"They always say, 'you can't kill this business, you can only bruise it'. But what happened with WCW is living proof that you can kill this business when the people running it know nothing about it".

The Story So Far.....

North America

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/USA.pnghttp://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Canada.png

With the territory system a distant memory the pro wrestling scene in North America is just emerging from it's latest war for dominance. Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation is once again the only Global promotion left when the dust has settled after buying out his two biggest competitors, WCW and ECW. The subsequent dream Invasion angle that many a wrestling fan has salivated over for decades looks to becoming close to reality and the timing could not be better as pro wrestling continues it's industry boom in North America.

Meanwhile various indy promotions with different and ranging styles are springing up around the place riding on the success of the industry boom period for the.

Japan

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/japan.png

Rocked by the death of Giant Baba in 1999, the Japanese wrestling scene is still feeling the effects of one of it's true legends passing. The founder of All Japan Pro Wrestling Giant Baba left the ownership of the company to his widow Motoko Baba and had Mitsuharu Misawa appointed as president. However, disheartened with Motoko Baba's proposed direction for the company, Misawa would depart the promotion in May of 2000 to form a new promotion called Pro Wrestling Noah. With Misawa followed all but two native stars (Masanobu Fuchi and Toshiaki Kawada being the only hold-outs), and is considered to be one of the biggest exoduses of talent in the sport's history.

New Japan Pro Wrestling continues it's reign as the number one company in Japan. While Antonio Inoki's booking the past few years seems to be slipping the NJPW name is still considered the most prestigious in the country. The recent influx of MMA crossover stars has spiked ratings for New Japan but many experts have expressed their concern it could do irreparable harm to the product, especially the fact that more and more NJPW stars are trying their hand in an MMA ring.

Mexico

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Mexico.png

The 90's witnessed Mexico robbed of it's greatest lucha's to the lure of North American money. As WCW and WWF signed hot prospect after prospect, Mexico's two biggest mainstay promotion's CMLL and AAA watched as their rosters were stripped almost bare. Now in the early 2000's both company's have put their future in the hands of young workers and have seen an immediate impact. Large crowds have started to return to events and new stars are being born again. Having learned the lessons of the past Mexican Luch Libre is looking to return to the forefront of professional wrestling.

Australia

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Austrailia.png

It's glory years long gone Australian wrestling returned with a massive bang in the late 90's. Coinciding with the introduction of cable TV in the country the Monday Night Wars drew Aussie wrestling fans back to the sport in droves.

Notes And Things

* Huge Gimmick file overhaul... no Gimmicks with 0% subtelty and all tweaked to fit C-Verse stats exactly.

* Dojos Graduates have had a huge amount of work put into them with the number now totalling 530, this is useful for future workers debuting in certain promotions.

* MCW was one of the WWF's development territories at the time but to make things sim better in the long run HWA has replaced them 6 months earlier then in reality. Any workers on development deals working in MCW at the time have been signed to HWA on the same type of contracts.

* A relationship between Vince McMahon and Sting has been added to prevent Sting signing with the WWF. Vince is only booker not owner of the company though so if you play as head booker you can hire him without any issues.

* Please report any typos, errors, odd things etc for future update fixes.

Enjoy :)

Edit - Oops Title is supposed to read "May 2001" not "Jan 2001". Hopefully a mod can edit for me.

Errors:

- All companies have 'Low Level' drug policy due to importing. (is this an error?? :p)

- 'WWF IC 66' reign is still assigned to Chris Kanyon instead of Chris Jericho.

- Melina Perez is still set as 'Male'.

Suggestions:

- Maybe import the name sets from default CornellVerse, so that the user doesn't have to do it.

- ECW and WCW as closed promotions at least?

- Television shows have a prestige setting in TEW2013 that could be utilised.

- Set the title defence frequency levels that were added in TEW2013. For example, the WWF World is currently set to be defended 'Often' on TV. Can't say what kind of impact it has to the AI booking, but I guess it has some kind.. otherwise it wouldn't have been added :p

- Edit the angle file. This doesn't play an important part and would be very tedious to edit, however, TEW2013 added a 'Storyline change' thingie and none of the old angles have it set.

- Legacies. A few lucha workers could be set as "Regenerate as a Legacy". Again, no biggie.

Great call about the names updating now.

ECW and WCW titles are all in WWF so no real reason to add them.

Not sure any company had higher than a 'Low Level' drug policy at the time. Not sure enough to add it anyway :)

Yeah good point about ECW & WCW :p

About the drug policy.. I just mentioned it because I'm not sure if all the promotions can handle the financial aspect of it (haven't actually forwarded in the game yet, but I'd imagine it will impact the promotions in question).

From the game:

"Low level:

The cost of this policy is a flat flee of $2,000 per show in admin costs, plus $1,000 in lab fees per worker tested."

This can be a factor if small indies go bankrupt.

This no longer works due to Vince's hiring veto.

I understand that WWF are a money powerhouse, however Brock Lesnar being on a contract worth £300,000 per month, may be a tad ridiculous. Eventually they'll start hemorrhaging money as he'll bleed them dry.

Haven't noticed many other errors. Looking forward to getting into this...

Mark Henry is also at an unfathomable $83,333 per month. Those numbers - while accurate for Henry, I believe - should really be dropped.

Agreed - as I wrote on EWB regarding Cpt. Charisma's current day RW mod where this is an issue too, the wages for some workers are FAR too high and the same unfortunately goes for this one too. There's no way you're gonna sustain a positive financial balance with this setup down the line.

I think it's the game it self not the mod makers fault on the salary. Only two ways to fix it I know of to be honest. Set it in the editor or lower all the wrestlers stats in the game. If I am wrong please tell me different way to do it because I am facing the same problems.
