You probably already know this, but if any of the gimmicks bomb you can change their gimmick to none immediately. I had a guy get a 0 rating for his default ice man gimmick, and immediately changing it to none got it up to 71 despite it being "far too soon for a gimmick change," so it looks like there isn't even a penalty for doing so.

So actually, just like it says in the Product, when people don't like gimmicks, just set them to None to save you from the trouble. Big thanks! I'll update it now. Okamato.. Moto.. Okamoto (I'm going crazy over these names. They are so similar. I constantly make a typo 'sawa' when I mean 'zawa', same goes with the A's and O's) should be great.

FINAL RATING: C-

You used Yoriie Ippitsusai (dear god I already hate typing his name) far too much.

I know these feelings well. This is one of the major reasons I don't play Japan. I think I could get into the booking style given the right inclination to practice. Tried BGC as my first trial game under the demo and got all of one show booked before I remembered how much I hate dealing with Japanese names. It seems like their are too many "Yoriie Ippitsusais" whose names appear to have been fished out of a bowl of alphabet soup by a young child told not to be wasteful and not enough Takus and Sens. In 2010, I had a soft spot for Tatsukichi Shichirobei because of the Mongol getup. But when I'd actually hire him, I knocked his ring name down to Tatsu Khan so I could actually digest it. I'd be willing to pretend not to in order to play BGC but truth be told I think I sympathize with the Modern Japan movement. Easier to justify condensing a guy's name under their products.

Lol yeh you did, keep it up I love your diaries like this.

I think I'll write one or two shows more tonight and/or tomorrow. I'll probably switch to just doing results with some sort of overview per worker. ie. "in this month Hall got these + in each match, - in these all the time). Also I'll do worker specific match rating analysis, skills upgrade analysis etc.. And of course keeping an eye on the show grade and the perfect show theory.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/BCG/Shingen%20Miyazaki.jpg

Name: Shingen Miyazaki

Age: 31

Style: Regular Wrestler

Size: Middleweight

Push: Main Eventer

Popularity: D-

Skills: + ++ -- ++ ++ --

"Shingen Miyazaki is a solid Japanese wrestler. Miyazaki moved to Canada early in his career to learn his craft from the Stone family in NOTBPW, and after three years in that environment, learning from fantastic workers like Dan Stone Jr, Jeremy Stone, and Sean McFly, he had turned into a good versatile wrestler. He returned to his homeland to compete for Golden Canvas Grappling in 2005. It is said that the GCG management see him as future world champion material, although in recent years he has stalled in the midcard of the promotion and his future is not quite as bright as it once was."

Good ol' Miyazaki. Stole him from GCG. Not much to say about him, I signed him because of the gap between our Main Eventers and the Young Lions. We wanted someone in between of those two opposites. He should do awesome.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/BCG/Kuemon%20Hotta.jpg

Name: Kuemon Hotta

Age: 32

Style: Regular

Size: Middleweight

Push: Midcarder

Popularity: E

Skills: + + - ++ ++ =

"Kuemon Hotta is a Japanese wrestler who was orginally trained by World Level Wrestling, but who was released by the company just a few months after his pro debut in 2003 after failing to impress. After drifting around the independent scene for several years as yet another generic high flyer in a land full of them, Hotta took six months off in 2011 to rethink his career. When he returned, it was with a noticeably bigger frame and a new more muscular physique, clearly the product of some hard work at the gym. The new more well-rounded Hotta is a much better worker and his future looks far brighter."

He's nearly not as good as Miyazaki but he'll surely be a valuable asset in the roster and a lot of guys will learn from him. Every roster needs these hard working guys in the mix, it can't always be just about awesome skills and SQ.

Yokokawa & Sen © vs. Fukazawa & Okamoto vs. Team Taku

BCG World Tag Team

The reigning Tag champs have been defending their titles six times - This time they will face not one, but two hungry tag teams: The new team of Fukazawa and Okamoto, the veteran and the young lion and Team Taku, father and son, seeking their first Tag title victory. It's been over a decade since Toshinobu Taku has been a champion (GCG Tag champs in 2002 with Toshiki Shibanumo). Who will emerge victorious in this three-way tag match?

Dynamite Narahashi © vs. Kuemon Hotta

BCG Challengers Series

Narahashi faces his toughest challenge yet as he defends his Challengers Series title against the new signing, veteran Kuemon Hotta. Does the champion have something in his sleeve or will it be the veteran who'll use his experience to gain the advantage in the second title match of the night?

Breakout vs. Naonobu Murkami & Rokuemon Matsushita

Is it time for Breakout? Murkami is a seasoned veteran but will it all boil down to Matsushita's inexperience? Who will be the weakest link in this tag match?

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/BCG/Sized/Sotomura.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/BCG/Sized/Torii.jpg

Roku Sotomura vs. Bunrakuken Torii

Just few nights earlier Sotomura and Torii faced each other in a tag match. While their tag partners are in the main event of the night, these two will take this opportunity seriously. Torii seems to have everything to gain and nothing to lose which makes him a dangerous opponent for Sotomura. This showdown will be one of the most even battles of the night for sure. The right time, the right place, the right chance for both of them to reassign the pecking order in BCG.

Well, I give this one a shot but I don´t know much about Japan so my guesses are likely way off, especially since I have hard time remember Japanese names and thus have to look back to your roster review just to see who on earth the guy in question is. As for booking notes I pretty much always just script match and pick winner, I rarely use other notes.

Match #0: BCG World Tag Team - Yokokawa & Sen © vs. Fukazawa & Okamoto vs. Team Taku

You said you want to break Yokokawa & Sen so maybe it happens here. Team Taku haven´t got enough victories for me to go with them so Fukazawa & Okamoto will be my pick.

Match #1: Masayuki Shiga & Yoriie Ippitsusai vs. Miura & Yoshizawa vs. Yoshisada Matsuzawa & Mashashi Urogataya vs Sharaku Okimasa & Kadonomaro Kamisaka

You said on your roster review that Shiga will be teaming with young lion so unless something have changed since then I doubt Ippitsusai is that youngster :p. Still I guess they will be winning since Shiga is main eventer while most of the other guys seem to be mostly openers, or in case of Miura & Yoshizawa guys you don´t care about.

Match #2: BCG Challengers Series - Dynamite Narahashi © vs. Kuemon Hotta

You didn´t seem to be particularly high on Narahashi so I wouldn´t be surprised if he loses but personally I think that Hotta is simply “too new” to win a title.

Match #3: Breakout vs. Naonobu Murkami & Rokuemon Matsushita

Usually I would go real team over random pairing but there seem to be quite big overness cap on Murkami´s favor so I go with him. Plus there is that young lion question again.

Match #4: Roku Sotomura vs. Bunrakuken Torii

Not sure if Torii is still young lion but I play safe and go with older guy.

Match #5: BCG World - Pistol Pete Hall vs. Shingen Miyazaki vs. Funakoshi

I see this one being between Hall and Funakoshi as for me Miyazaki is too new for BCG to win the main title. From Hall and Funakoshi either one could win but when I doubt I go with champ.

Match #0: BCG World Tag Team - Yokokawa & Sen © vs. Fukazawa & Okamoto vs. Team Taku

I would go for them with them having excellent tag chemistry, and although they are a new team they are better than the current tag champs plus with all your chemistry team bonuses you keep popping up it makes for some interesting fueds.

Match #1: Masayuki Shiga & Yoriie Ippitsusai vs. Miura & Yoshizawa vs. Yoshisada Matsuzawa & Mashashi Urogataya vs Sharaku Okimasa & Kadonomaro Kamisaka

Simply because Shiga is the top guy, hunting for more tag chemistry I wonder :)

Match #2: BCG Challengers Series - Dynamite Narahashi © vs. Kuemon Hotta

I would say Hotta is to new to put the title on as of yet, maybe if you have him in mind as a future player give him a open match to keep him strong.

Match #3: Breakout vs. Naonobu Murkami & Rokuemon Matsushita

A draw maybe (time limit) you have a good new team with chemistry, an old hand with popularity with a rising young star who haven't got proven chemistry (yet) so that is why I think you may go draw with keeping Murkami strong, plus I don't think your as bothered about keeping Murkami strong he isn't main event quality.

Match #4: Roku Sotomura vs. Bunrakuken Torii

Give Sotomura the win for being higher on the card but have it open as Torii has potential.

Match #5: BCG World - Pistol Pete Hall vs. Shingen Miyazaki vs. Funakoshi

Pete for the win, Funakoshi's time will come though. Muazaki is a strong hand but maybe to new right now. Slow build long match.

Match #0: BCG World Tag Team - Yokokawa & Sen © vs. Fukazawa & Okamoto vs. Team Taku

Both challenging teams have a young lion on them and as tempting as it is to have Fukazawa & Okamoto win becasue of the great tag chemosty I think you'll hold off one more tour.

Open, Decisive, Scripted

Match #1: Masayuki Shiga & Yoriie Ippitsusai vs. Miura & Yoshizawa vs. Yoshisada Matsuzawa & Mashashi Urogataya vs Sharaku Okimasa & Kadonomaro Kamisaka

The only non-opener team other then the veterans (who I know you are just wating to depush well Shiga at least who's a main eventer) and although they are both Young Lions there are at least three other Young Lions in the match they can pin.

Open, Decisive, Scripted

Match #2: BCG Challengers Series - Dynamite Narahashi © vs. Kuemon Hotta

Narashi may very well still be a young lion plus even if he's not since Hotta isn't he can hold the title and face off agasint a bunch of young lions beating them while training them and then taking an occssional losss to your big guys.

Open, Decisive, Scripted, Slow Build

Match #3: Breakout vs. Naonobu Murkami & Rokuemon Matsushita

Breakout has more of an upside here and because Rokuemon is also a Young Lion he can eat the tag without the fans going nuts over the match up.

Open, Decisive, Scripted

Match #4: Roku Sotomura vs. Bunrakuken Torii

Torii is the young lion here and putting him over Sotomura would tank the match grade something awful. That said he looks to be a future star while Sotomura is gonna be a solid mid or upper midcard staple, so I wouldn't have Roku dominate.

Open, Decisive. Slow Build

Personally I always use scripted when I don't use call in ring but you may be able to leave out either note here.

Match #5: BCG World - Pistol Pete Hall vs. Shingen Miyazaki vs. Funakoshi

With no time decline on Hall I would use him for all he's worth before he starts to find out his mind has been the only thing that's actually keeping his body from falling apart.

Open, Decisive, In Ring, Slow Build
