DOTM: June 2013 Nominations

Recommended Posts

RULES

 1. Credit goes to The Curator/mistaken and The Final Countdown for the layout here.

 2. You have 3 votes to nominate , 1 for each category

 3. All non-Cornellverse diaries (both real world and fantasy) have been combined into a 'Mod' category.

 4. You may substitute your C-Verse nomination for a 2nd Mod nomination, or vice versa.

 5. Please place a link to the diary you are nominating.

 6. In the Monthly Spotlight category, you will single out a specific aspect of a diary that particularly impressed you over the course of the month, be it a match, show, angle, storyline, development of a character, etc.

 7. You may not nominate yourself

 8. All nominations must include a reason

 9. Nominations do NOT need a second. So, once a diary has been nominated PLEASE do NOT nominate it again!

 10. No Rookie DOTM this month so everyone qualifies for Cornellverse/Mod DOTM as long as there is one show in the current month.

 11. Monthly Spotlight: Minimum requirement of one show during the current month.

 12. Hall of Famers include: Monkeypox, Scapino1974, Tristram, Adam Ryland, Nevermore, Tigerkinney, KeefMoon, J Silver, James Casey, BigPapa42, Marcel Fromage, Reaper, Dragonmack, Eisen-verse, Self, Phantom Stranger, jhd1, The Final Countdown, angeldelayette and NoNeck.

 13. A vote for yourself is an automatic disqualification.

 14. You may NOT nominate SWF: Where Men Become LEGENDS by Eisen-verse for Cornellverse DOTM

 15. You may NOT nominate WWE: The Longest-Running Weekly Episodic Cluster of Shows in TV History! by michgcs or The Return Of Terry Thunder [ThunderVerse] by jhd1 for Mod DOTM

 16. You may NOT nominate WWF: The Golden Age...and beyond? by The Final Countdown for Monthly Spotlight DOTM

 17. The hope is to update this at least once a day.

Gonna nominate Booking FCW... Caribbean style by flaviooooo for C-Verse

Been a fun read so far and good to see FCW getting some love finally in the land of TEW13. Done well at fleshing out characters and has worked in some fun storylines.

Monthly Spotlight:3rdStringPG's SWF: Sunday Nights Counting Lights - The Continuing Saga of KP Avatar Supreme Challenge XXXIII segment "Morrisette Loses It in Locker Room". A bit down in this post here.

Considering I legitimately went figuratively bat-**** insane over one little sentence, um...yeah. Good show as well, if I have to be more general and nominate the event itself.

Nominating GSW: War in the West for C-Verse

Not because Voelzwagon nominated my dynasty (for which I thank him <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />), but because I really love the atmosphere and story.

Especially the bickering between the two announcers cracks me up!

For Monthly Spotlight I'd like to nominate Eisen-Verse's Master of Puppets PPV (including the votings beforehand)... Really cool way to keep things fresh and involve the readers!

I was really psyched up for this diary when he first hyped it on the diary preview thread, then I forgot all about it. Fortunately, it finally arrived a few weeks ago, and Everybody Knows has certainly lived up to my expectations. Being that I loved Phantom Stranger's A Quiet Retirement (one of the first diaries I read as a TEW player) and that this one's also very strong in backstage segments and show quality, I'd say he deserves a nod in his first month qualifying for DOTM honors.

One more C-Verse nomination coming up! Still have yet to decide on which diary to nominate...

Going to sub my cverse vote for two mod votes.

Going to nominate Beejus' War of the Thrones

Reason being it's rare I get into a diary enough to follow, but I just found this last night and read the whole thing in one go.

http://greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=524029

Also, Final Countdown's WWF: The Golden Age.....And Beyond?

Reason being that it's the only diary up until War of the Thrones of 13 that I have followed with the same passion as Nevermore's.

His 2-part season finale was excellently written, and the whole thing is a very easy, stress-free read, with great characters... go check it out!!

2) The longest Title of a diary, of wrestling, in a dynasty in history... or something... no... it's actually "WWE: The Longest-Running Weekly Episodic Cluster of Shows in TV History!" by michgcs

Diary is coming to a possible end after OVER 3 years, and is fantastic! If you haven't seen it before, get over there now and find the Royal Rumble from this year!!!

I would like to nominate Tigerkinney´s DIASPORA- Takayuki of the Revolution-13 (Thunderverse) http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=522477 to mod category for the simple reason that he has managed to make Japanese workrate promotion interesting to follow for me.

As for the CornellVerse, I nominate Jingo´s 21CW: The Hottest (and only) ticket in town http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=524602 as it´s one of the best diaries that are quick to read plus Jingo always manage to make things interesting and often suprises me with his results.

Mod 1: WCW91-Birth of a Company, with a Texas Twist by tg01. I'm really enjoying this one so far, and the just recently posted SuperBrawl was a strong show with more than one development that caught me by surprise.

Mod 2: WWF 1994: Growing Pains by RKOwnage. This diary appears to be a bit underrated in my opinion. I encourage anyone who is a fan of this era to check this one out, especially with Summerslam just around the corner. I'm a lot more interested in Undertaker vs. DiBiase than I was in the real life Undertaker vs. "Undertaker."

Spotlight: Wrestlemania 29 in WWE: The Longest-Running Weekly Episodic Cluster of Shows in TV History! by micgcs. His readers were eagerly anticipating this one, and it did not disappoint. The match between Bryan Danielson and William Regal was particularly dramatic, and had my on the edge of my seat the whole way.

I know that another aspect of michs' work was already nominated, so I'm unsure whether or not Mania is eligible. (It would have been when I was running this, but angel may feel differently.) If that is the case, just let me know and I'll nominate something else for the spotlight.
