[Effverse: NRFPT] Am I ready for Prime Time?

Roster Moves:

New Signings:

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6533/evfpblackmale014.jpg

Laurence Bédard

Age: 18

Heel, Cocky Youth

Style: Regular wrestler

Size: Light Heavyweight

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Strong

Entertainment and On Camera: Average

Face: Average, Heel: Strong

Bédard was brought in to fill my roster as with him on the board I now have 20 male wrestlers, 10 faces and 10 heels. The reason why Bédard instead of someone else is partly because he´s Canadian (remember that I might change company at some point) because one of my goals is to great a good start for AI in case that I choose to go somewhere else and since AI won´t sign anyone outside of promotions home area I rather sign Canadians than say Americans because even if AI let them leave it could at least sign them back later on and also because it feels little bit like cheating to me considering that AI isn´t able to do the same (not that it would really stop me as my next signing proves, just that if I can choose between Canadian and someone else I´m more likely to go with Canadian as long as I work in Canadian promotion). Another reason is that Bédard is first ever graduate from Canadian Independent Wrestling Circuit whose head trainer is Claude Loiselle (my road agent). Besides there isn´t any other job opportunities for Bédard so it was better to sign him now rather than later when he likely would had developed some ring rust.

Yumako Ekiguchi

Age: 19

Face, Happy-Go-Lucky

Style: Entertainer

Size: Very Small

In Ring and Performance: Strong

Physical: Strong

Entertainment and On Camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Weak

I obviously have a big need of more workers in my women division so I didn´t waste any time signing Ekiguchi when she became available even though she will add another negative to my backstage thanks to language barrier. Ekiguchi actually looks rather good prospect with strong/strong on in ring/Physical so she might become valuable asset to women division though at the start she will play second fiddle to Demers and Bruce.

- TPW again signs a graduate to contract, this time it´s Jay Acid. Age: 19, Style: Entertainer, Size; Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average.

- Empire Championship Wrestling (ECW), based on UK, size small, opens. With mainstream as key feature I see hard time building overness for anyone so I´m not interested to swap there from GCW. I would have applied if I already wouldn´t have a job though.

- Shinsuke won CSW Windy City title (midcard singles belt) from Warhammer. This is the third title reign for Shinsuke as he´s current CSW tag champ (WITH Warhammer :p) and also former TPW United States champion. Warhammer only managed one successful defense before dropping the belt.

- WotW continues to sign anyone they can and they newest signing is Masayoshi Nakane. Age: 20, Style: Psychopath, Size; Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Joe Boone died, apparently because of drug use. He was 86 at the time of his dead.

- And the we have another dead just two days later as Gideon The Luchadore dies in road traffic accident. Gideon was 30 years old as the time of his dead and had been working in TPW since the game started.

- Killer Smile (better known as GLEE or Wicked) and Floyd Lauzon won OPW Wrestling Warriors (Floating tag belts) titles thus becoming the first ever tag champs in OPW.

- At the end of the month ECW still doesn´t have owner. Hopefully they will find one soon but if not then I have two possible options. I can edit some English wrestlers as potential owners or I could just kill the promotion. Not sure which way I will go but I certainly won´t leave it just hanging there so if no owner is found after few months I will do something about it.

So THAT'S how Gideon dies in your game...... why does he die from a traffic accident for you but for me, he gets struck by lightning twice? oh well, so long Gideon!

That´s bad luck for Gideon, if he died in your save too, maybe he should be renamed Kenny The Luchadore? :p I have Kenny dead´s turned off by default, which is why pretty much everyone will die either in car accitend or because of drugs.

Interesting to see that Battle Axe didn't take over ECW. It's usually the case.

I was wondering that too, maybe game thought that with Battle Axe being in both TPW and OPW he just had too much going on to own a UK based promotion? Anyway, I have actually already simmed the next two months and ECW is still without an owner and so is DUW. Since I like to have at least one active promotion in each area, I guess I just have to edit some guys as possible owners and hope one of them takes the lead.

GCW Sole Survivor

Twin Elm Park (Ontario)

Attendance: 971

1 vs. 1

http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/4212/cvmjfpmaskedm004.jpg vs. http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/733/cvmjfpblackmale008.jpg

Carl Cooper vs. Blaize Bergeron

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Karl Cooper defeated Blaize Bergeron in 6:09 by pinfall with a Closed Fist Strike. Rating: E-

Another win for Cooper and another loss to Bergeron as they are going on different directions as far as push goes.

1 vs. 1

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4701/evfpwhitemale010.jpg vs. http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/5190/cvmjfpwhitemale094.jpg

Austen Michel vs. Harvey Kipp

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Austen Michel defeated Harvey Kipp in 5:13 by submission with a Death Grip. Rating: F+

Little bit of a random match just to get everyone on the card. Michel gets a win since he´s midcard guy while Kipp lost any change for any kind of push once I found out that he doesn´t have stamina to go over six minutes. There was lack of psychology note here even though this only did go for five minutes.

ANGLE:

http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/4308/cvmjfpwhitefemale020.jpg

Linette Bruce cuts a promo promising to continue to be a fighting champion and to take anyone who wish to challenge her for the title and because of that she has agreed to defend her title against newcomer Yumako Ekiguchi tonight. Rating: E-

Just standard promo for Bruce and also giving reason for any possible future signing on women division getting a title match right from the start just to keep things little more fresh.

1 vs. 1 for GCW Women´s title

http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/3860/genericwomens01.jpg

http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/4308/cvmjfpwhitefemale020.jpg vs. http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1083/freeasianfemale006.jpg

Linette Bruce vs. Yumako Ekiguchi

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Linette Bruce defeated Yumako Ekiguchi in 7:53 by submission with a Spinning Toe Hold. Linette Bruce makes defence number 3 of her GCW Womens title. Rating: F+

Bruce gets another win over her belt while Ekiguchi gets some in-ring time to shake out any possible ring rust she might have. This did go for eight minutes again in order to test psychology. There wasn´t any lack of psychology notes and there was a good chemistry between these two but still, this was the worst women match so far. Is it because it´s face vs. face or does Ekiguchi has ring rust? Also that good chemistry note is little bit wasted as neither girl cannot play heel.

1 vs. 1

http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/334/cvfpwhitemale025.jpg vs. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2756/freewhitemale014.jpg

George Hudson vs. Roland Landry

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Rolando Landry defeated George Hudson in 5:22 by pinfall with a Jumping Knee Plant. Rating: F+

Giving the boss man a win here as I´m pretty unsure right now if I should push him or keep him on undercard in order to avoid his ego getting any bigger than what it already is. So far Landry´s match ratings doesn´t support a main event level push but I´m not sure how much on that is because I screwed his first few match (and his momentum) by putting him against other faces.

Four way dance for Maple Leaf title

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/3821/genericworldjnrheavyalt.jpg

http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2995/freewhitemale034.jpg vs. http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/7990/evfpwhitemale070.jpg vs. http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/1460/cvmjfpmaskedm020.jpg vs. http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/3024/cvmjfpblackmale014.jpg

Harvey Burkman vs. Leonore Turcotte vs. Garlan Roberts vs. Austin Murdock

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Harvey Burkman defeated Austin Murdoch, Garlan Robert and Leonore Turcotte in 7:46 when Harvey Burkman defeated Leonore Turcotte by pinfall with a Power Bodyslam. Harvey Burkman makes defence number 2 of his GCW Maple Leaf title. Rating: E-

There´s no storylines currently involving the lesser titles so I figure that best way to keep them in a view is to have them being defended quite often. Hopefully that will raise the prestige a little bit since match rating sure as hell aren´t helping any.

1 vs. 1

http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/9650/cvfpwhitefemale015.jpg vs. http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/3158/cvmjfpblackfemale002.jpg

Darci Cloudier vs. Madalene Demers

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Madalene Demers defeated Darci Cloutier in 8:20 by submission with a Crossface. Rating: E+

This is basically the same match than in February and for the same reason too. Demers get some overness while Cloudier continue to be the jobber for women division. Also like the other women match on this card, this one was also a test match too and like the other one this was successful too. And really? E+ rating from heel vs. heel match? I have no idea how they managed to get that rating but I take it for sure.

1 vs. 1

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3972/cvmjfpmaskedm029.jpg vs. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/1451/cvmjfpwhitemale066.jpg

Bill Criss vs. Quint Bertrand

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Bill Criss defeated Quint Bertrand in 6:02 by pinfall with a Fallaway Slam. Rating: E-

Criss gets another win, this time over jobber boy Bertrand.

ANGLE:

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3972/cvmjfpmaskedm029.jpghttp://img855.imageshack.us/img855/4212/cvmjfpmaskedm004.jpg

After the match Carl Cooper comes from backstage and announces that he´s coming after Criss because dark powers have told him in his dreams that he should test the best that GCW has to offer and despite his failure to get into tournament finals, Criss is one of the main champions of the light. Criss does seem more confused than anything about all this but eventually he just ignore Cooper´s odd behavior and tells Cooper to come into ring and have a fight right now. Cooper declares that now isn´t the time but when the time will be right, he will personally make an example out of Criss and show the world that no one can stand against the darkness and survive. Rating: E

Just starting another storyline with angle as Cooper and Criss are two or my top guys (Or at least I hope they will be) and so it makes perfect sense to pair them up and see if they could help each other´s to rise on the top.

2 vs. 2 for the CGW Tag Team titles

http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/2824/generictag03.jpg

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/8868/evfpwhitemale050.jpg & http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/1091/cvmjfpblackannouncerm00.jpg vs. http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6533/evfpblackmale014.jpg & http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/904/evfpwhitemale081.jpg

Show Time (Loyal Caron & Raul York) vs. Laurence Bédard & Sauville Caron

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Show Time defeated Sauville Caron and Laurence Bédard in 7:53 when Raul York defeated Sauville Caron by pinfall with a Full Nelson Slam. Show Time make defence number 3 of their GCW Tag Team titles. Rating: E-

Giving another title defense for Show Time while also continuing to test possible tag team combinations.Sadly no positive chemistry here either so let’s put this pairing on the ”maybe” category.

1 vs. 1 Finals of GCW Canadian Champion tournament

http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/2739/genericcanadian.jpg

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/649/cvmjfpwhitemale097.jpg vs. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1618/cvmjfpmaskedm015.jpg

Mario Nash vs. Leo Orton

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Leo Orton defeated Mario Nash in 6:06 by pinfall with a Thrust Kick. Leo Orton wins the GCW Canadian Champion title. Rating: E

Orton got the title here because so far he has been my best male wrestler by far margin. Originally I thought that Nash would be my first champ but me screwing his first match and thus giving him bad momentum kind of threw that plan out of the window. Nice to see this one getting an E rating as they will continue to feud for now.

ANGLE:

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/649/cvmjfpwhitemale097.jpghttp://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1618/cvmjfpmaskedm015.jpg

Nash isn´t satisfied with the end result and attacks Orton right after their match from behind, beating him down quite badly before officials finally manage to get him to leave. Rating: E-

The tournament might be over but Nash will be Orton´s first challenger and this starts/continues their feud (I fix the tournament feud to include just Nash and Orton so basically the tournament is counted in on their feud even though they didn´t clash swords before this show).

Show Rating: E

Comments: Best show so far and though the bar isn´t exactly high it´s still reassuring to see little bit progress.

Never mind this. I looked about possible owners in UK and there are already 5 potential owners alongside Battle Axe (not including Herzog and Henry since they are dead). Australia has four potential owners including Self too so no point making more of them. Wonder why no-one takes control on ECW or DUW then?

I will give both promotions some time to find owner but if no-one comes around then I will just shut them down and hope that next promotion that comes in the same area actually finds owner.

- WotW´s tour is over and so Shinsuke leaves the promotion now that he´s touring contract is over.

- Phillip Allessio enters wrestling (Graduating from Dog Pound). The reason I put it here is that he´s regen of Joe Boone and thus worth following. Right now he´s just average everywhere though.

- There just was a news item that Shinsuke might be leaving TPW as he´s contract is up and TPW isn´t going to renew it. No idea why since he´s upper midcard guy, is one of the more skilled in-ring guys and doesn´t have negative relationship with anyone but has a positive one since he´s dating Foxy Faye. He´s just 25 years old too so he certainly isn´t declining either. Odd move from the AI.

- There´s some bad blood between CSW and OPW and so they have hostile relationship for now on. Little surprised it happened this early as there isn´t any regional battles going on currently.

- Jose Cabrera becomes the new Campéon de Crucero GLLM (floating singes belt) champion as he defeats former champion Leonardo Marcos. Marcos managed just three successful defenses before dropping the belt.

- Another title change happened in GLLM this month as Eugenio Herrera became the new GLLM Wrestling Spirit (low level singles belt) champion after pinning former champ Federico Soler. Soler had 6 successful defenses before dropping the belt.

GCW Lost Cause

Twin Elm Park (Ontario)

Attendance: 1000

2 vs. 2

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3972/cvmjfpmaskedm029.jpg & http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4701/evfpwhitemale010.jpg vs. http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/4212/cvmjfpmaskedm004.jpg & http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/904/evfpwhitemale081.jpg

Bill Criss & Austen Michel vs. Karl Cooper & Sauville Caron

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Karl Cooper and Sauville Caron defeated Bill Criss and Austen Michel in 6:07 when Karl Cooper defeated Austen Michel by pinfall after using a foreign object. Rating: E-

Typical feud continuing match from me, Cooper gets a dirty win in order to give Criss reason to want to fight Cooper again as so far he had little reason to clash swords with him. Their partners where more or less random picks, but basically Michel was creditable name who I didn´t mind getting a tag loss while I wanted to give Caron a win but didn´t have place for him to go over in singles match.

1 vs. 1

http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/733/cvmjfpblackmale008.jpg vs. http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6533/evfpblackmale014.jpg

Blaize Bergeron vs. Laurence Bédard

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Laurence Bédard defeated Blaize Bergeron in 5:40 by pinfall. Rating: F

Bergeron continues his jobber duty while Bédard still has a shot to become something more (though this match certainly didn´t help him) and that´s why he got a win here.

ANGLE:

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1618/cvmjfpmaskedm015.jpg

Orton cuts a promo about Nash´s attack against him last month saying that he isn´t forgetting it but this month he needs to concentrate on another foe, namely Garlan Roberts who is challenging him for the Canadian Champion title. Rating: E-

Standard promo to keep the Orton/Nash feud alive as they aren´t scheduled to clash tonight.

1 vs. 1

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/649/cvmjfpwhitemale097.jpg vs. http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/7990/evfpwhitemale070.jpg

Mario Nash vs. Leonore Turcotte

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Mario Nash defeated Leonore Turcotte in 5:28 by pinfall with a High Knee. Rating: E-

Nash lost all his overness thanks to his loss to Orton so this was here to give him back some of the lost overness.

ANGLE:

http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/649/cvmjfpwhitemale097.jpg

Nash isn´t done and destroys Turcotte after their match, screaming that he will make an example out from Turcotte. Rating: E

Just using Nash´s menace again in vain hope to get him little bit more over.

1 vs. 1

http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/3024/cvmjfpblackmale014.jpg vs. http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/334/cvfpwhitemale025.jpg

Austin Murdock vs. George Hudson

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Austin Murdoch defeated George Hudson in 8:04 by pinfall with a Running Face-Plant. Rating: F+

Just wanted to give Murdock another win to keep him as semi-big thread while Hudson is on his way out. I also forgot that Hudson couldn´t go more than six minutes which hurt the match rating.

1 vs. 1 for GCW Maple Leaf title

http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/3821/genericworldjnrheavyalt.jpg

http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2756/freewhitemale014.jpg vs. http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2995/freewhitemale034.jpg

Rolando Landry vs. Harvey Burkman

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Harvey Burkman defeated Rolando Landry in 6:09 by pinfall with a Power Bodyslam. Harvey Burkman makes defence number 3 of his GCW Maple Leaf title. Rating: F+

Again, with nothing much going on with lesser titles I figure that best way to keep them on view is to have them defended often. Landry doesn´t seem to catch a break with me as every time he gets a win or two he ends up losing next month. The problem with him is that he just isn´t high enough priority right now so all I can do is to keep him close to fifty-fifty win-loss record. Perhaps he would benefit being in a tag team with someone who is one same situation? Landry and Burkman had great chemistry as opponents which makes me wonder how horrible this match would have been without that good chemistry?

2 vs. 2 for the CGW Tag Team titles

http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/2824/generictag03.jpg

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/8868/evfpwhitemale050.jpg & http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/1091/cvmjfpblackannouncerm00.jpg vs. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/1451/cvmjfpwhitemale066.jpg & http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/5190/cvmjfpwhitemale094.jpg

Show Time (Loyal Caron & Raul York) vs. Quint Bertrand & Harvey Kipp

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Show Time defeated Quint Bertrand and Harvey Kipp in 6:21 when Raul York defeated Harvey Kipp by pinfall with a Full Nelson Slam. Show Time make defence number 4 of their GCW Tag Team titles. Rating: E

Another tag title defense against random pairing. The tag division is pretty much non-existent at this point especially since I decided to drop Mayhem (Quint Bertrand & George Hudson) after Hudson developed a negative relationship with Orton and thus sealed his fate in GCW. This means that Bertrand is singles guy again though I try to find another tag team for him.

2 vs. 2

http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/9650/cvfpwhitefemale015.jpg & http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/3158/cvmjfpblackfemale002.jpg vs. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/4308/cvmjfpwhitefemale020.jpg & http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1083/freeasianfemale006.jpg

Darci Cloudier & Madalene Demers vs. Linette Bruce & Yumako Ekiguchi

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Madalene Demers and Darci Cloutier defeated Yumako Ekiguchi and Linette Bruce in 8:17 when Madalene Demers defeated Yumako Ekiguchi by submission with a Crossface. Rating: E

With Women being the most consistent performers I have by long shot I figured that I might as well but them in the semi-main event here. Heels got the win since they aren´t likely to go over Bruce in singles matches just yet (since those will likely be with the title on line). Demers and Cloudier doesn´t work well as a team.

1 vs. 1 for the GCW Canadian Champion belt

http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/2739/genericcanadian.jpg

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/1460/cvmjfpmaskedm020.jpg vs. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1618/cvmjfpmaskedm015.jpg

Garlan Roberts vs. Leo Orton

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Leo Orton defeated Garlan Robert in 6:30 by pinfall with a Thrust Kick. Leo Orton makes defence number 1 of his GCW Canadian Champion title. Rating: E

Pretty much a standard title defense for Orton as Roberts isn´t all that creditable challenger but right now only few guys are and I like to keep them strong so Roberts got the first dip as title contender.

Show rating: E

Comments: Few backstage relationships have developed as Leo Orton and George Hudson are now enemies while Darci Cloudier and Harvey Burkman are dating. Hudson developing negative relationship with Orton solves the question whatever I keep him or not and the answer will be no.

June 1981

- Down Under Wrestling (DUW, Australian, Size: small, key feature: Mainstream) is founded in Australia but it doesn´t have owner either. Hope it finds some as I already have ECW without an owner.

- WotW continues to sign Japanese talent as newcomer Takuma Komatsu gets contract just week after he entered wrestling. Age: 19, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size; Big Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.

- GLLM seems to have full roster now as they didn´t sign a debuting guy so only WotW are still looking wreslers on active promotions others are happy about their current roster at least as far as male wrestlers go.

- Micah Stark (Jay Synn in TPW) becomes the new CSW Championship title holder (their main belt) after defeating Douglas Bryson. Bryson managed 8 successful defenses before dropping the belt.

- OPW had a huge loss this month as Battle Axe quit on them after argument. He worked for them since January 1981.

- GLLM also had a quitting drama on the same day than OPW as Leonardo Marcos left them. Marcos worker for GLLM since October 1980. Marcos was their former Campéon de Crucero GLLM champion and he lost the belt just last month.

- OPW signed Big Brobaros, Age: 26, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Big Heavyweight, In Ring: Average, Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and On Camera: Average, face: strong, Heel: Average to replace Battle Axe. Brobados also works for TPW where he´s a midcard guy.

- TPW falls to regional size and as a result they fire most of their dojo graduates leaving only Jay Acid to their roster. The guys who got the axe where: Leo Orton, Paris Young, Nathan Tanner, Samuel Gibson and Jose Slater. Of those guys Gibson and Slater are now unemployed, Orton works for me, Young is in CSW while Tanner works for OPW.

<em>This was mainly here to test Landry and Michel as possible tag team as I decided it´s time to do something about the tag division and neither guy isn´t doing much on their own. Also because of similar reason Caron and Bédard got teamed up as I already tested their chemistry in one of the earlier shows and thus know they have neutral chemistry, which basically is good enough for me. Brutal Attack got the win here mainly because current tag champs are faces. Neutral chemistry for Landry and Michel so they are official tag team for now on.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Raul York defeated Quint Bertrand in 8:18 by pinfall with a Full Nelson Slam. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rating: E-</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Just giving York a win as he isn´t defending his tag title this month. Also this is another psychology test since according my notes I haven´t yet tested these two. Surprisingly good rating considering that the test failed once again.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Karl Cooper defeated Loyal Caron in 5:46 by pinfall with a Closed Fist Strike. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rating: E</span></p><p>

</p><p><em>

Cooper gets a win over creditable opponent in hope to build him up a little bit. Caron wasn´t going to defend his tag title tonight since I already had two other tag matches on the card and with match lengths being around six minutes all the time I just don´t have enough guys to run multiple tag matches on single card.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In an absolutely wretched bout that was devoid of action or heat, Bill Criss defeated Harvey Kipp in 4:34 by pinfall with a Fallaway Slam. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rating: F+</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>This can be labeled as filler match to give Criss a win. Other admittedly other than storyline, semi and main event matches, most matches that I book can be labeled the same way so nothing new here.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Cooper comes to ringside and tells Criss that the dark forces have spoken in his dreams and in next month they will face one-on-one on this very ring. Criss accepts the challenge looking ready to fight. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rating: E+</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>At first I planned to have these two meet this month in singles match, but with this being a storyline and all I figured it would deserve either semi main event or main event spot and with Orton vs. Nash tag match and that four way women match already taking those spots I decided to move their clash to next month. </em></p><p><em>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Garlan Robert defeated Blaize Bergeron and Leonore Turcotte in 5:47 when Garlan Robert defeated Leonore Turcotte by pinfall with a Top Rope Clothesline.<span style="text-decoration:underline;"> Rating: E-</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>This was basically rest of the roster match as I just put together the three guys that weren´t already scheduled to wrestle elsewhere. Roberts got the win since he´s only one who isn´t complete jobber though he has been kind of lost into shuffle so far.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Mario Nash & Harvey Burkman vs. Leo Orton & Austin Murdock</p><p> </p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Mario Nash and Harvey Burkman defeated Austin Murdoch and Leo Orton in 8:21 when Mario Nash defeated Austin Murdoch by pinfall with a High Knee. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rating: E</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>This match was mainly here to give Nash a win over Orton as he isn´t going to win a singles match against him because those will be with title on the line and because Orton just won the title he isn´t going to drop it in his first feud. Murdock was here because I hoped that he could teach some psychology to others while Burkman simply is a creditable heel who didn´t have anything else to do this time and who could well get a random title shot against Orton later on.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Nash continues to attack Orton after the match and beats him down badly before officials finally manage to separate him from Orton. Rating: E</p><p> </p><p>

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Linette Bruce defeated Darci Cloutier, Yumako Ekiguchi and Madalene Demers in 7:57 when Linette Bruce defeated Darci Cloutier by submission with a Spinning Toe Hold. Linette Bruce makes defence number 4 of her GCW Womens title. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rating: E+</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Ok so this is admittedly just me trying to get the best possible rating and with women being the best in ring performers it makes sense to have them close the show. </em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Show Rating: E</p><p> </p><p>

Comments: Best show so far and also the first time I didn´t lose overness, which is likely just because it has already dropped quite badly from where I started but still. Also it was only second time when one of my matches got E+ rating. On current top 10 matches seven are women division matches and best men´s match is Leo Orton defeating Mario Nash two months ago and that´s number six on the list. Any questions about who my top talents are? George Hudson provoked a heated argument with Mario Nash so I fired Hudson because he´s backstage cancer anyway. Hudson hates me now but that´s ok since I won´t ever sign him again anyway and Mario Nash is now loyal to me, thus giving me a much needed boost on backstage atmosphere. </p></div><p></p><p></p>

George Hudson</p><p>

Entertainment and On camera: Strong</p><p>

Face: Weak, Heel: Strong</p><p>

Record in GCW: 0 - 0 - 6</p><p>

Hudson was a backstage cancer in the first place and has negative relationship with Leo Orton at top of that so when he started argument with Nash it was easy decision to fire him right at the spot. Be happy on the unemployment list Hudson. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

New Signings:</p><p> </p><p>

Face: Average, Heel: Strong</p><p>

Needed to bring someone to replace Hudson and with only Canadian wrestler available being guy who is backstage cancer, has weak psychical skills and has same alt than Blaze Bergeron, I decided to pass and look elsewhere. Well I didn´t need to look for long as Alessio is regen of Joe Boone and if he will become half as good than Boone then he is going to be a big name one day. Alessio was also unemployed so better pick him up so that he can develop.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/6864/28ij.jpg</span></p><p>

Adelicia Garner</p><p>

Age: 19</p><p>

Size: Small</p><p>

In Ring and Performance: Average</p><p>

Physical: Average</p><p>

Entertainment and On camera: Average</p><p>

Face: Strong, Heel: Strong</p><p>

Garner was signed at start of July but I include her here so I don´t have to make another roster post just for her. Not much to say other than she helps fill my women division up and is another negative backstage influence and thus unlikely to get pushed past jobber role.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>July 1981</p><p> </p><p>

- Battle Axe finally takes control of ECW. Good thing it happened too as I was really starting to fear that I have to close it down just because no-one wants to own it. Now, if someone would gain control of DUW then everything would be in order again.</p><p> </p><p>

- Brad Griffin, 35 years old Road agent from England takes the head booker position of ECW.</p><p> </p><p>

- ECW hold their first show. Unfortunately it was only rated E- and that was bad enough to drop ECW to local size. Hope they can claw back up soon.</p><p> </p><p>

- Howard Alexander becomes first ever ECW British Champion (their main belt) after defeating Scott Swick in mighty F rated main event (explains why the show was so bad).</p><p> </p><p>

- Jason Murphy (who looks a lot like Leo Orton since they share the same alt) wins ECW Rising Star belt (midcard singles belt)</p><p> </p><p>

- Jared Christison and Adam Jones becomes the first ever ECW Tag Team title holders (floating belt).</p><p> </p><p>

- Here´s ECW´s full roster, they signed every active male wrestler who are based on UK area (again they signed none of the European wrestlers who would ahve been available too). <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>NOTE: I decided to drop my post match comments. This is mainly because while I thought at the start that explaining why I book matches certain way might be interesting (and something I would love to see more in other diaries), in reality I´m just booking on the fly with no forward planning and because of that way too many matches ended up being random filler matches with no good reasoning. In all honestly, right now I´m more interested to see how the world develops than booking GCW shows so anyone who wants to read quality shows with lots of interesting storylines that have planned months in advance should look elsewhere. Then again, I have never been known for quality shows or great storylines (or much forward planning) to begin with so guess it´s really nothing new. </p><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Comments: Another mediocre show and honestly I don´t see things getting much better anytime soon. I´m little frustrated about the low grades and non-existent popularity levels at the moment but the good thing is that things will get better from here. I´m likely going to move away at GCW as soon as another decent looking opportunity opens since as much as it pains me to admit, AI is lot better at handling the current situation in GCW than what I am so they should actually be better once I move to somewhere else. What that something else is depend about where promotions will open (head booker firings are unlikely as AI is pretty good at handling regional or lower promotions so only open jobs will likely be from the new promotions) but basically I look to jump into promotion that is on the area where there already is an open promotion. This way I know I can have at least few guys who don´t suffer ring rust and thus could have decent matches right away which should lead to better momentum ratings than what I got with GCW´s roster. Also having workers work in two different promotions should help them develop faster which should again help match ratings and hopefully eases overness gains too. Still, right now I´m still leading GCW and I would at least like to make sure that some of the guys who I picked to be main eventers would actually get that role and the only way to assure this is to make sure that they are the ones with most overness.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Comments: Not sure how we managed to steal an E rating out of this with main event being only E- but I take it especially with all the problems I have currently (mainly about lack of overness gains and everyone´s inability to keep what little overness they have gained. Trust me, you won´t want to hear me whining about it). Speaking of problems, with Laundry and Bédard being enemies now, my backstage raging dropped to 54%. I would really love to bring it up but the problem is that I have no replacement for most of the backstage cancers. The persons with bad backstage attitude are Rolando Laundry (owner), Curtiss Dubé (only colour guy I could have), Adalicia Garner (no replacement for women division as only non-signed who is available is Psychopath and thus blocked by owner goal), Darci Cloudier (ditto), Harvey Burkman (who I could replace but since he´s dating Cloudier he basically cancels his own negative bonus), Yumako Ekiguchi (language barrier and again no replacement available plus he´s also positive influence thanks to her personality) and Laurence Bédard (who I could fire but what´s the point, it won´t get my rating up enough to make any difference). So basically I´m stuck with bad backstage rating for now. I did disband Brutal Attack (Laurence Bédard & Sauville Caron) because Bédard won´t be resigned and I figured it´s better to search a new partner for Sauville right away even though Bédard still has 18 months left on his contract (though I could let him go earlier depending on how things go). Since Sauville and Garon didn´t have bad chemistry I will team them up. Hopefully they stick together longer than few months.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Comments: Not much news here, again women had the match of the night and guys fail to get much done. At least the main event delivered decent rating though it cost me some overness as Orton got one point (3 -> 4) while Burkman lost four points (4 -> 0). This seems to be the running theme right now and it makes really hard to gain overness as is evident from the fact that I have exactly two wrestlers who have overness above 4 and they are both females. Also, it looks that Loyal Caron has something horrible wrong on him as this is a second time he loses overness after winning a tag match. Not sure what´s the case there but guess I won´t be pushing him then. Also on more funnier note, Quint Bertrand had found an odd way to annoy me as first he had good tag chemistry with George Hudson and now with Laurence Bédard… Why on earth you can´t have good chemistry with someone who isn´t negative backstage presence and who actually has a change to stay in the company?????</p></div><p></p><p></p>

I laughed out loud so hard when I read this.... can't say, maybe he just doesn't like you Zerg......maybe Bertrand just doesn't like you.....

Now why wouldn´t he like me? He has a very good win/loss record of 1 win and 10 losses and is pretty much the low man on the totem pole. I just don´t see how he could be unhappy. :p

October 1981

- I decided to turn new wrestler generation to high. I´m actually fairly happy about how it is currently but I need more guys once more promotions start to arrive so that there could be at least some differences on rosters.

- Akahito Aizawa becomes new WotW #1 Contender title holder after defeating former champion Tadayuki Ichisada. Ichisada managed 11 successful defenses before dropping the belt.

- ECW signs Beverly Esch for their women division. Now we just need to wait for them to get a second girl on their roster so that she can actually do something there. Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size; Small, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong

- DUW drops to local size. More importantly they still have no owner. I´m going to give them time to end of this year and if they don´t have an owner by then, I´m just going to kill the promotion, which would be a shame but on my opinion, it´s better than having no owner at all.

- Sagahige Shimetzu becomes new WotW Heavyweight champion after defeating Yoshi MG for the belt. Yoshi MG managed 11 successful defenses before dropping the belt.

- TPW rise back to cult status.

Comments: I´m so pleased on those two E+ matches that it´s almost pathetic (Wait, forgot that almost, it is pathetic :o) but really, I have pretty much forgot how nice it´s to have good enough match that even losers could gain overness as everyone participating on the main event got two points of overness and that finally pushed Orton and Criss to F level popularity. Of course they likely drop back next month but it really feels like success after struggling to get any male wrestler past 4 points of overness. :p Demers also continues to deliver and she is clearly my MVP and most over performer (he has mighty 8 points of overness) right now. To be honest I would love to have someone else than owner of other company as my top star but beggars can´t be choosers.

November 1981

- Kinetic Energy of NEW Kinetic Attitude of Japan or KENKA Japan for short (size: local, Key Feature: Comedy) is the newest debuting promotion. They don´t yet have owner but if they found one I might be interested… Then again I´m not good at booking funny shows and my current style to write this diary would be pretty bad fit to them so I probably pass.

- KENKA isn´t the only new promotion as Lucha de México or LUCHA (size: local, Key Features: Traditional and Lucha Libre) as I will call them now one opens as well with Lucas Navarro (20 years old wrestlers) as an owner. I´m going to skip them too simply because I´m not comfortable booking in Mexico as I know nothing of their wrestling culture.

- The addition of second companies in Mexico and Japan this early makes me believe that I made a mistake by lowering the new worker frequency to medium at the end of 1980. You see, there are exactly two wrestlers in both Japan and Mexico who currently aren´t employed which of course means that rosters will be pretty similar between the companies in the same area. While I have nothing against it and think it might even help as the guys would develop faster with more work, it will become problem if two promotions go to war. I will keep close eye about the situation and up the worker generation if needed but right now I intend to leave the worker generation to high and just hope that no wars develop in the next year or so.

- WotW tour ends and thus Gardiner Fortin and Jim Hall leave the company as their touring contracts end.

- TPW got a pay-per-view carrier thus solidifying their position of number one promotion in the world.

- Shinsuke will go to tour with WotW. This is a second time he appears on their tour.

- Merker Eriksen and Reidar Martin, collectively known as Pin Point, won the vacant PoG tag titles.

- Jose Soto, 39 year old road agent, becomes the head booker of LUCHA.

- Jose Cabrera becomes the first champion in LUCHA´s history winning Megacampeonato the LUCHA (their main event singles belt) in LUCHA´s first show. This is the third belt Cabrera holds at the moment as he also is current Campeón de Crucero GLLM (singles, floating) and Campeón Mundial de Tercias GLLM (trios, floating) Champion. Cabrera is fast becoming one of the best known stars in Mexico (E popularity in West Central Mexico and F elsewhere) so it´s no surprise that LUCHA decided to give their main belt to him.

- Overkill (Running Boot and VooDude) becomes new OPW Wrestling Warrior (tag title, floating) when they defeated former champions The One Percenters (Killer Smile and Floyd Layzon). One Percenters managed only two successful title defenses during their reign.

Here is LUCHA´s roster at the end of November, I only listed overness for the guys who has more than F- in LUCHA´s home area (South Eastern Mexico):

Active Wrestlers:

- Benito Montero, Age: 21, Style: Luchador, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.

- Diego Dominquez, Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Eduardo Medina, Age: 21, Style: Luchador, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Weak, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average.

- Eugenio Herrera, Age: 22, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Light heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.

- Federico Soler, Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Strong, Face: Strong, Heel: average

- Hellbringer Age: 32, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Strong, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong. Overness In South Eastern Mexico: E

- Juan Blanco, Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Strong, Face: Strong, Heel: Average. Overness In South Eastern Mexico: F

- Leonardo Marcos, Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Strong, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Luchas Navarro, Age: 20, Style: Brawler, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong, owner.

- Marcos Reyes, Age: 22, Style: Brawler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Weak.

- Martin Gonzalez, Age: 19, Style: Luchador, Size: Small, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Rafael Ramirez, Age: 20, Style: Luchador, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong. Overness In South Eastern Mexico: F

- Raul Suarez, Age: 21, Style: Luchador, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

Non-Wrestlers:

- Alvaro Santos, Age: 21, Announcer

- Celestino Lope Primo, Age: 36, Colour Commentator

- Eva Moya, Age: 20, Announcer

- Jose Soto, Age: 40, Road Agent, Head Booker

- Lorenzo Arias, Age: 29, Road Agent

- Pedro Ramos, Age: 20, Referee

- Tomas Lopez, Age: 21, Referee

- Unsurprisingly most of these guys also work in GLLM as Alvaro Santos, Eva Moya, Jose Soto, Leonardo Marcos, Lucas Navarro and Pedro Ramos are the only ones who don´t work in GLLM and even on those Marcos did work for GLLM until quitting because of payment dispute. LUCHA also slightly benefit from the fact that most of their stars are from GLLM as few of their guys actually start with some overness, which should help them to gain better ratings from the beginning.

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Roster Moves:</p><p> </p><p>

New Signings:</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8317/iliv.jpg</span></p><p>

Paris Young</p><p>

Age: 22</p><p>

Heel, Biker</p><p>

Style: Cruiserweight</p><p>

Size: Middleweight</p><p>

In Ring: Average</p><p>

Performance: Strong</p><p>

Physical: Strong</p><p>

Entertainment and On camera: Average</p><p>

Face: Weak, Heel: Average</p><p>

I decided to bring few new faces around for next year and Young is one of the three guys who catch my attention. Young is former TPW “star” having been in the company between February 1980 and June 1981. He has also worked in CSW since July 1980 so he had have plenty of ring time compared to other candidates and hopefully that means that he´s more ready article than other guys I could sign. Right now the plan is to include Young on my midcard and pair him with Philip Alessio to form second heel tag team in order to give me four strong teams. Let´s just hope that they a) don´t have bad chemistry and b) they don´t piss the boss off. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/8627/vpga.jpg</span></p><p>

Patrick Freebush</p><p>

Age: 19</p><p>

Face, Blue Collar</p><p>

Style: Cruiserweight</p><p>

Size: Middleweight</p><p>

In Ring and Performance: Average</p><p>

Physical: Average</p><p>

Entertainment and On camera: Average</p><p>

Face: Strong, Heel: Strong</p><p>

Freebush is another one of Titan Factory graduates but unlike most of them he wasn´t even signed to TPW at all. Since Freebush just graduated this month (December 1981) this is his first shot to glory (or at least regular job). I brought him in to be face jobber but we see how he does.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/632/werq.jpg</span></p><p>

Rainger Desjardins</p><p>

Age: 20</p><p>

Heel, Arrogant Heel</p><p>

Style: Regular Wrestler</p><p>

Size: Light Heavyweight</p><p>

In Ring and Performance: Average</p><p>

Physical: Strong</p><p>

Entertainment and On camera: Average</p><p>

Face: Strong, Heel: Strong</p><p>

Like Freebush, Desjardins graduated just this month and was instantly brought in as heel jobber. He´s another negative influence for my backstage so don´t expect him to last that long unless he performs well, but at least he gets little bit experience under his belt and you never know, he might actually turn out to be something more than just another jobber.</p></div><p></p><p></p>
