. Who am I? I am your storyteller and you my friend have opened the greatest story that World Wrestling Entertainment has ever told. The story of
THE MAD KING
.

 

There he sits on top of his thrown, his face dripping with blood that suggest war and torment yet he sits with a smile like a mad clown. His hands consonantly shaking and his fingers tapping on the chair. His eyes frantic and empty yet he is full with glory. He holds the crown, the crown that men and women have being fighting for decades, hell centuries. He sits there knowing that he is on top of the wrestling world. He sits in the same chair that old kings like Bruno Sammartino, Vince McMahon Snr, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon Jr, Ric Flair, Bret Hart and many more have sat on. The thrown itself as cold as the king that sits on it, its foundation bleached and tainted with the blood from the wars that have been fought over it. The man with a clutch on the thrown they call him
THE MAD KING
and this is his story.

 

As you flip these pages you will witness Love, Hatred, Loyalty, Betrayals and Violence as the men and women of World Wrestling Entertainment and many outsiders fight to get a chance at the thrown. I warn you though as these pages may haunt you as we witness the stories of

Before I begin may I thank everyone that has ever predicted or commented on one of my diaries. They mean more than you can imagine and I am really grateful for that. Secondly thank you to the people that have helped me in making my diaries better and better, you know who you are and thank you for that. Thirdly to the people that inspired me to begin a diary from E-V to Lloyd to Beejus and and many more. E-V for the look and feel of a diary, if you haven't go read one of his diaries they look beautiful and hopefully I can bring that level of presentation to Real World. Lloyd for creating one of the best universes on the board and it really had my imagination running wild, with a new diary on the way I look forward to another great universe created by Lloyd. Beejus for bringing a level of writing that not many can touch, the guy has a way with his words and hopefully I can bring the same amount of depth in writing to my diary. World Wrestling Entertainment can be the hardest promotion to book aside from C-Verse simply because of the sheer size of it and the expectations that we have from it. But god damn it, I am going to book the best WWE ever.

 

LEGACY WARS

 

Alright what happened with Legacy Wars, a lot of things. Let me start of by saying I thought I truly had 'it' with Legacy Wars. I had a story that lasted a full year that would of been awesome to write. I won't tell you what was going to happen because a lot of them can be used here. What happened was I simply had too much and it was horribly organised. When all three rosters combined WWE, TNA and ROH it got to a 160 sized roster and it went straight over my head. It was just to hard to book and to hard to write for at least to the level of quality I wanted to make it. There were some great stories in there and I will use them again that you didn't see but I won't overfill myself with things to write. It did win me a monthly spotlight so some stories were good but it was too much too quickly. That is the first thing I learnt.

 

The second was being organised and presentation. Over the few shows I had changed the presentation quite a bit until I was finally happy with how it all looked but I felt it was too late. I wanted to start again and have spot on presentation from the beginning not by the 15th show. In Mad King the presentation will be at my best and the organisation will be at its best from the get go. I have plenty off stories that I want to use here and I look forward to writing it. Let me say this though, passion or interest were never the problem. This diary with the previous problems fixed will be here for a long, long time. I love the era and I love to write so let's do this.

 

THE MAD KING PREMISE

 

Alright so this is a diary that I am looking forward to, I got good stories, I know the era and I am excited to pop it all off on paper. Now if you know my other diaries I like to think outside of the box to tell a story. If the story needs to go over to NJPW, ROH or TNA then I will highlight the match or segment or whatever it is. Also new stories will be prevalent as I try to take the stories to another level. It takes place the night after Wrestlemania 24 with three brands RAW, Smackdown and ECW. Now lets talk about 'THE MAD KING' (I don't why I have to shout it). First of all I am not telling you who it is but you will know who it is when he reveals his face. I also want to have a bigger level of fan participant in this diary and thats why I want to introduce the 'Tough Enough' idea. More on that to come.

 

So yes WWE is going to be a hard book but I look forward to the challenge and hopefully there will be some good stories here.

WRESTLEMANIA RECAP, NEW CHAMPIONS, NEW FEUDS AND NEW ALLIANCES.

 

 

Hello PWInsider readers I am your ‘Wrestling Expert’ Malcom Abbott and I just finished watching WWE’s biggest event of the year Wrestlemania 24! Now morons shall we break it down? Before we do remember to follow me on Twitter @MABBOTT and follow my blog right here on PWInsider now lets do a recap.

Pre Show: Kane won a Battle Royal at 10:45 (D) [bATTLE BORING]

To open the show on the pre show that will be surly be on the DVD Kane eliminated 23 other meaningless jabronis to win a shot for the ECW Championship. The match was alright with highlights from the every entertaining yet hardly pushed Miz and Morrison but it’s ok because The Great Khali was in it! I joke it sucked.

 

JBL def. Finlay with a 'Clothesline from Hell' at 9:45 © [bELFAST BULLSH*T]

So you have two amazing brawlers right on the grandest stage of them all in a Belfast Brawl and what do you get? A pretty decent match. Shout out to both men for having an alright opener here and extra credit to Finlay for taking a ‘Clothesline from Hell’ but also to Hornswoggle for taking one as well.

 

Montel Vontanious Porter won the Money in the Bank Briefcase (Other Participants: CM Punk, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin, Mr Kennedy and Jeff Hardy at 18:35 (B-) [MORE OF THIS WWE]

A great match here as WWE showed off their best young talent. Contraire to what we reported earlier this month CM Punk did not win the Briefcase but instead MVP. It was an interesting win for MVP and the match was filled with spectacular spots like Jeff Hardy hitting a ‘Swanton Bomb’ from the top of a ladder to a prone Carlito on an announce table.

 

John Cena def. Umaga with a 'AA' at 10:01 (B+) [CENAWINSLOL]

Alright so this match happened, and I guess I see why they did but it was meh. John Cena defeating the ‘Samoan Bulldozer’ Umaga with his ‘AA’ not much to say here really.

 

Kane def. Chavo Gurrero to win the ECW Championship with a 'Chokeslam' at 0:25 (C+) [HEYMAN IS NOT HAPPY]

When Paul Heyman created ECW this was not what he wanted. The match was minimal just like the amount of people that care about ECW. Kane won the ECW Championship, yay…

 

Beth Phoenix def. Maria to defend the Womens Championship with a 'Glam Slam' at 7:04 (C+) [MARIA?]

Beth Phoenix thank god defended her Womens Chanpionship here. But WWE is MARIA YOUR BEST CHALLENGER? REALLY? CMON??? The match was alright and Phoneix looked strong which is good.

 

Randy Orton def. Shawn Michaels and Triple H to defend the WWE Championship with a 'RKO' to Triple H after Ric Flair interfered at 17:54 (A) [OH SH*T]

This match was amazing…. Just amazing…. It had everything and was just phenomenal. Randy Orton ending up winning the match after get this Ric Flair interfered and attacked Triple H and made an alliance with Randy Orton. Yes Ric Flair. The same guy who was a babyface a month ago teaming with Shawn Michaels now turning heel and putting his stamp of approval on Randy Orton. WWE well done this was awesome.

 

Big Show def. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather with a 'KO' at 9:21 (B+) [KO]

Mayweather did great in this just great. He put on the best performance he has ever done, who watches boxing by the way? Big Show was kept strong however which I like a lot as he knocked Mayweather out! Good job WWE for keeping their guys strong and good job for Mayweather for taking the punch.

 

The Undertaker def. Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship with a 'Tombstone' at 28:26 (A*) [16-0]

THE STREAK LIVES!! Edge who has been one of the best heels in months was defeated by The Undertaker in perhaps the best match I have seen in… well… forever… It was simply awesome and just was great storytelling. Edge is officially a main eventer ladies and gentleman and The Undertaker rightfully keeps his streak as the show ended there.

 

Overall a really nice show by the WWE, is it the best Wrestlemania? No but it was worth the money.

A DRAFT WITH YOU!

Good evening WWE Universe welcome to the 2008 WWE Draft! Now this years Draft is different from any draft from the years before as it will be heavily influenced by you the WWE Universe. Now the General Managers are patiently waiting in their offices to hear the results of the Draft so lets break it down to how it will work.

 

RULES

There will be six categories and they look like this [You pick a category not a brand, this just speeds the process up and more people can be in it]:

 

|| Main Event || Upper Mid Card || Mid Card || Lower Mid Card || Tag Teams || Developmental ||

 

Now once every category will be filled with a representative, once they are we will chat through PM. Once the draft process is complete the preview for RAW will be out and the Roster/Champions/Teams/NXT will all be filled out also. There are some rules to this that will be further explained like Kane cannot leave ECW since he is the ECW Champion and Randy Orton and Ric Flair cannot be split up and there needs to be an equal or close to it, heel and face percentage on each roster. WWE looks to make 2008 as fan interactive as possible and this is the first step.

 

So if you want to be apart of this years Draft comment what category you want to represent in the comments and this will begin. Thanks again WWE Universe!

Very good start i like new thinks you add in this new Dynastie and i like the year 2008 was a great year for Wrestlig and for WWE.

Just want to chime in and say this is pretty awesome!

 

Really tempted to join the draft but I'm not gonna have time the next month so I'll just be following along.

 

Looks great as always, Coc. Hopefully this one stays alive!

 

I mean, I think i understand this right and it seems pretty cool! I guess since no one else has stepped in, I'll take main event then? Sounds like a good idea

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I have got some PM's back and I'll say this the Main Event scene is looking crazy but I love it! Thanks for the words on the look of this, I spent quite a bit of time on the look and hopefully the writing reaches the same level as the presentation.

 

Understandable that people don't have time to do the draft, I can say that is relatively quick to do. If I don't have all six categories filled by Friday I'll do it myself then do the cuts and release the roster and then a RAW Preview. Also I am thinking that I won't have a RAW Draft Edition only because everyone will know who got drafted. Writing the 'Show' column now. Thanks again guys!

UPDATE

 

With Mich joining in and everyone else joining in I have the full rosters for all three brands. I knew the first problem loading up 2008 was the lack of depth in my roster, I think after RAW I will find a solution to that problem but it is still frustrating. I think everyone chose wisely and made some very good choices. Making the cuts as we speak the graphics for the shows have been completed and I finished the 'Show' section on the first page.
