Ring of Honor. Nothing Fancy, Just Wrestling

Recommended Posts

Greetings folks, my name's Jake and I've never been much of one for real life dynasties, but I was willing to give this one a shot. Now there'll be no elaborate backstory, since I'll be using RoH's past, which you can look up on their site, and the match write-ups will be in a basic win/loss formula. However, I hope to have good storylines which will entice you all into becoming regular readers. Thanks for your time, I hope you like it.

Newswire Coming Up: October 1, 2005 - Philly's National Guard Armory Following his win in this year’s Survival of the Fittest contest, Roderick Strong has decided that he’ll cash in his title shot against Danielson this weekend on the first day of our double-header! The Embassy is making news again, saying that their bodyguard, Abyss, is stuck in Ghana and signs are pointing to the fact that he might not be able to make this weekend’s show. So instead Shelley and Rave will take on Colt Cabana and Ace Steel, in a match with lingering tie-ins from the Embassy/Saints feud from earlier this year. Our opener for Saturday night’s show will be the Ring Crew Express, who are up to their usual tricks of rocking out and making teenaged groupies scream their names. This time they’re taking on “The Aces of the Class”, Davey Andrews and Anthony Franco. Saturday will also feature a multi-man match featuring half of the ROH Tag team champions, Sal Rinauro, along with Puma, Jerrelle Clark, and Matt Sydal! Sal said to make things more interesting, if he didn’t win this match, whoever did would get a shot at the tag titles the next night, with the tag partner of their choice. Milano Collection AT is making the trek to America again, this time he’ll be lighting up the ROH ring against a debuting star we’ll like to keep silent until his debut. This is promised to be a good match and Milano is said to be training in every style he knows to prepare for anybody. Two of the marquee stars of Ring of Honor will go head to head to see whose worthy of being the public figurehead of the company. What makes this match more interesting will be the fact that both athletes are very close friends outside the ring, and have worked in the same promotions on both sides of the Pacific. Be sure to come and see Samoa Joe versus Steve Corino!!! Nigel McGuinness, having decided that as champion, he’ll decide who he defends the belt against, has announced this weekend he’ll defend his title each night. The first night he shall defend against the returning Matt Stryker! He also mentioned that he’ll be hosting a four man invitational with the winner facing him the next night. The only one announced for the four man match as of now is Homicide. He mentioned that he’ll try making this match shine even brighter by including someone who’s made of gold, and try to raise people out of their seats by adding someone who’s raised the standard of high flying in this industry. The last person will however even be a surprise to Nigel, as he sent out an open contract to anyone in North America. The Card looks like this: Dunn & Marcos vs. Anthony Franco & Davey Andrews Tag Team Champion Sal Rinauro vs. Puma vs. Matt Sydal vs. Jerrelle Clark *Tag Title Shot to the Winner Milano Collection AT vs. ??? Alex Shelley & Jimmy Rave vs. Colt Cabana & Ace Steel Nigel McGuinness vs. Matt Stryker *ROH Pure Wrestling Championship Homicide vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? *Pure Title Shot to the Winner Steve Corino vs. Samoa Joe Roderick Strong vs. Bryan Danielson *ROH World Championship

Ring of Honor “Legendary” Philadelphia National Guard Armory October 1, 2005 1. Dunn(O)/Marcos (8:23 All Dunn) Anthony Franco/Davey Andrews(X) D 2. Jerrelle Clark (11:54 Jerrelle Driver) Sal Rinauro/ Puma /Matt Sydal(X) C- 3. Milano Collection AT (12:34 AT Lock) Harry Smith C 4. Bryan Danielson (43:16 Cattle Mutilation) Roderick Strong B- Overall Rating : B- Notes: Previous to their match, Marcos grabbed the mic and asked which of them was Screech and which of them was Horshack? He then cut them off by saying “It does matter because you’re about to be Rocked… like a Hurricane.” After Stryker ran out of rope breaks, Nigel continued his cheating ways by picking up the pinfall with his feet on the ropes. The return of Petey Williams surprised everyone, including Nigel, who looked absolutely terrified as he watched the match from ringside. The finish came when Nigel went to level Petey with a pair of Brass Knuckles, but he ducked and nailed Mamaluke instead, knocking him woozy. Petey then hit the Canadian Destroyer on Tony and got the win, which made Nigel furious, and made Petey laugh and motion for the title being around his waist. Joe came down to the ring with Jay Lethal, to which Steve was against, as he didn’t have either of his students with him, and he didn’t trust Lethal. Jay then promised he wouldn’t touch Steve and Corino was alright with it. Midway through the match Joe had Corino set up for the Ole Kick and Jay was standing next to Corino hyping up the move. But as Joe charged, Corino rolled out of the chair as Lethal dropped Joe with a drop toe hold. Corino went on to get the win with the Old School Expulsion, and after giving Lethal a hug, he looked into the camera, pointed at Jay, and told Joe that you can’t trust this kid! Danielson and Strong had a fantastic showing and while GenNext were ringside, neither Aries nor Evans interfered. At the 40 minute mark Strong looked like he was starting to slow down and Aries rose to his feet. He climbed onto the apron and when Danielson whipped Roderick to Aries, Aries pulled the top rope down, which sent Roderick crashing to the outside. Jack looked at Austin in complete disbelief as he pounded on Roderick before throwing him back in the ring for Danielson, in obvious protest, to finish the match.

Well it was Nigel's Invitational. He was playing the heel champion by trying to control who he'd face by trying to eliminate the person he thought as a "threat". He watched the match ringside and yes, he interefered. I kinda thought that was implied but I guess not, I'll fix it, Thanks for the comments and help. It's greatly appreciated

Newswire Coming Up: October 2, 2005 – The New Alhambra Jerrelle Clark won last night’s four man match for a tag title shot, shocking everyone including Sal Rinauro. What’s even more shocking than that is who he’s announced as his tag team partner for tonight’s event. He’s teaming up with no one else but Azrieal! This is interesting as both Sal and Azrieal are former members of Special K, who’ve since then went straight and cleaned up their career. It’ll be interesting to see how much these two have advanced since then. Petey Williams shocked the world when he picked up Nigel’s open contract and wound up winning, much to Nigel’s dismay. We got a few words with Petey after last night’s show before he left, and he said that he’s enlisted the help of a few fellow countrymen incase Nigel decided to play his tricks again. He didn’t leave and hints as to who they were though. Joe was said to have been furious at both Corino and Lethal for their actions last night, and he will be out tonight with revenge on his mind. Lethal and Corino have already been signed in separate matches against Milano Collection AT and the Returning DOUG WILLIAMS respectively, but expect to see some type of confrontation between the three. Low Ki will be in action against the debuting Jimmy Yang! Yang is said to have been tired of working for middle of the road unspectacular Sports Entertainment promotions, and is going to come out giving people something to be impressed about. Low Ki is hoping to take out this established star in hopes of climbing back up the ranks to take on Bryan Danielson in hopes of winning his second ROH Championship. Danielson and Ki have teamed up numerous times and have faced off against each other three times in the past, with Ki beating Danielson on the very first ROH show ever and Danielson beating him at the next show as part of the Round Robin Challenge. Their 3rd confrontation was at Final Battle 2004 and went to a draw. But before going for the deciding match, Ki needs to take on Yang who is promising to be a challenge. Speaking of Danielson, he’s going to be defending his strap tonight in a match that promises to be a Match of the Year Candidate. He’ll be taking on someone who’s had a cup of tea in the big leagues, holding gold in the WWE; Someone who’s making their name in the orient, hoping to become one of the bigger gaijins in New Japan; Someone who’s already returned to his roots in the good ol’ area of New Jersey. Making his Ring of Honor Debut tonight will be none other than Charlie Haas. Austin Aries is quite the man to make noise with his actions towards fellow stars, and last night was no different. When asked for a explanation for what happened, Aries said that this was the second year in a row he was the second runner for the Survival of the Fittest, and he couldn’t just sit there and watch someone who had such an amazing opportunity just throw it away like Roderick was doing, so he finished the suffering and at that moment decided that Strong was no longer worthy of his spot, and effective now, Strong is no longer in Generation Next. Jack Evans however was not around to be asked here he stands on the situation. In the interest of putting on a good match, we’ve signed the contract for Strong and Aries to go head to head tonight in a No DQ match. After being cost the chance to earn the most valued prize in the industry, you can only imagine what Roderick wants to, and will try to do Aries in this match. Referees will only be on hand to count a pinfall or submission. And finally, to decide on who’ll be part of the next World Championship Match, we’ll have a three-way match featuring such stars as AJ Styles, Rocky Romero, and Alex Shelley! This should be an interesting match with some of the headlining talent in ROH who are all hungry for gold. Who’ll take on the champion? Who will the champion even be?!? Find out by coming to The New Alhambra tonight in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for another classic Ring of Honor event! So, to recap, tonight’s card looks like: Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro© vs. Jerrelle Clark & Azrieal *ROH Tag Team Championships Jay Lethal vs. Milano Collection AT Nigel McGuinness© vs. Petey Williams *ROH Pure Wrestling Championship Steve Corino vs. Doug Williams Alex Shelley vs. AJ Styles vs. Rocky Romero *Winner gets World Title Shot Austin Aries vs. Roderick Strong *No DQ Match Low Ki vs. Jimmy Yang Bryan Danielson© vs. Charlie Haas *ROH World Championship

ROH “Those Who Bleed” The New Alhambra October 2, 2005 1. Sal Rinauro(O)/Tony Mamaluke (12:48 Phoenix Fury Leg Drop) Jerrelle Clark/Azrieal(X) C+ 2. Jay Lethal (12:42 Dragon Suplex) Milano Collection AT C 3. Petey Williams (18:24 Sharpshooter) Nigel McGuinness C 4. Austin Aries (22:38 Knockout) Roderick Strong B- 5. Doug Williams (22:48 Revolution) Steve Corino B 6. AJ Styles (13:32 Styles Clash) Alex Shelley/Rocky Romero(X) B 7. Low Ki (27:55 Ki Krusher ‘99) Jimmy Yang B 8. Bryan Danielson (32:43 Cattle Mutilation) Charlie Haas B+ Overall Rating: B Notes: Immediately after Lethal got the Three Count on Milano, Joe hit the ring and unloaded on him, leaving him limp with a Top Rope Muscle Buster, which had the majority of the crowd cringing in pain. Petey Williams did pick up the submission win, but not before help from his “Fellow Countrymen” Kevin Steen and Harry Smith. After Nigel tapped, the three stood together in victory in the middle of the ring, Petey holding his belt high above his head. Doug Williams picked up the clean victory, with Joe showing that his feud was with Lethal. Corino however played up the paranoid heel, every time the crowd started cheering he’d look around for the big Samoan. Austin Aries was extremely lucky to pick up the victory in this match. He was getting bloodied and assaulted and was close to passing out due to the thickness of his crimson mask, but everything changed when Evans came out. He finally let the crowd know what side he was on in a convincing fashion, leveling Roderick with a chairshot to the head, and then a 720 off Aries, who was standing on the top rope. This got a Holy Sh*t chant from the crowd, who were too impressed to boo. Aries took him up and inflicted more damage to his head with a Brainbuster onto the already dented chair. That was all Roderick could take, and the ref stopped the match, with both warriors bleeding buckets and close to dead.

Newswire Coming Up: October 21, 2005 – Amazura Concert Hall We have an amazing announcement to make! For one night only, we’re feature the return of the immortal one, Jushin Thunder Liger!!! We hoped to make this a double shoot, but after already booking one earlier this month, and Liger’s commitments with TNA and NJPW this weekend, we’re fortunate that he’d made room in his schedule to come out to the east coast for our show. If you think that’s good, wait till you hear who his opponent is. It’ll be none other than AJ STYLES! AJ has shown interest in stepping up his ROH workload, and after all his dedication to the federation in the past, we’re more than happy to let him take on Liger. This should be one for the record books folks! World Champion Bryan Danielson, the man who faced Liger last time, will be taking on another worker who was in contention for taking on Liger this time, Jimmy Yang! Even though Yang lost last week, he showed us he was worthy of being thought of when it came to the ROH World Title. So this Friday, we’ll have Bryan Danielson versus Jimmy Yang for the ROH World Championship! Nigel was quick to make challenges after losing his belt at Those Who Bleed, claiming that if he was beat by a bunch of punks from north of the border, they’ll have to take on a team of wrestling fiends from across the pond, himself and Claudio Castagnoli! Pure Wrestling Champion Petey Williams, when hearing this, announced that he’s interested in this match, and will be honorable by staying backstage, mainly because his boys should have it covered. Petey Williams isn’t going to be sitting backstage all night though. He’ll be making a very odd defense of the pure title against the Lizard man, Delirious! When asked about this shot, Delirious said… hahahaha you think we’d actually bother interviewing Delirious? Good one. The Embassy announced that they have secured the rights to allow their Crown Jewels, Shelley and Rave, a tag title shot at the show on the 21st, and they promised they’d bring gold back to Ghana. When told of their upcoming challenge, and the promise, Tony was quoted as saying “And what next, Nana lost weight?” to which Sal retorted “Well, you know if he did, and there’s a sudden influx of Crown Jewel brand bar soap, it could explain where they got the money to buy the title shots.” Ah, you got to love Fight Club references. Shelley and Rave aren’t the only Embassy members in action tonight though, as the big man Abyss will be taking on Samoa Joe, in what’s sure to be a viscous match. Lethal is said to be quite interested in this match, and has expressed a notion of watching this match as close as he can, from the best seat in the house, ringside! Charlie Haas will try again for his first victory in Ring of Honor in yet another match that will probably be an instant classic. Friday we’re going to see Charlie Haas taking on the Metal Master himself, Chad Collyer! Jerrelle Clark, who was quite upset after losing the Tag Title match and not even taking the fall, will get a chance to redeem himself against his partner from that match, as he goes one on one with Azrieal! And finally, after he let his side be known by attacking Roderick during his match with Aries, Jack Evans has said to have been walking on eggshells, and gets extremely defensive whenever the word Strong is even said. As they say, Jack is “wiggin’ out” The card: Jerrelle Clark vs. Azrieal Petey Williams vs. Delirious *ROH Pure Wrestling Championship Samoa Joe vs. Abyss Nigel McGuinness & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Harry Smith & Kevin Steen Jack Evans vs. Roderick Strong Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro© vs. Alex Shelley & Jimmy Rave *ROH Tag Team Championship Charlie Haas vs. Chad Collyer Bryan Danielson© vs. Jimmy Yang *ROH World Championship Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs. AJ Styles *International Dream Match

Newswire Coming Up: November 5 – Mennan Sports Arena We’d like to thank New Japan for allowing Liger to come out for our last show, and all our fans that attended. The match was said to been a near instant Match of the Year contender. Styles when asked about the match afterwards said that that outranked everything he’s ever done in his career, and felt extremely honored that he was chosen to face Jushin. Styles also said that after competing in such an incredible match, his career feels complete, and he’s vacated the rights to face Danielson for the ROH World Championship. Management has accepted this and awarded the title shot to a returning star that has hopes of making a big splash in ROH. Bryan Danielson will take on no one but Jerry Lynn! Lynn hasn’t been in ROH since March 2004 when he beat Nigel McGuinness on At Our Best, so it’ll be interested to see how much he’s progressed since then. Charlie Haas returns this weekend in hopes of picking up first win in ROH. His third match, which he hopes will be his lucky one, will be against Chris Sabin! Will Haas be able to wear Sabin down, or will Chris’ speed be too much for him? BJ Whitmer has a chance to solidify himself as a serious tag team champion this Saturday, as he’s taking on Sal and Tony with Jimmy Jacobs in hope of them starting their 3rd title reign, it would be Whitmer’s 5th, a record in ROH not close to being touched. Joe, despite all his pleas, will not get a chance to get his hands on Lethal yet. However, he will be in action against someone who he has quite a rivalry with. That man is Austin Aries, the one who ended Joe’s amazing title reign. Lethal and Strong have both been banned from ringside for the match and security will surround the ring to make sure that rule is enforced. The Carnage Crew, in hopes of returning to tag team dominance, have sent word to the ROH offices that they want to take on The Embassy’s big man, Abyss. They said though, to make things fair, they’d let him choose any partner he wanted. When asking him about who he’ll choose, we think we were able to translate his beast-ish gruffs and yells into “It’s no one in The Embassy.” But then again, we don’t speak Masked Fiend, so who knows. We’ll also be featuring a fun four man match with more on the line than what originally appears. With Ring of Honor’s ever expanding roster, four young men will be fighting each other in a match that could make or break their career in Ring of Honor. The four workers in question happen to be Delirious, Izzy, Matt Sydal, and Puma. The winner of this match’s spot is solidified, barring a solid match. However, what happens to the others will depend on what they do in the upcoming weeks. And finally, one last announcement, The Embassy has signed a contract with a independent worker who will be making his return to Ring of Honor that Nana promises will “Rock this company to its core, and bring The Embassy into the spotlight.” Nana also said that the work only signed the contracted if he could face off against Colt Cabana, something that bewilders everyone, including the classic one. Who will it be? Come out to Morristown for the first night of an amazing Double Shot weekend! Card: Izzy vs. Puma vs. Delirious vs. Matt Sydal Abyss & ??? vs. The Carnage Crew Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro© vs. BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs *ROH Tag Team Championship Colt Cabana vs. ??? Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe Chris Sabin vs. Charlie Haas Bryan Danielson vs. Jerry Lynn *ROH World Championship

ROH “All Star Extravaganza III: Night I” Mennan Sports Arena Friday, November 5, 2005 1. Delirious (11:42 Shadows over Hell) Izzy(X)/Puma/Matt Sydal C- 2. Abyss/Raven(O) (12:46 Raven Effect) HC Loc(X)/Tony Devito C+ 3. Sal Rinauro(O)/Tony Mamaluke (18:12 Whattamanuver) BJ Whitmer/Jimmy Jacobs(X) C+ 4. CM Punk (12:56 Anaconda Vice) Colt Cabana C+ 5. Austin Aries (23:05 Double DQ) Samoa Joe B- 6. Charlie Haas (27:32 Haas of Pain) Chris Sabin C+ 7. Bryan Danielson (60:00 TLD) Jerry Lynn B+ Overall Rating: B Notes: Abyss stood outside the ring while The Carnage Crew were prepared for a fight. When “Come As You Are” by Nirvana hit and Raven slowly made his way out, decked in his old ECW attire of A sleeveless black shirt, cut off jean shorts, and a flannel shirt tied around his waist, Loc and Devito looked shocked and a little scared, but then they merely charged at them, hitting double springboard cross bodies, with Raven moving and Abyss catching and tossing HC Loc. This match was all Raven, who got the win after a Raven Effect on HC Loc. Colt made his way to the ring with his typical theatrics when Copa Cobana was cut off by The Embassy’s very royal sounding music. Nana, Rave, Shelley, and Abyss all walked out in a row, and then they parted, to reveal, in traditional Embassy robes… CM Punk. The crowd was in disbelief, and after he walked out, he turned around and called out his girlfriend, Maria Kanellis. He had the typical CM smirk on his face and when he got into the ring he got on the turnbuckles and threw up the X, but afterwards flipped off the crowd. Punk won in commanding fashion, pretty much dominating Colt, and finally made him pass out to the Anaconda Vice. Aries/Joe had all the makings of another fantastic match, before they came. “They”, being Jack Evans, who attacked Joe, Roderick Strong, who attacked Austin and Jack, and Jay Lethal, who took part in the beating of the big Samoan. The ref couldn’t make sense of the giant 5 man brawl and finally just ended the match with a double DQ. Charlie finally picked up his first win, and cheated like a fiend to get it. Sabin almost had the Future Shock 3 times, but Charlie, scared for his life, quickly snuck out, and on the third time he hit a low blow, Exploder Suplex, and finished Sabin with a Haas of Pain. At around the 45 minute mark, with no worker showing signs of stopping and still throwing up amazing moves, the entire crowd was on their feet. Lynn had slipped out of a Dragon Suplex behind Danielson, and had him out with a Cradle Piledriver at 59:25, but he just couldn’t manage to gather the energy and both men just laid there till the time limit hit. Danielson bowed and shook Lynn’s hand in a sign of respect and Jerry just chuckled and said I’m getting to old for this kinda stuff.

Newswire Coming Up: November 6 – Mennan Sports Arena Last night was one of the biggest nights in Ring of Honor history, with such major appearances and Raven, Jerry Lynn, Charlie Haas and CM PUNK!!! Danielson and Lynn’s 60 minute draw was an amazing match and could be a match of the year contender! In a casual survey of a handful of fans leaving the arena, they said that the main event was one of the best matches they’d ever viewed. Nana was right when he said The Embassy’s latest signing was going to rock ROH to its very core. The newest member of The Embassy was no other than former ROH World Champion CM Punk! Punk had a bit of a arrogant streak that really got under the fan’s skin when he was Champion, and apparently being in the “big leagues” has only added to that. The girl who was with him is apparently his girlfriend, Maria Kanellis, 2004 RAW Diva Search loser. Why is CM back, and why would he turn on not only his fans but one of his best friends in Colt Cabana, who he destroyed in their match last night. He’s keeping up his apparent new tradition of demands by allowing us an interview session if he gets to go up against his former trainer and partner in the Saints, Ace Steel! The match has been signed so look out for a full transcript on this site later tomorrow! Prince Nana must be rolling the cash, because he said he’s acquired another contract and he’s going to have his latest soldier debut in a six man tag alongside Alex Shelley and Jimmy Rave, against Izzy, Deranged, and Puma. Who will his next shocking acquisition be? You’ll have to be here tonight to find out! Following the chaotic fall out of the Joe versus Aries match from last night, an epic 6 man tag match has been signed! On one side it’s Austin Aries, Jay Lethal, and Jack Evans and on the other side it’ll be Samoa Joe, Roderick Strong, and their third man, to compete with Evans’ high flying, Jimmy Yang! Milano Collection AT will be in action tonight, taking on Steve Corino’s returning student, Ricky Landell in what should be an exciting match-up between two young on the rise workers. Danielson will make yet another title defense against an unexpected challenger. Tonight we’re proud to present Bryan Danielson versus “The Future” Frankie Kazarian!!! Kazarian has made a few appearances in ROH in the past but is hoping to make a major impact tonight and hopefully take the biggest prize in the industry. Petey Williams makes his second Pure title defense tonight against none other than “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. Both workers are some of the top workers in TNA’s X Division, but you’ll get a chance to see them go at it under Pure Rules, something you won’t see anywhere else! Petey Williams’ partners in crime and “fellow countrymen”, Harry Smith and Kevin Steen will get a tag title shot against the champions, Sal Rinauro and Tony Mamaluke! This match feature four young amazing talents, and should be one to watch out for! “Coach Williams” as they refer to him as, will be ringside but has promised to not interfere in this contest. And finally, in a match that’s expected to be insanely brutal, Raven, who returned last night to help Abyss score a victory over the Carnage Crew, will go head to head with the Street Thug, the Cop Killa, The Notorious 187, Homicide! The card looks like this: Ricky Landell vs. Milano Collection AT Alex Shelley, Jimmy Rave, & ??? vs. Izzy, Deranged, and Puma Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro© vs. Kevin Steen & Harry Smith *ROH Tag Team Championship Ace Steel vs. CM Punk Homicide vs. Raven Petey Williams© vs. Christopher Daniels *ROH Pure Wrestling Championship Austin Aries, Jack Evans, & Jay Lethal vs. Samoa Joe, Roderick Strong, & Jimmy Yang Bryan Danielson© vs. Frankie Kazarian *ROH World Championship

ROH “All Star Extravaganza III: Night II” Mennan Sports Arena Saturday, November 6, 2005 1. Milano Collection AT (7:55 AT Lock) Ricky Landell C 2. Alex Shelley/Jimmy Rave/Ricky Reyes(O) (11:32 Brainbuster) Puma/Deranged(X)/Izzy C 3. Tony Mamaluke/Sal Rinauro(O) (12:38 Phoenix Fury Leg Drop) Kevin Steen(X)/Harry Smith C+ 4. CM Punk (22:58 Pepsi Plunge) Ace Steel C+ 5. Raven (12:58 Raven Effect) Homicide B+ 6. Petey Williams (18:11 Canadian Destroyer) Christopher Daniels A 7. Austin Aries(O)/Jack Evans/Jay Lethal (31:40 450 Splash) Samoa Joe/Jimmy Yang(X)/Roderick Strong B- 8. Bryan Danielson (42:49 Cattle Mutilation) Frankie Kazarian A Overall Rating: B Notes: Nana’s shaping up his army to be quite a fighting force, with his most recent additions of Punk and Reyes over the weekend. Reyes took control of this match and destroyed pretty much everyone, getting the pinfall and the support of Nana, who seems to have finally been able to break out of his rut of signing a bunch of duds. Williams versus Daniels was said to have been an amazing match, one of the best ROH has ever put on, despite the interference from Harry Smith at the end that allowed Petey to hit the Canadian Destroyer to get the win. If Reyes’ defection from The Rottweilers wasn’t the biggest news tonight, then that award would have to go to the reformation of the New and Improved Generation Next. Lethal came out sporting the GenNext t-shirt and they all posed together in a very typical rudo-esque moment. When Yang was on the top rope about the finish off Aries with a Yang Time, a figure came running from the back in a black sleeveless Generation Next hoodie, with the hood up, and knocked Yang off. After Aries regained consciousness, he went to the top and hit the 450 for the win. When Lethal, Aries, and Evans went to celebrate, the hooded figure rolled into the ring. He stood and faced the three before quickly removing his hood and raised Aries’ hand in celebration to reveal former World Champion, Xavier!!! The four stood in celebration and the crowd was in shock.

Newsflash This just in! Breaking news from the ROH front offices! We’ve secured a Television contract!!! We wanted to let you know in the next Newswire, but we just couldn’t hold onto such amazing news for so long! Everyone keep an eye out for ROH Warriors of the Ring, our one hour TV show which will be held on Wednesdays and be presented Thursday Nights at Midnight on WBGN-TV in the Tri-state area! We’re guaranteed, with good ratings, two seasons, but if we excel their expectations, we might be able to extend our contract a while longer.

I enjoy your format very well. The introduction of CM Punk and Maria Kanellis was superb. The way you prepare for the card giving previews of each matches is something i'm going to take out of this and attempt to do in my dynasty. They are great reads. The only negative thing i see is numbeirng matches, you should just label if they are main event, title match, gimmick match or etc. But certainly, this is enjoyable. Continue the goodwork fuelfan.

Newswire Coming Up: November 26 – Skate Safe America Just when you thought we had brought in the biggest name we could, we up it another notch! For this Saturday’s show up in Morristown, New Jersey, we’re bringing someone onto the American Indy circuit who’s one of the most famous wrestlers in history. A master of the Mexican Lucha Libre style, as well as the Japanese Junior style, someone who’s held so much gold you could buy a small country with. This Saturday, see the Ring of Honor debut of Ultimo Dragon! As with Liger, there were a handful of workers that wanted to go into the ring with Asai-san, so to appease both workers and fans; it’s going to be a tag team match for our main event, Ultimo Dragon & Jimmy Yang versus Christopher Daniels & Low Ki! Expect to see an amazing collection of stiff strikes being traded between these four. Puma will put his career in ROH on the line as he goes up against a debuting star from Japan we feel can make an impressive run here in Ring of Honor. Puma will face off against KUDO! If Puma loses, he says he obviously isn’t cut out for the company, following 3 losses in a row, this would be his fourth. KUDO has worked for DDT in the past but following the company closing its doors, he was more than happy to make the flight out to the East Coat for our next event. Following two amazing matches at Night two of ASE, we’ve decided to make a tag team match, with Petey Williams and Bryan Danielson, the Pure and World champions, respectively, facing off against the team of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. The interesting about this, if one of the challengers happens to score a pinfall on a champion, they’ll get a shot at the next show! This is not only a promising match, but it should be a great opportunity for whoever wins! Daniels realizes that this will force him to work twice in one night, but he feels that it’ll be the best night of his career if he could not only score a pinfall over a legend such as Ultimo Dragon, but win a shot at the ROH Championship by gaining a pinfall over American Dragon. He joked with Gary Michael Cappetta about changing his nickname from “The Fallen Angel” to “The Dragon Slayer” if things go as he has planned Saturday. In a rematch of the contest that started Samoa Joe on his way to having one of the greatest title reigns in the past decade, Samoa Joe will go head to head against Xavier. Xavier made his ROH return last night as the fourth member of Generation Next, citing that he’s back to take his spot back that he so undeservingly lost. He feels Joe is the reason that he lost his momentum and eventually his spot, so he’s going to go all out on him this weekend! The Rottweilers have decided that enough is enough; they’re tired of sitting in silence watching the fed as Julius Smokes said, “Tear itself apart”. Homicide sent a challenge to the ROH offices proclaiming that he and Rocky Romero are willing to take on any members of the Embassy; it doesn’t even matter if they get their hands on Reyes, they just want to hurt people, and they can’t think of anyone better than Nana’s goons. When the Prince of Ghana heard this, he said that they’ll be the ones to be hurt, but he accepts the challenge, but won’t tell them who their opponents are till match time. One man who Nana won’t have at his choosing however is CM Punk. We sat down with the man and had a solid interview session with him, however, we’re not allowed to post it on this website, or anywhere else yet. The reason being CM himself; he said that his last request that was met allowed them to interview him, but if they want to actually be allowed to distribute it, then he wants to face the man that beat him for the first ever ROH Pure Wrestling Championship, the reason why CM isn’t the first and only Triple Crown winner, AJ Styles. AJ does not have any prior commitments, so the match is on! CM Punk versus AJ Styles, the rematch! Catch it here in Ring of Honor, November 26th! Milano Collection AT is looking to make a name and secure his spot on the ROH roster by challenging former Nigel McGuinness. He feels that Samoa Joe is the pinnacle of talent in Ring of Honor, and maybe even in America, and to challenge him is to get recognition. However, as Joe is busy, he challenged the man who managed to usurp the big Samoan, and take his Pure Championship. Will Milano break out or will Nigel pick up the win he’s desperately been looking for since losing to Petey Williams? The Lizard Man, Delirious, came barging into the ROH offices today yelling and being quite… well… lizard-y; we tried to calm him down in hopes that he’d leave by offering everything from a banana sitting on one of the secretaries’ desk, but he merely starting yelling RINGRINGRINGBANANAPHONE!!! over and over. Finally, we offered him a tag title shot, and he put the banana down, and calmly made his way out of the building without another word. We took the liberty of arranging a partner for him, so for the ROH Tag team titles; it’ll Delirious and Matt Sydal versus our Tag Team Champions of Sal Rinauro and Tony Mamaluke! The final card is: KUDO vs. Puma Sal Rinauro & Tony Mamaluke© vs. Delirious & Matt Sydal *ROH Tag Team Championships Milano Collection AT vs. Nigel McGuinness Homicide & Rocky Romero vs. The Embassy Samoa Joe vs. Xavier Bryan Danielson & Petey Williams vs. Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian *Title Shot to whoever pins a Champion CM Punk vs. AJ Styles Ultimo Dragon & Jimmy Yang vs. Low Ki & Christopher Daniels *International Dream Tag Team Match

Ultimo Dragon(O)/Jimmy Yang (32:46 Dragon Sleeper) Low Ki(X)/Curry Man B+ Overall Rating: B+ Notes: KUDO looked impressive and Puma was in near tears following the loss. After he shook KUDO’s hand, he unlaced his mask, took a knee and placed it in the middle of the ring, and slowly made his way out of the ring. The Rottweilers looked to be on the top of their game, fighting off three men, including the massive Abyss. However, the match eventually became a four on two with Nana interfering. Homicide was going for a running Lariat on Abyss when Nana tripped him up on his way to the ropes. Julius Smokes attacked Nana on the outside after that, but the damage was already done, as Abyss scooped up the disoriented Homicide and dropped him with a Black Hole Slam for the win. Daniels and Frankie seemed to have fought more between each other than they did their opponents, with cheap shots in the corner, blind tags, and Daniels even went as far as hitting Frankie with a corner splash when Petey moved, though he could’ve stopped. But Petey and Bryan fought as well, over who was the dominant champion, and Petey even claimed that Danielson couldn’t last 10 minutes against him in a pure match. Danielson took Petey out with a Roaring Elbow on the outside following an argument and when he went back in Kazarian took him to the corner and flattened him with a Flux Compactor. Daniels took this opportunity to take out Frankie from behind with the Last Rites before pinning Danielson with the Triple Jump Moonsault. CM came out and won yet another match, showing why he was taken away to the big leagues. AJ actually had the match in the bag, taking CM down with a Styles Clash before mounting the top rope to attempt a Spiral Tap. Maria, who was ringside, jumped onto the apron and knocked AJ off, and CM got up and locked in the Anaconda Vice in the middle of the ring, forcing AJ to tap out. Christopher Daniels came out in his full Curry Man get up for the main event and had numerous amounts of comedy spots, including a mock slow motion “Matrix” showdown with Ultimo Dragon, before Low Ki, being the grumpy spoil sport came out and ended it with a stiff kick to the back of Dragon’s head. This only enraged the legendary Dragon who unloaded on Ki before taking him to the outside and hitting an Asai Moonsault which made the whole crowd pop. Yang took out Curry Man on the outside and Ultimo Dragon and Ki, who were both brawling on the inside, went for simultaneous high kicks, Ki falling but Ultimo merely shaking it off. Dragon then locked in the Dragon Sleeper and the match was over, victory to Yang and Ultimo.
