Schaedler

Triple H: I've heard people say online that Triple H was never as big of a deal as he's being made out to be. In this history however he's legitimately earned his spot as the #3 biggest star of the Attitude Era, arguably even #2 just behind Austin. He has Stephanie with him because I was using her as a backstage interviewer when she first debuted and I decided it would be entertaining to imagine her cutting people like Jericho short when he started taking shots at her "boyfriend" and insisting the interview was over.

Hunter was the guy I ended up using as a ruthless heel who would do anything to win when The Rock experiment failed and he succeeded better than I could have imagined. I was however dealt a blow when he left for 4-5 months at the end of 2001 to film a movie and I had to get creative and bring HBK back as a heel when I originally planned for him to be a face. He was the only guy who could have taken Triple H's spot for that prolonged period. I also used Hunter to make the Tag titles more prestigious as he formed tag teams with Austin and Kurt Angle to feud with people like the Brothers of Destruction, Hardys and E&C.

Evolution: It was a huge failure, partly the random generators fault, partly mine. Ric Flair and Triple H were doing great in their roles as they brought Batista and Randy Orton out of obscurity. I hit a wall however as Randy made slow progress in gaining popularity despite being the US Champion and beating people like Kane, Hulk Hogan and Owen Hart.

I had Chris Benoit, who at the time was the Undisputed Champion, beat him at King of the Ring in a match where I kept Randy strong to potentially build him up more and he lost almost 20 popularity points by taking a protected loss to a massively popular opponent. His push died out pretty quickly after that.

Batista, I accidentally let go when I lost the email about his contract renewal in amongst a bunch of people in OWV complaining about being ready for the main roster. I recently signed him back but I don't know how well he'll do.

Evolution eventually broke apart with a wimper when I sent Triple H to Smackdown to fill a major star power gap. It's closer overall in its rise and fall to the Nexus than to the historical evolution group.

The Rock: I built him up with the intention of having him as one of my main guys. The problem is however that no matter who I put him over he'd start losing popularity the second he got it. He'd beat the Undertaker on Raw and by the time the next Raw came around he'd be down 1-2 points. Even more if I didn't feed more big name stars to him.

Eventually I realized that keeping the Rock on top was hurting the whole company as I was making people like Mankind and The Undertaker, who could hold popularity fine, job to a guy who would always lose popularity until he was in the 60s. I kept him going until Wrestlemania, had Austin beat him and never looked back. He later became the People's European champion.

Val Venis: The guy is some kind of wonder, I haven't actively pushed him since he won his last Intercontinental title in 2000 (my intercontinental title is treated almost like a third world title. Its actually meaningful if you win it). Despite that he's been constantly over and I can count on him to fill in for the main event in a pinch if I need him to.

I'm utterly bewildered though that he managed to make Sting and Undertaker his best friends and started dating arguably one of the hottest women in the WWE. I have no way to describe it other than utter confusion but I love him for how much he's accomplishing.

Very, very interesting! I could ask you a million questions about the history. One thing that's bringing me down is that Takers streak came to an end at Mania to Brock by the looks of it. That kind of disappoints me <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I'm very intrigued at Brock Lesnars path to the top. It looks like you have Shane managing him, how'd did his push differ from real life?

Shane's been in his corner since his arrival and constantly hyping him up until I discovered that Brock isn't terrible at talking and now he's mostly just in his corner all the time.

Captain2
Oh, and I've got another question. You had Kane win the 2000 Royal Rumble, but then you had him in a midcard match at Mania against Eddie Guerrero instead of in the Four way match. What was the storyline there? He received his title shot on Raw with the winner going into the four way match. Triple H won so he went ahead instead. I think I did that because Kane's popularity wasn't going up on the road to Wrestlemania and I was afraid he'd tank the entire show.

3rdStringPG
Just started reading this, and I must admit I'm impressed. Don't really go much for historical diaries, but the approach here is totally different (in a good way) and it's definitely interesting to see how you "reinvented" the Attitude Era over a span of 1,000 shows. Keep it up! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
