SWF: The Supreme Wrestling Federation

A Background:

The Supreme Wrestling Federation was established to be a throwback to classic 80's, family friendly wrestling, focusing on characters as opposed to realistic combat. Wrestlers hype their matches to get the fans in and keep them gripped with storylines and storytelling in and out of the ring.

Since its inception, the company have developed a roster that mostly surrounds the fan-favourite, 'The Immortal' Jack Power, but the aim is for everyone on the roster to have a unique gimmick and character so everyone has a place and so that the promotion isn't over saturated with the now ever-common 'cookie-cutter' style wrestler.

OOC: Hi all, first off a little background and a couple of notes on what to expect from me with this dynasty. I have done a couple of diary games before and whether good or bad they have always been with the mindset of 'I have to write this and I will grow to like it', this is never a healthy mindset to enjoy a game and due to this, I naturally lost interest on several occasions.

I have tried a couple of different games and uploaded a dynasty or two but they never went very far and I ended up feeling that the games were becoming a chore.

The exception of this was a 1987 AWA diary game I had a couple of years ago which few will remember I'm sure (if you do, cracking memory), but it was without a doubt the best TEW game I have ever played and it was thanks to how much I brought it to life in my imagination by writing it down and posting it here.

I genuinely believe I have that love for a game again now with this game I am playing, it is fun to play and even more fun to write up, which is something I have only experienced the once.

One of my main problems with diary writing has always and will always be pictures... I hate them, this means I have loads of respect for those who have frequent diaries with images throughout because I do not have the patience and give massive thumbs up to those who do :).

For this diary, there will be limited images, the initial roster will have an image so you can get an idea on people I am using and when I make hires in the future I will post an image of them at the time. Apart from this, the dynasty will be text based as I will work much better that way. Formatting and presentation will therefore be essential so please, please if there is anything you see that doesn't look quite right let me know as I need it to read as easy as possible so it makes for a much better experience for you, dear reader.

Secondly, updates. As like many people on this board, I have a rather busy personal life and can't give insanely quick updates a la poster like TheLloyd etc. (I honestly don't know how you do it mate, fair play if you see this :)) my aim is to do write-up's in MSWord for a couple of hours a couple of nights a week so hope to have a show up around once a week.

I have asked for and will no doubt ask for new renders or alt's for people so for those who have already and for those I may annoy in the future, I thank you. Also thanks to jhd1 and his teams' monumental effort in creating this universe for the game, it is hugely appreciated.

<p>I had seen your comment in the Small Questions thread (or wherever it was), Powerful_Fox so I'm glad you decided to try out the mod, and best of all that you are enjoying it! Pictures aren't essential, but I think your idea of putting up images of your roster and future hires is always a good one, especially if you end up giving someone an entirely new gimmick.</p><p> </p><p>

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Very Interesting set up you have here. A bit odd to see a promotion called SWF in the Thunderverse, but you've done a good job setting things up.

Preview – SWF American Wrestling – January 2013

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Final

‘The Immortal’ Jack Power vs. ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis w/ Christina

I don't normally go for user characters, but you've done a pretty good job in giving him a personality/role in the company.

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Final

‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor vs. King Edward w/ Queen Jessica

By hook or crook I think King Edward takes this one.

SWF Tag Team Championship Match

The Highlights (Tom Paris & Manny Adams) vs. Total Control (Hunter Wolfe & Scott Seal) w/ Squeeky Slim

I think the heels will win this one, with the help of Squeeky Slim.

SWF Women’s Championship Four-Way Dance

K.A. Kathy vs. Mai-Li Kato vs. Cassidy Gilmour-Hart vs. ‘The African Warrior Princess’ Dana Mokoena

Any one of these women could take it here, but I'll take Mai-Li here.

SWF Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal

Featuring: The Warrior, Guruhi, Monsoon, ‘The Soul Man’ Lamar Drake, The Highlights, Total Control and the two runners-up from the semi-finals of the SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament

The Warrior seems like he'd be the most fun as champion.

MAIN EVENT

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final

Jack Power vs King Edward

Powermania runs wild, at least until The Warrior challenges him to a champion vs champion match.

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Final

‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor vs. King Edward w/ Queen Jessica

The second semi-final winner will face the winner from the previous match at a chance to make history.

SWF Tag Team Championship Match

The Highlights (Tom Paris & Manny Adams) vs. Total Control (Hunter Wolfe & Scott Seal) w/ Squeeky Slim

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Final

‘The Immortal’ Jack Power vs. ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis w/ Christina

The first match in SWF history was the best of the night as two of the brightest stars went at it for a chance to get to the main event.

A good, even affair saw the model eye gouge and back rake for the duration in an attempt to get the upper hand. His manager, Christina even resorted to distracting the referee to allow more underhanded tactics.

After about 15 minutes the immortal one ‘Powered Up’ and and with the rally of the crowd was able to hit the Freedom Slam to advance.

Winner: ‘The Immortal’ Jack Power

Rating: D

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Final

‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor vs. King Edward w/ Queen Jessica

The crowd were still pumped as ‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor made his way to the ring followed by King Edward.

The let-down of this match was the noticeable lack of chemistry between The King and his Queen, Jessica. The two just didn’t as a pairing and at times it seemed rather awkward.

O’Conner was rallying the crowd with flailing fists and looked to signal his patented Celtic Cross but out of nowhere Caleb Adonis returned to the ring. Adonis looked outraged that he lost in the previous match and was trying to get the referees attention to withdraw the call he made in the last match.

With the referee distracted, King Edward hit the rowdy one with his crown and covered just in time for the referee to turn back round for the three-count.

O’Connor gets back to his feet and looks irate he sees Caleb Adonis who now has gone into a fit of fear and scarpers to the back, O’Connor hot on his heels.

Winner: King Edward

The results for the semi-finals are in and we are now shown a graphic hyping tonight’s main event. ‘The Immortal’ Jack Power will face King Edward for the SWF World Heavyweight Championship!

SWF Tag Team Championship Match

The Highlights (Tom Paris & Manny Adams) vs. Total Control (Hunter Wolfe & Scott Seal) w/ Squeeky Slim

Some jive music hits and the crowd boo the sight of Squeeky Slim with his tandem Total Control consisting of Hunter Wolfe and Scott Seal. After a short gyrate in the ring, in front of his all-business clients, Slim grabs a microphone and states that tonight the fans will witness the finest team in professional wrestling.

Just then, some rock and roll music hits and out comes Tom Paris and Manny Adams to the sound of screaming from the female fans. The Highlights rush to the ring and the match is underway.

A good technical display with some controlled mat work from Wolfe and Seal and some quick, pacey offence from Paris and Adams saw the fans enthralled for around 10 minutes.

There was little to separate the two teams as it ended with Squeeky Slim getting involved by hanging his diamond encrusted cane near the turnbuckle, this allowed Hunter Wolfe to Irish Whip Manny Adams shoulder first into it then schoolboy him for the cover.

The first champions of SWF are crowned.

Winners and NEW SWF Tag Team Champions: Total Control

Rating: E+

As Manny Adams is helped to the back by an official and his partner, Tom Paris, Total Control are stood in the ring with Squeeky Slim, they declare themselves as officially the very best tag team in the world and if we thought they were good tonight, this was only a sign of things to come. Squeeky seemed elated with his own dirty work.

SWF Women’s Championship Four-Way Dance

K.A. Kathy vs. Mai-Li Kato vs. Cassidy Gilmour-Hart vs. ‘The African Warrior Princess’ Dana Mokoena

The women of the SWF show their ability in the ring and the fans wouldn’t have been disappointed.

All four women displayed their individual styles and it made for a memorable bout.

The monster Dana set out to completely out-strengthen every opponent and took care of Cassidy Gilmour-Hart after a few minutes by throwing her out of the ring. K.A. Kathy and Mai-Li Kato were going at it while this happened and Kato was thrown into the Kenyan monster, knocking her through the ropes.

While the two women argued either side of the ropes, Kathy turned Kato around and hit her with a jaw-shattering Superkick.

Dana couldn't stop the count as Cassidy Gilmour-Hart got back to her feet and got tangled up with her long enough for Kathy to get the three on Kato and become the first ever SWL Women’s Champion.

Winner and NEW SWF Women’s Champion: K.A. Kathy

We cut backstage; Caleb Adonis is standing with Christina looking very pleased with themselves after costing Rory O’Connor his match in the SWF World Heavyweight Championship Semi-Final. Adonis lets Rowdy Rory know that he caused him his match earlier to become the SWF World Heavyweight Champion and he will do it again next for the SWF Intercontinental Championship.

Rating: D-

In another part of the backstage area stands ‘The Rowdy One’ himself, he heard everything Caleb Adonis had to say and declares that in the battle royal he will get his own back on the model and in an odd way, he is almost pleased that he was cost his match because now he has another excuse to fight, this time it will be Adonis in his radar.

Rating: E+

In a third backstage area, The Warrior is standing with his back to the camera his is pumping his arms up and down above his head while telling us that tonight he has the opportunity to throw nine other SWF Superstars over the top rope. Nine beatings, nine casualties, nine weaker men will fail on his quest to become the SWF Intercontinental Champion. The heavens have spoken to him and tonight he will prove to fulfil his destiny!

SWF Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal

Featuring: ‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor, ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis, The Warrior, Guruhi, Monsoon, ‘The Soul Man’ Lamar Drake, The Highlights and Total Control.

The bell rang and chaos ensued. Practically everyone went straight for the two monsters; Guruhi and Monsoon, everyone except for Rowdy Rory who jumped straight onto Caleb Adonis to the fans delight.

As things separated, the two big men looked to dominate, Monsoon eliminated a still weakened Manny Adams and Scott Seal, while Guruhi took care of Hunter Wolfe and Tom Paris.

Guruhi was about to move onto Lamar Drake but was stopped in his tracks by The Warrior, two shoulder tackles and the fans were shocked to see Guruhi topple over the top rope.

Meanwhile, Monsoon disposed of ‘The Soul Man’ Lamar Drake, leaving only four men left in the ring. Christina planted a bag of powder in the corner of the ring and subtly informed Caleb Adonis. While Rory was following the model over, Christina jumped on the apron grabbing his attention.

Adonis grabbed the bag, took out the powder and threw it... inadvertently into Christina's face! Rory, who ducked the throw, jumped back up to the fans delight of his quick thinking and toppled Caleb while he was still stunned by his error. The fans were overjoyed at the sight of Caleb Adonis being chased by a fuming Christina to the back.

Rory, still smiling took his eye off the huge Monsoon however and was knocked over the top. A slightly sour moment for him but he still looked very pleased with himself.

Monsoon is now left in the ring with The Warrior, the fans are going crazy and chanting Warrior’s name. The two men step as close to toe-to-toe as they can get but Monsoons sheer girth prevents this.

Warrior looks up at his opponent in an effort to get eye contact; neither man will flinch from intimidation that much is clear. They go at it, right hands each and Warrior speed gets the better, he runs for a shoulder tackle but crashes into nothing more than a brick wall.

This doesn't look good for Warrior, as Monsoon laughs to himself knowing it is only a matter of time, he does for a shoulder tackle of his own charges at The Warrior but he drops, pulling the top rope with him! Monsoon can’t stop himself and goes hurtling over the rope! The fans go crazy as the thunderous music hits and The Warrior is left holding the SWF Intercontinental Championship!

Winner and NEW SWF Intercontinental Champion: The Warrior

Rating: E+

King Edward is standing backstage with Queen Jessica who is caressing the golden crown. The King informs Jack Power that tonight he will not only be wearing gold on his head but also around his waist as he will become the SWF World Heavyweight Champion.

In another backstage area, ‘The Immortal’ Jack Power gives a truly tantalising promo about the main event. With the help of his little ‘Power-aides’ he will make King Edward cower to the might of the Power!

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final

‘The Immortal’ Jack Power vs. King Edward

The one everyone had been waiting for. King Edward made his way to the ring first accompanied by Queen Jessica and a chorus of “boo’s” from the fans. This was promptly stopped and replaced with wild cheers as Jack Power made his way to the ring. Getting the crowd involved from the get go, Jack showed his strength over the King with a series of victorious tests of strength. King Edward needed to change his game plan; he wasn’t beating the Power that way. He opted for one more which Power was happy to oblige to but a quick thumb to the eye stopped Jack from getting the better this time. Just like that the tide shifted and the King continued a barrage of attacks while Queen Jessica was aggravating the fans further, shrieking in delight at her king.

Things were looking no better for Power as he couldn’t find a way in, King Edward refused to give him an inch and was looking more confident as time went on. He signalled for his patented Double-Ax handle Smash he dubs The Crowning Achievement but was stopped in his tracks… Power was back on his feet! The fans were going wild, Jack Power was ‘Powering Up’! Edward was throwing rights and lefts but nothing was effective. Power looked at the fans and the confirmed it was time, Power threw a right and left of his own and dazed the King before setting up the Freedom Slam! 1.. 2.. 3 we have our first ever SWF World Heavyweight Champion!

Gah, too slow to get in with predictions. I'll give the show a proper read-through later, but in general I like the vibe you've got going on here and your takes on some of the characters. Total Control remind me a lot of The Machines in the C-Verse (although less over) and naturally, I can't help but look at Guruhi w/ The Deer Stalker and think of Kamala w/ Kimchee/Wippleman. :D

Really enjoyable first show, Fox. Very easy to read, and for a show that length the lack of pictures doesn't really matter (for really long shows they can be helpful for breaking up the text, if nothing else). In fact, it probably looks cleaner without than it would with anything but small images.

Shame about the chemistry note between Jess and King Ed, as they'd make a good pairing otherwise. Rather than seeing Total Control as The Machines, my immediate thought from The Highlights was The Rockers - albeit with slightly better hair and less bright colours :D

Missed the predictions but I'll definitely be posting some next time around. :)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Glad to know people are enjoying it. I lost two show write ups so have spent all night tonight writing those back up so didn't spend much actual game time this evening. Bank holiday this weekend at least so might get an extra hour or two.

I'm glad you're able to make the familiar links with Kamala and the rockers, (as glaring as I made the, :D) I am being ridiculously shameless with the likeliness to some RW guys but it makes it much easier to write ha. The lazy mans way is often the best way.

Hope you can both take part in the next one, preview will hopefully be up tomorrow if not the day after, I want one more show written up first so I am constantly 2-3 ahead.

Anyway yeah again, cheers for the praise.

SWF Insider News:

Monday, Week 1, February 2013

Strong reports are telling us that Queen Jessica (real name Jessica Thunder) has been released from her contract after only one appearance. A mixture of not reporting well on the show alongside King Edward and also not proving herself to be very popular backstage is what lead to the termination of her contract.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j145/richard_fox/ThunderVerse%20-%20SWF/DanaBurr_zps94013cd6.jpg

It appears that she has been replaced by Dana Burr, who will be taking the name Lady Eleanor and will be alongside King Edward as soon as the next show.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j145/richard_fox/ThunderVerse%20-%20SWF/Jezebelle_zps250635eb.jpg

On top of this, in an effort to attract a younger audience (as well as the male audience) a young lady by the name of Jezebelle has been hired, she will be taking the role of Tom Paris and Manny Adams’ manager as a party chick and go by the name Belle Young. She will be pulling double duty however as she will also be used for backstage interview segments. We believe that the SWF are looking to make their announce team more diverse.

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Match

‘The Immortal’ Jack Power © vs. Guruhi

An impressive performance in the Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal has earned Guruhi a shot at the SWF World Heavyweight Championship against ‘The Immortal’ Jack Power. Will Power’s title reign end before it has begun or can he overcome the Congolese monster?

Singles Match

‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor vs. ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis w/ Christina

In a match made immediately after January’s show, ‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor will take on ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis. In January, they wreaked havoc on each other and they will come to clash in the middle of the ring.

SWF Intercontinental Championship Match

The Warrior © vs. Monsoon w/ Hassan Al-Sharani

We saw a glimpse of what could have been in January as The Warrior and Monsoon were the last two in the Battle Royal. It was the quick feet and quicker thinking of The Warrior that gave him the win. In a one-on-one match however, going over the top rope doesn’t end a match and Monsoon will be craving to get his own back and win the title.

SWF Tag Team Championship Match

Total Control (Hunter Wolfe & Scott Seal) w/ Squeeky Slim © vs. The Highlights (Tom Paris & Manny Adams) w/ Belle Young

A re-match for the SWF Tag Team Championship was put in place after the SWF committee viewed replays of Squeeky Slim’s deplorable actions with his diamond cane, costing The Highlights a chance at a fair match for the gold. The Highlights now have a manager of their own in Belle Young and look to settle the score.

SWF Women’s Number 1 Contender Match

‘The African Warrior Princess’ Dana Mokoena vs. Cassidy Gilmour-Hart

Dana Mokoena seeks revenge on Cassidy Gilmore-Hart as she feels Hart cost her the chance to break the pin that lead to K.A. Kathy becoming the SWF Women’s Champion. Cassidy is determined to live up to her family legacy and will stop at nothing to make the leap to become Women’s Champion.

Singles Match

King Edward w/ Lady Eleanor vs. ‘The Soul Man’ Lamar Drake

Still reeling from his defeat and missing out on the SWF World Heavyweight Championship, the King looks to dish out revenge on ‘The Soul Man’. Drake on the other hand had a decent run in the battle royal and has gone on record to state that his fun run in the SWF hasn’t even started and will show King Edward a whole new groove.

Quick Picks:

'The Immortal' Jack Power vs. Guruhi w/ The Deer Stalker

‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor vs. ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis w/ Christina

The Warrior vs. Monsoon w/ Hassan Al-Sharani

Total Control (Hunter Wolfe & Scott Seal) w/ Squeeky Slim vs. The Highlights (Tom Paris & Manny Adams) w/ Belle Young

‘The African Warrior Princess’ Dana Mokoena vs. Cassidy Gilmour-Hart

King Edward w/ Lady Eleanor vs. ‘The Soul Man’ Lamar Drake

OOC: Jessica Thunder was shocking backstage and the lack of chemistry with King Edward left me with really having no use for her. I'm hoping Lady Eleanor will be able to take her place, as we are still in the embryonic phase I think it will be ok to get away with this.

Belle Young will be used as a manager for the highlights as I saw her and immediately thought they could work well. As I use her more, I am hoping she can get a little over and I may be able to use her backstage.

Looks like a great card, but is there any chance of a quick picks form next time? It's a bit of a pain deleting the thoughts to replace them with my own! :D Good job on signing Dana and Jezzebelle. Dana Burr, in particular, could become a star (particularly if you play up her relationship with Rudy Single).

SWF World Heavyweight Championship Match

‘The Immortal’ Jack Power © vs. Guruhi

Should be an interesting match, but I think a first title defence for Power will end in a victory.

‘Rowdy’ Rory O’Connor vs. ‘The Model’ Caleb Adonis w/ Christina

Could go either way really, but I think a sneaky victory for Adonis evens the odds and sets up a third match, perhaps a gimmick match?

SWF Intercontinental Championship Match

The Warrior © vs. Monsoon w/ Hassan Al-Sharani

You've said you were a fan of Warrior so I think that like the main event this will be a champion victory. Perhaps by DQ in order to emphasise the danger of Monsoon and Al-Sharani...

SWF Tag Team Championship Match

Total Control (Hunter Wolfe & Scott Seal) w/ Squeeky Slim © vs. The Highlights (Tom Paris & Manny Adams) w/ Belle Young

For two reasons - I've picked champions each time and three champions winning might be a bit odd, and because I like the Highlights! DQ finish means Control retain the titles for a bit longer.

SWF Women’s Number 1 Contender Match

‘The African Warrior Princess’ Dana Mokoena vs. Cassidy Gilmour-Hart

Both have a chance, but I think Dana's power might just tip the balance.

King Edward w/ Lady Eleanor vs. ‘The Soul Man’ Lamar Drake

Edward is a favourite of mine, and he's also a little further up the ladder at this point in my opinion.

SWF Tag Team Championship Match

‘The African Warrior Princess’ Dana Mokoena vs. Cassidy Gilmour-Hart

With a face champion I see The African Warrior Princess emerging triumphant here.
