NJPW: Kings Of Strong Style

For the sake of realism, I'd say don't raid Dragon Gate. Those guys have been with that promotion for a decade (since it started) and nobody has left them. They're loyal. A working relationship like the one with NOAH would be good. It's surprising that AJPW released Omori, though. He's a main eventer for them in-game and is in the title match in real life this month.

I think I may just bring some of their talent over for a cross-promotional show or two, that would be very cool.</p><p> </p><p> And yes I was very surprised too, he's just won the Champions Carnival in real life and he's now headlining their shows, but he is 44. In TEW terms, that probably means a lot more than it does in real life.</p>

Tuesday, Week 4, June 2014

Live on Nippon TV! at the Hiroshima Gymnasium!

Attendance: 10,000 - Super Sell Out No Vacancy

BUSHI, La Sombra and Tiger Mask IV defeated Daichi Hashimoto, Yohei Komatsu and Sho Tanaka in tonight's dark match. Grade: 58 (C-)

IWGP Junior Tag Team #1 Contendership Match

Forever Hooligan (Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov) vs TAKA Michinoku & Taichi

It's become a tradition for the juniors to open the show and it's easy to see why as these four are able to put on as good a match as you'll ever see in this division. TAKA & Taichi run through their usual antics as they break pretty much every rule in the book. TAKA backs the referee into the corner and blocks his vision whilst Taichi delivers a low blow to Alex Koslov. Taichi covers him and TAKA counts the world's fastest pin before they begin celebrating. This is pretty much the only joy they have throughout the entire match though as the hot tag to Romero shifts control back to Forever Hooligan. Koslov takes out TAKA with a suicide dive whilst Romero locks Taichi in the Ankle Lock. Despite his best efforts to crawl to the ropes or find some kind of innovative counter, Taichi succumbs to the pain and taps out.

Winner: Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov (13:03)

Grade: 69 (C+)

Alex Shelley vs El Desperado

Shelley comes down the aisle sporting a Bullet Club T-Shirt with The Young Bucks tailoring behind, but they leave him to fight El Desperado on his own as soon as the bell rings. Nobody knows what's got into Shelley or why he turned on KUSHIDA, but he shows a new side of himself here – much more aggressive and arrogant, much less focused. He taunts his opponent and bends the rules with blatant chokes and facewashes in the corner. Desperado rallies back briefly and even manages some substantial offence but Shelley is rarely in any serious danger. He whips Desperado into the corner before a running knee leaves his opponent seeing stars and that's a long enough window of opportunity for Alex Shelley to connect with the Sliced Bread #2 and pick up a fairly routine victory.

Winner: Alex Shelley (10:02)

Grade: 58 (C-)

Alex Shelley celebrates and poses over his defeated opponent as the Hiroshima Gymnasium lets their disapproval be heard via a chorus of loud boo's. But all of the sudden, the camera turns to the ramp as KUSHIDA charges towards the ring! Shelley sees him coming in the nick of time though and wants nothing to do with his former partner as he hops the guard rail with his tail between his legs. He makes a narrow escape as KUSHIDA gives up the chase, but it's only a matter of time before he'll get his hands on his former partner...

Grade: 56 (C-)

Takao Omori vs Rob Conway w/ Bruce Tharpe

This is Omori's debut and whilst the crowd are behind him, maybe he's not the steal I first thought he was. He takes the initative early on after a series of knife edge chops and then a German Suplex sends Rob Conway packing as he regroups on the outside with Bruce Tharpe. Conway re-enters the ring with a newfound initiative as he goes to town on Omori with a series of stiff body kicks and hard forearms before busting out Tenzan's Mongolian Chops! How dare he! Despite absorbing a lot of punishment, Omori finds his second wind and very nearly puts Conway away with a Dragon Suplex. Rob Conway gets back to his feet on spaghetti legs before Omori charges and connects with the Axe Bomber. 1 – 2 – and 3.

Winner: Takao Omori (11:24)

Grade: 53 (D+)

Bruce Tharpe stays at ringside throughout Hiroyoshi Tenzan's entrance for the next match. He grabs a microphone as he introduces his big surprise, Tenzan's mystery opponent. "He is a multiple time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and the very first TNA X-Division Champion. He is the man that is going to regain my NWA Championships, he is the Phenomonal One! A… J… Styles!!!"

Grade: 46 (D+)

Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs AJ Styles w/ Bruce Tharpe

You have to sympathise with Tenzan here, not only is he in the twilight years of his career, he's totally unprepared for arguably one of the best wrestlers of the last ten years. He does his best to slow down AJ Styles and try to keep the pace at a manageable level but his attempts are futile, AJ is just one step ahead. In what could be described as desperate, Tenzan climbs to the top rope facing away from AJ after a scoop slam. He goes for a Moonsault but Styles rolls out the way in the nick of time. With Tenzan dazed, AJ Styles takes full advantage with a Styles Clash and picks up an impressive victory on debut.

Winner: AJ Styles (13:55)

Grade: 74 (B-)

Jushin Thunder Liger's awesome entrance music hits and he comes down to the ring to a huge ovation from the Hiroshima crowd. He is handed a microphone and talks about how his imminent retirement before moving onto the matches he wants to have before he hangs his wrestling attire up. “Tanahashi... Naito... Goto... Shibata... In 2008 I fought a Young Lion, he was inexperienced, he was nervous... but now he's a two-time IWGP World Heavyweight Champion! At Kizuna Road, there's only one person I want to face and that's The Rainmaker!” A loud Okada chant bellows out, promptly followed by The Rainmaker's equally awesome entrance music. Okada comes down to the ring in jeans and a RED INK T-Shirt alongside Gedo sporting his signature bandana. They both enter the ring but it's Okada who is handed a microphone. A man of few words, Okada simply responds calmly “I'll see you at Kizuna Road”. The two stare each other down in the middle of the ring before we cut to commercial.

Grade: 80 (B)

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Bad Luck Fale w/ Prince Devitt

The new IWGP Intercontinental Champion Prince Devitt accompanies Bad Luck Fale down to the ring and sticks around to see the action from ringside. Tanahashi surprises his bigger opponent as he starts the match aggressively with a tirade of stiff punches to the midriff before a flying forearm topples the big man. Fale tries to take a breather on the outside but Tanahashi follows him only to be tossed back first into the guardrail. Fale follows that up by ramming Tanahashi back first into the side of the ring and that appears to be the turning point as Fale begins to take control. Tanahashi has brief flurries of offence only to be instantly stopped in his tracks before he can get any serious momentum going. He goes for Dragon Screws but Fale blocks, he goes to the ropes and charges but Fale manages to catch him with a Big Boot. At one point, Tanahashi runs to the second turnbuckle and looks for a Diving Crossbody but Fale catches him, brings him up onto his shoulder and flattens him with a Samoan Drop. Now the big man begins a slow climb to the top rope, he sets himself before he goes for a big splash... but Tanahashi rolls out the way! Fale simply took way too long climbing up top. We enter the final stretch and Tanahashi really begins to turn on the style with a collection of Dragon Screws and Dropkicks to the knee. Fale goes for the Grenade, he gribs Tanahashis throat and lifts him up but Tanahashi slips out, runs to the ropes and connects with the Sling Blade! Tanahashi climbs up top now, High Fly Flow! 1, 2 – 3!

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi via High Fly Flow at 18:28

Grade: 78 (B)

Show Grade: 76 (B-)

TV Rating: 4.78

A recently retired Sting has finally signed a deal... with AAA! So I guess Undertaker vs Sting won't be happening this year...

Anyway, before I move on to my next week's episode of TV. I thought I'd announce my G1 Climax participants and my schedule for that. This is only my second G1 in TEW history, so bear with me haha.

Obviously, I have to flex my G1 around my TV show so holding it over 4 weeks seemed the logical solution. Now, I've already booked all the matches, so should I make a mega post to let you all know what's going on on each day or should I post them as we go along? As in, you won't know what matches are set for Day Two until I post Day One, or do you want to know all the matches before a single bell has been rung?

He faces Nick Jackson today, the younger of the two brothers. The Young Bucks have made fabulous inroads into the junior tag division, but it remains to be seen if either can be successful singles competitors. An angry, but yet motivated KUSHIDA takes control early on and shows some early fire as he catches Nick Jackson with a Rana that sends The Young Buck to the outside. KUSHIDA follows that up with a somersault senton over the top rope, but that's the last offensive move he does for a long time as Nick Jackson begins showing he's more than just a Spot Monkey. He begins working over the left leg of KUSHIDA, perhaps to try and stop him from hitting his signature Corkscrew Moonsault, the Moonlight Express. KUSHIDA absorbs a lot of punishment but finds some breathing space when Nick Jackson begins to prioritize taunting to the crowd over hurting his opponent and it's here that KUSHIDA gains some serious momentum. A backbreaker follows and KUSHIDA climbs up top for the Moonlight Express… but Nick Jackson has it choreographed and rolls out the way! Jackson goes for a Superkick but KUSHIDA ducks and follows it up with a headscissors before he floats over the back of Jackson and locks on a Kimura! Back in the ring now and Kojima charges Rhino in the corner, but he bursts out, catches him and delivers an overhead Belly-To-Belly straight into the turnbuckles! It was a rough landing for Kojima and that gives Rhino the advantage as he begins to dominate the match and starts working over the Champion's back, perhaps sensing that the damage has been done. Kojima is spurred on by the crowd and he gets the necessary adrenaline rush to shut off the pain and begin to mount a comeback. Just as he's gaining some serious steam and begins preparing for the Lariat, Rhino shuts him down with a Spinebuster and gets a close near-fall! With Kojima rattled, Rhino sets up for Gore… he crouches in the corner as Kojima gets to his feet… Rhino charges! but Kojima jumps and catches him with a DDT! After absorbing a lot of punishment in the corner, Anderson finally manages to mount a comeback, and after a Leg Lariat to Shelton Benjamin he successfully makes the hot tag! A seething Doc Gallows enters and just absolutely goes to town on both Suzuki and Benjamin with a tyrade of Big Boots and Lariats with both men held up by nothing but the ropes. Seeing that he's not getting the better of his opponent, Tanaka turns to some mat-based offence and keeps Naito grounded. After suffering a variety of different submissions, from a front facelock to a half boston crab, Naito finally manages to get some distance from Tanaka and begins to make a comeback. The closing stretch of the match features a load of near falls with Tanaka nearly putting Naito away with a Dangan Bomb before Naito ducks a Roaring Elbow attempt and gets a really close nearfall of his own off a Dragon Suplex. Both guys get back to their feet slowly as Tanaka forces Naito into the corner, Tanaka climbs to the second rope and signals for the Tornado DDT but Naito counters it into a Northern Lights Suplex and very nearly gets the 3 count! NJPW on TV! Episode #6

Tuesday, Week 2, July 2014

Live on Nippon TV! at the Yoyogi National Stadium Gym

Attendance: 12,000 - Sold Out!

Alex Shelley defeated Trent Baretta in tonight's dark match. Grade: 62 ©

KUSHIDA vs Matt Jackson

Since this year's one-off knockout version of the Best Of The Super Juniors, KUSHIDA has begun to gain some serious momentum. The fans clap along in perfect sync to his entrance music and loudly pop when ring announcer Kimihiko Ozani makes the formal announcements. The Young Bucks, however, are still a long way away from being a threat as singles wrestlers. This match is similar to the opener last week, and that probably harms it a little as Matt Jackson does very little to differentiate himself from his younger brother. One of the highlights here was KUSHIDA hitting a Somersault Senton from the top turnbuckle straight over the ring post on to his groggy opponent. Despite Matt Jackson's best efforts, KUSHIDA picks up the victory here with his new submission finisher, the Hoverboard Lock.

Winner: KUSHIDA (12:55)

Grade: 70 (C+)

Following his victory, KUSHIDA is ambushed by Alex Shelley, Tama Tonga and Nick Jackson of Bullet Club. They assert their numbers advantage and begin stomping away at KUSHIDA before Alex Shelley locks on the Border City Stretch! Seemingly helpless, KUSHIDA gives up fighting the hold and begins to slip into unconsciousness, when all of a sudden…

Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega and BUSHI hit the ring!

Alex Shelley immediately relinquishes the hold and makes a swift exit as The Young Bucks and Tama Tonga stand their ground and get a swift beating for their efforts! Defeated, the four members of Bullet Club retreat up the ramp as Kota Ibushi sees to KUSHIDA. Perhaps apprehensive about Ibushi's agenda, KUSHIDA pushes him away cautiously and the two engage in a short, but tense staredown before we cut to a commercial break.

Grade: 50 (D+)

TenKoji & Takao Omori vs AJ Styles & Bad Influence w/ Bruce Tharpe

We return from the break with Bruce Tharpe already in the ring as he makes the formal introduction of AJ Styles & Bad Influence, calling them the modern day equivalent of the Fabulous Freebirds. The spotlight is really shone on the Americans here and AJ Styles in particular begins to show exactly what he's capable of. The three Americans make quick tags in and out and gradually grind down Tenzan and Kojima who constantly suffer double and sometimes triple teams in the NWA's corner. The three experienced Japanese wrestlers make a comeback in the closing stretch but AJ Styles ducks an Axe Bomber and nails Omori with the Pele Kick. As Bad Influence keep TenKoji occupied on the outside of the ring, AJ Styles lifts Omori up and connects with the Styles Clash for the 1 - 2 - 3 and picks up a massive victory for the NWA.

Winner: AJ Styles & Bad Influence (10:48)

Grade: 64 ©

Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata vs Rob Conway & Jax Dane w/ Bruce Tharpe

This is Goto & Shibata's first appearance since winning the IWGP World Tag Team Championships at Dominion and it's another impressive display from the team that are getting better and better every time they wrestle together. Conway & Dane on the other hand are finding success hard to come by and tonight is no different. Dane & Conway bend the rules as they choke Goto in the ropes and rake his eyes, which allows them a brief period of control, but that all changes when Katsuyori Shibata is tagged in. He goes to town and absolutely annihilates both with a series of kicks before Goto connects with the Fireman's Carry Neckbreaker to Rob Conway. Shibata then finishes this one with a Penalty Kick in what could be the debut of a new tag team finisher for the Champions.

Winner: Katsuyori Shibata & Hirooki Goto (12:24)

Grade: 68 (C+)

As Goto & Shibata head up the ramp victorious, clutching their IWGP World Tag Team Championships, they are stopped in their tracks by the former champions.

Guns & Gallows emerge from behind the curtain and we have a brawl on our hands here folks!

The two teams begin beating the absolute snot out of each other as the action spills back to the ring and then into the crowd. As fans begin to scatter as to not get in the way, Goto & Shibata manage to push Guns & Gallows towards one of the exits at the top of the arena… and next thing we see, the action has spilled to the balcony above the crowd! The two teams disappear from sight as the camera pans back to Shinpei Nogami & Milano Collection A.T. who begin hyping our next matchup.

Grade: 79 (B)

Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV vs "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada & Yujiro Takahashi

Surprisingly, this doesn't materialise into the match it probably should have been. It was just too short given the star power involved and the abrupt ending definitely harmed the match quality here. The main story throughout this match is how Tiger Mask IV just can't compete with the class of Okada and Yujiro and as a result, he hardly manages to muster a substantial move on either of the two. Liger has some more success, but he just can't turn the years back enough to do this one on his own. After twelve or so minutes, Okada hits The Rainmaker on Tiger Mask IV and leaves the two experienced Juniors lying in his wake.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada & Yujiro Takahashi (12:44)

Grade: 66 (C+)

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/ShinsukeNakamura_zps0fd9f3ce.jpghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/vs-graphic_zps70ebb88c.pnghttp://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/Roster/TomoakiHomna_zps597792b6.jpg

"King Of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura vs Tomoaki Homna

This match is taking place just a week or so after it was announced Tomoaki Homna would be making his G1 Climax debut this year, and these two just happen to be in the same block! What a coincidence! But that's unimportant for Nakamura as his attention is focused on winning this match and then his rubber match against Tetsuya Naito at Kizuna Road in two weeks time. Nakamura brings his A-game here tonight, and it's a good job he does because Homna is one of most physical members of the New Japan roster. In the eighteen or so minutes that this one runs, these two throw everything they have at each other. Nakamura drops an array of nasty knee drops but Homna replies with a Missile Dropkick, Nakamura connects with a stiff Spin Kick but it has no effect on Homna, and he then kills Nakamura with a Lariat that very nearly puts away the King Of Strong Style for the 3 count! Perhaps sensing victory, Homna brings Nakamura back to his feet and connects with a Brainbuster before he climbs up to the top rope. Homna leaps… but misses the Diving Headbutt! Nakamura gets back to his feet and signals to the crowd… He delivers a Standing Boma Ye that drops Homna down to one knee, and then another Boma Ye just for good measure! With Homna more than likely unconscious, Nakamura covers him and picks up the 1 - 2 - 3 just two weeks before Kizuna Road!

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura (17:30)

Grade: 81 (B)

Having just picked up a victory in a great match, Nakamura celebrates in the ring when he's interrupted by the sound of Tetsuya Naito's entrance music, "Stardust" by Kazsin. Naito enters the ring and gets in Nakamura's face as the two stare each other down. They trade insults and push each other around the ring and just as it seems they are about to come to blows… Tomoaki Homna and Togi Makabe pull Naito away and escort him up the ramp as CHAOS members flood the ring. The show closes with the two continuing to stare each other down from a distance as Naito slowly retreats up the ramp.

Grade: 79 (B)

Show Grade: 77 (B-)

TV Rating: 4.70

Prediction Results:

Only two this week, but they both did very well indeed.

Wolfman84: 5/5

In the meantime, it's nearly 1am as I'm typing this so tomorrow I'll post up the preview for Episode 7, the Kizuna Road go-home show. AND! I'll be making a big announcement... I wonder what that is... Brownie points to anybody who can guess :D

I still don't know where the G1 is going to be held, I could probably sell out Tokyo Dome with that haha. TEW is not so realistic in that respect.

Okay, here's the big announcement.

Pro Wrestling!

I've opened a developmental territory, this is where I'll be breeding the latest crop of Tanahashi's, Nakamura's and Okada's. The promotion will tour for 10 months of the year, with May and November being hiatus months. NEVER will run its tour shows every Monday and every Tuesday, which is the Badlands Tour at the moment. Shame on you Nobuhiko Takada, that's a terrible name!

But without further delay, it's time to announce my starting roster. It's one that I think is loaded with potential and I'm already seeing a couple that could be on the main roster as early as September. There's some exciting talent here that should be Main Eventers in years to come.

Andy Wu

Daichi Hashimoto

Hayato Jr. Fujita

Hiromu Takahashi

Jesse White (Vader's Son, Jake Carter From WWE)

Keisuke Ishii

Kikugoro Ajibana (Generated Announcer)

Masahiro Chono (Trainer)

Nobuhiko Takada (Owner & Head Booker)

Now, I don't really follow Puro all that much (thus my lack of commentary last time since I would appear incredibly stupid) but having Chono as a trainer is a good move.

UNLESS HE USES IT AS A TRAINING CAMP FOR A NEW NWO JAPAN!!!

NJPW on TV! Episode #7 Preview

Tuesday, Week 3, July 2014

- We are now just days away from Kizuna Road, the final PPV before the G1 Climax!

- They're fighting for the IWGP Junior Tag Team Championships at Kizuna Road and so Forever Hooligan will look to warm up in style when they face off against the American Wolves in what is sure to be an exciting, explosive opening match.

- Toru Yano and Lance Archer have both been lost in the shuffle somewhat and because of that, both are absent from the G1 Climax. They'll go head-to-head this week as both look to make a bang and try to gain themselves a championship opportunity.

- With a three-way dance over for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship set for Kizuna Road, tonight the three participants will meet each other in a three-corners tag team match. Kota Ibushi will team with Kenny Omega to take on KUSHIDA & BUSHI whilst Alex Shelley will team up with Tama Tonga.

- Tiger Mask IV had a hell of a time against Yujiro and Okada last week. He's been given the opportunity to avenge that embarrassment when he goes one-on-one with The Rainmaker, Kazuchika Okada in our semi-final.

- Bullet Club have taken over New Japan, and there's probably nobody more suitable to take the promotion's major championships back than Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yuji Nagata. They'll be joining forces tonight to take on the Champions, CM Punk & Prince Devitt!

NJPW on TV! Episode #7 Predictions -

CM Punk & Prince Devitt vs Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yuji Nagata

Tiger Mask IV vs Kazuchika Okada

Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega vs KUSHIDA & BUSHI vs Alex Shelley & Tama Tonga

CM Punk & Prince Devitt vs Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yuji Nagata

Punk is a big deal and Devitt is a big deal in Japan. I'm a dolt though and don't know the other two at all.

Tiger Mask IV vs Kazuchika Okada

Now I'm unfamiliar with him largely but The Rainmaker has a distinct look and an obvious charisma. He could be your Flair I imagine if booked properly.

Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega vs KUSHIDA & BUSHI vs Alex Shelley & Tama Tonga

Lance Archer vs Toru Yano

If Shelley's cheating on Sabin it has to be worth it.

Forever Hooligan vs American Wolves

The Wolves have a tendency of making an impact in any diary they appear in :p

Tuesday, Week 3, July 2014

Tomoaki Honma defeated Captain New Japan in tonight's dark match. Grade: 66 (C+)

Forever Hooligan vs American Wolves

A far as Junior tag matches go, this is one of the best I've had so far. These two teams work a quick pace and put on a very exciting match that is helped largely by the fact that nobody phones this one in, both teams are on their game and then some. The American Wolves very nearly pick up a surprise victory with a Superkick / German Suplex combo on Alex Koslov before they begin setting him up for the Force Of Nature but Romero dives in and saves his partner. Forever Hooligan assert their control in the closing stretch and it's Romero who picks up the pinfall after a Foreign Devil to Eddie Edwards.

Winners: Forever Hooligan (11:01)

Grade: 74 (B-)

Lance Archer vs Toru Yano

Toru Yano just can't get away from Suzukigun. He's essentially a comedian here as he uses every trick in his book to try and avoid actually wrestling Archer. He then begins to really get under his opponent's skin when he tries an array of different roll-ups and very nearly picks up the victory with the Urakasumi (a cradle roll-up from a leg-hook front facelock, think Fisherman's suplex). But, Yano soon runs out of tricks and ends up running right into a devasting Spinebuster from Archer. A dazed Yano is bought back to his feet just so Archer can hit him with the Dark Days DDT and then the big man climbs up to the top rope… Moonsault! 1 - 2 - 3!

Winner: Lance Archer (11:10)

Grade: 71 (C+)

As the ring is cleared and preparations are made for our next match, a pre-recorded sit down interview with Shinsuke Nakamura plays on the big screen. He says that winning the G1 Climax in 2011 was the biggest achievement of his career and that he feels it's his destiny to win it again this year considering it's been four years since he last held the IWGP World Heavyweight. But first, Nakamura says that he's completely focused on putting away Tetsuya Naito once and for all on Saturday.

The Golden Lovers vs KUSHIDA & BUSHI vs Alex Shelley & Tama Tonga

Oddly enough, this isn't the exciting spectacle that it probably should have been. The crowd just don't really ever get into this one and that lack of reaction definitely harms the match quality. After a slow start, the match essentially becomes a spot-fest with bodies flying all over the place. Amidst the chaos, KUSHIDA and Alex Shelley come face-to-face in the ring for the first time since Shelley stabbed his tag partner in the back… there's a brief pause as Shelley looks for an escape… but KUSHIDA just tackles him to the ground and begins hammering away as Shelley squirms! Tonga pulls his partner out of the ring but KUSHIDA just charges and takes out both with a Tope Con Hilo! The action returns back to the ring as The Golden Lovers begin double-teaming BUSHI and then KUSHIDA and then even Shelley & Tonga! With Shelley occupied with BUSHI & KUSHIDA on the outside, Ibushi & Omega hit simultaneous 450 splashes on Tonga and Ibushi picks up the pinfall! Shelley & Tonga have been eliminated!

Now we just have a regular tag team match on our hands and it's apparent that both teams want to get this one over and done with. Ibushi gets a close near-fall with a Sit-Out Powerbomb on KUSHIDA but BUSHI breaks up the pinfall and then takes Ibushi out with a top-rope MX! Kenny Omega takes BUSHI up on his shoulders in the Electric Chair position and then transitions that into a German Suplex! 1… 2… KUSHIDA breaks it up just before the 3! Now Omega and KUSHIDA go toe-to-toe and KUSHIDA locks in the Hoverboard Lock! Ibushi tries to interject but BUSHI is preventing him from entering the ring… and Omega submits!

Winners: KUSHIDA & BUSHI (14:17)

Tiger Mask IV vs "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada

Okada could have a great match with a broom. First Doc Gallows, now Tiger Mask IV, he's got a superb match out of both and he's not even on his game here! Tiger Mask IV gives his all and he actually puts up a bit of a fight but he just can't handle the pace that Okada sets. The crowd are holding their breath after Tiger Mask IV hits a Bridging Tiger Suplex but Okada kicks out comfortably at 2. It's the last bit of joy he has though as Okada reels through his array of signature moves from the Heavy Rain, to the Reverse Neckbreaker all the way through to his Flapjack but Tiger Mask continues to kick out of pinfall attempts! Okada brings his opponent back to his feet and The Rainmaker will put Tiger Mask IV out of his misery.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada (12:45)

CM Punk & Prince Devitt vs Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yuji Nagata

Little more than a sign of things to come at Kizuna Road, these four put on an entertaining tag match but it's clear from the get-go that they're all trying to conserve as much energy as possible for Saturday. The match opens with CM Punk and Tanahashi who show their wrestling prowess with a great sequence of chain wrestling and mat work that comes to an abrupt end when Tanahashi connects with a Dragon Screw. Punk tags in Devitt who orders Tanahashi to tag in Nagata… and he gets his wish! The two go toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring with back and forth elbow strikes before Nagata knocks Devitt off his feet with a straight chest kick. As the match rolls on, it's the experience advantage of the two Japanese wrestlers that comes into play as both make quick tags in and out and keep Devitt isolated in their corner. Eventually, Devitt does manage to make the tag and CM Punk turns the tide back in Bullet Club's favour. Just as he's looking to put Nagata away with a Go To Sleep, Tanahashi charges in and dropkicks CM Punk right in the knee. As he stumbles back to his corner, Punk makes the tag to Prince Devitt who charges right into a Overhead Belly-To-Belly from Nagata! Tanahashi is left alone with Prince Devitt as Nagata keeps Punk occupied on the outside and he wastes no time in putting his opponent away - Sling Blade, High Fly Flow, 1 - 2 - 3.

Winners: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yuji Nagata (19:15)

Prediction Results:

Wolfman84: 3/5

Captain2: 2/5 (I'm gonna assume you predicted Archer to beat Yano) :p

Kizuna Road predictions will be up later. I'm looking forward to writing that show, I have a feeling it could be the best I've done so far. And I just wanna say thanks for following along guys. I know that there aren't many Puro fans on this forum so I didn't expect a lot of support when I started this up but I can't imagine running a save without writing a diary now haha.
