What is KANZEN Pro? A. "KANZEN" means perfect. KANZEN Pro brings to you a mix of good old school American-style wrestling, the fast, high flying style of Mexican lucha libre with some influence from the hard hitting Japanese style - with a little bit of everything else thrown in for good measure! A "perfect" mix, if you ask us! Q. Where is KANZEN based? A. KANZEN Pro is currently based in the lovely islands of Hawaii! But don't be surprised if we manage to make a trip to mainland USA in the near future! Q. Does KANZEN operate with normal wrestling rules? A. That depends on what you mean by "normal"! KANZEN Pro is heavily influenced by the Mexican style of wrestling, known as lucha libre. As such you may notice some differences between KANZEN Pro and a "regular" wrestling company. For instance, here at KANZEN we are crazy about multi-man tag team matches! 6-man tag matches are known as "trios" matches, 8-man tag matches are known as "atomicos" and regular old 4-man tag matches are known as "parejas". Perhaps one of the first things you will notice about KANZEN Pro is the wide range of colourful and flamboyant masked characters - again this is a lucha libre influence. In addition to these points there are other rules that we will get to later, but don't worry KANZEN Pro won't be hard for you to follow at all! Q. How often will you be running shows? A. Unfortunately we cannot divulge that information as the arrangement of shows relies heavily on the alignment of certain planets and our astrologist is missing! We will update you as soon as we get more information! We can tell you however that each calendar year will count as one "season". This aspect will make following KANZEN Pro a lot easier for our fans as there will be an obvious beginning and end to each season's storylines! Q. What championships are available to KANZEN Pro wrestlers? A. Currently none! This will surely change in the future but as of yet there are no championships that will be put on the line in matches - only pride! Q. Does KANZEN have women's wrestling? A. In a way - yes! Here at KANZEN Pro we do not believe in limits being applied to individuals! We see no reason why a female wrestler should not be able to become a World Champion if that is her desire and she has the skill! As such we run an integrated product and women are treated equally with men! Unique Rules 1. KANZEN Pro matches are ONE fall to the finish. Matches can be won via pinfall, submission, knockout, disqualification, countout and referee stoppage. 2. KANZEN Pro matches MAY be held under dos de tres caídas (two out of three falls, traditional lucha libre style) rules on special occasions. 3. Wrestlers have to the count of 20 to return to the ring once they have left it - as opposed to the American traditional 10 count. 4. Ripping off a wrestlers mask is grounds for instant disqualification. Continuous attempts to rip off a mask can also merit disqualification as per the referee's discretion. 5. Unique to the lucha libre style of wrestler, in tag team matches when the legal wrestler of a team touches the floor outside the ring, a teammate may enter the ring to take his place as the legal competitor.
