What happens when a once 'Super Indy' is taken over by one Paul E Heyman, the legendary promoter that once brought an East coast promotion to the masses has once again thrown his knowledge and creative genious into the mix. Now it's fours years on and that 'Super Indy has turned into an international sensation. </p><p> </p><p>

We join the company at a cross roads, it's World Heavyweight Champion has had a stranglehold on the top belt and its Zero - G Championship for 8 months and has faulted at any hurdle thrown in his way. Until now when the winner of 'The Best in the World' Tournament; <strong>Spud</strong> has made his way to the number one contendership. Can the plucky underdog win the big one and knock off <strong>The Warlord</strong>? Or will The Warlord pick his teeth with the bones of yet another hapless victim?</p><p> </p><p>

In the tag team ranks we have the emergence of two factions who are sure to be on a collision course as <strong>Raven's Flock</strong> is beginning to gain traction. The grunge group of Raven fanatics include; Doc Gallows, 'Mad Man' Hanson and Rhino. Their soon to be enemies are <strong>The Nation</strong>, the group made up of ethnic minorities have gathered in the wake of the loss of Kenny King are already tag team champions. The members of the Nation are Elijah Burke, Rich Swann, Uhaa Nation and their leader; Prince Nana. Will these two stables meet at a cross roads soon? Or will the two pass each other like two ships in the night? </p><p> </p><p>

Meanwhile in the younger ranks, ROH has some of the stand out stars of professional wrestling. We are keenly watching the careers of Joa Fatu previously of Jey Uso fame, <strong>Ethan Hunter</strong> of Ethan Carter fame and one of the break out stars of 2018 the current No Limits Champion; Kenneth Cameron of <strong>Bram</strong> fame. Who will break out of the pack and become one of the best in the world in the latter part of 2018? Tune in to find out...</p>

I have been toying with the idea of a new diary but really struggling to get the momentum and "umph" to go ahead and start it.

Saving up for a wedding and a house leaves me with some free time at home on an evening so I would love to get back into writing some stuff up but I am really drawing a blank on what to do and where to get the motivation.

Does anybody else start a TEW game but as soon as they write stuff up, it slows the game down massively and the writing starts to feel like a chore to the game itself? I have started about 4 games in the past month with some ideas and first show write ups and each of them have fallen by the wayside because I don't fancy writing up after the second show.

I do enjoy writing so it has left me a bit baffled as to why I can't find the motivation to continue with doing a diary after the first show!

Anyone else experience this or have any tips/advice to overcome it?

I loved a local Thunderverse game I started about a year ago based on characters from WWF late 80's-early 90's but alas it suffered a similar fate but I want to be able to commit to a new idea I have, so how do you chaps do it?

My advice: book ahead of your writing. That should give you some motivation to get to what you want to write up. For instance, in my 2009 game, I REALLY wanted to read people's reactions to Bray Wyatt's debut, so when I had shows I didn't want to write up, knowing that i was going to get there motivated me to keep going.

I like to decide a few goals for a few workers improv everything else.

<p>Yeah, that was my approach to 10 Simple Rules - I wanted to book a Rip/Jay feud, I wanted to explore Rip's character and relationship with my UC, and I wanted to sign and push Frankie Perez as he'd starred for me in MAW in my 2007 game. That was pretty much the sum of my goals for the game; All the rest was busking it as I went along. Even Kirk Jameson's success in that was pretty much wholly off the back of 2 or 3 good matches seemingly out of nowhere.</p><p> </p><p>

Check me, referencing a 5 year old diary most folks have probably never read <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>WWE 2015: Keys to the Kingdom</p><p> </p><p>

My idea is a RW WWE Jan 2015 Mod. In my game world, Jason Raze, that's me, goes into the office of Vince McMahon to sign his developmental Contract and Vince decides to hand over ownership of the WWE to him. You see Vince doesn't like all the success NXT has been getting so he sells WWE to this "kid" as his way of getting back at his ungrateful son-in-law. Yeah i know it's a little far fetched but thats like the only way i can see Vince ever really "letting go".</p><p> </p><p>

But if that idea doesn't sound good I'll just run the mod like a normal WWE game and just debut my user character as a Opener and just see where he goes from there...</p>

After much soul searching, and truly being honest with myself, I came to a decision to bring a close to SWF: The Dark Age. I had great intentions, and had some new stories to tell, but I found that I was already starting to fall into ‘the same traps’ as I had with LEGENDS. You can only book these guys so often before it turns a little redundant. Plus, I only gave myself about 6 months between projects and that just didn’t work out well in my favor.

Does that mean I’m done? Nope.

I’ll be honest, I’m a little afraid of the amount of time that I will be able to put toward a project but I also know that I will be a better teacher of writing if I am personally writing as well. I landed my first teaching job for the fall and you can probably understand that I’ll be insanely busy with that. Plus, my Son (my first child) will be born any day now; so, I don’t expect to have much energy or time in the short-term. That said, now that I’ve transitioned to working on Google docs (and can access this anywhere), I feel as though I can write a dynasty when I have the free time to do so (which, I hope I will have some…).

Instead of jumping into another rendition of the same companies that I’ve booked before, I’ve decided to go full-force into the LAX Wrestling project that I originally intended last summer.

This version will be different though. In which to add something new, I’m going to reach out to the GDS community here to help create the roster. What I mean by this is, you’ll have a chance to create a new wrestler/character to compete in LAX (for which I will have a question/answer set-up for people to fill out later in which to create said characters/wrestlers -- that will come later). This really intrigues me as it A) gives me a new set of characters/wrestlers to book and B) allows you (the reader) to have a huge impact on the development of the company. I can’t tell you that your wrestler/character will dominate LAX; or else there wouldn’t be any variety. That said, I can tell you that I plan to keep the ‘outsiders’ (other wrestlers) out of the company for awhile & will hold a soft-spot for the ‘originals’ that are created.

I want to tell the story of a new coastal war. The East Coast War has long gone by. Now, it’s time for a new regional war to spark! In this case, it would be CZCW, Grimm, Invincible and LAX. Of course, CZCW will dominate BUT it’s something that I’m looking forward to. If you’re tired with the biggest company in the world, why not go all the way down to the local level (something I’ve NEVER done before). Then, adding in GDS community created wrestlers and I have a whole new slew of characters to work with as well (yet, still existing in the Cornellverse that I love).

I’m looking for community-created wrestlers for LAX’ initial roster in which to further the regional war. If I took CZCW, Grimm and Invincible wrestlers to my roster then where would the war be? They’d all exist in the same companies. In this case, we can all have our own set of competitors/characters to work with. This COULD create some cool ‘dream matches’ for the indy wrestling fans down the road.

More or less, I’ve never booked a wrestling company from the bottom-up (Starting at local; on the cusp of Small). This intrigues me a lot.

The process of creating LAX, its roster, etc., will probably span throughout the summer. I’m not going to rush too bad. That’s why, at this point, I’m thinking the whole month of June will probably be a planning period for me. Right now, I plan to finalize the roster as of June 22nd; however, that could change based upon how busy/overwhelmed I am with fatherhood/setting up for a new teaching career.

I will release the “create your wrestler” template in the next few days. Also, I plan to create a hype thread in which to have a place where we can all talk (versus just taking over this thread).

I hope this sounds interesting to you & that I can possibly count on a number of you submitting a character/wrestler in the near future. Depending on the amount of people who submit, I may have to cut it down to only 20 wrestlers (my target) but I'd rather have more to work down with than build up from.

Join me as we dip into the... War for SoCal!

<p>I've wanted to do a diary for a really long time. I had one short-lived attempt for a little while. I've posted about both my TCW game (2005-2007 and still going) and my WCW game (started May 2001, now in Feb. 2002). Would people be interested in reading AAR-style writeups of what happened?</p><p> </p><p> In other words, could a diary in the style of Bigpapa's WCW: Rebuilding the Empire, except a lot less epic and with less pre-installed background, manage to work for the 2005 Cornellverse? Would it be something people might want to read? Especially since I've posted about the game on here before.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: Also, this </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Eisen-verse" data-cite="Eisen-verse" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="34866" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Snip</div></blockquote> looks awesome.

<p>Quick question for the experienced diary writers and those who have advice, what are some helpful tips to make the process less long-winded technically?</p><p> </p><p>

I don't mean from a creative stand point but rather from a practicality point of view.</p><p> </p><p>

Things I have heard so far:</p><p>

Are there any others people can thin of or already do? Bolding. Italics. Centering. The simple stuff. For the most part however, I got used to formatting being a separate process. I'd have scripts written weeks in advanced, so 20 minutes before I was scheduled to post, I'd pull up the latest script, put on an episode of some TV show I didn't have to pay much attention to, and just format. Type in the [stuff]. Find the pics in Photobucket (helps to organise those folders, I eventually learned). Just zone out and get it done. </em></strong></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Oregano Jensen" data-cite="Oregano Jensen" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="34866" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong><em>After multiple abortive starts, I've finally found something I'm writing. 2014 CGC is around 2 months in and running like a dream. It takes me anywhere from 2 to 3 hours to post just due to the editing of the text and pics(which I thought was needed to break up the "wall of text"syndrome)even with stuff typed up it never dawned on me to eliminate some of the more laborious tasks .
