UFC on FUEL TV: Silva vs. Stann - Press Conference and Weigh In Results

In conference press they held in Saitama on Friday, where it will be the UFC on FUEL TV. Dana White confirmed for October or November the The Ultimate Fighter: Japan vs. Korea which will be recorded in Japan, showing that the UFC went with everything in the Japanese market. Wanderlei Silva said he is not changing his division, and is willing to make good fights and interesting even perked up with the return of Chuck Liddell, and that a rematch with him would be great fight.

Unlike Wanderlei Silva, Brian Stann said he accepted the fight because he was unchallenged at the time, in the middleweight division and took the fight when it was offered and confirmed it is to look at the fight between Okami against Lombard, because it goes back to middleweight after this fight.

On the night of great fights UFC on FUEL TV is success in Japan

On his return to Japan, Wanderlei Silva gets knocked out in 38 seconds.

On the main card still had the Japanese Yushin Okami got another win, the Cuban Hector Lombard wins by unanimous decision in closely contested fight. Okami got more takedowns and continued during the first and third round ahead. Okami to win again approaches the title dispute, since Lombard who arrived as a major challenge in the category, has a record of 1-2 in the UFC.

Bahadurzada confirm that heavy hand in the victory over Paulo Thiago, luck was not with a lot of movement in the Octagon, Siyar Bahadurzada Kim kept away with his punches, not to go to the ground with the Judo expert. And with a quick right hook, managed overthrow Kim, and with a golden chance, Korean punished by the referee decreed the end of the fight. Now 2-0 in the UFC has Bahadurzada.

In the fight that opened the main card, Brazilian Rani Yahya won the Japanese Mizuto Hirota, who debuted in the featherweight division. Rani from the start dominated the fight, and so he got a takedown, used his Jiu Jitsu powerful and gave no chance to the Japanese. Finishing with just under 2 minutes into the fight.

In the preliminary card Caceres gets a huge knockout.

In the preliminary card the highlight was the performances of Alex Caceres and Brad Tavares. Brad Tavares lost the fight to the Japanese, Riki Fukuda until seven final seconds of the last round, when I could fit a good blow and detonating the Fukuda and showing great recovery in the fight that seemed lost.

Another highlight Alex Caceres faced Korean Kyung Ho Bae. And early in the fight with 23 seconds Caceres hit a flying kick, which knocked the Korean. With this great knockout, Caceres took the knockout of the night bonus.

It was announced on Friday, a rematch between Quinton Jackson against Forrest Griffin. They faced off at UFC 86, availing of the light heavyweight title in epoch with Quinton Jackson, and after 5 rounds Griffin was declared the winner by unanimous decision. Until today Quinton Jackson does not admit defeat and will have their chance to win the rematch.

In the Co-Main Event, another fight in the light heavyweight division, will return to the Octagon with Chuck Liddell. Chuck Liddell has not fought since 2009, and comes from three straight defeats. Chuck Liddell will fight Brandon Vera, coming off a loss to Mauricio Shogun. The UFC would bring to Canada to fight Georges St. Pierre asked, he wanted Anderson Silva he had only one name on his mind, Nick Diaz. Entering the last round the corner of Diaz, warned he was losing the fight and it was all or nothing. Frustrating Diaz, GSP just landed a takedown early in the last round, but Diaz began working his dangerous Jiu Jitsu and just as Anderson Silva, which finished in the last round with a triangle Chael Sonnen, Diaz landed a space at guard and GSP, landed a triangle and the unbelievable happened, Georges St.Pierre has been finished. The Bell Centre was silent as a funeral can only hear Diaz and his team entering the Octagon and celebrating a great victory.</div>

With a first class wrestling, Hendricks Ellenberger dominated with takedowns and controlled the fight over during the three rounds. At the end Ellenberger was declared the winner by unanimous decision while Hendricks did not believe in chance missed.

Thomson returns with submission; Carmont wins in close decision; Miller suffer punishment and after wins by submission.

Also on the main card, Josh Thomson returned to the UFC, facing Canadian Mark Bocek. And it could not come back in better shape, dominating the fight from the beginning, at the end of the second round, Thomson got the submission with an armbar.

In another match, Francis Carmont remains undefeated in the UFC, he won the Brazilian Thiago Perpetuo in Split Decision. In a fight that victory could be given to either of the two fighters.

And in the last fight of the main card, Dan Miller showed grit and determination inside the Octagon. The Canadian Jordan Mein which debuted in the UFC, showing great standup game, and managed to apply two knockdowns in the second round. It seemed that would equal the third round after the third knockdown suffer Miller, but Miller managed save himself and applied a triangle choke and won a great victory.</div>

In the first fight, Nick Penner got a win by knockout in Chad Griggs, Penner hit a strong high kick in Griggs, who still managed to hit Penner with a strong punch, and when everything seemed set in favor of Griggs, Penner returned the blows and managed victory in a final crazy.

The season comes to an end. four fighters are still in pursuit of the dream, 3 fighters Team Sonnen, Mike Persons, Nik Fekete and Kito Andrews. Still representing Team Jones, only Ryan Bigler. The semi-finals will be announced today and we will know who the finalists are going to the final at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. In search of the chance to become the next Ultimate Fighter.

As Time Sonnen still has three fighters, two would have to face, and after workouts, Dana White appeared at the UFC Gym, for the announcement of semi-final matches. And the first fight will be between:

Round 1

The Fight Begins!

Bigler throws out a couple of a jabs as a set up, then shoots in for a takedown.

Bigler finds his takedown blocked with a sprawl , and Persons prompty wrestles him to the groud, ending up on top, in half guard.

Bigler reaches over and tries to lock up an arm.

Bigler attempts to secure an arm.

Bigler attempts to grab an arm of Persons from the bottom of half guard.

An Armbar is applied, but with only a few seconds left there isn´t time to straighten the arm out for the tap!

In conference held today in Stockholm, Sweden, was talked:

- If Gustafsson pass Mousasi, may be that he be the next after Henderson.

- Mousasi told in no hurry to compete for the title one more victory would put him in good position in the division.

- Gustafsson said it is very good to fight in his country and that the pressure will not hinder him.

- Dana said that TUF is running the world and will soon have a European edition, and is closing agreements with televisions for that to happen.

- About Kampmann and Saffiedine, Dana revealed to have good plans for the winner of this fight.

UFC on FUEL TV: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi - Resume, Results and Post Fight.

Gustafsson defeats Mousasi and approaches the Title Shot.

In the main event of the evening, Alexander Gustafsson tried to stay on TOP of the light heavyweight division. And faced the Former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi who was making his UFC debut. In a first round of little action, Gustafsson took some advantage over not leave very clear who won the round. And in the second round, came back more confident, avoiding attempts to Mousasi to clinch the game, managed a good sequence that took Mousasi to the ground, unable to defend themselves well, the referee chose to stop the fight.

With this win, Gustafsson increases its series winning streak to seven. While Mousasi, suffered their first defeat of technical knockout.

With strong knee, Kampamann knocks him out Saffiedine.

Tarec Saffiedine and Martin Kampmann, were at different times before the fight. Kampamann had been knocked out by Hendricks in his last fight, Saffiedine already had a win over Nate Marquardt and still getting the Strikeforce belt. And come fight time at UFC experience made the difference. With good strikes, Kampmann started better combat, leaving no Saffiedine put your game in practice. In the second round Kampmann managed apply a knee accurate in Saffiedine, who has fallen unconscious, without Kampmann needs to be applied more blows. It was a great victory that puts Kampmann again among the best in the division.

Kongo defeated Kharitonov; Hacran Dias demolishes with Corassani; Fisher wins by split decision.

In a battle of strikers, Cheick Kongo faced Sergei Kharitonov. Kongo was looking for a better performance, because the last fight he defeated Shawn Jordan in a terrible fight, and if he wanted something better in that category would have make a good fight, already Kharitonov, made his UFC debut, and wanted to impress. In the first round lots of action and a strong striking, with a slight advantage for Kongo who used their power to control the fight. And missing a minute into the final round Kongo landed a knockdown with a strong right straight, and ran to define the fight with punches and elbows, more the bell saved Kharitonov.

In the second round, and things were repeated with another knockdown, Kongo did not miss the chance, and won by TKO in the second round.

In another fight of the night with local fighter, Akira Corassani face the promise Brazilian Hacran Dias. Early on, Dias has applied for a takedown and Corassani moving rapids came the mount. And he began to punish the Swede, causing the referee to end the fight.

Also on the main card, American Spencer Fisher who came from consecutive losses, ended the downswing and won the Swedish Reza Madadi split decision in tight fight.

With weak fights in his preliminary card, Catone stands out with submission.

With very weak fights the preliminary card had two good wins to stand out. The Englishman Brad Scott coming of defeat, won the Swedish Besam Yousef by technical knockout, managing to win to stay in the UFC. And in the second match of the event, Nick Catone won by submission Magnus Cendenblad. After a bad start fighting, Catone was able to reverse and leave with the victory.

The Ultimate Fighter 17: Finale - Press Conference and Weigh In.

In the press conference was spoken:

- Dana White confirmed that the UFC back in May for England.

- Sean Sherk says he is very relieved to be back after a long time injured.

- Dana confirmed that Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko will fight in Dallas, Texas and have already booked the Cowboy Stadium.

- Ryan Bigler says he hopes to win the TUF and become a big name in the middleweight division.

- Nik Fekete said he was inspired by his trainer at home, Chael Sonnen, because they have the same fighting style.

- Dana White liked that Sean Sherk is back and that the lightweight division today is possible to have more challengers.

The Ultimate Fighter 17: Finale - Resume, Results and Post Fight.

On his return, Sherk is finished by Danzig.

Sean Sherk returned to the UFC after a long time still, and faced the winner of the ultimate fighter, Mac Danzig. In the first round Sherk pressured and won the round by placing Danzig down with takedowns. In the second round, Danzig and balanced the fight in an attempt to kick Sherk, Danzig landed a right cross and applied a knockdown in Sherk. The third round was not much more action already tired by the time outside the Octagon Sherk began to experience shortness of breath. In the fourth round Danzig took the advantage and managed to take the fight to the ground, and finished Sherk with an armbar.

Nik Fekete with style Sonnen wins by TKO, and is the new Ultimate Fighter.

Nik Fekete, tonight became the new ultimate fighter. Ryan Bigler He won by TKO in the third round. Fekete used the tactics of his coach in reality, Chael Sonnen. UFC announces full card of UFC on FUEL TV: Hathaway vs. Pyle.

In the last episode in a struggle of two experienced grapplers, Christian won Uflacker of Pablo Popovitch, giving the advantage to the Team Nogueira, more in the second fight Werdum Team recovered and took control with the victory of Felipe Portela against Andre Santos. The rush for the dream continues, to see who will be the next Ultimate Fighter Brazil.

Round 1

Round one begins!

There´s a double leg attempt from, Juliano, from the pocket.

The takedown is completed, it was a single leg and Serao is left on his back pulling guard.

Round one ends as time expires.

Round 2

There´s the bell and round number two begins!

Juliano swings with a couple of wild punches, then chooses to shoot in on Serao.

Juliano comes in swinging wildy, using the strikes as cover so that he can shoot in.

The time is up, and that´s the end of round two.

We have a decision.

And the winner by unanimous decision, is Juliano Belgini.

Another victory for Team Werdum, which vibrates with dressing on the good performance of Julian Belgini, he won one of the most experienced fighters in the house. Barral throws a couple of jabs, then chooses to shoot in on Jorge.

The takedown doesn´t work, Jorge sprawled to defend it and then works into a clinch position.

Time expires and we come to the end of round two.

We have a decision.

And the winner, who continues in the competition, is Ivan Jorge.

UFC on FOX: Henderson vs. Melendez - Press Conference and Weigh In.

In conference held today in San Jose,California, was talked:

- Dana confirmed that Anthony Pettis is the number one contender in the lightweight and will face the winner of Henderson against Melendez.

- Henderson is anxious and wants a rematch against Pettis, who has won Henderson at WEC.

- Dana said that if Cormier wins, if he does not fight with Velasquez for the heavyweight title, he will drop to the light heavyweight division.

- Asked Cormier is now at the title fight, Dana said it would depend on how the division is the moment, but who thinks he should make a fight.

- Said the vencerdor Miller vs. Alvarez will fight for the title shot in his next fight.

UFC on FOX: Henderson vs. Melendez - Resume, Results and Post Fight

After 5 rounds, Melendez defeats Henderson, and becomes the new champion of the UFC.

In another title defense, Ben Henderson would face a new challenge in the UFC, former lightweight champion of Strikeforce, Gilbert Melende. Ben Henderson in the first round got better and managed to takedown Melendez, who soon stood up and just that action in the first round. After the first round, only gave Melendez who used his takedowns and in the second round, got an elbow that rocked Henderson. And after 5 rounds jurors who decided and scored 50-45,50-45 and 49-46 for the new lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez.

Frank Mir wins easily Daniel Cormier.

In the Co-Main event of the night, Daniel Cormier made his long-awaited UFC debut against veteran former heavyweight champion, Frank Mir. Daniel Cormier is Olympic wrestler, knew that if it was the ground would have to be careful about what dangerous Jiu Jitsu Mir. Cormier put Mir back to cage and tried to make the takedown.. And in one of these attempts succeeded Frank Mir apply a Guillotine Choke standing Cormier tried to escape but he tapped. Frank Mir again figure among the best in the Heavyweight Division, Cormier still does not know whether to go down the light heavyweight division or if continued at Heavyweight.

Eddie Alvarez wins in his UFC debut.

Dana White had announced that the winner of Alvarez and Miller would have a chance to compete for Title Shot fighters made and worth the chance and gave a good fight for the public. In the first round Alvarez started better, controlling Miler and avoiding the takedowns he tried. In the second round, Miller managed use strategy to takedown and control Alvarez, who in an attempt to escape almost got caught in a guillotine choke. In the decisive third round, the fight was still disputed even without a fighter without a great advantage. Until Alvarez managed apply a flying knee, getting a knockdown. Miller quickly took over Alvarez with the blow managed an advantage that was decisive. And in the end the judges scored 29-28 to winner and newcomer Eddie Alvarez by unanimous decision.

Matt Brown maintains winning streak and defeats Dan Hardy by knockout.

In the welterweight division, Dan Hardy and Matt Brown came to win and another win would put one of them among the best in the division. In the first round Hardy was working better blows and also striking in the clinch. In the second round Brown returned with everything and Hardy soon responded with counter-strikes. And at the end of the round, Brown connected a strong right hook, Hardy felt the blow and hit the ground, and Brown landed more strikes that defined the knockout victory.

In the preliminary card MacDonald, wins submission of the night and fight of the night.

On the preliminary card, Jason MacDonald stood out with a big win over Jared Hamman. Both coming from of a sequence of defeats, and walked up to fight decision when MacDonald landed a knockdown, and Hamman already dominated the floor MacDonald finished with a rear naked choke in the third round. With the victory MacDonald took the bonus for submission of the night and fight of the night.

In other fights on the card Alan Belcher again won by unanimous decision at UFC newcomer Lorenz Larkin.

UFC 162 is announced

This afternoon the UFC announced its edition number 162, which will be held the week of Independence Day, the week that the UFC is always a great event. The UFC 162 main fight will be the long awaited showdown between former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar against former PRIDE FC Heavyweight Champion, the legendary Fedor Emelianenko, who will make his UFC debut. In the Co-Main Event, the competition for title shot, in Middleweight division. Chris Weidman will face Vitor Belfort, the winner must face Anderson Silva for the title. The event will also bring the debut of Manny Pacquiao in MMA, he'll face Nam Phan in a fight that promises much striking.

The Ultimate Fighter Brazil: Team Nogueira vs. Team Werdum

EPISODE 4

In the last episode of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, Jorge Ivan won the last fight and Team Nogueira took control of the choices, the second phase is coming to an end. Let's see who moves in next two fights.

Intense week of training at Team Nogueira to try to maintain good form and keep winning. Team Werdum in the team trained hard with all that has not fought since anyone can be chosen to fight the next fight.

The teams meet at the UFC gym, the choice belongs to Team Nogueira. And Rodrigo Minoutauro chooses ...

Time Werdum came close to victory over Amilcar Alves managed to recover and won the victory for Team Nogueira that will define the final two fights that stage.
