Fjodor Kanchelskis © v Fernando Amaro

Amaro is more well rounded, and tends to do well in the later rounds.

Pedro Alves v Jason Dalglish

Alves is a bit rubbish tbh.

Souleyman Ya Konan v Mugur Boc

This is a tough one, but I think that Ya Konan will just edge it.

Andranik Paletilolu v Rafael van der Moot

van der Moot is a machine, easy win for him.

Georges Nouri v Maurice Braudel

Braudel is underrated but Nouri has been a tough player for me in my DOMMA game. Nouri by submission.

Good ground work from Plasil – he saw that Greis was comfortable whilst he had guard control and got himself into side control to finish the fight. WEFF 6 on Thursday 11th July saw WEFF Lightweight champion Michelle Addams (#2, 8-0) in action against #3 ranked Lisa Labone (5-0) in a hotly anticipated matchup of two of the worlds best women fighters. Someone scored him a 10-8 for the first round, which was generous. A better outing for Maier, with the fight mostly taking place upright. Ludwig might be heading for matches against rookies after this one. Maier wants to fight newcomer Guilherme Faure next, but I can probably think of a better match-up.

Alvaro Negredo (19-9) v Heiko Pander (1-0)

>Another match is about to begin; Alvaro 'The Hornet' Negredo competes against 'Mighty Mouse' Heiko Pander in the SIGMA Featherweight division.

>There's the opening bell!

>Negredo tries for a left jab but Pander moves out of range.

>A feint puts him off balance, but Pander is still able to slip out of the way of a body kick.

>A jab doesn't find its intended target, allowing Negredo to fire back with a crisp jab.

>Pander shoots in for a takedown.

>Negredo tries to step away from the takedown.

>The takedown doesn't work, Negredo saw it coming and got out of range.

>Pander looks to move in and stand in the pocket.

>Keen to maintain some distance, Negredo uses strikes to keep Pander away.

>We've now passed the halfway mark in this round.

>Pander looks to move in and stand in the pocket.

>Pander moves into the pocket.

>Using head movement, Pander slips past a left jab and counters with a nice left.

>Both fighters come in and exchange strikes, but neither does any damage.

>There is an exchange of strikes, but neither fighter does any damage.

>Stepping back, Negredo creates a bit of distance.

>We move into the final sixty seconds of this round.

>Negredo glances a strike off the side of the shoulder.

>It seems that Pander is happy to let Negredo circle for the moment.

>Pander slips out of the way of a flurry of punches.

>The time is up, and that's the end of round one.

>That wasn't the most exciting round we've ever seen, hopefully things will pick up in the next one.

>That was a close round, but I'm giving it to Negredo, 10-9.

>There's the bell for the start of the round!

>Pander steps in, faking as if going for a shot, but Negredo is alive to the deception.

>Pander fakes shooting in.

>Pander catches a weak right kick to the legs and uses it to go for a takedown, down goes Negredo! The champ did all he could to stay in control and away from Cabal's thunderous right hand, and for three rounds did just that, but Cabal showed his power at the end of the second and then again in the fourth to make sure he got the job done. Both guys might get a rest for a few months after that, whilst we sort out their next opponents.

Show summary

Critical rating: Good

Commercial success: Great

Fight of the Night: Grzegorz Boniek v Terron Cabal

Knockout of the Night: Dag Kreuger

Submission of the Night: -

Comments: Great way to finish the night but some disappointing performances earlier. Injury report

Bjarne Bjerre managed to pick up injuries to both arm and head, and the latter will keep him out longer, but it looks like it will be 6-7 weeks before he can return to action.

The athletic commission have imposed precautionary suspensions of 1 month on Grzegorz Boniek, 2 months on Jacob Matthaus and 3 months on Alvaro Negredo, but the latter one is largely moot as far as SIGMA is concerned, as his contract is up and we won't be renewing it after his two poor performances this year - he might get another fight if he's lucky, but I expect him to be gone by the time we come to his contract's end.

New contacts have been offered to Uwe Maier, Piotr Dabrowski, Bjarne Bjerre, Stratos Papaioannou and Kurt McDonald.
