UFC on FOX: Edgar vs. Mendes - Resume, Results and Post Fight

Edgar retains his Title.

On this Saturday night, Frankie Edgar made his first title defense against challenger again, Chad Mendes. All betting that the fight would be tough, but Edgar made the fight easy, and with just under four minutes Frankie Edgar finished Chad Mendes with a rear naked choke in the first round and retained his belt.

Bisping back and knocks out Franklin.

Michael Bisping and Rich Franklin, returning to the Octagon trying to recover from defeats in his last UFC. Better for the English, who in the first round connected a strong right cross that led to Franklin knockout. With the victory Bisping again among the best in the middleweight division.

Elleberger wins in Decision Story, Nogueira uses boxing to knock out Hamill.

Also on the main card, Jake Ellenberger and Rick Story made a fight that decided the next in contention for Title Shot. In the first round Rick Story used his better wrestling and annulled Ellenberger. In the second round Elleberger improved and equaled the fight and tired Story. In the final and decisive round, Elleberger Story and held down the fight. In the end the judges scored 29-28 for Elleberger. That the next fight will dispute a title shot.

Already Rogerio Nogueira would face the home fighter, Matt Hamill. In the first round Hamill used his wrestling to take down Nogueira and succeeded. Hamill made strategy similar to other wrestlers who defeated Brazilian Phil Davis and Ryan Bader. In the second round Nogueira used his boxing and put a great sequel that rocked the american and with a straight, well placed and knocked Hamill won another victory in the Octagon.

With great preliminary card fights agitates the crowd.

The preliminary card of the UFC on FOX was one of the best of recent times with big fights the fans were delirious.

Highlights for the victories of Brazilian, Ronaldo Souza, former Strikeforce champion who debuted, finished Mark Munoz with a Guillotine Choke in the second round to Rafael dos Anjos who beat Josh Thomson with an Armbar in the second round and Renee Forte, who Jeremy Sthepens defeated by KO at 30 seconds of the fight.

- Dana White began by saying that in the next season of TUF in the United States, will be in the women's division or be in the heavyweight division.

- Wanderlei Silva does not know yet whether it will continue in the middleweight division, the results is that go say.

UFC on FX: Silva vs. Lombard - Resume, Results and Post Fight

Lombard defeat Silva in the Third Round.

Was held this Saturday in Australia, another UFC on FX.

In the main event, Cuban living in Australia, Hector Lombard, got another win in the Octagon, he defeated the former PRIDE middleweight champion, Wanderlei Silva.

In the early rounds Lombard used his takedowns to decrease the resistance of the Brazilian. In the third round Lombard managed to apply a knockdown in Silva, and punched the referee to stop the fight. Lombard is recovering in the race for the title, since Wanderlei Silva does not win the three fights.

Mousasi wins Te Huna and is recovering in the UFC.

The former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi, had debuted with the UFC defeat. More on again in his second fight in rival territory, Mousasi to win. And won by technical knockout James Te Huna in the second round, after connecting a strong straight right that rocked the Australian and punishing finish up the referee to stop the fight.

Sotiropoulos wins again; Head defeats Noke in close decision;Perosh retires with defeat.

In other main card fights, three more Australians competed. George Sotiropoulos won again, he defeated the Swedish Reza Madadi. Sotiropoulos dominated the first two rounds, and in the third mount after the opponent, he punishment with punches until the referee stop the fight. A great return for Sotiropoulos.

Already Kyle Noke and Anthony Perosh were defeated. Kyle Noke got better than American James Head, and put a flying knee that hit Head getting a knockdown. In the second round was Head who managed a knockdown in Noke. In the third round was played well, leaving doubts in the air, about the winner.

In the end the judges scored the fight 29-28, 29-28, 28-29 victory and a split decision to James Head.

And Anthony Perosh went for the last time in the Octagon, and faced another veteran Vladimir Matyushenko. In a fight that did not please the fans ended up taking Matyushenko in the unanimous decision.

In the preliminary card Daron Cruickshank wins and leads bonuses fight of the night.

On the preliminary card, Daron Cruickshank won Cristiano Marcello, with a start in the intense exchange of blows, Cruickshank managed to topple Marcello, and quickly ended the fight. Despite the rapidity of the fight she took the prize for best fight of the night.

Lightweight Bout: Aaron Armstrong (4-3) vs. Mark Holst (10-3)

Round 1

And here we go!

Armstrong comes in, looking for a quick double leg takedown from close range.

Holst tries to time a counter right hand, but can´t get it.

The Takedown is completed, Holst is on his back and pulls guard.

The time runs out on round one.

Round 2.

There´s the bell for the start of the round!

With control of the clinch, Armstrong tries to complete a takedown.

Holst cannot stop the takedown, and has to pull guard.

There´s a takedown attempt from Armstrong.

Holst tries to time a counter right hand, but can´t get it.

Armstrong gets the takedown! Holst pulls guard.

Round two end a time expires.

Come to the third round.

Round 3.

We are back underway!

Armstrong catches an attempted body kick and goes for the takedown, but it is blocked.

Holst moves in quickly after a wayward punch and hits a flurry of small strikes.

Armstrong chooses to move forward and try to take Holst down.

A counter right cross is too slow to catch Armstrong.

Armstrong gets the takedown! Holst pulls guard.

We reach the time limit and this fight is over.

All three judges score the contest as 29-28.

And the winner by unanimous decision is Aaron Armstrong.

UFC 164 on Canada in August!

The UFC 164 was announced and will take place at the Bell Centre in Quebec, Canada on the 10th of August. Again in the main event of the evening, George St.Pierre, who returns after losing his belt to Nick Diaz. He faces Martin Kampmann extremely hard to come by knockout to win the former champion of Strikeforce, Tarec Saffiedine. In the Co-Main Event a huge fight in the heavyweight division. The former UFC champion, Junior dos Santos back to the Octagon against former Strikeforce champion and K-1, Alistair Overeem. Both coming off a loss, Dos Santos in his last fight he lost the title to Cain Velasquez, while Overeem was knocked out by Bigfoot Silva.

UFC 162: Lesnar vs. Fedor - Resume, Results and Post Fight.

Brock Lesnar returns with big knockout over Fedor Emelianenko.

The UFC held a big event on Saturday night. Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko finally met and the fight did not last two minutes. With both fighters coming back from retirement, the better for the American than in an exchange of blows managed to hit a strong punch, which led Emelianenko knocked out immediately. A big win for Brock Lesnar on his return.

Weidman wins Belfort, and waits for title fight.

Chris Weidman was already being considered as a challenger in the middleweight division, most lacked a win over a big name. And Weidman got this Saturday, winning the former light heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort by TKO in the second round. Weidman began trying to take the fight to the ground, more Belfort used his experience and was better in the first round. But in the second round Weidman landed a good blow that shook Belfort, who was almost knocked to the ground. And with a few more punches, the referee stopped the fight, Weidman to enshrine in the middleweight division.

Pacquiao debut with a knockout in the third round, Davis and Lauzon wins by submission; Nurmagomedov remains undefeated.

In the struggle of land, Phil Davis and Joe Lauzon achieved great victories. Lauzon came first in the Octagon against Danny Castillo. In the first round Castillo was better getting a knockdown. And in the second round, started better than Lauzon again, managing to apply a beautiful slam, but Joe Lauzon when the ground was not allowed the chance to escape and took Danny Castillo in a great triangle choke. It was a great recovery Joe Lauzon. While Phil Davis won easily the former Strikeforce champion Rafael Feijao, by Rear Naked Choke in the first round.

In the most hotly contested fight of the night, Khabib Nurmagomedov defended his unbeaten record against the experienced Yves Edwards. And in a hotly contested decision the Russian managed to stay unbeaten record now 20-0.

On the preliminary card, Caio Magalhaes wins fight with Andrew Craig in big turnaround

With great struggles the preliminary card had a bonus of the night. It happened in the fight between Caio Magalhaes and Andrew Craig. Andrew Craig massacred Magalhaes for two rounds, including a knockdown in the second round. When the last 4:25 of the round, after trying a drop in Magalhaes, Craig flinched at the neck, and Magalhaes caught in a Guillotine Choke.

Mentions also for the victories of Erik Perez and Joey Gambino who surprised the home fighter Leonard Garcia by knockout in the last round.

UFC confirms last card of August.

The UFC announced his last card in August, will be another edition of UFC on FX, which will take place at the Pepsi Cemter in Denver, Colorado on the 24th of the month. In the main event former champion Lyoto Machida wants to win again, against Brandon Vera, who comes from a great knockout in Chuck Liddell. The card will also house the fighter Shane Carwin, who faces Stipe Miocic.

In the last episode of The Ultimate Fighter, the semifinals were decided in their weights. Team Stout has the advantage in ranked with 6 against 2 Team Grant.

In today's episode, Sam Stout and TJ Grant had a meeting with Dana White and picked fights semifinals.

In both divisions, representatives of Team Stout will have to face.

And the fights were decided and announced.

Standing in the pocket, Armstrong chooses to shoot in for a double leg on MacDonald.

MacDonald sprawls well, and Armstrong is forced down to his knees, almost turtled up.

Armstrong comes in with a couple of jabs, using them as cover so that he can shoot in.

MacDonald tries to avoid the takedown.

The Time is up, and that´s the end of round one.

Round 2

There´s the bell and round number two begins!

Armstrong comes in, looking for a quick takedown.

MacDonald tries to avoid Armstrong.

The time runs out on round two.

We have a decision

And the winner advancing to the final of the lightweight is Aaron Armstrong.

Round 1

Round one begins!

Boland sees a right body kick coming, grabs it, shoots in for a takedown, and gets it!Rice has to pull guard.

A left jab misses, giving Rice the chance to hit back with a barrage of hard rights, enought to put Boland down!

Rice Doesn´t have time to capitalise though, as Boland recovers his wits quickly.

Rice reaches over and tries to lock Boland in an arm triangle.

Boland stops Rice from applying it.

Boland attempts to guillotine Rice from the bottom of half guard.

Rice pulls free before the guillotine can be applied.

Round one is brought to an end as time runs out.

Round 2

Round two begins!

Boland scores with a solid left jab.

An attempted inside leg kick misses, giving Boland the oppotunity to counter with a crisp right uppercut; Rice is momentarily wobbly!

A left hand misses, allowing Boland to counter with a massive right hand, but Rice somehow doesn´t go down!

Rice throws out a couple of jabs as a set up, then shoots in for a takedown.

Boland sprawls, stopping the takedown and forcing Rice down to the ground into a type of turtle position.

Boland tries to isolate and secure an arm.

With his opponent turtled tightly, Boland cannot get an armbar set up but does flatten him out.

Round two is brought to an end as time runs out.

Let's have a third round.

Round 3

Round three begins!

A left jab misses and Rice strikes back with two big right hands!

Rice quickly slaps on a guillotine choke and pulls Boland down to the ground to try and finish it!

Boland can´t escape the guillotine, it´s tight enought that he has to tap!

Shane Rice takes the win by submission!

With the victory Team Grant will have a representative in the final.

UFC on FUEL TV: Henderson vs. Gomi - Resume, Results and Post Fight.

Henderson in his comeback defeat Gomi by decision.

Ben Henderson returned to the Octagon after losing his title to Gilbert Melendez against the Japanese superstar, Takanori Gomi. The fight was highly anticipated, but ended up not being good. Henderson was better able to takedown in the first round Gomi, but could not work the punches on the ground. In the second round Gomi seemed best apply a takedown and getting on top, while Henderson, attempted submissions. In the decisive last round again dropped Gomi and Henderson won the fight by getting up. In the end, the judges scored 30-27 for the former UFC champion, Ben Henderson.

Ludwig surprise and knocks him out Dong Hyun Kim.

In the co-main event, Duane Ludwig surprised, and managed to beat Dong Hyun Kim. In the first round the Korean managed to use his judo background dangerous. In the second round, Duane Ludwig managed to put a strong blow that rocked Kim, and struck another strong blow that knocked out Dong Hyun Kim. A great victory for Duane Ludwig.

Dillashaw annuls Mizugaki; Menjivar wins Yamamoto at close decision; Misaki debut with quick submission.

Also on the main card, Takeya Mizugaki was close to title dispute, but lost to TJ Dillashaw. The American used his wrestling game and takedown succeeded in all rounds. In the end all the judges scored 30-27 for Dillashaw. In another fight at Bantamweight Division, Ivan Menjivar defeated Kid Yamamoto in very tight fight. Yamamoto in the first round, managed to apply a large Slam in Ivan Menjivar. In round two and three, the two fighters are defending the takedowns. Ivan Menjivar at the end to win by split decision.

Already Kazuo Misaki debuted in the UFC, against Hyun Gyu Lim Korean, and quickly PRIDE and Strikeforce veteran, won by Armbar in 3:44.

On the preliminary card, Brazilians lead of the night bonus.

On the preliminary card, Brazilians stood out. Thiago Perpetuo got a good victory over Riki Fukuda Japanese with a technical knockout in the first round, while Yuri Alcantara managed a good finishing against the Japanese Motonubo Tezuka, earning his first win in bantanweight division.

Shockingle, Quenneville loses it! Groulx pops his head free, and has somehow survived!

The takedown doesn´t work, Groulx stuffed it.

Quenneville uses a flurry of lefts and rights to get Groulx to cover up, then shoots in looking for a takedown.

UFC on FUEL TV in Canada announces the coaches fight and the finals of TUF.

The UFC on FUEL TV will be held in Canada and have a great card. The event will take place one day before UFC 164 that also is in Canada. The main event will be the fight of the coaches, Sam Stout will face TJ Grant. In the co-main event, we will be back for another muse of MMA, Gina Carano, who will face Canadian Sarah Kaufman. The event will still happen the finals of TUF Canada, in the Lightweight Final two representatives from Team Stout, Tyler Jackson against Aaron Armstrong and Featherweight Final, a representative from each team, Thierry Quenneville of Team Stout, against Shane Rice of Team Grant .

UFC 163: Diaz vs. MacDonald - Resume, Results and Post Fight

Nick Diaz finishes Rory MacDonald, and retains the title.

Making his first defense of the title, Nick Diaz faced the rise in Canadian, Rory MacDonald. And Diaz managed to retain his belt, after starting at a disadvantage in the first two rounds, Diaz was better in the third round avoiding takedowns and getting better shots. Until the fourth round Diaz knocked MacDonald, who with his dangerous Jiu Jitsu, applied a triangle choke, and finished Rory MacDonald. Now Nick Diaz must defend his belt against Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specialist Demian Maia.

Physical Preparation makes the difference, and Ryan Bader wins Rashad Evans.

In the co-main event of the evening, Ryan Bader made use of your physical conditioning, to use his takedowns and keep the floor during the three rounds the former champion Rashad Evans. Evans also has a good wrestling, could not avoid going to the ground and eventually dominated by Bader, which ended with the victory by unanimous decision. The victory made Bader approaching a title shot.

Okami finishes Stann; Johnson and Hunt make epic fight; Swick imposes third straight loss to Condit; Nik Lentz maintains good sequence of victories.

In other fights of the main card, Yushin Okami got closer the chance to title shot with win over Brian Stann. Okami used his wrestling to take down Brian Stann dominated the fight until you finish Stann.

In the fight between heavyweights, Lavar Johnson and Mark Hunt, are known for his powerful punches and it was decided that the fight after two large round striking that Johnson was better in the fight, a strong straight connected, which immediately knocked out Mark Hunt . With the win Johnson ranks among the best heavyweights and even took the bonus for knockout of the night and fight of the night.

In the evening zebra Mike Swick was able to finalize Carlos Condit. After a good start Condit managed to overthrow Swick, who has already fallen applying a Guillotine Choke, Condit tried over the defense could not get out, Swick also took the bonus for submission of the night.

Already Nik Lentz had work but managed to beat former WEC champion Mike Brown. In a fight with takedowns many for both fighters, Lentz got out with a split decision victory.

Dan Miller and CB Dollaway continue the sequence of wins in the preliminary card.

Dan Miller seems to have found his weight class in the welterweight Miller has a record of 3-0 with victory against Siyar Bahadurzada who was undefeated in the UFC. In very difficult fight after three rounds the judges decided the victory in favor of Dan Miller split decision. While CB Dollaway kept his good form to win Derek Brunson. In this fight Brunson tried to put the fight on the ground in every way, more Dollaway managed to stay upright and controlled the fight in the end victory by unanimous decision.

- The coaches will be rivals Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate, who will do a rematch after the season.

- Whoever wins between Tate and Rousey will fight for the belt against Carmouche or Cyborg.

- Dana revealed that Demetrius Johnson may well win back the fight for the title.

UFC announces first card of the super month of September, with Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson for the middleweight title.

This afternoon the UFC announced the card for UFC 165 which will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event features two title fights. In the main event, the two best Pound for Pound in the world, face the middleweight title. Anderson Silva returns to the Octagon to defend his title and his unbeaten record in the UFC against former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and former PRIDE Middleweight Champion Dan Henderson, who tries his rematch against Anderson Silva.

The first duel took place at UFC 82 in Columbus, Ohio. That fight Anderson Silva submitted Dan Henderson in the second round by Rear Naked Choke.

In the Co-Main Event title of another dispute, the Bantamweight Division, the champion Dominick Cruz returns from injury and faces interim champion, Michael McDonald. Dominick Cruz has not fought since October 2010, when he defended his title against Demetrious Johnson, while Michael McDonald comes landslide victory by TKO over Renan Barao at 0:21 seconds in February this year. The fight will unify the division champion.

The card will still have to define the next challenger in the lightweight division, Gray Maynard will attempt to reach the title chance again, so it will have to beat Eddie Alvarez.

Maynard won his last fight against Clay Guida, while Eddie Alvarez, who debuted in April, beating Jim Miller by unanimous decision.

UFC on FUEL TV - Main Card Play by Play

Hello good evening, let's start with the first card in the Play by Play Sherdog.com.

Middleweight Bout: Jason MacDonald (26-16) vs. Karlos Vemola (10-3)

Round 1

And Here we go!. A couple of quick punches are used to set up a takedown attempt from MacDonald. Vemola stuffs the takedown, but gets pushed up against the cage instead. With the cage trapping Vemola, MacDonald looks to try and take him down. Vemola Blocks the takedown attempts and turns. MacDonald around so that he has his back to the cage. MacDonald attempts to wrestle Vemola to the ground. MacDonald gets the takedown! Vemola pulls half guard. MacDonald tries to lock Vemola into an arm triangle. MacDonald gets the arm triangle, sinks it in deeply, and Vemola has to tap!

The winner, by Submission; Jason MacDonald!

TUF Canada Featherweight Final: Thierry Quenneville (16-9) vs. Shane Rice (5-3)

Round 1

We are Underway! Rice uses a flurry of lefts and rights to get Quenneville to cover up, then shoots in looking for a takedown. A good sprawl stops the takedown, and Rice is brought down to the mat in a loose front facelock. Quenneville pounds away with punches and Rice is in big trouble! The Referee jumps in to save Rice from taking any more shots! That has to be called a controversial finish as Rice may have been in trouble but he was still clearly active and trying to defend himself!

The winner, by TKO, and the Ultimate Fighter Featherweight Winner, Thierry Quenneville!

TUF Canada Lightweight Final: Aaron Armstrong (4-3) vs. Tyler Jackson (9-7-1)

Round 1

There´s the opening bell! Time expires and we come to the end of round one, I Think Armstrong took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

Round 2

And here we go, round two! Armstrong shoots in for a takedown. A counter right cross is too slow to catch Armstrong. The Takedown is successful, it´s a single leg that leaves Jackson pulling guard. Armstrong tries to ensnare an arm. Armstrong cannot secure the arm. A couple of quick punches are used to set up a takedown attempt from Armstrong. Jackson sees the takedown coming and tries to move. Round two is brought to an end as time runs out. That has to go down as a 10-9 round to Armstrong.

Round 3

And here we go, round three! Armstrong chooses to shoot in on Jackson. A counter right cross is too slow to catch Armstrong. Armstrong gets a single leg takedown! Jackson pulls guard off it. Armstrong throws a couple of ragged-looking jabs as set up, then attempts a takedown. I think Armstrong took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

The Judge´s scores are now being announced.

All three judges have given 30-27. Aaron Armstrong is the Ultimate Fighter Lightweight Winner, by Unanimous Decision!

Co-Main Event

Women´s Bantamweight Bout: Gina Carano (7-1) vs. Sarah Kaufman (15-2)

Round 1

The fight begins! Time expires and we come to the end of round one. I think Kaufman took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

Round 2

We are back underway! Round two ends as time expires. I have to give that round to Kaufman, but only a 10-9.

Round 3

There´s the bell and round number three begins! Kaufman Checks a leg kick and comes right back with a series of big punches, trapping Carano against the cage! Getting destroyed, Carano falls to the ground...but blows keep on landing! The referee jumps in and saves Carano from taking any more shots!

Sarah Kaufman taked the victory by way of TKO!

Main Event

Lightweight Bout: Sam Stout (19-8-1) vs. T.J. Grant (20-5)

Round 1

Round one begins! There´s a takedown attempt from Grant. Grant gets a single leg takedown! Stout pulls guard off it. Grant is trying to passa guard. He passes, but only to hald guard. Grant attempts to arm triangle Stout from the top of Half guard. Stout blocks it. Round one is brought to an end as time runs out. You can hear some boos from the audience, they weren´t impressed with that round at all. That has to go down as a 10-9 round to Grant.

Round 2

And here we go, round two! Grant chooses to shoot in on Stout. Grant has the takedown! Stout pulls half guard. The time runs out on round two. That has to go down as a 10-9 round to Grant.

Round 3

Round three begins! Grant chooses to shoot in on Stout. Stout tries to avoid the takedown. We reach the time limit and this fight is over. I think Stout took that round, 10-9 on my score card.

The official scores are being reported now.

All three judges give 29-28. The winner, by unanimous decision, is T.J. Grant.
