.

Oh yes, besides giving the four main proprietors written deals (since it is their company) and having a little money set aside because of Aaron's savings, it would be a 0/0/0 game. Start from the bottom and work their way up. I think I'm going to start tweaking the backstory I've got so far and get this thing going. I think it'll be a blast to write.

Thanks for the comments :-)

Great! The more you talk about it the more I'm excited to give it a read! :) Best of luck!

Just a little preview of the initial back story. Thoughts? Eisen-Verse?

<center><table width=50%><tr><td>

Tommy Cornell said I’d be a star in TCW. I was well on my way, but my ego was telling me differently. Tommy and his head booker, Joel Bryant had shown their faith in me with my three stints as All Action Champion and a decent reign as International Champion through half of 2013. I had seen it happen numerous times before me; the International Title was the final stepping stone before heading into the main event scene. Tommy and I had even had a meeting early in the year to discuss the potential for a push towards a heel turn and challenging Rocky Golden for the World Heavyweight Title, which he was scheduled to win half way through the year. I did my best to keep my ego in check and work hard in the ring as we approached my promised push. I had a countdown widget on my Samsung Galaxy and watched it countdown closer to zero. The days clicked off to an event two months before I was scheduled to challenge for the title. Being in the wrestling business for the amount of time that I had been, I knew that the buildup should have started on this night. I checked the script and saw nothing special scheduled between Rocky and I. I was scheduled to defeat Harry Allen in a dark match before Total Wrestling hit the air. I kept telling myself that it just wasn’t time to pull the trigger yet. The days kept ticking down closer to my moment of glory with not so much as appearing on screen with Rocky. Despite my gut telling me I should give up on my hopes, I stayed positive until my countdown hit zero and watched Tommy Cornell challenge Rocky Golden for the title and fall short.

Apparently plans had changed and nobody had deemed it necessary to inform me. I felt a fire spark inside of me; one of anger. Gone were the days of keeping to myself in the locker room so as to not screw my position up. I had always been considered a troublemaker backstage because of my attitude, mean spirited pranks and downright jerk-like behavior, but even I am embarrassed as I look back to the way I behaved through the last half of 2013. It all came to a head at the TCW Christmas party in mid December. I had recently made the move from Los Angeles to Des Moines, Iowa thinking that a change of environment might help my attitude. So I mingled with both the on and off-air staff of TCW. I shared pleasantries for an hour or so before I stumbled across Tommy Cornell and Joel Bryant speaking near the bar. I smiled and nodded as I asked the bartender for a beer just a foot or so from their conversation. After receiving my beverage and slapping a couple of bucks onto the bar, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to find Tommy Cornell smiling at me.

Tommy: You ready for your run at the Heavyweight Title?

It was all it took.

Andrews: You mean the shot I was supposed to get four damn months ago? The shot YOUR lying ass told me I’d get? I was ready for that shot two years ago, but you and your mindless old fart of a yes man over here were too f*cking stupid to realize the potential I had.

The smile was gone from Tommy’s face and Joel’s was filled with a scowl that rivaled my mother’s. I knew there was no turning back at this point and I started to lay it on thicker and heavier. I have since regretted my words, so I won’t share the exact verbiage I spat in Tommy and Joel’s direction. My friend Chance Fortune stepped between us as I began sharing my thoughts on the promiscuity of Tommy’s wife and my thoughts on the possibility that his son was the mailman’s offspring. Chance pushed me out to the entrance of the hotel the party was being held at and told me to cool off before coming back inside. I knew better and took one final pull from my beer before calling a cab and heading back to my hotel room across town.

As luck had it, my contract was set to expire when the ball dropped to mark the New Year. TCW had never been the best contract negotiators, which would explain why they had never been able to steal any talent away from SWF to make a run at being number one. The extension I had signed in 2008 was signed twenty minutes before Total Wrestling went on the air on the last day my contract was valid. So despite my actions, I wasn’t worried about my contract. Upon my arrival back home in Des Moines the next day I had received an e-mail from TCW, notifying me of a fifteen day suspension. I scoffed and laughed as I headed for my home gym. The next fifteen days began to eat away at my conscious as I checked my mailbox for the contract that I was expecting in the mail. Looking back, I guess it wasn’t that surprising that December 31st came and passed without a scrap of mail coming in from the legal department of TCW. They allowed my contract to expire and I was now unemployed. I told myself it would only be a matter of time before one of the other bigger companies would come calling. I was Aaron Andrews after all; I had the “holy trinity” that had defined me as THE future superstar. Two weeks passed and my phone never rang with a job offer. I got adventurous and called SWF’s east coast headquarters. Richard Eisen’s secretary politely told me that he had no interest in speaking with me. On the surface it appeared as though my uproar had been kept from the public, but it seemed as though I had not been as lucky when it came to everyone in the business. I spent a few days making phone calls, but nobody was interested.</td></tr></table></center><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" DefUnhideWhenUsed="true" Kicking around a couple ideas and wanted to see what others on the boards thought. I have always been intrigued with using Phil Vilbert as my user character and the ideas I have in my head are:

1) Vilbert has quietly been putting together a group of investors of current and retired wrestlers to buy (and tweak) USPW into more of an edgier product and ditch the family friendly product. This would all be done behind the scenes with only Sam Strong and possibly his daughter knowing, with Alicia trying to fight it. How would the current roster take it? Who would be left on the roster? Where would the talent that was released go?

2) Vilbert and Mitch Naess reunite in PSW and try to build the Regional promotion into the next DaVE, bringing in some alumni to help garner some interest from the fans.

3) Similar to #2 but Vilbert takes over NYCW and starts another East Coast War with a few COTT promotions.

Any thoughts or opinions are welcome, and thanks in advance.

Personally, I think your USPW idea is pretty cool. It would allow you to tell a great story. I'd check it out for sure. You could do a slow evolving transition into the edgier mainstream stuff and then see exactly how far you can take USPW to compete with TCw and SWF. I'd really like to see that happen.

I spent a few days making phone calls, but nobody was interested.</td></tr></table></center><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" DefUnhideWhenUsed="true" It was a great read, clab!

I'm guessing you drew inspiration from the recent CM Punk/WWE fallout, no? It felt much like it; however, with a nice added twist by having Andrews blow-up (even spit) at Cornell/Bryant. It gives us (the reader) the feeling that Andrews has finally 'snapped' in a way.

Now, how does he get others to join in on him after such a debacle? I'm guessing there will be a lot of wrestlers who would be afraid to follow after him (in his new company) because of what he did. Then again, wrestling is inherently revolutionary; so, give them a good product and a paycheck and I'm sure they'll follow suit. :)

I'm guessing the new company is based out of Iowa? Unique choice. As someone who grew up in the area, it's cool to see someone giving some love (even if it's just that he lives there right now).

All in all, great work!

I've actually been sitting on this idea for more than a year. I can see the similarities though. And yes the company will be based out of Des Moines. I am from northern Illinois and wanted to keep things here in the midwest because it typically doesn't get a ton of love. I based it out of Iowa because nobody in their right mind would move INTO Illinois willingly, especially to start a business. I'm glad I've got your interest. I've been tweaking things in my story a bit and plan to get about three months worth of stuff written up before I start posting. One of the detriments I had met in previous dynasties was writing as I went with nothing in storage. I'd run into real life roadblocks and have nothing to post to keep things flowing. I'm trying to avoid that now.

Kicking around a couple ideas and wanted to see what others on the boards thought.

I think one or two would be good. I think NYCW would be a great promotion to try to bring into the modern era. The 2014 roster is not as good as the 2013 roster but that is just my opinion.

The reason I like the NYCW idea slightly better is because the promotion is based in NYC and so it would make sense that the product could become more edgier just based on what the diversity would be in their fanbase. They would have a large Hispanic American fanbase so you could bring in some luchadores to liven up the product.

I'll echo E-V and say a great idea and easy to read. I've followed just about all of your work (I guess that means we go back a ways :)) and I like this story about his attitude getting in the way and banding together with other disenchanted workers to form a start-up company. Color me interested.

What the heck happened to all of the C-Verse diaries? There used to be a ton on here and now there are only a handful. Which is odd because before there were only a handful of Real World diaries and a ton of C-Verse diaries, I wonder why there has been a change in the trend.

Mitch Naess, Phil Vibert's protege and the long time voice of DAVE, therefore had a lot of time to plan ahead in case of a worst case scenario, and that is how Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling came to be.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';">

The concept was simple; to start again and to repeat the formula that had worked first time around, but to avoid the traps that DAVE fell into. Naess soon had a number of DAVE alumni on his staff and roster, and so began the mission to try and succeed where DAVE failed....and to complete the revolution.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';">

In 2009, Phil Vilbert returned to the business as the booker of Canadian Golden Combat after George DeColt retired and his son Alex took control of the company. Vilbert and the DeColts quickly gained momentum as an alternative to North of the Border Wrestling in Canada. He proved once again that he still is one of the top creative minds in the business.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';">

Chris Caulfield joined Sam Strong's United States Pro Wrestling in August 2007 and quickly showed once again that he is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world. He had legendary feuds with the likes of Bruce The Giant and Peter Valentine and held the USPW Television Title on two occasions. Rumors of Sam Strong's retirement were confirmed at the end of 2012, so Caulfield decided that it was time to move on and help his best friend, Phil Vilbert rebuild his dream on the east coast, Caulfield would lose a Loser Leaves Town match to Bruce The Giant at Thanksgiving Thunder, which allowed him to be written out of the company as Strong granted his wish to be released from his contract.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';">

Mitch Naess and Alex Braun met with Vilbert and Caulfield and the four men quickly ironed out the details on the sale of Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling to Vilbert, with both Naess and Braun staying on as the lead announcer and road agent respectively. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';">

And so begins the second chance of Phil Vilbert.......</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Century Gothic';">

For those of you who might be a fan of my past work on diaries, I'm pleased to inform you that after I complete my Game of Thrones Company mod, I will be starting a new diary playing the mod. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I'm not actually starting any of these ideas (at least not anytime soon) but I have a growing list of diaries that I've liked the idea of, began to plan and then just not got round to doing anything so I thought I'd just throw them out into the open. Be interesting to hear any thoughts on them plus anyone else is welcome to use them/ask for more of my plans.

C-Verse

GSW

I very almost started a GSW. I had a lot of the in game stuff actually set up. It would be really focused around the Warehouse and would be presented more like a tv series than a wrestling show (Sort of inspired by an idea 20LEgend had about a reality tv wrestling show which we almost turned into a 2player diary) . It was going to be more of a bar which put on fight nights in a cage. So whilst there would be one title it actually wouldn't be the most prestigious thing to win. The main eventers were more gang leaders and entertainment acts. I think Fro Sure was set as my main face. He was like a rapper/singer. Brother Grimm's record label would be the main face gang. There was also a mexican gang (stereotypical I know, but the game already had mexican tag teams there so I just grouped them). Then there was this Drug Lord called Yellowface (I can't remember who that was in game) and he had little lackeys and made up a group. So the main 'belt' to win was the trios title which was basically just who had won the last gang fight. Another idea (sort of taken from Self's diary) was a VIP title where the champion won the right to the VIP lounge.

Long Terms plans were to have some larger company in story buy out GSW. At first it would look like they were making it big and PPV would be the first events not in the Warehouse and would be in a larger more fancy bar. But in time there were more sinister motives for buying at GSC. (I can't remember those properly without looking but was something about Fro Sure's rival rapper).

I think whether this could actually be decent though is all about who it's written. If it's just done like a usual diary with results you won't really get the feel of it being in The Warehouse and would just seem like a typical hardcore rebel like promotion.

USPW

This idea came about because I wanted to play a game save and wanted to make it a diary (because I get way more into them if they are) but I didn't want to write out long shows or anything like that. The plan was to run USPW like normal and keep it really simple and stick to the USPW formula. But rather than making the diary about that, the story was that Alicia was being prepped to take over and asked for a show just aired online. It would basically be a complete behind the scenes look at running a wrestling show. I see it as a cross between Total Divas and a political drama. A good portion of the scenes would be the booking committee debating pushes/plans etc.. I could probably work in any promotion really but I think the larger the better and I think Alicia Strong, Sam Strong, Shane Sneer, Peter Valentine would make an interesting group. The main reason I planned this was just because it would be easy to do. Essentially just write down what I thought when booking the shows in game and then play devils advocate/adjust it to fit some backstage story lines.

Summit Wrestling

Another one which I actually played a lot of in game but never got that close to making a diary of it was a scenario where TCW try to go more mainstream to challenge SWF. Joshua Taylor was going to leave wanting to be part of a true wrestling company and found one himself (this could go with him coming into money somehow because I think it works best if they can go straight to cult and sign good wrestlers). The idea is nothing original or overly interesting but basically he founded Summit Wrestling (whenever I want a new company I look at Kamchatka's Logo Thread and Summit Wrestling looked perfect. Essentially trying to put on a Puro promotion in the US. (Story could also have other TCW wrestlers like Ino join him)

RW/CV

Here was a more crazy idea... In the real world Vince is basically trying to find a way to become immortal by funding loads of crazy research. He gets a call one day that they believe they have created a portal to some other dimension or something like that. Vince being Vince decides he has to be the first human ever to cross into the new world. He's warned that they may not be a way back but knowing he's conquered Earth with the WWE he wants a new challenge. So Vince goes through and it's pretty similar to Earth but it's the C-Verse. So he scouts out SWF for a while (probably with him mocking how bad it is, not realising how close it is to the WWE) He then somehow starts to get messages through from 'home' (don't ask me how it's not like the story isn't already unbelievable). He tells the people his plan to take over this wrestling world. Re-starts the WWE.

Now... this is where I needed to sort the sci-fi bit of the story out more because for this to truly work... Vince needs to be able to communicate not just with Earth.. but Earth at any time period. Now a lot of the story writes itself now but the diary would again be more about the backstage of it. I.E Vince tries to persuade Stone Cold to come across, he doesn't want to, so instead he gives the Stone Cold gimmick to someone else. He brings in Hogan first, then after failing Stone Cold, Bruno maybe, Undertaker soon after... after a bit he goes for HHH but he's pissed to find out that he was Vince's like 10th pick. It could also be interesting if he couldn't always get the wrestlers in their prime. Say if he went to Hogan in the middle of Hulkamania and asked him to come and start a new company and leave his family etc he would say no... so perhaps to get Hogan he has to settle for 2005 Hogan and offer him the chance to relive his past glories etc. One thing I liked about this is it would look really cool using Bio Hizzle's work here especially when the inevitable SWF invasion happened.

I actually had the most fun planning this and built up lots of ideas but then sort of looked back at it a week later and thought what on earth am I writing haha.

But yeah I've just dumped all the ideas down basically in case anyone wants to discuss them/has any thoughts.

Going to be my first attempt at a game, thought I'd make a diary out of it.

Mid Atlantic Wrestling, January 1st, 2013

In a small little office somewhere up in the Mid-Atlantic, Sam Keith is sitting at his desk, the booking for the Rip Chord Invitational being pieced together as the days go on, pictures and biographies of possible stars laying on his desk as he clears his throat, looking over to the battle worn face of the man sitting opposite him.

SK:Let's face the facts here Jean...

Sam leaned forward as he addressed his head booker of the company, Mean Jean Cattley.

Mid-Atlantic Wrestling is a self sustaining product, it always has been, and as long as we continue to do business this way it always will be. We're too big to be forgotten any time soon but we're too small to be noticed by a major audience. That needs to change, I've wanted it to change for a while now and I have been a patient man. It's a well known fact that Rip and I are good friends, when he handed this business over to me I wanted to keep his vision alive. I wanted MAW to be the premier company for rising stars of this industry and it a lot of people's eyes, it already is...what do I have to show for it Jean? What success is there to brag about here?

Jean looked a little uncomfortable and a little frustrated in answering that question, what with all the hard work he had put in over the years to help make MAW the company it is today.

MJC: Well I think we're leading the way in terms of developing young talent...

SK: Oh we've got development down to the last degree Jean, I'll agree with you there, but that's all we know, it's all we've done and while I enjoy watching these wrestlers grow and progress. I certainly do not enjoy seeing them get taken away by companies that are far more interested than ratings wars than putting on a good product! What I want and this year? This is the year where it needs to start, we can only keep up this way for so long before we're sapped of talent and resources, it's time to act...it's time to take things in a new direction!

Jean clenched his fists slightly, expecting the worst, though his loyalty to the company lead him to bite his tongue and agree with whatever it may be that Sam was suggesting.

MJC: I'm on board for anything you suggest sir...

SK: I know you are Jean and I'm thankful for that, I need you to show the talent a better way, I need you to take them under your wing...but what I also need, is a fresh face, somebody who can embody the youth movement and take it to the next level. Jean, I want to bring somebody in on to our creative team, I'm not getting rid of you...far from it. Just think of it as me...lightening the load. Is that understandable Jean?

MJC: It's understandable Sam, I may not like it, but I'm not the one calling the shots...who exactly will be joining us?

Sam just smirked as he leaned back in his chair, picking up a photo from his desk and looking at it with a beaming grin.

SK:That's undecided right now, but if things go the way I want them to? It should be someone very close to home...

Matthew Keith Requests Release!

In shocking news, one of the rising stars of Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling, Matthew Keith son of MAW promoter, Sam Keith has requested his release from the company. The reasoning given by Matthew Keith when approached by interviewers was that while he wanted to pay his dues, he felt like he wasn't being utilized well enough in the company and had received an offer that had peaked his interest.

"I'm not going to give anything away just yet" Matthew says "But i can assure you, after you hear about it, you're all going to want to buy tickets to see it!"

Rumors are spinning all around the wrestling world, citing Matthew's reasoning being tied to what some are referring to as "Family Matters" and questions are being thrown about as to whether his father had anything to do with his PSW departure and whether or not his brother, Greg Gauge will follow suit.

Punk - So Heyman you still enjoying your work?

Heyman - To be honest Punk, I am having the time of my life, no political Bullsh** just me going out there with a mic in my hand and my best friend Lesnar by my side. Its awesome.

Punk - Thats great man as long as you're enjoying it.

Heyman - Well thats the thing, I am now but after Brock drops the belt he's gone and I am there by my self. It's not the same there with you not there but now its going to be even worse without Brock. I just wish I didn't have to be this way. Its boring there! They just keep going back to the same old formula. I wish WCW didn't die, I wish TNA was competition. They have monopolized the wrestling world and there is nothing anyone can do about it!

Cabana - Well what if I told you there was Paul?

Heyman - Cabana?

Cabana - You were asking what that noise was, you know that noise you and Punk were complaining about earlier? Well I have a Tardis

Heyman - What the f***

Punk - You need to take up Straight Edge

Cabana - No guys seriously, it allows me to go to any dimension and any time period! I just finished having tea with Queen Victoria she's a total diva. Anyway, think about it Paul you can go back and win the Monday Night War! Hell you can do what ever you want.

Heyman - You know what? Balls to it, I'll do it. 1991 that's where I'll go, with everything I know about the future and what goings to happen I'll be able to plan things out before Vince does!

Coming Soon....

Alright so there is a pilot for my new diary. I wanted to do something different, creative and out there. With the idea of a Tardis I will be able to book through different types of eras and universe's allowing me to go from RW 1995 to RW 1985 to Cornellverse etc. The Diary will be more focused around the story and not just one specific promotion. Do you like? Feedback and tips are welcome. :D

Question - How do you guys manage Images and what is the quickest way of doing it? PM Me.
