mad5226
I'm thinking about buying a Chromebook, has anyone else bought one, do you like it? Also, is it possible to run TEW on a Chromebook?
mistaken
I'm thinking about buying a Chromebook, has anyone else bought one, do you like it? Also, is it possible to run TEW on a Chromebook? I don't see how it would be, e-licnese is a windows only product. if you can find a virtual machine app for chrome, then you might be able to run TEW inside an XP virtual machine on the chrome book. mistaken
i just looked at the full article, it looks more like a thin client than a local VM. like it can stream it over from a back end more than run it locally. still worth looking into. (even if you decide not to buy the chrome book)

Go for it. And I would believe not on the whole TEW thing.
bigtplaystew
For what they are, Chromebooks are pretty cool. But you should explore what's out there int he windows based laptop world. My friend got a killer 11 inch laptop from new egg over the holidays for $385 shipped and it absolutely shreds what even the highest end chromebooks can do. But a coworker got the Samsung chromebook over the holidays (which runs about $250 at retails tores) for $175 shipped brand new. And you really can't beat that kind of price for what those little things can do. But if you're planning on doing much gaming beyond what android can offer you, you'll probably be disappointed with a chromebook.
