Back from Japan and just got caught up with this. Latter part of my holiday, just didn't have time to look at the forums. Anyway onto predictions....

IWGP WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT - Kazuchika Okada © vs CM Punk

As with A.J in real life, I expect the new addition to the Bullet Club to end Okada's long reign as champion.

IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL - Hiroshi Tanahashi © vs Tomohiro Ishii

As much as I like Ishii, he isn't ready to go over someone of Tanahashi's stature for a title.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Tetsuya Naito

With the fact that you have written the NEVER Openweight title out, I suspect that you are gradually going to transition the Intercontinental belt to an Upper-mid belt, rather than be an alternate main event title. I think Naito gets the upset win here, and eventually takes the belt off Tanahashi- freeing up both of the bigger names to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight title.

IWGP TAG TEAM - Anderson & Gallows © vs Yano & Yujiro

Can't see the makeshift CHAOS team of Yano & Yujiro getting the win here.

Masato Tanaka vs Yuji Nagata

Because Nagata's more of a full time NJPW guy, I would have to give him the edge here.

Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Homna vs Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata

Team Best friend get the win here to set up a challenge against Bad Intentions Version 2.0

TAKA Michinoku vs Alex Shelley vs BUSHI vs El Desperado

I think this is between Desperado and Shelley, because TAKA is kind of past his sell by date and is primarily a tag guy these days and BUSHI is near the lower end of the Junior Division. Going on the fact that Shelley has the Time Splitters to fall back on, I will go for Desperado to continue having something of a push.

Just out of curiosity, why is the BOSJ only having 8 participants?

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT - Satoshi Kojima © vs Rhino

Well Rhino's certainly an upgrade on the duffers NJPW bring in, in real life. I did think about having Rhino win here, but I thought having two gaijin invaders win would be too much.

IWGP JUNIOR TAG TEAM - The Young Bucks © vs The American Wolves

Wolves need establishing in front of the NJPW crowd, before they take the belts here....make them chase the Bucks for the titles.

These two go at it tooth and nail and the Japanese crowd loveeeee it! Rhino proves that even at 38 he is still a very capable brawler and he matches Kojima all the way here. Bruce Tharpe grins maniacally on the outside after Rhino hits Kojima with a Belly-To-Belly Suplex onto the concrete outside the ring. The action spills back into the ring and the crowd pop big for the Kojima comeback. Rhino goes for a last-ditch Gore attempt but Kojima side-steps and Rhino goes head first into the turnbuckle padding! As expected this is quick and exciting but there's nobody here for the fans to really get behind. We work the typical formula for matches like this, two guys go at it in the ring whilst the other two nurse their wounds outside before jumping back into the action. Eventually all four are in the ring and there's a series of spots including TAKA delivering Running Knees to everybody until all three of his opponents rush out of their corners and simultaneously Dropkick him into next week. As we near the finish, TAKA is taken out by the Guiterra de la Muerta from Desperado but BUSHI breaks up the count before the 3! Desperado fights with Shelley and then takes him out with a Hurricanrana to the outside but El Desperado turns around right into the MX from BUSHI! 1 - 2 - 3! It tells you everything about the competition in NJPW that two wrestlers worthy of World Championships want the Tag Championships just as desperately. These four are among the toughest members on the New Japan roster, so this one should be an interesting contest. There's no headlocks or collar-and-elbows here folks, the bell rings and the war commences. Homna charges at Shibata, Shibata charges at Homna and they begin pummelling the absolute sweat out of each other. Forearm after forearm and it's Shibata who gets the better of his opponent, he runs to the ropes, goes for a Lariat but Homna ducks and kills Shibata with a stiff German Suplex! but Shibata is straight back up! He charges behind his opponent and takes Homna out with a Belly-To-Back Suplex but then Homna is straight back up! Both guys go back to trading forearms but still nobody gets the advantage… Makabe charges in and takes out Shibata so Goto runs in and takes out Homna. Now it's time for Goto and Makabe to go at it and they pick up exactly where their partners left off. As the match goes on, both teams double-team a single opponent whilst their partner is on the outside. Makabe & Homna begin to smell victory when Homna connects with a Diving Headbutt to Shibata, Makabe begins climbing up top but then Goto pushes Homna into the ropes! Makabe crashes straight down on his crown jewels! That's the turning point as Goto & Shibata take Makabe out with a Double Fireman's Carry Neckbreaker. Shibata slaps on the Sleeper Hold on Homna and Goto delivers a Penalty Kick! Goto seats an almost unconscious Tomoaki Homna up and then Shibata will finish this one off with an even harder Penalty Kick.

Winner: Katsuyori Shibata & Hirooki Goto via Double Penalty Kick at 15:03

Grade: 79 (B)

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/MasatoTanaka_zps01117265.jpghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/vs-graphic_zps70ebb88c.pnghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/YujiNagata_zps9a7da98e.jpg
Masato Tanaka vs Yuji Nagata

If Nagata wins here, he will be hard to overlook when it comes to finding a title challenger for Dominion. He's a league apart from Masato Tanaka here who tries to weaken Nagata sufficiently to hit one of his three finishing moves. Nagata sustains some serious punishment including a Powerbomb into the turnbuckle post and then Tanaka gets a very close near-fall with a Dangan Bomb. He looks for a Tornado DDT in the corner but Nagata fights him off and counters into a Northern Lights Suplex for a 2-count. As Nagata begins to find answers, Tanaka goes a desperate Roaring Elbow but his opponent ducks and Nagata counters it into a Crossface attempt… but then Tanaka rolls through and counters that into a small package! 1 - 2 - only 2! Tanaka runs to the ropes but Nagata catches him with an Overhead Belly-To-Belly! Nagata goes for some body kicks but Tanaka catches his leg, swivels him round and nearly breaks Nagata's neck with a stiff Bridging German Suplex! 1… 2… no! Masato Tanaka says enough is enough and signals for another Roaring Elbow, to the ropes but Nagata again gets out the way! Nagata tries to set up a Belly-To-Back Suplex but Tanaka blocks, he runs to the ropes and looks for a Lariat but Nagata again ducks, and there's the High-Angle Belly-To-Back Suplex! 1… 2… 3!

Winner: Yuji Nagata via High-Angle Belly-To-Back Suplex at 14:54

Grade: 82 (B)

And now it's time for the intermission! This one starts out as an all-out brawl as all four fight and scrap on the outside of the ring. Anderson & Gallows double team Takahashi and then they irish whip him into one of the turnbuckle posts. This allows the Champions to double team Yano in the ring as they stomp away and look to keep him grounded. Yujiro tries to fire the crowd up from the apron as Yano begins to fight back but Gallows stunts his momentum with a Big Boot. Bullet Club attempt a double team in the corner but Yano dodges a big splash from Gallows and then pushes the dazed big man into his own partner! The hot tag is made to Yujiro who comes in like a house on fire, clotheslines to both Gallows and Anderson, he ducks a Lariat attempt and then takes Anderson out with a German Suplex! Gallows charges in but Yujiro ducks a Lariat from him too and then gives the big man the same treatment with another German Suplex! Yujiro is slowed by Karl Anderson with a big running dropkick, but it doesn't last long as Takahashi blocks a Gun Stun attempt, blocks a Lariat and then takes Anderson down with an Olympic Slam. Gallows comes back in and begins setting up the Gallows Pole but Yujiro stamps on his foot, breaks the grip, swivels behind and then delivers a big Olympic Slam to Doc Gallows! He drapes an arm across… 1… 2… but one half of the IWGP World Tag Team Champions gets his shoulder up! Takahashi crawls to his corner to make the tag but from behind! Anderson pulls Yano down and takes him out with a Gun Stun on the concrete! Yujiro scraps desperately against Gallows who finally manages to hit the Gallows Pole! They bring Yujiro back to his feet and pick up another victory with a Magic Killer.

Winner: Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows via Magic Killer at 14:48

Bullet Club make defence number three of their IWGP World Tag Team Championships.

Grade: 70 (C+)

As the Champions exist the ringside area with their Championships, Takashi Iizuka emerges from the crowd. Yujiro takes exception to this and says that he's a better tag team partner than Iizuka ever was. Just before the two come to blows, Yano separates them and says that instead of arguing, they should fight for his tag team partnership! And the loser… must leave Chaos! It's the King Of Strong Style who plays the heel here, he keeps Naito in his grasp and doesn't allow the G1 Climax winner to hit any of his explosive offense in the early going. Naito repeatedly tries to rally back and stun his opponent enough to get some breathing space but Nakamura constantly shuts him down, usually with some kind of knee strike. However, Naito gets back into the match when Shinsuke misses with a Running Knee in the corner. A Snapmare is proceeded by a Dropkick which is then proceeded by a running Somersault Senton. The two then exchange elbows until Naito goes for a German Suplex but Nakamura counters out, goes behind and returns fire with a Back Stabber. Nakamura brings his opponent back to his feet and goes for an Inverted Powerslam but its blocked, Naito goes to the ropes and looks for his signature diving Lariat but Nakamura counters it with a Double Knee Facebuster. He's had control all match and now Nakamura looks to put his opponent away. Naito blocks a Spin Kick and returns fire with a Bridging Dragon Suplex! Naito hits the Gloria and now it's time for the Stardust Press… he climbs up top, sets himself, but Nakamura rolls out the way! He waits for Naito to get up… Boma Ye! but Naito rolls out the way! Ishii pushes the Champion to the limit here as he really inflicts some serious hurting on Tanahashi in the early going. He takes him into the corner and just repeatedly smashes him with elbows until Tanahashi can no longer stand. Eventually the Champion manages to mount some serious offence when he gets a head of steam and takes Ishii down with a Flying Forearm. There's an array of counters here as both try to avoid the other's signature moves but Ishii can do little to prevent himself being German Suplexed after he blocks Tanahashi's Dragon Suplex. Ishii's response is to just to Lariat the absolute life out of the Champion, there's nothing subtle or fancy about that. Both guys are back to their feet and Ishii goes for a gut kick but Tanahashi catches his foot and takes him down with a Dragon Screw. Tanahashi takes control and hits his signature second-rope Somersault Senton for a near-fall but Ishii fights right back with an Enzuigiri. Tanahashi goes for a Dragon Suplex but for a second time, Ishii is able to fight out and he answers with a German Suplex of his own for a 2 count. That's followed by another one of Ishii's signature moves as he takes Tanahashi up and plants him with a Powerbomb! 1… 2… kick out! Ishii brings the Champion back to his feet and takes him up for a Brainbuster but Tanahashi floats over, Dragon Suplex! 1… 2… Ishii kicks out! And then the Challenger gets straight back up and kills Tanahashi with a Lariat! Lateral press, 1… and Tanahashi kicks out at 1! As if we haven't had enough drama tonight, we still have this match to go. This is the in-ring debut of CM Punk, who attacked Kazuchika Okada after Invasion Attack wearing a Bullet Club T-Shirt. It's also worth noting that Bullet Club are a year old now, can they capture the most prestigious prize in professional wrestling on their anniversary? The bell rings and a big roar from the crowd fills the arena as Okada and Punk stare each other down coldly on opposite sides of the ring. Neither man budges until Okada turns away calmly to respond to Gedo on the outside of the ring. We start slowly and tentatively as these two unfamiliar opponents begin to lock up and chain wrestle, Punk instantly targets the arm but his opponent evades his advances and stays on the move before targeting Punk's left knee, the one he has to stand on when he delivers the Go To Sleep. Okada locks in a Leg Lock but Punk manages to scramble to the ropes and we get a clean break. It's CM Punk however who takes control early on when he starts working over Okada's right arm, he takes the Champion down and begins dropping Knee Drops on that all important Rainmaker arm. The Best In The World then applies a series of holds and arm locks to try and keep Okada's flashy offence at bay. He goes for a Fujiwara Armbar but the Champion manages to scrap to the ropes again and we get another clean break. Now CM Punk gets dirty as he locks on a blatant choke and begins stomping away at Okada's arm relentlessly. The Rainmaker tries to take evasive action on the outside but Punk follows him out and sends Okada into the guardrail who clatters his right arm hard onto the steel. Back to the ring now and CM Punk irish whips Okada to the corner, he charges in and looks for a Running Knee but Okada moves out the way, Punk lands on the second rope and Okada dropkicks him in the back and Punk goes up and over and crashes onto the ring apron before hitting the floor! Now the Champion begins nursing his arm as he gets the blood flowing, Punk slowly starts getting back to his feet so Okada charges to the ropes and takes Punk out with a Tope Con Hilo to the outside!

Now it's time for reigning Champion to take control as he begins to work Punk over in the corner with kicks to the gut. he pulls the former WWE Champion away and connects with a Body Slam before hitting a picture perfect Hilo from the ring apron! Now he takes Punk to the middle of the ring, lifts him up into a fireman's carry and connects with Heavy Rain! Lateral press, 1… 2… and Punk rolls his shoulder out. There's no respite for Bullet Club's newest member though, Okada instantly snapmares Punk before locking in the Deep In Debt. Punk writhes in pain as his arms are stretched backwards but he manages to scrap and kick himself to the ropes. Okada then brings his opponent back to his feet again and connects with a Scoop Slam before climbing up to the top rope, Diving Elbow Drop! Eat your heart out Randy Savage! The camera is prepped and there's the Rainmaker pose! Okada grabs Punk's trunks but all of a sudden Anderson & Gallows charge into the ring! They go for a Double Lariat but Okada ducks, he hits Karl Anderson with a stiff European Uppercut and he's knocked to the outside. Gallows goes for a Big Boot but Okada slips behind, grabs his right arm, swivels Gallows around and then nails him with The Rainmaker! But now Bad Luck Fale is in and he clobbers Okada from behind! He brings the dazed Champion back to his feet, lifts him up in the Outsiders Edge position and connects with the Bad Luck Fall! Satisfied with their work, all three Bullet Club members leave the Champion laid out in the middle of the ring. CM Punk crawls across, makes the cover…

1…

2…

and Okada kicks out! He's not giving up without a fight, but now the challenger is in the ascendancy. CM Punk brings Okada back to his feet, irish whip into the corner, Running Knee to the chin and then a Bulldog! Another cover, 1… 2… and again Okada kicks out! Punk climbs to the top rope and pays homage to Randy Savage with his arms pointing upwards and he drops the Elbow! 1… 2… and Okada kicks out again! A frustrated CM Punk brings the Champion back to his feet, he runs to the ropes, charges in but Okada catches him clean on the chin with that signature Dropkick! Now both guys are down flat on the canvas as Tiger Hattori begins counting, we get to 8 and both rise back to their feet. They're both in pain, they've both absorbed an incredible amount of punishment but we must have a winner. As they kneel down, both Punk and Okada trade elbow smashes back and forth… Okada charges to the ropes and goes for a Dropkick but Punk rolls out the way, Okada runs in but Punk catches him flush with a clean Roundhouse Kick straight to the head! The Champion falls to the mat like a sack of potatoes! Punk covers - 1… 2… thr - no! Okada kicks out at 2.999! There's a roar from the crowd, many thought that Punk had pinned the Champion there! Punk gets back to this feet and does the head on pillow taunt, it's time for Okada to go to sleep. He takes the Champion up onto his shoulders but Okada swivels out, takes Punk up in a Reverse Belly-To-Belly and connects with the Reverse Neckbreaker! He hooks the leg, 1… 2… but Punk shows some resilience of his own kicking out! Okada brings a dazed CM Punk back to his feet, and nearly breaks the mans neck with a Tombstone Piledriver! We all know what's next, Punk is bought back up again, Okada grabs his trunks… grabs the right arm with his left hand… swivels him around… Rainmaker! But CM Punk kicks the right arm away! He goes for another Roundhouse Kick but Okada ducks, grabs the right arm again… swivels him around again… but this time CM Punk ducks under the Lariat and pulls Okada back towards him because he never let go of that right arm! Okada is taken straight up onto Punk's shoulders and now the Champion is in serious trouble! GO TO SLEEP!!!

1…

2…

3!!! Okada is rolled out the ring and escorted to the back as two ringside staff members put ice packs on his neck and right arm. The Young Bucks, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale spark a victory celebration in the ring as black and white confetti rains down on top of CM Punk who is nearly reduced to tears when handed the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The Toda Motorboat Race Place sits in shocked silence, not knowing whether to boo or cheer. All of a sudden, Karl Anderson pops open a bottle of Champagne and showers everybody in the ring with it. The show closes with CM Punk celebrating in front of nearly 24,000 fans on the second turnbuckle, the first American to hold that title in nine years. The landscape of New Japan Pro Wrestling may have been changed forever.

Grade: 86 (B+)

Show Grade: 86 (B+)

Buy Rate: 1.84

This show increased our popularity in 28 regions.

As far as Jushin Thunder Liger! This is a tough one. I don't know if you want to get someone from outside NJPW for a one off match but Liger vs. AJ Styles could be interesting. Then Jushin Thunder Liger vs. BUSHI and lastly Liger vs. CM Punk! Yes Liger going up against the new IWGP champion in his final match!.

This is an exciting open match with both competitors getting the jam packed Osaka Castle Hall nicely warmed up for a night of Junior action. KUSHIDA shows a little bit of the glitzy offence that has made him a former IWGP Junior Tag Team Champion with a Cartwheel Dropkick catching his opponent flush on the chin. KUSHIDA then takes a small step towards becoming the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion when he reverses a Tiger Bomb attempt into a Hurricanrana before making Tiger Mask IV tap out to a Crossface.

Winner: KUSHIDA via Crossface at 10:20

Grade: 65 ©

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/KotaIbushi_zpsa8bf250f.jpghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/vs-graphic_zps70ebb88c.pnghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/BUSHI_zps5604dcb2.jpg
Best Of The Super Juniors Quarter-Final

Kota Ibushi vs BUSHI

BUSHI qualified for this tournament against the odds by topping TAKA Michinoku, El Desperado and Alex Shelley in a four-way dance at Wrestling Dontaku. He probably has the toughest start of any of the eight competitors against the current reigning and defending IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Kota Ibushi. But BUSHI has defied the odds once and he gives 110% here to try and make sure he does it again. Ibushi struggles to get any rhythm going in the first half of the match as BUSHI gets his knees up on a Standing Shooting Star Press before a Tornado DDT leaves Ibushi retreating to the outside. He should have known he'd never be safe there as BUSHI goes high risk and takes his opponent out with a Corkscrew Plancha over the top rope. Despite BUSHI's best efforts, he can do very little when Ibushi really gets a head of steam. A Sit-Out Powerbomb gets the Champion a really close two count and then Ibushi begins looking to set up for the Pheonix Splash. He pulls BUSHI back to his feet but he hits the MX out of nowhere!!! BUSHI covers! 1… 2… No! Ibushi kicks out just before the 3! BUSHI quickly climbs to the top rope and looks for the MX from there but Kota Ibushi dodges out the way and quickly squashes his opponent with a Standing Corkscrew Splash! There's no time to be wasted, the Champion goes back up top, Phoenix Splash! 1… 2… 3! Ibushi advances despite a determined, gutsy effort from BUSHI who may have just improve his fortunes tenfold here in New Japan.

Winner: Kota Ibushi via Phoenix Splash at 14:11

Grade: 69 (C+)

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/RyusukeTaguchi_zpse47a7029.jpghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/vs-graphic_zps70ebb88c.pnghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/RockyRomero_zps969336ab.jpg
Best Of The Super Juniors Quarter-Final

Ryusuke Taguchi vs Rocky Romero

Taguchi won this tournament in 2012 but he has just come off an unsuccessful challenge for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at Invasion Attack. It's the last night in the world that a Junior would want to underperform but that's exactly what happens here. Rocky Romero shows off his intense arsenal of moves and hits a plethora of running clotheslines in the corner complete with the theatrical shouts and screams. Romero turns around and sets up to Wheelbarrow into his usual partner Alex Koslov, but he freezes when he realises that this isn't a tag match. Taguchi tries to rally back but his offence is largely uninspiring and he never really gets any momentum going here. On another day he might have gotten away with it but tonight, Romero is determined to win this tournament. Taguchi goes for a Dodon but Romero rolls through and counters it into an Ankle Lock. That is enough to keep Taguchi incapacitated long enough for Romero to hit the Foreign Devil (Double Diving Knee Drop) from the top rope and pick up the pinfall victory here.

Winner: Rocky Romero via Foreign Devil at 10:33

Grade: 68 (C+)

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/JushinLiger_zps50a4f6b9.jpghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/vs-graphic_zps70ebb88c.pnghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/Mistico_zps4535b2d8.jpg
Best Of The Super Juniors Quarter-Final

Jushin Thunder Liger vs Mistico

This will be Jushin Thunder Liger's final Best Of The Super Juniors as he will hang his boots up in three month's time. He's facing off against Mistico, who has returned to New Japan after a torrid run in WWE. This is a similar story to the opening match, the wily veteran versus the established youth. Mistico impresses with his flashy offence, he is perhaps one of the impressive lucha's in wrestling today. Liger looks to slow him down and works over every part of Mistico's body before locking on a painful Surfboard Stretch. Every time the Mexican gains momentum and starts stringing together his moves, Liger is there to bring the pace straight down back to his preference. But it's hard to imagine Liger winning without a Liger Bomb or Lou Thesz Press, or Liger Suplex. This is where Mistico finds his opportunity to re-assert control when he counters a Liger Bomb attempt into a Hurricanrana. Mistico begins to quicken the pace without a few armdrags and Liger is hurled to the outside, he swiftly follows that up with a Corkscrew Plancha. No time to waste though, Mistico rolls Liger back in and then hits him with a Springboard Crossbody. Despite his opponent's best efforts, it's apparent that Mistico is getting the better of Jushin Liger. Mistico goes for a Hurricanrana but Liger plants him with a Powerbomb and that gets a really close near fall! Liger looks to finish it off with a Brainbuster but Mistico floats over, runs to the ropes and connects with the La Mistica! Liger fights the pain but swiftly taps out!

Winner: Mistico via La Mistica at 14:47

Grade: 73 (B-)

Having just been defeated in the Quarter-Final, Jushin Liger soaks up the applause and adoration of the Osaka crowd. Tanaka and Ishii prove to a successful pairing and with a bit more experience, you have to imagine they could end up being a genuine threat in the tag division. Naito plays the face in peril here as Ishii and Tanaka tag in and out to keep themselves fresh and force Naito to show some serious endurance as he absorbs punishment for a good ten minutes. The fans roar every time Naito tries to mount a comeback and eventually he's able to get some breathing space from the two CHAOS representives. Tanahashi is tagged in and he comes in like a house on fire as he takes on the last two people he successfully defended his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against. He connects with a Sling Blade to Tanaka but Ishii kills him with a Lariat when he gets up! This brings Naito back in and we get yet another great exchange between the two but it's ended by Tanaka who interjects on that exchange with a Roaring Elbow to Tetsuya Naito! Tanahashi rolls back in and connects with Dropkicks and Dragon Screws to shift the tide back in his team's favour, he connects with another Sling Blade, this time to Ishii. Romero starts quickly and takes control early on, he strings together a series of kicks and clotheslines in the corner before catching KUSHIDA flush with a Missile Dropkick. Romero looks to wrap this one up quickly as he goes for an Ankle Lock but KUSHIDA manages to scrap to the ropes before any damage is done. Rocky Romero continues his onslaught as he forces KUSHIDA to absorb plenty of punishment here in the early going but KUSHIDA rallies back with a Tornado DDT. The difference between the two opponents become apparent as KUSHIDA's offence is so much more decisive, every move is done with some kind of intent and usually followed up by a pin attempt. Romero goes for a series of roll-ups, perhaps in desperation but his complacency leads him into an Asai Moonsault. KUSHIDA sees his opportunity and climbs to the top rope, Midnight Express! 1 - 2 - 3!

Winner: KUSHIDA via Midnight Express (Corkscrew Moonsault) at 11:54

Grade: 70 (C+)

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/KotaIbushi_zpsa8bf250f.jpghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/vs-graphic_zps70ebb88c.pnghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/Mistico_zps4535b2d8.jpg
Best Of The Super Juniors Semi-Final

Kota Ibushi vs Mistico

Now to find out who will join KUSHIDA in the final. This one doesn't end up being the great match I think many might have expected. There's certainly a clash of styles and neither Ibushi nor Mistico have the ability to keep the match entertaining when the pace drops. In effect, you end up watching two highlight reels go toe-to-toe, it's not always the awesome match you expect. Ibushi is the one who impresses more than Mistico here though, who doesn't do much to convince the New Japan fans that he's worthy of his place in the Semi-Finals. There's plenty of exciting action though and the crowd are wowed in the home stretch as both opponents pull out all the stops in an attempt to get the pinfall. But then, Ibushi begins to show serious signs of fatigue… Ibushi plants Mistico with a weak body slam and climbs up top, Pheonix Splash!… but Mistico rolls out the way! Bullet Club bend the rules book to their liking as the fans very quickly decide they are backing CHAOS here. Nakamura is kept isolated but he counters a Grenade attempt from Fale into a Cross Armbreaker and begins the slow crawl to Okada…… and the tag is made! The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion comes in and takes the fight to Bullet Club but he ends up using a lot of his energy heaving the big Bad Luck Fale over his head for the Reverse Neckbreaker. Now it's Okada's time to make the slow crawl to try and tag in his partner as Nakamura now comes in like a house on fire. The Osaka Castle Hall establishes its favourite from the opening bell as a loud KUSHIDA count rings out. These two have used up so much energy throughout the night but KUSHIDA is able to win the early chain wrestling exchanges and starts taking control of the match, he's definitely the slightly fresher of the two having won his matches in less time than his opponent Mistico. This one is a slightly muted affair compared to most Juniors matches as both keep the action tentative but Mistico quickens the pace and shows off his array of flashy moves from arm-drags to Headscissor Takedowns to an array of different kicks. KUSHIDA answers with a Handspring Back Elbow and begins to turn the tide back in his favour as Mistico can do very little but absorb punishment. Mistico goes for a La Mistica but KUSHIDA parries it and locks in a Crossface! Mistico kicks himself towards the ropes in desperation as KUSHIDA adds additional pressure and continues to crank his opponent's neck back, but Mistico stretches… and gets to the ropes! KUSHIDA pulls Mistico to the center of the ring, turns him around, Back Stabber!
