Roster Moves:

New Signings:

Corey Crash

Age: 22

Face

Style: Regular Wrestler

Size: Lightweight

In Ring and Performance: Strong

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Strong

Didn´t really mean to go another hiring spree but when I realized that there where trio of women wrestlers who had become available I decided to hire them and also add another two guys on the roster just to help me a little bit in a case of schedule clash and also because frankly, at least some of the Australian guys need to work somewhere and other than touring WotW they have nowhere else to go. Crash might be someone with future in GWE too (at least as long as I stay here) thanks to his strong in-ring skills and he had some decent matches during the end of his WotW tour stint. Still right now he´s just brought in as extra body but I keep an eye on his match ratings and if he delivers then he might get a spot higher on the card.

Andre Nielson

Age: 19

Heel

Style: Regular Wrestler

Size: Lightweight

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Average, Heel: Strong

Unlike Crash or Batch Brothers who all had a tour in WotW before coming here, Nielson haven´t worked anywhere until now and since he debuted in June 1980 that means that he will have ring rust too (there is no independence scene yet either since there aren´t enough guys to run shows). This will mean that his match ratings will suck and likely lead to bad momentum too. That´s ok though since Nielson was only brought to job anyway and the plan is to only keep him here for a year or two before letting him go. I also hope that he´s stay with us help him later down on his career once Australia actually gets promotion that has owner too as he should be valuable asset then thanks to the experience he gains here.

Constanza Carrasco

Age: 23

Face

Style: Psychopath

Size: Small

In Ring and Performance: Strong

Physical: Strong

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Average

There´s still not much choices regarding women division but at least now I will have decent amount of bodies there. From the trio of girls hired, Carrasco looks to be most promising, stat wise but I have already learned that it won´t necessarily be the case so let´s wait and see if Carrasco manages to be as good as her ratings suggest. The one bad thing about her is that she is bad backstage influence and that might slightly limit her push.

http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/1732/s6u5.jpg

Clara Iglesias

Age: 20

Heel

Style: Luchador

Size: Small

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Strong

Face: Average, Heel: Average

Like other two girls, Clara was simply brought in to bolster my women division and right now I honestly don´t have much to say about her. She like the two other will have ring rust again so expect bad rating from first 3 – 4 matches but after that it´s time to evaluate how good she actually is.

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3995/pyo4.jpg

Alma Fullington

Age: 20

Face

Style: Cruiserweight

Size: Small

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Average

Alma is another Australian who finds work in GWE though this time it´´ just coincidence as there wasn´t much to choose from. Like other new girl, Fullington gets little time to work out her ring rust before I start evaluating where she will be in terms of push.

http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/315/bjah.jpg

Erling Lindberg

Age: 20

Colour Commentator

Since I was bringing in talent anyway, I decided to add Lindberg to the roster too in order to test him out. The plan is that Lindberg would take Costa´s spot as colour commentator in order to help my backstage rating that has fallen to 56% (it was actually little lower than that earlier) and Costa, being extremely negative backstage presence, is one of the key reasons why it is so low. However Lindberg has weak rating on both Entertainment and Announcement so I´m not sure if he´s any good as colour guy and because of that I have decided to currently place him as third guy on the announcing team to test him out, before I make the final decision about whatever I will keep Costa or not.

Guys Leaving:

Valeraine Quellet

To be brutally honest Quellet wasn´t a big loss to me (especially since I could sign other girls to replace the spot she left) as she barely had started her career and thus I didn´t really have much idea about her yet. Still, it´s shame to lose one of the few women wrestlers in the world to random event and Quellet would likely have had a good career in Europe.

August 1982

- Another new promotion is born, this time Shinsuke founds Ultimate Brainbuster Purosy (BRAINBUSTER or UBBP) in Kinki, Japan. The company is Regional sized and it has Modern as key feature while Realism is also featured heavily.

- WotW tour ends again and this means that guys on touring contract (Gardiner Fortin, Jim Hall, Corey Crash and Adam Nevada) are released. This will also vacate WotW tag titles since Jim Hall was one half of tag team champs.

- PoG signs Rafael Filho to contract. Filho already works with PoG (and would have worked with me too if there wasn´t that no spot monkeys owner goal) so he´s another talent who gets to work at least in two different companies. Age: 20, Style: Spot Monkey, Size; Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong. Funnily enough Filho was signed to replace Oscar Halvarsson who was the guy I signed instead of Filho after I found out that owner goal blocked him. Small world, huh?

- WotW starts to sign guys for the new tour, here´s everyone they signed this time:

- Jose Slater, Age: 19, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size; Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average. Slater worked in TPW for a little time after graduating from Titan dojo in October 1980 but sadly like so many other prospects he was cut few months later, more precisely on June 1981 and has been out of work ever since.

- Ryan Varelans, Age: 23, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size; Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong. Varelans is from New Zealand and so this is obviously his first shot in any company. At least WotW is doing good job on giving all those Australians guys something to do while they wait for a promotion to open in Australia.

- Samuel Gibson, Age: 22, Style: Entertainer, Size; Middleweight, In Ring: Average, Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong. Gibson is another former Titan Factory graduate (not that it´s anything new, there has been 24 graduates since January 1980, which is exactly same number of graduates than all the other dojos have combined) and also worked in TPW between December 1980 and June 1981. Like Slater, Gibson haven´t managed to find work elsewhere since getting cut.

- Looking at the dojos there is another new dojo in the world. This time the new dojo is World of Fighters, which is based in Europe and emphasis brawling. Austyn Vincent and Thiago Goes are the first two graduates and both graduated just this month.

- FFA signs debuting women wrestler Fumiyo Inoue to bolster their women scene. Age: 18, Style: Brawler, Size; Small, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average.

- NLE signs both World of Fighter graduates to contract. Austyn Vincent, Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size; Super Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average and Thiago Goes, Age: 18, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size; Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and Camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average.

Again, here is UBBP´s starting roster as it was at the end of this month:

Active Wrestlers:

- Akinori Chikamatsu, Age: 18, Style: Brawler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Weak.

- Hidekazu Kuwabara, Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Strong, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Kazu Li, Age: 19, Style: Entertainer, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Weak, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Kazu Momotami, Age: 18, Style: Puroresu Style, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Weak

- Kobo Kondo, Age: 21, Style: Brawler, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average.

- Kosaku Shiga, Age: 19, Style: Puroresu Style, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Weak, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong, F popularity in Kinki (BRAINBUSTER home area).

- Morie Ko, Age: 19, Style: Enterteiner, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong.

- Shigetake Akaike, Age: 23, Style: Japanese Junior, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Weak, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong.

- Shinsuke, Age: 26, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Lightweight, Rumble: Average, Technical: Average, High Flying: Strong, Performance: Strong, Physical: Very Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Very Strong, Heel: Strong, E+ popularity in Japan, Owner.

- Takamasa Kimio, Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong.

- Tarozaemon Matsuya, Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.

- Washichi Koshin, Age: 20, Style: Entertainer, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.

Non wrestlers:

- Denbe Kenkyusha, age: 21, referee

- Kei Ugaki, Age: 35, Road Agent

- Shigetoki Ki, Age: 20, Announcer

- Yo Toyotomi, Age: 18, Colour Commentator

- Yoichibei Kurmochi, Age: 18, Colour Commentator

- Main thing to note here is that they didn´t sign anyone who was already working for both WotW and FFA so guess those guys won´t accept extra bookings. This also limited UBBP´s starting roster pretty badly as they only have 12 active wrestlers at this point and they had signed everyone who isn´t in both WotW and FFA. Still, that should be enough for them to hold shows and as touring promotion they can always sign foreign talent on touring contracts so they should be able to hold shows and that´s pretty much all I care right now and at least the current situation in Japan means that any new wrestlers are likely to find a job there which is nice since it helps them develop.

Comments: Decent show but multi-man main event didn´t deliver as well as I hoped. Still it´s not that bad and we still gained overness. Massimo Costa made a mean spirited prank on Harold Batch before the show started. I gave him a riot act and will likely drop him before his contract ends if he continues doing so. Only saving grade for him was that Harold Batch is another backstage cancer, if it would have been someone I actually plan to keep I would have fired Costa already.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>NOTE: if someone reads the earlier shows and wonders why some pictures are missing that´s because for some reason they don´t show properly despite still showing in my ImageShack account and having the same link than before. Not sure what causes this but it´s pretty frequent problem with ImageShack and as far as I know, only cure is to upload the pictures again on ImageShack. Unfortunately this means that any picture that has the old link won´t work. Sorry about that.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

September 1982</p><p> </p><p>

- UBBP hold their first show which got an E rating. That´s ok rating to start things up and promises good things for them, once they get their roster worries shorted out.</p><p> </p><p>

- Kosaku Shiga becomes the first ever UBBP Universal champion (their main belt). This is already second title reign for Shiga who just debuted in April 1982 as he is former WotW tag team champion with Jim Hall.</p><p> </p><p>

- Tarozaemon Matsuya becomes first UBBP Television (midcard singles belt) champion.</p><p> </p><p>

- Shigemori Shibagushi and Masayoshi Nakane won the vacant WotW tag titles. The titles where vacated after Jim Hall left the company once he´s touring contract ended.</p><p> </p><p>

- UBBP National Tag Team belts (midcard belt) founded their first owners as Kazu Li and Shigetaka Akaike becomes the tag team champs. </p><p> </p><p>

- Douglas Martin wins the ECW British Championship belt from Adam Jones. Though Jones will go down history books as third man who carried the belt, he´s the first real champ they had as previous title holders Howard Alexander and Scott Swick only had month long reigns. Martin managed 11 successful title defenses and hold the belt for a full year.</p><p> </p><p>

- Chad McQueen bails out from ECW after payment dispute. McQueen had worked with ECW since July 1981 and had a record of 7 – 1 – 4 during his stay. </p><p> </p><p>

- ECW signs rookie Frank Ward to replace Chad McQueen. Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong. Ward debuted in April this year and this is his first job opportunity.</p><p> </p><p>

- Special Edition (Garlan Roberts & Sauville Caron) won GCW tag team titles from Show Time (Raul York & Loyal Caron). Show Time managed 14 successful defenses before dropping the belts. Little surprised Caron got the belt as he and owner Rolando Landry have developed strong dislike on each other´s since I left.</p><p> </p><p>

- On fun notes, I just saw a news item that stated that Clyde Stanley is forming political alliances in ECW and that he´s master of doing company politics. All fine so far but when you look at him, he´s currently enchantment talent with record of 1 win, 1 draw and 13 losses and he´s only relationship is strong dislike with ECW owner Battle Axe. If this guy is master at backstage politics then I guess it doesn´t pay off all that well. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Comments: Lots of bad chemistry notes from this show. First, Swick and Crash had zero chemistry as partners, then Carlsson and Antzas didn´t click at all and on top of that Hill and Michel had bad chemistry as well. Oh well, can´t really complain when I have two good chemistries between my five tag teams (New Blood and Silent Rage both have good chemistries) as well as two good opponent chemistries (Carlsson and Fyssas + Rua and Martin). </p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>October 1982</p><p> </p><p>

- TPW signs Titan Factory graduate Garner Peak to contract. Age: 20, Style: Brawler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

- Tarozaemon Matsuya didn´t get to hold the UBBP Television title for long as he lost it to Washichi Koshin just month after getting the title. He managed to get single successful defense before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Fun Fact: TPW and CFW hold event on same date. That´s nothing special of course but they both had named their event exactly the same. What are the odds for that? Oh and the name that those companies used? No More Mr. Nice Guy.</p><p> </p><p>

- NLE continues to sign all available talent that they could. Newest signing is Emilio Morales. Age: 18, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

- Unsurprisingly UBBP bolstered their roster by signing newly debuted Sadakuno Okamura to p.p.a contract. Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment: Strong, Face: Strong, Heel: Weak.</p><p> </p><p>

- Nobuyoshi Okano & Kosaku Shiga won WotW Tag Titles from Burning Fury (Shigemori Shibagushi and Masayoshi Nakane). Burning Fury managed only one successful defense before dropping the tag belts. Not sure why this particular pair won the titles when there are six actual tag teams in the company. Even odder is that Okano is in one of those tag teams so why have him win with Shiga instead of his tag partner Utaemon Matokai?</p><p> </p><p>

- Linette Bruce started her second reign as GCW Womens champion when she defeated Madalene Demers. Demers managed to get 9 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Jerry DeVille becomes the new OPW Nationwide champion after defeating Running Boot. Running Boot managed 10 successful defenses and had held the belt since February 1981.</p>

Comments: Basic show, let undercard to what they can and trust Esch to save the show. Nothing new here really other than Alicia Moreno winning the Women title and that was done because of the simple reason that she have got better ratings out from her matches than Dagmar Johannessen who seems to be little too green to hold the belt at this point of her career.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>November 1982</p><p> </p><p>

- WotW ends its current tour and that means that Ryan Varelans, Samuel Gibson and Jose Slater are leaving the company. From those three Gibson managed to gather enough popularity to rise into F level in Shikoku while the two others still have F-. Will be interesting to see if that extra overness will help Gibson secure another touring contract in the future.</p><p> </p><p>

- By the way there is now regional battle in Kanto between WotW, UBBP and FFA with WotW winning, following by UBBP and FFA keeping the rear. This might lead into hostile relations between the three companies but hopefully not in war as currently the Japanese talent base aren´t enough to support three companies with pretty much every available talent working in two different companies.</p><p> </p><p>

- Foxy Faye is the first person in the world to win one title three different times as she won the TPW Women´s title for a third time defeating former champion Orchid in E rated match. Orchid managed to get 10 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Kazu Momotami quits from UBBP after argument with the upper management. He had 11 wins and 7 losses in his short UBBP career (started in August 1982). With UBBP already having shortage of guys they could sign, this surely won´t help them at all.</p><p> </p><p>

- Reto Anderhub becomes the new PoG Heavyweight champion defeating former champion Andrzej Ilic. Ilic managed to get 13 successful defenses before dropping the belt he held ever since PoG´s first show back in September 1981. </p><p> </p><p>

- WotW is gearing up for another tour and as usual sign some international talent to bolster their roster. Here are the guys that got the touring contracts this time:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">- Jesse Batch. Age: 22, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average. As you know Batch works for me at the moment and this is his second time in WotW having been there back in February - May 1982. Batch has F+ overness in WotW home area after his last stint there so I´m not surprised that they wanted to bring him back for another tour.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Jay Acid, Age: 20, Style: Entertainer, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average. This is first time for Acid in Japan and first time he found a job since August 1981 when he was cut from TPW´s roster. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Paul Ryland, Age: 23 Style: Technician, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Weak. Ryland is another one of those Australian wrestlers who have started to look job outside of Australia.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Melvin Lane, Age: 20, Style: Spot Monkey, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Weak. Yet another Australian guy.</div><p></p><p> </p><p>

- WotW also signed Morie Ko to p.p.a deal. Age: 19, Style: Entertainer, Size: Light Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong. Ko also works in UBBP where he´s currently upper midcard guy.</p><p> </p><p>

- Jerry DeVille didn´t get a long OPW Nationwide title run as he lost his title on his first defense just month after getting the title. The new champion is Moore Correira.</p><p> </p><p>

- UBBP National Tag titles changed hands and the new champions are Tarozaemon Matsuya and Kodo Kondo. The former title holders Kazu Li & Shigetaka Akaike only managed to get one successful defense before dropping the belts.</p>

Hey Zerg, how are the original workers doing? Specifically D.Bone, Herc, and Hellbringer.

I´m little bit ahead on what I have posted (currently in January 1983) and I plan to do similar company review that last year and post the awards and top 25 so some of the information about the other original workers are going to be found little later.

Daniel Bone is currently holding both TPW World Heavyweight and OPW God of Wrestling belts so he´s double champion and obviosly still working in both companies. He´s also Young wrestler of the year in 1982 but lost the wrestler of the year award to Herc. Bone is still second in power 500 though so he´s doing quite well.

Herc is not only wrestler of the year second time in three years but also won the tag team of the year award with AJ Allstot second time in three years as well. Herc works in both TPW and CSW and is CSW´s current main champ while also holding CSW Tag titles with Shinsuke.

Hellbringer is by far the most over guy in Mexico having D+ overness in West Central Mexico and E+ everywhere else (next most over guys have E+ in West Cetral and F everywhere else). He´s only title run so far is GLLM trios belt that he holds with Jose Cabrera and Raul Suarez. Hellbringer did well in top 500 too being 8th with only TPW main eventers and Hiroji Irie being ahead of him on the rankings. The next best Mexican was Juan Blanco who was 17th.

Most of the other originals work at least somewhere but Flying Claw, Hugh Jass and SKREEM are currently unemployed. Gidean The Luchadore died back in 1981.

Comments: Melker Eriksen decided to make himself nuisance once again. this time he provoked and then attacked Massimo Costa. I read him a riot act this time as its fourth time he gets into trouble. I´m really starting to wonder if I just should cut him and have Reidar Martin going solo, Martin could do well in my main event/upper midcard scene on his own but I hate to break my top heel tag team just because of it… Oh well, guess I won´t react yet but Eriksen isn´t helping his cause at all.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>December 1982</p><p> </p><p>

- TPW signs two graduates to contract. First one is Minnie Savage, Age: 19, Style: Brawler, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Weak. Savage is first women wrestler debuting in USA for three years and so should have good career just because American companies don´t have anyone else to sign either (though to be fair she seems to have good stats too).</p><p> </p><p>

- Second graduate that TPW signed is Leonard Quarry, Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

- Leon Vidal becomes the new Campeón de Crucero GLLM champion after defeating former champion Jose Cabrera. Cabrera managed to get 11 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Rolando Landry walks out from CFW after argument with Black. Interesting to see if this leads to hostile relationship with CFW and GCW now that their owners have strong dislike on each other´s.</p><p> </p><p>

- UBBP bolster their roster for their next show by signing Australian wrestler Ron Davis to touring contract. Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average.</p><p> </p><p>

- ECW signed debuting rookie Vanessa Florian to help their women division. Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Small, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

- UBBP signed pair of rookies to bolster their roster. Hikozaemon Toyama, Age: 20, Style: Japanese Junior, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong.</p><p> </p><p>

- Second signee by UBBP is Yahei? Kawano (and yes, that question mark is in his name in-game) Age: 20, Style: Cruiserweight, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on-camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Weak.</p><p> </p><p>

- Daniel Bone starts his first TPW World Heavyweight title reign by defeating former champion Terry Titan. Titan had 12 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- There´s contract negations time in OPW and like many other promotions who have had those lately (GLLM, WotW and GCW) they seem to set to keep most of their guys. However Nelson Maverick is set to leave after his contract runs out. Maverick worked for OPW for two years (since January 1981) but he didn´t have any title runs during his time in there. </p><p> </p><p>

- Shigemori Shibaguchi becomes the new FFA Young Lion champion when he defeated Nobuyoshi Okano for the title. Okano had 8 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Yet another title change as Gustavo Michel ended Telemachus Fyssas PoG National title run after 13 defenses. This is the first time National title change hands in PoG.</p><p> </p><p>

- Paris Young ended Leo Orton´s title run with GCW Canadian title. Orton had held the belt ever since May 1981 and had 15 successful defenses before dropping the belt. Guess Young didn´t become tag team guy like I planned when I signed him but he´s doing alright. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

- Another title change in GCW too as Austin Murdock drops he´s GCW Maple Leaf title to Roel Beaulieu. Murdock had 10 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Two news considering GWE on the same date. First Massimo Costa and Jesse Batch are now enemies and secondly Jesse Batch is dating Alma Fullington. Coincidence? Likely but you never know <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. I decided to fire Costa on the spot as he´s bad backstage presence and I had signed Lindberg to replace him anyway.</p><p> </p><p>

- Motoyasu Makino begins his first WotW #1 Contender title reign when he defeats former champion Tatsuzo Kawazu. Kawazu had 10 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Rafael Ramirez won Campeón Mundial de Completo GLLM title (their main belt) for second time. Former champion Juan Blanco had a year long reign and managed to defend the belt 11 times before losing it to the same guy he won the belt to begin with.</p>

Yeah, so I decided to fire him year early now that he generated negative relationship with Jesse Batch on top of his usual backstage antics. Firing Costa raised my backstage atmosphere from 55% to 60%. On the minus side he´s developed strong dislike to me so guess I won´t be hiring him in the future, not that I miss him or anything but there are quite limited number of Colour Commentators available.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Instead of making just the preview on GWE I decided to make a yearly preview for all the promotions in the world, mainly because how the world develops is what interest me most with this mod (versus my normal palying style where I don´t much care what AI does) and frankly I figure anyone who reads this probably find it more interesting that my show writings. </p><p> </p><p>

NOTE: The grade after each workers name is their overness in promotion´s home area. The exception to that rule is TPW where worker´s overness is the average overness in USA (This is because TPW is the only promotion with TV deal). </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Not much changes on top of the roster and it´s no surprise that the six main event guys are the 6 top guys in power 500 as well. Lower end of the roster changed a lot though with Running Boot, Flying Claw, The Halloweenie and Nelson Maverick leaving and bunch of Titan Factory graduates coming on their place. The problem seem to be that none of those computer generated guys haven´t got any overness, actually pretty much no-one haven´t gained any overness in TPW at all and that will become a problem for them in the future. Most of TPW shows either got D+ or C- ratings with two getting C rating too but also two misses with E+ and D- rated shows.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Not much changed in OPW´s roster with only Nathal Tanner leaving during the year. No idea why Sara Tonen is the only one they have in Women division. Maybe other women aren´t willing to sign with them since they already work in TPW and CSW? Daniel Bone is having a really long title reign as he have held the OPW God Of Wrestling belt since January 1981. OPW Nationwide title seems to be bit of an afterthought with Brad Youngblood and Jerry Deville both having month long reign with the title, in fact only Running Boot had a decent run with it. No idea why AI feels that floating belt needs to be on lower end guys all the time? Tag titles are another complete waste of space as those titles have been defended six times in two years. Like with TPW none of the generated guys haven´t gained any overness. That´s something that bothers me a lot in the current American scene and I will try to take the booker position on one of those companies to see if I could figure out what the problem is there. OPW mostly produced C- to C rated shows during the year with occasional miss (one D- and one D+ rated show) getting into mix. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The main problem for CFW is obviously the same that I had with GCW, namely that other than Black, no-one haven´t gained any overness. With CFW being much more popularity over performance promotion, the lack of popularity really hurts them though it doesn´t show that much on the and show ratings as they frequently get E rated shows and sometimes better if Black is in main or semi-main event. The roster looks pretty familiar since most of those guys worked in GCW too. To be honest there isn´t that much to choose from in Canada so it´s not surprising but still it´s actually nice to see those guys who I worked with in GCW getting change to shine elsewhere too. The head booker position is currently vacant but that isn´t a big surprise since to my experience head booker cannot be young lion and with most guys in the game world still being on their early 20´s there just isn´t that many bookers at the moment. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

As I predicted when I left GCW, AI indeed did better job than I did as when I left only Criss and Orton had overness above F- and no 10 different guys are above that level. Overall GCW seems to be doing fine now and they seem to have lots of help from their American imports (Leo Orton, Raul York and Paris Young among others). It´s also nice to find out that the same guys I trusted are still mostly close to top with Cooper and Orton being the two biggest names. Guys like Quint Bertrand and Leonore Turcotte seems to be doing lot better under AI than what they did under me too. Show ratings have been between E to D- during this year with last five shows scoring at least E+ so they are definitely doing better now that over a year ago.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

GLLM continues to do well with several guys raising their overness during the year and few new additions where doing well too as guys like Leon Vidal, Fernando Calvo and Lucas Navarro where added to roster just this year. Rating wise GLLM scored D to D+ ratings with the exception of January´s show that only scored D-. Looking at last year´s ratings they are clearly going forward and despite their low ranging in company wars, I see them as one of the best promotions in the world currently and wouldn´t be surprised if they become a power house promotion in the future. The tag division is once again overlooked by the computer as their tag titles are still vacant.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

WotW continues to be the best promotion in the world and once American promotions lose some of those more over guys they have, I believe that Japanese promotions will start to dominate the wrestling world as it just looks like AI is handling the usual Japanese product much better than the American ones. Special mention should go to Hiroji Irie who has managed to climb all the way to D+ overness in just little over two years. Oddly enough Irie don´t have a single title run so far but I´m sure that will change in the future. WotW´s shows have gotten ratings everywhere between E+ to C- but generally the shows seem to be around D to D+.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

At first sight FFA´s situation doesn´t look too bad with several guys being on F overness and Hiroji Irie and Yoshi MG being all the way on E-. However at closer look I realized that every single guy who have gained overness did gain it because they work in WotW so actually FFA itself haven´t managed to rise anyone´s overness and with popularity over performance promotion that isn´t a good thing. Overall, I figure that FFA isn´t going to become a big force simply because AI has no idea how to gather overness in this kind of promotion. They will probably stay on small thanks to the fact that they get some popularity for their workers who work in WotW and UBBP but I don´t see them growing above small size (especially since there is regional battles happening in Japan), at least not anytime soon. Their shows (10 in total) have so far scored E- ratings with the exception of two shows that had an E grade. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

UBBP is doing good job building overness for their guys especially considering that they had very limited options about who they could sign. Their show grades started around E – E+ but lately they have scored D- to D rated shows putting them little behind WotW but way above FFA. That´s pretty much where I see them being for next few years but they do have a shot to challenge WotW in the future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Main problem with ECW is the same than in pretty much every else popularity over performance company, namely that no-one isn´t able to gain any overness. I figure that letting Turner Esch go after payment dispute likely didn´t help their changes either. Chad McQueen was also let go because of similar reasons but he hasn´t show anything that would make me believe that he could have help ECW so it wasn´t a big loss. ECW scored either E- or E in every show this year expect one D- that happened when they realized to put Battle Axe in the main event.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Main thing that catches my eye when looking at their history that NLE have been holding shows everywhere in Europe and when you add the usual “no one gains any overness” to that it´s no surprise that their shows fail to deliver. Last three shows have been held in Mediterranean area so hopefully they finally figured that they should hold shows in just one area. NLE started with E+ popularity everywhere (possible the reason why they travelled so much during the first year?) but the popularity have come down big time thanks to poor shows and infrequent schedules. Another thing that catches eye is that they seem to pretty much trust the same guys than I do as the top of their card looks pretty familiar. NLE have regularly got E- as their show rating. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>NOTE: After checking other companies I believe that the fact that NLE started with E+ overness everywhere in Europe is indeed the reason why they travelled instead of staying on the one area as TPW and CFW did the same thing and both companies started with same amount of overness in every area while everyone else stayed on their home area because they were much more over there than elsewhere. This of course hurts CFW and NLE but hopefully they start holding shows in their own areas now that they overness elsewhere has declined to next to nothing.</em></p><p><em>

Another company who has lots of familiar names in it, which of course isn´t really a surprise as there is exactly one unemployed male wrestler (not counting foreign talent) in Europe at the moment so it´s not like there is that many options to begin with. PoG have been pretty inconsistent with their show grades so far getting anything between F+ to E+. Lately they have done better mainly thanks to the fact that Reto Anderhub is their current champion and thus he main events a lot.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

If you compere my roster to PoG and NLE you can likely see that I´m using quite much foreign talents in my roster (pretty much anyone who doesn´t appear in either one´s roster is foreign guy) which could be counted as a cheat since AI don´t do that. Still, considering that AI can skip lots of those penalties that affect match ratings, I find it fair that I can hire outside talent to help me. Now obviously biggest help on those foreign talents are Turner Esch but also guys like Jesse Batch, Johnny Hill and Corey Crash plus any of the girls might have a good future in GWE and some others like Scott Swick and Andre Nielson can be used as jobbers and then release them once their resent fortunes become too bad. Looking at the roster, I´m pretty happy about where everyone is in terms of push as it´s pretty close to what my current plans are. There however have been quite many changes from the original plans. Manuel Rua and Melker Eriksen had bigger roles on my original plans but Rua has been disappointment rating wise while Eriksen´s bad backstage attitude has relegated him to midcard. On the other hand Pavlos Antzas, Boone Iida and Wevers Jansen are or higher than what I originally planned and the reason is that they are now tag team guys instead of singles wrestlers. There seems to be a simple rule on my bookings that if you’re not main event guy you have better change to succeed if you are in tag team, but if you are in main event then you are better without a tag team. I can´t exactly tell why it is that way but that´s what I have found out when I look at my bookings in general. The next year will likely be my last with GWE, not because I would want to leave but because I will be failing a critical owner goal (can´t fall below #8 in company rankings, expires after 1 year and 1 month) which will likely lead to me being fired. My hope is that I can get make a solid foundation for GWE before that happens. </p></div><p></p><p></p>

<p>January 1983</p><p> </p><p>

- Herc Ulysses, better known as Terry Titan or Hollywood Herc takes the wrestler of the year award back from Daniel Bone. This is second time that Terry Titan wins the award as he was voted best wrestler in 1981 too.</p><p> </p><p>

- WotW gets the most improved company award. This is the first time they win it as SCW got it in 1982 and there was no winner in 1981.</p><p> </p><p>

- Daniel Bone defeating Jonny Justice was a surprise match of the year. Surprise because I wouldn´t have expected to see Jonny Justice (also known as Wrestle Man) being anywhere near the best match of a year (though when I look at last year´s power 500 he was actually 8th so guess he´s just better than I thought). This match happened in OPW´s Zero Signal event. The match was rated as C+.</p><p> </p><p>

- OPW wins the card of a year award second time on a row, this time the best card was OPW Kick Start that got a C rating.</p><p> </p><p>

- Isaac King gets the manager of the year award for third time.</p><p> </p><p>

- Nick Charlie Mustafa wins the best announcer award also for the third time.</p><p> </p><p>

- Howard Weidt gets the colour commentator of the year award that he also won back in 1981. </p><p> </p><p>

- Jared Carter is the referee of the year for third year in a row.</p><p> </p><p>

Power 25 for 1982:</p><p>

1. Herc Ulysses (Terry Titan)</p><p>

2. Daniel Bone</p><p>

3. Bishop Black </p><p>

4. Jay Synn (Michael Stark)</p><p>

5. Mauler McGregor</p><p>

6. AJ Allstot</p><p>

7. Hiroji Irie</p><p>

8. Hellbringer</p><p>

9. Yoshi MG</p><p>

10. Wrestle Man (Johnny Justice)</p><p>

11. Blood Redd</p><p>

12. Big Ray Dubya</p><p>

13. Nobuyoshi Okano</p><p>

14. Big Brobatos</p><p>

15. Self</p><p>

16. Akahito Aizawa</p><p>

17. Juan Blanco</p><p>

18. Battle Axe</p><p>

19. Kosaku Shiga</p><p>

20. Shinsuke</p><p>

21. Reto Anderhub</p><p>

22. Sadahige Shimetzu</p><p>

23. Tatsuzo Kawazu</p><p>

24. Shumkichi Shimura</p><p>

25. Motoyasu Makino</p><p> </p><p>

- Plenty of Japanese made it to top 25 this year and it looks like they are here to stay too. Also good job from Juan Blanco getting 17th place. The guys on the starting database are now having harder time to get into the top and that showed with plenty of them being left outside of top 25. The ranking for rest of the original database guys where: El Espiritu II (26), Douglas Bryson (27), Puppet Master (32), Andre Oliver (35), VooDude (41), Nelson Maverick (46), GLEE (48), Scarlett Rose (62), Running Boot (63), Foxy Faye (64), Orchid (71) and Jackie Flash (78). As for GWE guys top five where Turner Esch (53), Jesse Batch (57, thanks to his WotW tour), Mathias Carlsson (77), Gustavo Michel (82) and surprisingly Pavlos Antzas (85). Corey Crash (92), Reidar Martin (93), Alicia Moreno (94) and Melker Eriksen (96) also managed to get into top 100. At total, 148 wrestlers got their names into top 500 list. If there is someone who you like to know how they did just ask and I will give the answer, I just felt that giving the whole list would be too much even though I find it pretty interesting myself. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

- TPW re-signs some graduates but also let one go. The guy who is set to leave is Roy Hackney. He had been in TPW since February 1982 and has a record of 4 wins 1 draw and 17 losses with average match rating being E.</p><p> </p><p>

- CSW signs Philip Alessio to p.p.a deal. Age: 22, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Heavyweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on camera: average, Face: Average, Heel: Strong. You might remember Alessio from my GCW stint as he was one of the guys I hired while I worked there. Alessio is Joe Boone regen but so far he haven´t set world to fire and is only midcard guy in GCW.</p><p> </p><p>

- Speaking of GCW they must have had pretty successful New Year´s party as in week 1 Saturday we learn that there are two new couples in GCW. Adalicia Garner and Garlan Roberts as well as Mary Howard (their colour commentator) and Rolando Landry are now dating. </p><p> </p><p>

- Pavlos Antzas won the NLE National title from Melker Eriksen. Eriksen managed to get 10 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Kosaku Shiga ended MG Yoshi´s WotW Heavyweight title run after 12 defenses. This is the first time that Shiga gets the WotW Heavyweight title but he is two times (and currently holding the belt) WotW tag champ and also current UBBP Universal Champion. Not bad from a guy who debuted less than a year ago (he debuted in April 1982).</p><p> </p><p>

- OPW bolster their roster by signing Andrew Curran to p.p.a deal. Age: 18, Style: Cruiserweight, Size: Middleweight, In Ring: Average, Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on camera: average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong. Curran has worked in TPW ever since he graduated from their dojo back in April 1982.</p>

Comments: I don´t normally comment my booking choices on this one but guess this should be exception. Namely why have Esch loose the title when he´s clearly my best guy. The answer is that I´m mainly thinking forward here, it´s pretty big possibility that I will get fired after end of this year and I want GWE to do well after I leave too. I figured that best way to do this is to have Esch as main champ when I leave since then AI would be more likely to put him into main event. Of course the problem was that if I didn´t move the title now then he would have had so long reign that AI would likely have moved the title to someone else. Because of this, I decided to have Esch drop the title for now and claim in back in November or December as then AI would be more likely to leave the title to Esch and besides, winning the title here gives Michel a nice boost on overness. Esch had also gotten into spot where D- matches weren´t enough to advance his overness so hopefully by donating some of his overness to Michel, he can regain it against lesser guys and when he faces Michel again they would hopefully be able to produce better match ratings that they currently can as at least Michel should be more over than what he was before this one.</p><p>

<p>February 1983</p><p> </p><p>

- WotW ends it current tour and that means that Jesse Batch, Jay Acid, Melvin Lane and Paul Ryland are gone from their roster.</p><p> </p><p>

- Mario Nash wins CFW Top Contender title from Bill Criss. Criss managed to have 9 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- WotW is once again signing foreign talent for their next tour. Here is everyone who got signed this time around:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">- Arnold Fraser, Age: 21, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Strong, Entertainment and on camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong. Fraser´s only employment record before this was a short stint with TPW as he worked there between August 1981 and December 1981.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Corey Crash, Age: 23, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Lightweight, In Ring and Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong. This is second time Crash will go to WotW tour and as you remember he have had decent success in GWE too.</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Age: 20, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring and Performance: Average, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on camera: Strong, Face: Strong, Heel: Strong. They however left another debuting rookie to unemployed list so seems that they now have the required number of guys in their roster.</p><p> </p><p>

- Eugenio Herrera becomes three times GLLM Wrestling spirit champion (their low level belt) when he defeated his nemesis Federico Soler (two times Wrestling Spirit champ, these two have traded the belt back and forth with Eduardo Medina being the only other person who have held the title). Soler managed to get 6 successful defenses before dropping the belt.</p>

Comments: This was so far the worst show this year but to be honest that was to be expected as though Michel is a good talent on European standards he isn´t as good as Esch (Hill and Michel had bad chemistry too so that didn´t help either). Still we did gain popularity in our home area and that´s all that matters and eventually someone else than Esch had to hold the belt anyway. Corey Crash was unavailable because he was touring with WotW.</p></div><p></p><p></p>

Roster Moves:

Guys Leaving:

http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/4286/z52v.jpg

Scott Swick

Age: 23

Face

Style: Regular Wrestler

Size: Middleweight

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Weak

Record: 0 – 0 – 12

As you can see from his record, Swick was brought in as a jobber and with him being bad backstage attitude combined with bad resent momentum, he becomes an easy cut to be made.

New Signings:

http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/7407/12cd.jpg

Thiago Goes

Age: 19

Face

Style: Regular Wrestler

Size: Middleweight

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Average

Goes is first of the three guys new guys who I signed. I decided to sign three mainly because after checking it from editor I noted that my owner favors really large roster and I figured I might as well fill it myself instead of letting AI go to hiring spree once I leave. The plan for Goes is to put him into tag team with Manuel Rua in order to give ma a third face team. Goes debuted in August 1982 and has worked for NLE ever since. He´s match ratings have been really bad there though as he have had nine matches, eight that scored F rating and only one getting even F+ rating so he certainly isn´t in-ring general. Still I hope he eventually fills a midcard spot in GWE.

http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2513/f1sn.jpg

Emilio Morales

Age: 18

Heel

Style: Regular Wrestler

Size: Middleweight

In Ring and Performance: Strong

Physical: Strong

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Average, Heel: Strong

Morales is another resent addition to game world as he debuted in October 1982 and was instantly signed by NLE. Morales stats look like he might be good in-ring talent and so far from six matches in NLE, he has 4 F+ and 2 F rated matches, which isn´t bad for NLE´s standards. Overall, the hope is that Morales would eventually become a main event level guy for GWE.

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3131/wtjl.jpg

Jorge Neto

Age: 18

Face

Style: Entertainer

Size: Light Heavyweight

In Ring and Performance: Average

Physical: Average

Entertainment and on-camera: Average

Face: Strong, Heel: Strong

Unlike the other two guys who I signed, Neto don´t work anywhere else so this is his first opportunity to impress. The plan right now is to have Neto replace Swick as jobber, but things might always change if he performs well.

Show Rating: E+

Comments: Not as good show as the last one but still good enough. No bad chemistry note between Rua and Goes so they are official tag team now. On bad side of things, Emilio Moralas don´t have stamina to go 8 minutes matches and he and Carlsson had bad chemistry on top of that. Still they managed to salvage E rating from their match but that bad stamina makes me rethink on my plans to push Morales into main event scene. Harold Batch decided to make himself nuisance again. This time he damaged Gustavo Michel´s rental car and declined to pay the damage. I gave him riot act for his troubles. Annoying thing is that I just had decided that I need to push Batch Brother´s to midcard in order to get a second decent heel tag team and now this have me second guess about Harold´s future again.

May 1983

- WotW finishes its current tour and once again that means that guys on touring contracts are out so Corey Crash, Alan Nevada and Arnold Fraser are gone from their roster.

- First ever independence show is held in Australia. It only scored F rating and only two of the eight matches got F+ rating while everything else was rated as F. Still at least all those Australian guys get some work while they are waiting for some promotion to debut in their home country.

- WotW starts to prepare for their next tour again and that means touring contracts. Here´s who got signed this time around.

- Samuel Gibson, Age: 23, Style: Entertainer, Size: Middleweight, In Ring: Average, Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on camera: Average, Face: Weak, Heel: Strong. This is the second time Gibson works in WotW tour snd he also had a short stint (about six months) in TPW during the first half of 1981.

- Jose Slater, Age: 23, Style: Regular Wrestler, Size: Middleweight, In Ring: Weak, Performance: Strong, Physical: Average, Entertainment and on camera: Average, Face: Strong, Heel: Average. Like Gibson this is Slater´s second time in Wotw and he also worked in TPW between October 1980 and June 1981.

- Juan Blanco starts his second Campeón Mundial de Completo GLLM title reign by defeating two times champion Rafael Ramirez for the belt. In fact Ramirez and Blanco have traded the belt three times now as no-one else haven´t been champion since December 1980. Only other champion has been Javier Arias and he had a month long reign before dropping the title to Ramirez. Ramirez managed only 4 successful defenses this time around.

- Micah Stark beats Shinsuke for the CSW Windy City title Shinsuke had 10 successful defenses before dropping the belt that he had held since April 1981.
