<p>Another card like the real-life one (Except for the Kurrgan match), but i will do some twists that i think that you guys are going to like, and then as i end some real-life storylines you guys may see my vision, but i'm going a bit like IRL on the Road to WrestleMania. Remember: This is the go home show before the Rumble. Shotgun (Quick results) may be posted today, and i have HUGE news too.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div style="text-align:center"><div><span style="font-family:Tahoma"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Raw is War 01/12/1998 card</strong></span></span><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma"><strong>The New Age Outlaws vs. The Headbangers vs. The Godwinns vs. The Truth Commission (Recon & Sniper) (w/Kurrgan and The Jackyl)</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> Comment:</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma"><strong>Kurrgan (w/The Jackyl) vs. Chainz</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> Comment:</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma"><strong>Vader vs. Marc Mero (w/Sable)</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> Comment:</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma"><strong>Ken Shamrock & Mark Henry vs. Nation of Domination (D'Lo Brown & The Rock) (w/Faarooq and Kama)</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> Comment:</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma"> </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma"><strong>The Disciples of Apocalypse (w/Chainz) vs. ??? Alright, i've been busy this week, but this is nowhere near dead. The show might be up later today or tomorrow morning/afternoon. But then, as you wait, enjoy the second article. Short one for sure, but it's just a match hype one. This is not a bump, but then, i'm making the last call for the predictions.

January 11th, 1998.

Can ''Kenny'' Shamrock do it?

Ken Shamrock has been called many things up to date. The Best MMA Fighter Ever, The World's Most Dangerous Man and ''Kenny'' Shamrock. But one thing that he needs to be called yet is a WWF Champion. And Shamrock has the chance to be called a champion this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. The task would be simple - if not for one obstacle.
The Rock
. The current WWF Intercontinental Champion has been breaking all hell loose since ''defeating'' Steve Austin for the gold back in December. Rock even has a weapon against Ken: Faarooq's Nation of Domination. The Rock is a member of the Nation himself, with some questionable acts against Faarooq being made by him over the past few weeks. The Rock is armed and dangerous for the war too, meaning that there will be casualties. On this Raw is War, Shamrock will have his own weapon, as he teams with the recently returned Mark Henry against Rock and D'Lo Brown of The Nation. It promises to be a big tag team clash to prelude the final confront in Shamrock vs. Rock. Want to know what is going to happen?

Tune in on Raw is War on Monday, and call in for the Royal Rumble on Sunday to see The Rock vs. Ken Shamrock and much more action.

<p>First of all, i'm going to thank Beejus for nominating this for DOTM. Thank you, dude. I don't nominate in these things by now, i just vote in the polls. Then, welcome to the contest, tg01! Just in time as i finished writing the show when you predicted. I recommend you guys to read both Beejus' and tg's diaries, they are both awesome and made me get interested in the early 90's WCW much more than i was before. These are when the Rumble opponents Shamrock and Rock meet in the ring, and all hell breaks loose with Shamrock focusing on Rock's legs and Rock brawling his way back. These were highlights that preluded Sunday very well. And during the match, there was also a sign in the crowd reading ''The only racism I see in the WWF is YOU, Farooq!'', bringing some anger to the Nation leader as he saw it. But the bottom line was when Shamrock had the Ankle Lock locked in Rocky, and he had the match won. Rock just couldn't hold on anymore, but from out of nowhere, Shamrock is whacked on the back of the skull by Mark Henry! Luna Vachon is dressed as Cactus Jack, and we have a crazy war in our main event. Both men got in some sick blows on each other, including bites and low blows. Michaels says that the new member of D-Generation X is...KANE! The crowd has a mixed reaction to the announcement, and Michaels calls the Big Red Monster (or now, Big Green Monster) to the ring, and the crowd awaits for the man in question. And someone comes down to the ring, but it isn't who DX wants to.</div></p><p><div style="margin-left:25px"> </div></p><p><div style="margin-left:25px"> </div></p><div style="text-align:center"><a href="http://s1313.photobucket.com/user/Smasher1311/media/WWF%201997/TheUndertaker111_zps7d8feab8.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/TheUndertaker111_zps7d8feab8.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p><div style="margin-left:25px"> </div></p><p><div style="margin-left:25px"> The bell tolls and it's pretty obvious on who's the man coming to the ring. Michaels responds, saying that Taker has no brains in that thick head of his, so he can't get on ''his head''. Undertaker steps forward the Heartbreak Kid, but Michaels screams ''HOLD UP!'' and says that Taker needs to save it for the Rumble; he needs to save the huge beatdown that DX is going to give to him for the Royal Rumble! The crowd boos, but the boos soon turn into cheers as Undertaker chokes Shawn Michaels! The moment is short, though, as Triple H jacks Taker with a crutch from behind! Taker falls to his knees, much to the delight of Shawn Michaels. The latter and Chyna both grab a crutch too, and the threesome starts to beat The Deadman with them. The fans' next reaction is a rain of cheers, as Kane chokeslams Shawn Michaels! Triple H and Chyna finally see what is happening, and Hunter hits a punch on the back of Kane's neck! The monster doesn't fall, but is dazed for enough time for Hunter and Chyna to pull HBK from the ring and escape to the back! And finally, here it is, the go home show before the Royal Rumble.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thank you for your kind words, I really want to take the time to get caught up on so many of the great diaries on this board, but something always seems to come up, but I'm glad I can get in early on this one! Also very glad to see I could get at least one surprise right for once with the R'n'R Express! Keep up the good work, really looking forward to your Royal Rumble!</p>

So, i'm going to test my FictionPlus abilities with the Rumble. The program had match previews at first, but one button made me lose everything as there isn't a save button  And then, i got frustrated, and i hate this app :p. No, hate of frustration, i love the looks :p So, only at the next PPV. I will only use FP for PPVs.

Observation: Some of the matches had hype in the shows before i started the diary (1997), but were not hyped that much or were not hyped at any moment in 98 (The Light Heavyweight Title and Tag Team Titles matches)

<p>Really enjoying this so far.. love that it's well grounded in reality - I hate when people try and change things too fast just to be different from real life.. the writing is really good and I think you've captured the time period really well..</p><p> </p><p>

We are live at the San Jose Arena with over 17,000 crazy WWF fans jampacking the arena! Hello Everyone and Welcome to the 11th edition of the Royal Rumble! I'm Jim Ross, alongside my partner Jerry ''The King'' Lawler, and King, what a night this is going to be.
You're right JR, tonight we're finally going to see that idiot Stone Cold Steve Austin get what he deserves to, a huge beating! And THAT is the Bottom Line!
The bell rings for the first time on the show and Brian Christopher makes his way to the ring. He's facing TAKA Michinoku for the Light Heavyweight Championship next.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/HowardFinkel_zpsb411098f.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the World Wrestling Federation Light Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Memphis, Tennessee, weighing in at 213 pounds, Brian Christopher!
After Christopher's entrance, the Light Heavyweight Champion himself comes down to the ring, with the crowd clearly behind him. Christopher is not impressed, though, and Jerry Lawler is ''sleeping'' in the announcers table.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/HowardFinkel_zpsb411098f.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
And his opponent, from Youtsukaido, Chiba, weighing in at 183 pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Light Heavyweight Champion, TAKA Michinoku!
At the early going of the match, Brian tried to outsmart his opponent with dirty tricks, and he did just that, taking the Light Heavyweight Champion down, much to the delight of Jerry Lawler at the table. Christopher's strategy worked for a while, but when TAKA came back in with the fans cheering on him, he knew that he had to retreat. But as TAKA hit a array of exciting high flying moves, with a moonsault that left the fans amused included, Christopher's hope of becoming the champion decreased. But right in the middle of the bout, Brian low-blowed TAKA out of desperation, and went right after the champion once again. Brian bashed TAKA's head into the steel post several times and superkicked him, getting a good momentum that he was missing big time before. Christopher hit a Piledriver on his opponent and covered him, but only got a nearfall!
Neither Jerry's or Brian's complaints worked, as the match was still going. Brian was crazy, and climbed to the top turnbuckle for his trademark Tennessee Jam. He screamed ''STAY DOWN'' to TAKA as he climbed, and then hit the big leg...but TAKA moved out of the way! Jerry was livid, as Brian went leg-first into the canvas. Neither man made it to their feet again for some moments, but when TAKA did it, he jacked young Brian with the Michinoku Driver for the successful pinfall and his first title defense.

Notes
: 8:04.
Hey! That's now fair! The kid kicked out of that pathetic move! Restart this match now! Brian Christopher won this thing!
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
No, King, TAKA retained the gold fair and square, with that beautiful Michinoku Driver. Christopher gave it all, but in the end, TAKA Michinoku is still the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion.
Backstage, the WWF Intercontinental Champion The Rock is standing with the rest of the Nation of Domination (minus their leader Faarooq), and the crowd boos. He talks about his title defense against Ken Shamrock tonight.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/TheRock7_zps66b96a5a.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
Finally. The night has come. The night where The Rock is going to finally show each and every pathetic fan that Kenny Shamrock is just another piece of trash to step in the way of the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. Nobody can defeat The Rock. The Rock is never going to lose this. The Rock will just lose this if he gets tired of it. But that's not tonight. Tonight, The Rock destroys another cocky SOB that thinks that he can defeat The Rock. Tonight, The Rock cements his legacy!
Rating: B+
Notes: The Rock improvised well. The Rock is awesome.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
He's sure confident, King, but confidence can't win you everything. Ken Shamrock is one tough men as we saw in his stay here in the WWF since last year. But this match is just later on. Now we are with Howard Finkel once again for one of the most bizarre encounters ever in the WWF.
The bell rings and we are on to the only non-title match (excluding the Rumble) of the night. (The Artist Formerly Known As) Goldust comes in to the ring accompanied by Luna Vachon, and she has a huge ball on her hands. The crowd boos Goldust heavily, but he doesn't seem to care about it.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/HowardFinkel_zpsb411098f.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Makind his way to the ring, accompanied by Luna Vachon, from Hollywood, California, weighing in at 243 pounds...The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust!
After Goldust's long entrance, a loud ''IT'S TIME'' it's heard, and it's Vader's theme song, to the delight of the crowd. The monster comes in focused, and he cannot wait to get his hands on his rival.
When the bell rang, Goldust was pummeled by his bigger opponent like if he was nothing for what seemed like a eternity. It were moments of destruction that Goldust will sure never forget. With Luna bashing the apron at ringside to no use, it seemed that Vader would win this one pretty quickly. But it all changed when Goldust poked the eye of the big man, blinding him for a moment. Goldust took advantage of this moment and hit a huge knee to the face of his rival, and he fell as he couldn't hold it thanks to his eye. Goldust got Vader in the corner and hit some moves on it, but the referee separated the two men because of Vader's eye injury, and Goldust argued with him. In this moment, Luna got involved and bashed Vader with the ball that she brought in. Vader fell to his knees, and Goldust went after him again. After some shots, Goldust locked in a sleeper hold on Vader, and the crowd booed as he was cheating his way to victory. The sleeper did nothing, though, as the big man got up to his feet with Goldust on his back! Vader ran to the corner backwards twice, and Goldust fell! Vader then ran back to the corner and completely destroyed his rival with a splash! Luna tried to get involved, but she could do nothing to stop Vader's rampage. He hit another splash on the now fallen Goldust, and got him back to his feet for the Vader Bomb and the 1-2-3.

WOW. Did you see that, King? Vader continues his path of destruction! Goldust tried and tried, but nobody could kick out of that Vader Bomb!
Backstage, we are in a dark room, with none other than The Undertaker inside it. He has some words for his opponent tonight, Shawn Michaels.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/TheUndertaker111_zps7d8feab8.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
Shawn Michaels, last year, when you made me lose my title, you were commited to pay for your crimes against the darkness. But you refused to, and had to have hell help you to escape me. But tonight, the darkness is finally going to have its revenge against you. Tonight, the darkness is going to lock you inside your casket forever, where you're NOT going to REST...IN...PEACE.
Rating: B+
Notes: The Undertaker is always awesome in the mic. He didn't improvise, but he had one of the best promos of the night.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
The Undertaker is very focused tonight as he's the newest challenger for the World Title. Shawn Michaels might be on to a painful night, King.
Nah, he's not worried, not in the least. He's going to bury this dead fool once again and put him where he belongs. Hey, it's James!
We have now the trademark formal build in the ring of the NWA. Jim Cornette (James) comes in to the ring, and he has Jeff Jarrett behind him. He gets a microphone.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimCornette31_zpsceb3badf.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
And now, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the most awaited time of the night. Now, experience the Rock 'n' Roll Express joining the finest of the world...come in, Ricky and Robert, and choose the best side on this war!
As Cornette finishes the line, The Rock 'n' Roll Express of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson enters the ring, and Cornette offers his hand for a handshake for both. But neither one accepts and Ricky grabs a microphone himself.
Jim, you may have the thought of us joining you in your little stupid head, but the thing is, as we said on Raw...the thing is yourself! You're the biggest rat that me and Rob have ever met, and we are not joining anything that you come up with. Wrestling is our passion, but we have no intentions of joining a war about it if the reason is just to feed your big ego!
As Ricky tries to say anything else, Jeff Jarrett steps up and attacks him, much to the delight of Cornette. However, the numbers game eventually catch Double J, as Gibson helps his partner and they throw the North American champion over the top rope. Ricky and Robert turn their attentions back to Cornette after this, and he tries to stop them. They don't listen, and continue stepping up to Jim. His fear soon turns into a smile for some reason, however, and he speaks quickly.
Ricky and Robert are confused for a moment, and everyone except for Cornette has the same expression as two men attack them from out of nowhere! After some moments, they throw Morton out of the ring and knock Gibson out. Then, one of them climbs to the top of the corner, and hits a move that Jim Ross describes as the ''Five Star Frog Splash''! As carnage reigns in the ring, Cornette is all smiles, and seems to know both men.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimCornette31_zpsceb3badf.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
Ricky, Robert, you two are good. All of these years of war i saw that you two were good. But you'll never outsmart me. As Beautiful Bobby is down in the other company and Stan is not in his best days, i called two young men that i saw in two small companies and impressed me that were fumbling for a job. Ricky, Robert...i introduce to you...''Royal'' Robby V and ''Suave'' Steve Storm...THE NEW MIDNIGHT EXPRESS!
Rating: E
Notes: This storyline keeps getting lackluster ratings, but now i'm not finishing it. Robby V's Cocky gimmick got a B, and Storm's Legitimate Athlete gimmick got a B+
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
A HUGE swerve! It was all a swerve, from the start to the finish! Ricky and Robert thought that it would be just a quick way to humiliate Jim Cornette, but he had both of them on the palm of his hands!
Now these two lame rockers will learn that you can't cross master James! Good one! These two new Midnights got a huge future with the master behind them!
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
OH C'MON KING! Can you be partial for just one night? But then...it's time for tag team action, ladies and gentlemen!
The bell rings and it's time for Tag Team title action! The Legion of Doom's theme explodes in the arena to the delight of the LOD's fans. They make their way to the ring.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/HowardFinkel_zpsb411098f.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall, and it is for the World Wrestling Federation World Tag Team Championship! Introducing first...the challengers...from Chicago, Illinois, at a combined weight of 650 pounds...Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk...The Legion of Doom!
Then, the champions come in with loud boos behind them. Gunn and Dogg are focused, though, and Billy points to Animal and Hawk as Dogg introduces them.
And the opponents of two clogged pieces of shit...the biggest World Tag Team Champions of the World...we have a combined weight of 501 pounds...Billy Gunn and Road Dogg...THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS! OH YOU DIDN'T KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW?????
Animal and Hawk are not impressed by Dogg's introduction, and our second title match of the evening is under way.
As the bell rang, Dogg and Hawk started the match, and Dogg taunted Hawk. The match was a wild brawl in which the Outlaws dominated the early going with some dirty moves and double team moves. But the LOD was not going to let their chance get out like air, though, and when Animal countered the Fame Asser, it went all downhill for the Outlaws. The trademark beatdown that the LOD gives started there, and there was nothing that the Outlaws could do to stop it. As they hit a double Back Body Drop on Gunn, Hawk covered Gunn, but Dogg was able to punch Hawk's back out of desperation at the last second. Animal entered the ring too, and the LOD double teamed Dogg to the point that he nearly couldn't get up anymore. Then, they got Dogg up for the Doomsday Device, and Animal lifted Dogg for it. Hawk got to the top of the corner, but Billy got up at the last second and shoved both Animal and his partner to Hawk! Dogg fell outside the ring, and Billy threw Animal out of the ring. He then pulled Hawk off the corner, and when the Road Warrior got up, Billy hit the Fame Asser for the 1-2-3! The New Age Outlaws are still your World Tag Team Champions of the World!

Notes: 10:05.

And the Outlaws retain! The New Age Outlaws retain after a hard fought battle! With this, you've got to admit that these two young men are here to stay!
Yeah, not like these two dumb and old Warriors that we used to like! And the best part is, we're still going to hear The Road Dogg every Monday Night! Woo!
Backstage, Michael Cole is knocking the door of Ken Shamrock's locker room. Shamrock is inside, but there is no answer.
The door finally opens and the man in question gets out of the room. He says nothing, though, and seems as focused as ever, and makes his way to the arena for his big match with The Rock.

Rating: D+
Notes: Shamrock was fantastic with his bad ass attitude. Cole looked lost, though.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
Ken Shamrock is now on to one of the biggest matches of his WWF career! And he's ready for it! This crowd is ready for it!
Yeah, he's ready for the beating of his life! Enter that ring now, i want to see you getting your ass kicked! GO ROCKY!
Ken Shamrock's theme plays and he doesn't open his mouth on his way to the ring. He looks like the kind of person who ''strikes first, speaks second''. The crowd is completely behind him, though.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/HowardFinkel_zpsb411098f.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship! Introducing first...the challenger...from Sacramento California...weighing in at 243 pounds...he is the ''World's Most Dangerous Man''...Ken Shamrock!
Next, the Intercontinental Champion himself, The Rock, steps in from the curtain, and comes in with the Nation (minus Faarooq once again), to a chorus of boos from the crowd. The Nation, however, taunts the crowd with their fists, as Rock enters the ring.
And his opponent, accompanied by The Nation of Domination, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 260 pounds...he is the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion...The Rock!
The rivals stare at each other and walk around the ring for some moments, before locking up and starting one of the most physical matches of the night. Both men wanted more than be the Intercontinental Champion. They wanted to destroy each other and end their rivalry once and for all. After some moments, the Nation distracted Shamrock and The Rock gained control for some moments, but the match returned to its normal curse with no man dominating over the time. After 8 minutes, Rock went on for the Rock Bottom, but Shamrock punched him on the back, and hit a huge Belly to Belly Suplex that knocked Rocky out cold! Shamrock then raised his hand, and pulled Rock to the middle of the ring. He turned his opponent, and the crowd exploded as Shamrock locked in the Ankle Lock!
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
The Ankle Lock is locked in, and this crowd is rabid! The Rock has to tap out! And if he does, we are going to have a new Intercontinental Champion!
Rock had no option but to tap out, as the damage to the leg sustained during the match was taking its toll. But just when it seemed that there would be a new Intercontinental Champion, Rock tried a last move out of desperation - he used all of his strength to shove Shamrock with his leg to the ropes! Shamrock didn't feel anything, and went after Rocky again, but he stepped out of the way and Shamrock went face-first into the ropes! Rock then rolled Shamrock up for the 1-2-3 to retain his title in a good matchup!

Notes: 11:03.
Yes! The Rock did it! I told you, JR! The Rock did exactly what he said, because he's the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time! And that's the truth, Kenny!
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
C'mon King, you have to admit that Ken Shamrock offered The Rock a huge challenge. In that Ankle Lock, i'd be surprised if someone didn't think that The Rock would tap out there. But then...uh-oh, King, i've received word that there is some commotion backstage, right before the Rumble Match! Let's cut to the scene!
Backstage, we have some destruction on the scene, and nobody knows what happened. After some moments, out of the room steps out Savio Vega and his fellow Los Boricuas. Vega looks happy and smiles to his laughing partners, and he says ''We did it'' as they nod. The EMTs arrive at the scene, and one has to wonder what the hell happened there. Savio and the Boricuas leave, as the EMTs enter the room that the Boricuas were previously on.

Ladies and gentlemen, what happened inside that room is a mystery. But we will sure give you the updates when and if we get any word from the EMTs.
Savio and those wise Boricuas destroyed Stone Cold backstage, and that's the ''mystery''! Ha! That idiot finally got what was coming, he was deserving it! Now we can finally get some deserving winner to the Rumble tonight! I can't wait!
We are backstage with D-Generation X, and Michaels says they requested air time for Triple H to talk about his spot in the Rumble Match. Michaels said nothing about his match with The Undertaker later in the night, though.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/TripleH101_zpsb2d1657c.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
So, thanks to my unfortunate leg injury, i'm unable to compete in the following contest. I'll watch this and Shawn's matches with Chyna here as she keeps any uninvited guests out of this room. I spoke with that idiot Slaughter and he didn't accept my request of letting her enter in my place, instead, he gave the spot to a ''returning guy''. Whoever it is, it is some boring sucker, but that is not the case. The case is, i'll be able to wrestle soon, and when i do, i'll compensate this by going back to the top where i belong along with Shawn. Now, let the games begin.

Notes: Triple H improvised well. Now, ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE?
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/JimRoss3_zps9894f499.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
King, do you wonder if that leg will ever ''heal''? That's a fake injury and that is obvious! But now, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the 1998 Royal Rumble Match! Howard Finkel is in the ring, and we are on!
The Royal Rumble Match

Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the 1998 Royal Rumble Match! Now in this match, the two participants who drew numbers 1 and 2 will begin the match. After 90 seconds thereafter, another participant enters until all 30 men enter. Elimination occurs when you go over the top rope and both feet touch the ground. The winner will be the last man standing, who will be declared the winner of the Royal Rumble and will go on to face the World Champion at WrestleMania XIV! And now...let's find out who drew number 1!
Cactus Jack's theme song explodes at the arena, and he comes in to a huge pop, throwing trash cans around the ringside. He enters the ring and awaits for his foe, smiling.
Chainsaw Charlie's theme plays at the arena, and Cactus is amused in the ring. The crowd gives him a good pop too, and the two tag team partners are set to start the 11th Royal Rumble Match!

We get in to a wacky start as the tag team partners throw chairs and trash cans in the ring, creating a unique feeling in this early going. The two hit each other with the chairs and cans, with one even telling the other to do so. Cactus and Chainsaw dealed big time damage to each other, but neither men tried to get the other over the top rope, though, as the buzzer rang in for the third entrant.

Tom Brandi is the third man to join the fray, and he makes a huge mistake by going right after both men. This mistake comes back to haunt Tom, and Cactus and Chainsaw punch him down and throw him over the top rope for our first elimination! Cactus climbs to the top rope to celebrate the elimination, and a dazed Chainsaw low blows him, before falling himself, as the buzzer rings again.

Mankind
As the last 9 are left in the ring, the chaos doesn't stop, as everyone is involved in a brawl. Henry O. Godwinn is quickly eliminated by Ken Shamrock with a Back Body Drop, and Goldust is dumped by the World's Most Dangerous Man shortly thereafter too. Now we have 7, and Mankind throws the newcomer Steve Blackman out of the ring after a good showing by him. After this, he makes a beeline for Chainsaw Charlie. Terry Funk is known for being one hell of a tough fighter, and he showed this by staying for some 50 minutes in this match, but after all of this, nothing could stop Mankind from Mandible Clawing him over the top rope.
With 5 men left, everybody retreated to a place. Austin, Rocky, Shamrock and Faarooq to a corner, and Mankind to a rope. After some moments, Faarooq and Rocky looked to each other...and attacked Mankind! Austin and Shamrock looked to each other too, but they attacked each other! Chaos reigned supreme in the ring, as the crowd was exploding. No eliminations ocurred for some 2 minutes, but this streak was broken by Faarooq and Rocky, who double teamed to eliminate Mankind from the Rumble! Soon, Ken Shamrock went after both men, but the numbers caught him, and he was eliminated too, after a great performance.
And the last 3 were Steve Austin, The Rock and Faarooq. The crowd booed as it seemed that Faarooq and Rocky would team to eliminate one more wrestler in Stone Cold. Rocky told Faarooq to go first, and much to the confusion of everyone, Rocky jumped Faarooq from behind and eliminated him! Faarooq was shocked, but as he saw that it was Rocky, he was livid. Rocky had no answers to Faarooq's tantrum, though, as he was the last remaining man against Austin. Rocky taunted Austin and slapped him, but when Austin got back up, Rocky retreated, before going back. The two engaged in a fist battle, and Rocky won the battle, ultimately throwing Austin over the top rope...BUT HE HUNG ON! Rocky thought that he had won, though, and saluted the crowd with his fist and celebrated. When he turned, though, Austin saluted him with his middle fingers, Stunned him, and threw him over the top rope to win the Royal Rumble Match!

Ladies and gentlemen, what a night it has been so far, but we still have our Main Event, and it is for the World Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Title.
A video package about the following match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker was shown, the same that was shown on both Shotgun and Raw is War. The match is up next.

Now, i can't wait to see that Dead idiot being closed in that Casket! That would make the night better after that shitty Rumble Match!
The bell rings, and the bell tolls, and the crowd explodes, as it is obvious that it is The Undertaker coming down to the ring. He looks focused as ever, as he's ready to try and have his revenge against Shawn Michaels.
The following contest is the Main Event, and it is a Casket Match for the World Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, the challenger...from Death Valley, weighing in at 299 pounds...The Undertaker!
After the lights go back to normal, the World Champion himself makes his way to the ring to the biggest heat of the night. Michaels has nothing to say to the crowd, though, as he's focused. He kisses his belt before entering the ring.
http://i1313.photobucket.com/albums/t548/Smasher1311/WWF%201997/HowardFinkel_zpsb411098f.jpghttp://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png
And his opponent, from San Antonio, Texas, weighing in at 225 pounds...he is the World Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion...The ''Heartbreak Kid'', Shawn Michaels!
The main event starts with a staredown between the two opponents. The Undertaker could not wait for the bell to ring so he could get his hands on Michaels, but the champion looked like he wanted to end this rather quickly. As the bell rang, Michaels started to play mind games with the Deadman, as he left the ring and grabbed his title. Michaels started leaving, and the crowd booed him heavily.
However, The Undertaker went after Michaels and punched him on the back of his head. Taker threw Michaels in the side of the Casket, to a huge pop from the crowd. Taker went after Michaels, but he pulled Taker's leg and the Deadman fell face first into the Casket. Michaels then quickly grabbed a chair and started hitting Taker with it. Taker, filled with revenge, would feel little pain, however, and went right after his opponent. Taker violently pulled him back to the ring, and Taker dominated for a while, before the champion came back to the match and the two started to brawl. Michaels eventually got the advantage by low blowing his opponent, and he started hitting Undertaker's leg, with a wise Figure-Four Leglock applied.
After this, Michaels rolled out to the ringside, and he opened the Casket. Michaels laughed, but it didn't last enough, as somehow, when he looked back to the ring, The Undertaker was up on his feet, and jumped from the ring right into Michaels! The crowd exploded at the sight of this, as it was truly fascinating. The two did not get back to their feet for nearly a minute, but they did get back to their feet together. The Undertaker landed a array of punches on Michaels, and bashed his skull right into the Casket. The Undertaker tried to throw Michaels in the Casket early, but the Champion survived the Test of Strength with the Phenom, and speared him into the apron! The Undertaker got into fours, and Michaels kicked him in the skull for him to get fully down. It was Michaels' turn now to try and get Taker into the Casket, but he was dead weight. He hit a Double Axe Handle from the apron to Taker, but he couldn't get him into the Casket after it too.
Michaels then dragged Taker to the barricade with all of his strength, and tried to suplex him into the crowd, but Taker countered the suplex into his own, and Michaels was thrown back first into the concrete of the crowd! The crowd exploded once again, and Taker pulled Michaels to his feet again. He positioned him in the barricade, and hit a Big Boot that took Michaels' head off! Taker then caught Michaels in a position that we've never seen before from him, in what looked like a Reverse Tombstone Piledriver position. He carried Michaels all the way from the barricade to the casket, and he tried to Reverse Tombstone Michaels into the Casket...but Michaels ended up on his feet and behind Taker! Michaels then pushed Taker, who avoided getting in the Casket and turned...but took a Sweet Chin Music that knocked him out! Taker was backwards nearly into the Casket, and Michaels tried to push him into it using his leg.
This time, Michaels got Taker into the Casket, and went on to close it. He nearly closed it...but was choked from out of nowhere! Taker still had some fight on him, and choked Michaels as he left the Casket. He went in for the Chokeslam...but Michaels low blowed him with his leg! The crowd booed the champion heavily, but he had nothing to tell them again. He entered the ring once again and cimbed to the top of the corner, getting in backwards to The Undertaker, who was getting back to his feet. Michaels left everybody amused when he went on for a huge Moonsault from the ring to The Undertaker who was outside - but it was countered! The Undertaker grabbed Michaels in mid-air, right into the Tombstone position! Taker turned himself and Michaels to the Casket, and he went for the Tombstone on the Casket...OR DID HE?
A huge explosion interrupts the match, and it's Kane, with Paul Bearer screaming after him. Taker just Tombstoned Michaels on the concrete as he stared his brother. Kane and The Undertaker seemed to understand each other, and Taker got Michaels up...OR DID HE AGAIN? For the confusion of everybody once again, Kane punches his brother from behind, days after saving him from D-Generation X! Kane brutalizes his brother, and Chokeslams him on the concrete! Kane then Tombstones his brother right into the Casket, and closes the lid, giving Shawn Michaels the win!

My God, Kane just Tombstoned his brother right into that Casket! Oh my god, that was unbelievable. Now get the hell out of there Shawn, this man...monster is crazy!
After the match, Shawn Michaels grabs his title and vanishes to the back as soon as he's announced as the winner, and Paul Bearer laughs as Kane looks at the closed Casket with his brother inside. Bearer gives Kane something and the Monster grabs it...and...IT'S A MATCHBOX! Bearer grabs gasoline and puts some into the Casket, and Kane throws the match into the Casket, and The Undertaker is burned with the Casket! The crowd has no reaction now, as this is not a normal scene, and Kane has apparently burned his brother. There are simply no comments from JR and King anymore, and Kane opens the Casket. Inside...there is nobody on it anymore! Kane looks for his brother in the arena, but there is no one. The crowd now cheers, and the lights are turned off, bringing a explosion to the crowd! When it comes back, there is no Kane and no Paul Bearer on the stage!
