Background Information

Good morning/afternoon/prevening/evening to everyone that has taken time out of their lives to take a look at this diary. This diary is angeldelayette presenting his take on New York City Wrestling beginning the year of 2014 in the month of January. I have done many diaries in the past, both Cornellverse and Real World. As a matter of fact, I am still running a dual diary in the Real World with jhd1. That diary, located here, is still up and running. However, I wanted to begin a diary that I could run at my own pace. I also wanted to have a Cornellverse diary here as I do enjoy running with that world around me. As stated in my latest USPW diary, I am finished running with that promotion. After all, there's only so much that someone can do with the same promotion.

New York City Wrestling opens up a whole new vibrant amount of wrestlers to create characters with. They are not done a ton here on the boards, especially with the 2014 version of the Cornellverse. There will be some changes, though, that this NYCW goes through. Those changes will be reported. I do have a major user character that I am using for this diary. It will become obvious who that is very soon.

Inspiration

jhd1 - A great diary writer and one that I go to for support again and again. He is one of my best friends on these GDS boards. He is also responsible for a lot of the graphics work that gets done both in the diary and in different games. I thank him for that. He is also my multiplayer partner in my real world diary.

Eisen-verse - Another amazing diary writer. He is another one of my friends and always offers good advice when I need it. His epic SWF diary has been an inspiration on everyone that reads it. I have definitely been inspired by his depictions of wrestlers in all of his diaries. One cannot help but to be inspired and there may end up being one or two or more of characters that he created that show up here.

Alt/Render/Re-Render Artists - I cannot forget these amazing artists that bring the Cornellverse to life almost more-so than the real world. You will see a lot of alts/Re-Renders used within this diary. All credit for them goes to their respective artists. A special thank you goes to these artists. If there is one that you see that you would like me to change the name to include/give credit to you as the artist, please feel free to let me know here or in pm.

Lexa90, BHK1978, critical-23, TheLeviticalLawKid3, 20LEgend, Bigpapa42, Emark, Tigerkinney, Rayelek, Midnightnick, RKOwnage, pennyone, 3rdStringPG and more - These names have been some of the more long-lasting names that have commented and predicted within my diaries in the past. They have been and always continue to be an inspiration to me in their comments and predictions. They always seem to stick by me through thick and thin, though some more-so than others now. Which, again, I do not blame them for their choices. I just want to thank them here and now for their predictions and comments in the past.

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/NYCW_14/JackBruce_Ice5.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

With Christmas Clash in the books several days ago, we have received a shocker here at Promotion Wars. The main event of Christmas Clash featured Jack Bruce defending his SWF World Heavyweight Title against his hated enemy Remo. Remo had not only attacked Jack Bruce in the ring but also on the street while Jack Bruce was walking down a sidewalk. In the match at Christmas Clash, Jack Bruce agreed to put not only his SWF World Heavyweight title on the line but also his SWF career. The match ended when Remo struck Bruce with a third spear and pinned him cleanly in the center of the ring. Jack left that night to a standing ovation from the crowd.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

There were many rumors circulating about this match and what might occur afterward. As we all know, in professional wrestling, a loser leaves the company match rarely means that the loser actually leaves the company. However, we have learned from sources close to Jack Bruce that he met with the SWF's reclusive owner Richard Eisen in the days leading up to Christmas Clash. The results of this meeting were that Jack Bruce leaves SWF following Christmas Clash. He has agreed not to sign with Total Championship Wrestling or United States Pro Wrestling within 90 days of his release. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

So the big question remains: what and where is Jack Bruce heading? Another rumor has him either starting a promotion or becoming owner of one that is existing. With the success of wrestlers such as Sam Strong, Rip Chord and Sam Keith as owners, this is definitely not so implausible as it might have sounded ten years ago. Another source says that Jack Bruce has saved his money from his years in SWF. He was signed to one of the biggest contracts in professional wrestling history less than a year ago. Could this have also contributed to his leaving the SWF? We will keep you up-to-date on this situation as more news develops.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Here at Promotion Wars, we have been able to give breaking news on everything that happens in the world of professional wrestling. We have more breaking news right here today as we have just learned that New York City Wrestling has been sold from the hands of Larry Vessey to a group of New York Investors led by a mysterious figure that has preferred to keep his name anonymous for now.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

NYCW have been a throwback to an older era of professional wrestling. The company was created in 1988 by retired wrestler Derek 'The Stomper' Bradford. The company has made very little changes since their debut in 1988 and their fans would not have things any differently. When The Stomper retired in 2010, he handed the reigns of the promotion over to his hand-picked successor Larry Vessey. Vessey, a former six time TCW World Tag Team Champion, has been in the business for 37 years and travelled the world plying his talents in such promotions as SWF, TCW, PGHW, TWL and CGC all before coming to NYCW in September 2009.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

We have reached out to the now-former NYCW owner for comment and as of this time we have not received a comment from him. This may not make headline news in every news column about professional wrestling today. However our sources have told us that the wrestler known as The New York Doll has become the very first casualty of the new Investors to NYCW. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

As we reported earlier, New York City Wrestling was purchased from Larry Vessey by a solid group of Investors. The Head Investor has decided to keep his name anonymous for now. However, we are now getting word that he was the one to make the final decision to cut The New York Doll from NYCW. There is always the possibility of more cuts coming. With a change in ownership, these things are to be expected. Most would, of course, say that if you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

The New York Doll is wrestling in his ninth year in the business. He has wrestled as such names as Clash Rotten, Filth Sylvain and Spike. He is from Florida and New York City Wrestling was the first 'name' promotion to give him any air time. Prior to this release, he has been with NYCW since December 2005. This cut gives the impression that no one is safe, even someone who has a long tenure in the company.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

We are coming up on the very first New York City Wrestling show since Larry Vessey sold the company to a group of investors. Here at Promotion Wars, we have managed to speak to a couple of the investors to get a preview of the upcoming Rush Hour show. The big question is whether or not the company will continue to be run in the same fashion that Larry Vessey and his predecessor The Stomper did or will they be injecting some modern wrestling into the mix?</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Roger Cage won back the NYCW Empire title from Man Mountain Cahill last month in a match that will be remembered by everyone who watched it. Well, this month, Man Mountain Cahill has invoked his rematch clause so right here at NYCW Rush Hour we will see Roger Cage defend that newly won title against the former champion Man Mountain Cahill. Will Cage be able to defeat the monster two times in a row? Or will the man known as Smooth lose the Empire title shortly after winning the belt?</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

In a match that was signed just last month for this show, two veterans of the squared circle will face off. Honest Frank will step in the ring against The Remarkable Steve Flash. The winner of this match will surely be in the running for an Empire title match some time soon in the future. Last month, during the contract signing, Steve Flash was able to hold off Honest Frank and send him running out of the ring, only to have Flash dive over the top rope and onto Frank! While the move hit, Flash grabbed at his knee in pain, sliding backward from Honest Frank. Will this injury play a factor in the match this month?</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Our NYCW Tag Team titles will be on the line as the Champions The Ring Generals defend the belts against the former three time NYCW Tag Team Champions Old School Principals. This team won the rights to this title match by defeating The Southern Stars last month with some interference by Monty Trescarde. These two teams have had a long and storied rivalry together in New York City Wrestling. What will happen in this next chapter?</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Monty Trescarde will be stepping in the ring against the NYCW Tri-State Regional Champion Animal Harker. Trescarde cost Harker and his partner Tennessee William the rights to fight for the tag team titles so Harker will be looking for revenge this month one on one against the businessman known as Monty.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Plus you never know who might show up in the town of New York City. Will the Investors be there and be part of the show? There's definitely bound to be some surprises here at New York City Wrestling! Anything can happen in New York!</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

QUICK RESULTS: SWF WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/NYCW_14/SWF.jpg

As we often do with the pay-per-views of the big three, here we are with the quick results from SWF When Hell Freezes Over from January 2014. The main event was a shocking match that was filled with hard-hitting as Remo defended his newly won SWF World Heavyweight Title against the Soviet Science Experiment known as Marat Khoklov! The match was the best of the night and featured Remo being the first man to bring Khoklov down to the mat. Remo, who turned face following his SWF World title win over Jack Bruce, caught Khoklov with a devastating spinebuster to score the pinfall victory!

In other action, Vengeance and Steve Frehley fought with more hard-hitting both inside and outside the ring. It looked like they may both be counted out at one point in time but they made it back just at the nine count. Vengeance ends up striking Frehley with the Skull Krusher before he gets the pinfall win. But following the match, Christian Faith comes out and keeps Frehley from being drug into the ring. He comes face-to-face with Vengeance but no physical confrontation between the two.

The rest of the card was as follows:

Everest defeats Brett Biggins

Marc DuBois defeats Randy Bumfhole

Jungle Lord defeats Bear Bekowski

Frederique Antonio Garcia defeats Robbie Retro

Big Smack Scott defeats American Machine

Enforcer Roberts defeats Huey Cannonball

Joe Sexy defeats Captain Atomic

Squeeky McClean defeats Valiant to retain the SWF North American title

Love NYCW, they were my first company I played when I started out playing TEW, looking forward to your spin on the company.

The more I play NYCW, the more I am truly enjoying them. They definitely have some hidden talents. I am even enjoying the character for Devastating Don if you can believe that! Thank you for the predictions! I hope you enjoy the upcoming show.

Don't know much about NYCW truth be told, hence the lack of comments. However, I'm looking forward to finding out about them with the help of angeldelayette and Jack Bruce! :D

Always glad to have you here, jhd1! I can understand not knowing much about the company. But I hope I can open it up to you and more people as it grows.

I only know a handful of talents on NYCW (mainly because I tend to pluck them!), but here goes nothing!

There's definitely guys there that I used to grab back in the day. Guys like Brandon Smith, Roger Cage, etc. are definitely future stars. Guys like Steve Flash, Honest Frank and Black Hat Bailey are consistent veterans. Thank you for your predictions and comments!

I will definitely be doing my best to keep Roger Cage right here in New York. The economy is horrible in the USA right now so hopefully that will keep the big boys from spending a lot of money. Love your Devastating Don sign as it definitely goes along with how I see him. Thank you for your comments and predictions!

Dozer is definitely a star here in NYCW. He is someone that I have high hopes on for the future. Just, as always, a little worried about the big boys coming to take him. Thanks for your predictions! Always appreciated!

<p>NYCW, alongside FCW are some of my favorite smaller promotions in C-Verse and I´m always interested to read a diary with one of them. Jack Bruce being the player character is also interesting choice as he isn´t top of my list of guys that would fit into NYCW but should certainly help them a lot none-the-less. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Devastating Don vs. <strong>Bulldozer Brandon Smith</strong></p><p>

Comments: <em>Smith and Cage are the two best younger guys on your roster so I expect them to win a lot and certainly over jobbers like Don.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match</p><p>

<strong>Animal Harker</strong> defends vs. Monty Trescarde</p><p>

Comments: <em>I´m not all that high on Harker and with the current roster, I would classify him as jobber (with current faces I would only put Borne and possibly Williams below him on rankings) and would usually put Monty over him but I would still give him at least one or two successful defenses before having him drop the belt.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dermot O'Logical</strong> vs. Geoff Borne</p><p>

Comments: <em>Looking at the starting roster, Borne looks like a fall guy on faces side and while I´m don´t really care about O´Logical either, he´s probably a bit higher on the ladders.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NYCW Tag Team Titles Match</p><p>

<strong>The Ring Generals</strong> defend vs. Old School Principals</p><p>

Comments: <em>Right now, Old School Principals would actually be the logical champions since face side is stronger (not to mention that Principals are higher on the pecking order than most face tag team guys) even if we take Shark Cage out from the division but I dislike making title changes on the first show so I go with Ring Generals instead. </em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Honest Frank</strong> vs. Steve Flash</p><p>

Comments: <em>Could go either way but I figure that Frank could well be the next challenger for Cage (depends a bit on how you plan to use Bruce though) and thus pick him over Flash.</em></p><p> </p><p>

NYCW Empire Title Match</p><p>

<strong>Roger Cage</strong> defends vs. Man Mountain Cahill</p><p>

Comments:<em>Cahill does have the popularity but not the skills and thus wouldn´t be a great choice as champ so I go with Cage retaining.</em></p>

Some boos move through the crowd but otherwise the fans are not sure how to take the news. One fan raises a sign reading: 'WILL THE MAYOR ROCK NEW YORK ROCK CITY TONIGHT?' Dean Waldorf and Marv Statler do their best to fight them off but Waldorf is double-teamed by the two brothers and Statler is a little worse for wear after the previous match so he goes down to the non-brother. The two brothers grab Waldorf and set him up -- Total Elimination! The tag team move brings Waldorf to the mat. They set Statler up beside him and each brother hooks in the Proton Lock! Flash uses a quick up-tempo offense in the early-going, seemingly hoping to score a quick victory over Honest Frank but the damage done to his knee from last month is definitely apparent in this match. Flash sends Frank to the outside of the ring and then runs along the apron, nailing him with a cannonball splash! Flash tries to land on his knee but it buckles slightly and he has to grab the ring to stay upright. A fan sitting by where Flash is raises a sign reading: 'Flash Bang!' Back inside the ring, Flash tries to lift Frank for a body slam and that knee buckles again with Frank landing on top for a two count. Frank is the first to his feet and he begins focusing right on that right knee of Steve Flash. He hooks on a kneebar, trying to draw a submission but Flash refuses to give up. So Frank breaks the hold and slides outside the ring, pulling Flash to the ring post and ramming that right knee against the post! The crowd boos, trying to pull Flash back into the match. Frank continues with a mat-based offense, focused on the right knee of Steve Flash. Around the sixteen minute mark of the match, Frank releases a Figure he had on for five straight minutes! He looks to the referee and then points to the knee of Flash. The referee steps in and asks Steve Flash if he can continue. Flash refuses to stop the match so the referee does it for him, calling for the bell.]</span></em></p><p><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';"> </span><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';"><strong>Winner: Honest Frank (Via Stoppage @ 16:42)</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';"><strong> Match Rating: D+</strong></span></p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Match #6</strong></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="38034" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><span>http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/NYCW_14/NYCW_Empire.jpg</span></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> <span>http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/NYCW_14/RogerCage.jpg</span><span>http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/NYCW_14/CheerleaderNicki.jpg</span><span>http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpg</span><span>http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/NYCW_14/ManMountainCahill_ew.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>NYCW Empire Title Match</strong></p><p><strong> Roger Cage defends vs. Man Mountain Cahill</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';">[After the ring clearing, it is time for one of two main events this evening. Our NYCW Empire title is defended as Roger Cage faces the former champion Man Mountain Cahill in an epic battle for supremacy. Both men face off with each other when the bell sounds and Cage tries to go right for the knees of Cahill to try and bring the monster off his feet. On the mat, everyone is the same size, right? This offense includes a knee dropkick off the second turnbuckle that actually brings the larger special attraction off his feet. Cage goes right in for the cover but Cahill kicks out at one, sending Cage flying across the ring! Cage continues his quick assault on Cahill in the early going but things change when Cage goes for a flying splash in the corner and there's nobody home. Cahill grabs the momentum and slows the pace down, working each part of the body of our Champion over as the crowd sits on the edge of their seats. cahill catches Cage with a backbreaker and then bounces off the ropes, leaping with a giant splash in the center of the ring. He has it locked in tight and Cage cries out in pain! At around the eight minute mark, it seems like Cage might be unconscious from the pain. A fan, showing support for the Champion, raises a sign reading: 'You Can't Cage Him!' The referee moves in and raises his arm once, it drops. He raises the arm twice, it drops again. He raises the arm a third time, it dro -- NO! It stays up! The crowd pops, clapping their hands and stomping their feet. Cage fires with punches again and again, working to break free of the bear hug. He even hits Cahill with a headbutt! Cahill finally releases and Cage shoves Cahill back into a corner. He climbs up for punches but Cahill shoves him back down! He climbs up a second time and Cahill shoves him away again. He feigns a third time and avoids the shove, instead throwing punches to the gut of Cahill. Both men look exhausted in the ring as Cage takes a step back and then hits a flying splash in the corner! Bailey exits the ring and Bruce grabs his black hat from the corner, placing it on and dancing around the ring to laughter from the audience and rage from Bailey. Bruce tosses the hat to the crowd when Bailey re-enters the ring. Bailey takes an advantage when he uses a rake to the eyes of Bruce to get control. Bailey sends Bruce to a corner and begins throwing punches in the corner before sending him to the ropes -- scoop powerslam! Bailey yells at the crowd before making the cover: One, Kickout! That was barely a one count as Bailey returns on the offensive. Bailey pulls Bruce to the center of the ring and squares up with a couple of European Uppercuts before bringing him to the mat in a fireman's carry takedown. Here at Promotion Wars, we are receiving reports from backstage at NYCW Rush Hour of a fight between new NYCW wrestler Matthew Keith and former NYCW Owner Larry Vessey. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

From what our sources have been telling us, Larry Vessey approached Matthew Keith and told him that he has no place in 'his' company. He said that he never would have hired men like him, his brother or KC Glenn. Then he mentioned something about an old grudge with his father, Sam Keith. Matthew Keith tried to walk away but Vessey then slapped him in the back of the head and this led to a full-on fight between the two men. Jack Bruce, NYCW Owner, had to step in and break things up. </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Jack has given a short statement, stating that there was, indeed, a fight between the two men but that it was short lived and he has worked everything out accordingly. So far no terminations have been expected and both men are scheduled to be backstage at NYCW King Of New York in February. It will be interesting to see if they can co-exist backstage this time.</span></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

The back stage fight was unexpected.</p><p> </p><p>

As weird as it sounds, a match between Honest Frank and Jack Bruce seems a bit interesting for the future. At least set it up with a Frank/Bailey-Bruce/Flash tag match. My two cents worth anyways... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
