Aniquilacion Total Desatada: Who Put Deathmatch in my Lucha? [T-verse Platinum]

TM: "Coloooooomboooooooo!"

Two Lovely Faces

Tomas looked to be in a bad mood. Not sure why, but often he doesn't need a reason other than he is Tomas Molina. I thought it would be different. We had a good show. We had probably the best main event in the history of the company as well. Danga Drive is with him, but he won and looked good tonight so I don't see him the reason for the bad mood.

TM: "Danga here told me you and Guillermo were having some fun at our expense after last show."

Oh hell, did Danga really overhear that little conversation?

FC: "It wasn't anything harmful. We were just talking and I was making sur-"

TM: "Can the excuses, Colombo. We don't need negative types like you ruining the harmony of the locker room. I don't want to hear about you taking shots at anyone again."

DD: "And you should no better than to insult a star like that. You are lucky I am a nice guy and didn't try to get your fired."

My head is hurting at this point, but I still manage to keep a straight face instead of having an aneurysm.

TM: "No firing today for you, but as a form of apology I want your next article on the website to be about Danga Drive. His name will draw more views and get more eyes on our product. I have other plans soon too so keep an eye out for emails, Colombo. Don't screw up again or I will fine you next time."

DD: "I'll be by later for my interview."

FC: "Of course, sure thing."

I would say anything at this point to get those two away from me. I guess that is partly my fault. I know we got people that love to stir the pot and I wasn't paying enough attention. I won't let it ruin my mood too much. We had a good show and I want to stay positive and hope we can keep up that that kind of quality. I also wonder just what plans Tomas might have in the works.

Aniquilacion Total Desatada Would Like you to Meet: Danga Drive

http://i.imgur.com/Udv1Ebm.jpg

Myahaha!

Unlike most luchadors, Danga Drive did not start his training at a young age. Instead it was another sport that he picked as a youth.

DD: "I like fast things. Fast cars are the best. The adrenaline rush is like no other."

Danga Drive found himself in the world of stock car racing where he made a decent career. He managed a few wins and was never one to have trouble finding a ride or sponsorship.

DD: "I was good. I was better than most of the guys out there in fact. They won't admit it, but it is a rigged sport and if you weren't a white man from the South you were held down."

It was only three years ago that Danga Drive dropped out of the sport he originally fell in love with and took a different career path. After a few months of intense training he made his debut in front of a crowd of ten people. Quite a different sized crowd than he was used to when racing.

DD: "They just don't realize yet that I am going to be one of the greatest. Those people will look back in a few years from now and realize how lucky they were to see my first match."

Despite coming into the sport of lucha libre at a late age, Danga Drive strives to improve himself and it paid off as he found work in August of 2012 when Total Wrestling Revolution brought him in. Further success was found a little over a year later when he started pulling double duty and joined ATD's roster.

DD: "Tomas Molina is a great man just like me. I know he and I together will make ATD something special."

What the future holds remains to be seen. Danga Drive has shown to be one of the top contenders for the title since ATD began. The future looks bright and his attitude were surely help him get to the big leagues.

DD: "When all is said and done I will be in the hall of immortals as well as a hall of famer in racing. Who else can claim such a feat? No one but I, DANGA DRIVE! MYAHAHA!"

ATD To The Death

Friday, Week 2, October 2014

Jalapa Community Center: 58 (300)

Tomas Molina & Guillermo Alonso

TM: "Welcome to another edition of ATD presents...TO THE DEATH!"

GA: "I see we have a barbwire cage match set for the main event. I think from what I have seen Champagne is facing his biggest challenge yet."

TM: "You might be right! Monsta Metal has been on a role, but the champ is old and crafty. We have a lot of carnage and destruction to go through before we see that one."

GA: "Oh good. I was worried I wasn't going to get enough blood splattered on me tonight."

TM: "...."

http://i.imgur.com/2NZqh5L.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/el1j9yt.jpg

Xtremo vs Cráneo Escarlata

A straight up messy brawl. Both men aren't exactly masters of the squared circle and make no attempt to pretend they are. The weapons come out early and play the major role of this match. Escarlata ends up getting stuffed in a metal trashcan and takes a sound beating. Once grounded Xtremo takes the opportunity to go up top and hit a bit senton and get the pin.

Winner: Xtremo

Rating: 25

TM: "Another tough loss for Cráneo Escarlata."

GA: "Hopefully someone will remember to pry him out of that trashcan before the garbage men come by tomorrow morning. Have you ever lost a performer that way?"

TM: "....and on to the next match!"

GA: "I will take that as a yes."

http://i.imgur.com/q4fqgw1.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/TRiDg4h.jpg

Squash vs El Fantasma de Plata

This match very much lives up to the name of one of the performers. The big man known as Squash has his way with ATD's resident super sleuth. Fantasma is battered about and then buried under a few chairs before Squash bounces off the ropes and delivers a big splash on the pile and grabs himself another victory.

Winner: Squash

Rating: 28

TM: "Squash has slowly been regaining his momentum after that surprise loss a few months back."

GA: "I don't think a guy like Squash does things other than slowly to be honest. Nice guy, but...."

TM: "But he is methodical, I know. A slow paced match and using power."

GA: "We'll go with that!"

http://i.imgur.com/8c2Z0e6.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/Df69PKw.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/yF4enyD.jpg

Mexican Perfection vs Jaguar Endemoniado

All those good looks can't seem to save Mexican Perfection from the perfect predator that is Jaguar Endemoniado. It is a game of cat and mouse and Mexican Perfection actually gets the early offense in when he throws a traffic cone as a distraction and then nails Jaguar Endemoniado with a chair. Jaguar starts to fight back after taking a few rough hits and slowly starts to dissect Mexican Perfection with a rather brutal offense. He breaks the shades of Mexican Perfection and as the ultimate insult breaks the glass lenses and rubs them in the face of the pretty boy. Jaguar Endemoniado ends it with a Myths and Legends soon afterwards.

Winner: Jaguar Endemoniado

Rating: 35

TM: "Another win for Jaguar Endemoniado who has looked particularly deadly."

GA: "He seems to prefer to be a weapon instead of using them. This keeps up Mexican Perfection is going to be renamed."

TM: "He may be pretty, but he comes here to fight. I will say he has some guts."

GA: "Just no brains."

http://i.imgur.com/Udv1Ebm.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/wYTWY8k.jpg

Danga Drive vs Médico de la Muerte

Médico gets the jump on Danga Drive and the psycho surgeon picks apart the former racer. He actually rips off part of Danga's mask which just seems to make Danga Drive snap and fight back with unbridled ferocity. He throws Médico into the crowd and begins taking whatever the fans give him to abuse Médico with anything from kendo sticks, to road signs to an old Atari Jaguar. He finally rolls Médico back into the ring and hits the Danga Driver for extra measure.

Winner: Danga Drive

Rating: 30

GA: "Hey a Jaguar was involved in two matches tonight now."

TM: "And I would say both times it was on the winning end."

GA: "I don't know. The game system doesn't look like such a winner after it shattered over Médico's head."

http://i.imgur.com/8c2Z0e6.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/sq4ytNR.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/M5ZMB6k.jpg

Dragón Mexicano vs Hallowe'en

A bit more high flying in this match than the previous ones. Weapons still get involved, but not at such a high rate as the previous contests. Dragón Mexicano ends up with the advantage after some back and forth action and starts to chain some offense together to put Hallowe'en on the ropes. Dragón Mexicano soon hits the Breath of Fire and picks up a victory after a hard fought loss from last month.

Winner: Dragón Mexicano

Rating: 40

GA: "I liked that. You know what I saw there? Those two had something together. They made good opponents."

TM: "A good match to lead into the main event. We got people setting up the barbwire cage right now."

GA: "Champagne has nowhere to run and Monsta Metal might have just what it takes to get a victory here."

TM: "It is going to be a bloodbath no matter what."

GA: "Where the heck do you keep that cage when not using it anyways?"

TM: "I have my secrets."

Champagne © vs Monsta Metal

A slow paced match starting out. Each man feeling one another out while also trying to avoid getting thrown into the barbwire early on. Even if it starts out more wrestling based the two are good enough that they still keep the crowd pleased by a good performance from both men. The cage eventually comes into play and Monsta Metal is the first to taste it. Champagne is ruthless and he drags Monsta across the cage to tear up his mask and tights. Monsta Metal manages to reverse things and soon it is Champagne that feels the bite of the barbwire and the two really start to tussle and make things brutal. Both men get bloodied as the barbwire puts holes in them and tears at flash. Monsta Metal seems to be ready to come away with victory when Champagne is reaching out of the cage and it seems someone slips him a bottle of champagne that he uses to break over the head of Monster Metal when he goes to pick up the champ in an attempt to put him away. Champagne is quick to capitalize and locks in the Champagne on Ice. Monsta Metal is already out though and the referee calls it.

Winner and Still Champion: Champagne (Defenses: 9)

Rating: 60

TM: "What a match! The champ retains once more!"

GA: "I don't know who he paid off, but Champagne escapes that one by the skin on his nose."

TM: "There are really no rules so it isn't like he can break them. He just played it smart."

GA: "One day his luck is going to run out. Who knows when it may happen."

TM: "Well it won't get any easier for Champagne. He may have a standard ATD rules match next month, but he is going against the perfect predator."

GA: "Jaguar Endemoniado? Well I think it is time the hunter becomes king of the hill here."

TM: "We'll fine out next month! Catch you all then!"

For all I know it could be a pink slip. I wouldn't put past Tomas to fire me over email, but at the same time I doubt he would just because I am sure he would take great pleasure telling me to my face. What I got instead wasn't so bad. Possibly the nicest email I have ever gotten from the boss.

Colombo!

I have managed to secure additional funds through our sponsors as well as pick up some new ones. This means I should be making money finally and more importantly we need to look to expand our roster. With that being said I want you to take the following things into consideration. If you choose to not follow these it might not lead to being fired, but I will make you wish you were.

First off I want to look at making money now. I have spent quite a bit to keep the company afloat and it was not easy to swindle money to keep things going. I know we will experience a loss in January due to running our anniversary show on top of our regular one, but all other months I want to see profit. That being said be thrifty with your hires.

Secondly we are looked at still being low on the totem pole. Something I want to change. I have looked at some of these wrestling sites and I am not pleased they rank us as #46 out of all the companies in the world. I want to improve this and I certainly don't want to fall below that. I will not accept falling further behind.

I would prefer you to keep your signings younger for the time being. Champagne has been a great asset to us, but I do not wish to hire more men his age. I do not mind veterans, but anyone over the age of forty-two is unacceptable. I think that is a reasonable request.

Also to quell your insistence that we need to start including promos and other such trash to our wonderful company I do not want you to hire anyone known mostly for their entertainment aspects. I want men that will fight and bleed. Not pansies that prance around and like to talk.

Finally I do not wish to have anyone that has a MMA background. I do not like that style and I think it would not work well in our environment. I believe that is all I have for rules now. I would prefer no more than four new competitors for the time being. Let us see how our gains look after a few shows and decide if we shall hire more come the new year.

-El Jefe

This is reasonable indeed. It makes me almost think this is a prank of some sort or if Tomas was replaced by a pod person. It seems like I have some work to do and find some new talent. The fact I am being trusted to hire the new guys gives me some hope. Hopefully I don't mess up and hire another Danga Drive.

http://i.imgur.com/8c2Z0e6.jpg

ATD To The Death

Friday, Week 2, November 2014

Jalapa Community Center: 123 (300)

http://i.imgur.com/bJ9oFGR.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/NqCdFnq.jpg

Tomas Molina & Guillermo Alonso

TM: "Who is ready for another exciting night of action and destruction? I know I am. So is my partner here."

GA: "Sure, we'll go with that. I hear we got some new talents making their first appearance tonight."

TM: "That is right! We have four new competitors here at ATD all making their first appearance. I am sure it will make for an interesting night."

GA: "I am interested to see who you suckered into a contract."

TM: "....."

http://i.imgur.com/el1j9yt.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/84UqYgE.jpg

Cráneo Escarlata vs Estrella Fugaz

Fugaz seems a bit out of depth at first given the nature of these matches, but it is something one gets used to fast unless they want their head caved in with a trashcan like Escarlata is trying to do. The two duke it out in a brief, back and forth affair that sees the newcomer gain control when he gets a toaster from a fan to break over Escarlata's head. He follows it up by hitting an impressive Shooting Star Press and picks up the victory.

Winner: Estrella Fugaz

Rating: 31

GA: "Cráneo Escarlata is toast!"

TM: "That was horrible. What wasn't horrible is Estrella Fugaz who picks up a win in his first match. How about that Shooting Star Press?"

GA: "I would say it is pretty imPRESSive, Tomas."

TM: "....."

GA: "Oh don't look at me like that. You set yourself up for that one. Kid looks like he might have a good future. Just not here."

TM: "What was that?"

GA: "Nothing!"

http://i.imgur.com/2NZqh5L.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/ogQRzWW.jpg

Deathmatch: Extremo vs Ryder

As if things aren't bloody enough to begin with in most matches these two are going all out with such fun additions like fire. Both men show no regard for their own safety and barely show any for the fans around as they both get dangerously close to crashing and burning into the crowd with some of their wild moves. Xtremo eventually stuffs Ryder in a trashcan then lands on top of him with a Twisting Senton and gets a victory.

Winner: Xtremo

Rating: 35

TM: "It seems Ryder didn't do as well as our other newcomer. We still have two to go as well."

GA: "Ryder is what....an alien invader? Well he is certainly out of this world."

TM: "You make me regret that I hired you."

http://i.imgur.com/8c2Z0e6.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/lVQMce5.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/q4fqgw1.jpg

Deathmatch: El Último Destino vs Squash

Not an enviable task for El Último Destino to go up against Squash in his first ATD encounter. He uses everything he can get his hands on to try and slow the big guy down, but Squash just seems to shrug off a lot of the pain and finally gets his hands on the smaller, more agile wrestler. That is when things go south for Destino who starts to manhandled by Squash and is well.....squashed by a big splash to put the newcomer away.

Winner: Squash

Rating: 30

TM: "No such luck for El Último Destino tonight as well. Looking like Estrella Fugaz ended up a luck one so far."

GA: "They are going to need to peel Destino off the mat with a rake after that splash. Oh hey....they are bringing out the nails."

TM: "That is right. We have so many still left over we are bringing you another Hungarian Nails match between two bitter rivals who are going at it again."

GA: "Given one is a doctor you think he would prefer syringes."

TM: "I am sure that can be arranged."

http://i.imgur.com/8c2Z0e6.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/wYTWY8k.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/7U040iU.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/TRiDg4h.jpg

Hungarian Nails: Médico de la Muerte vs El Fantasma de Plata

The two lock up in a nasty encounter that is more brawl and blood than anything else. Muerte seems very eager to use the nails and Fantasma is not eager to investigate how they would feel piercing his skin. It is a pretty ugly and show match that Fantasma escapes from by the skin of his teeth. Muerte gets so intent on trying to poke an eye out with a nail that he gets caught up in a surprise roll-up. Fantasma is quick to escape too as he enjoys having both eyes.

Winner: El Fantasma de Plata

Sharp Metal Object III vs Dragón Mexicano

The first match of the evening that seems to have more actual wrestling in it over the use of weapons. The two aren't shy about using implements of destruction when handy though so the fans are given the violence they crave. SMO3 looks impressive through most of the match and maintaining control by using his size advantage. Experience pays off for Dragón Mexicano who seems to figure out SMO3 and starts to fight back. SMO3 tries to stop the building momentum and just gets a Breath of Fire in return for his efforts.

Winner: Dragón Mexicano

Rating: 40

TM: "He may be new and younger, but some people might consider this an upset given the pedigree of Sharp Metal Object."

GA: "I have come to find out not to underestimate Dragón Mexicano. He seems to be one that can pull out a win against anyone. Champagne better hope he doesn't have to face him again any time soon."

TM: "It looks like out of the new guys Estrella Fugaz can consider himself the lucky one here."

GA: "We'll see just how lucky he is in the coming months. Most of them I am sure weren't trained to be in a match where vacuum cleaners, toasters and even the kitchen sink are legal as a norm."

Light Tubes: Monsta Drive vs Mexican Perfection and Hallowe'en

What many might have considered a one sided affair ends up being a good even match though the majority of it. Mexican Perfection and Hallowe'en may not have teamed before, but they both don't like the prospect of being destroyed by light tubes so that makes them learn to work together real fast. Monsta Drive team for the first time in ATD, but are known to team elsewhere and their experience advantage certainly helps him. It may be a even match though a good portion, but Monsta Drive start to pull ahead. With threat of having a light tube broken across his face, Mexican Perfection eventually flees and Hallowe'en falls victim to having several lights broken over him before finally being put away with a Danga Driver.

Winners: Monsta Drive

Rating: 47

TM: "Not a bad team until the going got rough."

GA: "The pumpkin did a good Jack O Lantern impression when he got lit up."

TM: ".....must get through.....last match."

GA: "Oh come on. That was a good one. Lighten up a little."

TM: "Augh!"

Champagne © vs Jaguar Endemoniado

ATD's ultimate hunter meets the champion for the first time and it turns out once again to be a good main event. Once again more emphasis on wrestling occurs and the two know just when it is right to incorporate some mayhem to keep the crowd in a frenzy. At one point both men go crashing through a table when Jaguar Endemoniado pounces on the champ who was on the outside apron which ends up being one of the bigger spots. Mild compared to some things done earlier, but still effective and brutal. Both men are looking exhausted near the end, but Jaguar Endemoniado seems to ready to go in for the kill. He makes one last rush into the corner, but Champagne was given his namesake weapon by a fan and smashes Jaguar Endemoniado over the head with it. He locks on the Champagne on Ice for extra measure though it is not needed. Jaguar Endemoniado is out cold from the bottle being shattered over his head.

Winner and Still Champion: Champagne (Defenses: 10)

Rating: 57

TM: "Another impressive win by the champ. Can anyone dethrone him?"

GA: "Age is just a number for him right now. He is tenacious and not afraid to use any means necessary to keep that title."

TM: "It will be harder come next month. A true test for the champion as he goes against three other men in a big four way battle inside a barbwire cage."

GA: "Nowhere to run in there and depending on who he faces this could turn out very bad for the champ."

TM: "We will also see how the new luchadors do as they get another chance to show off what they can do. Come back next month for another great To The Death!"

Aniquilacion Total Desatada Would Like you to Meet: Champagne

http://i.imgur.com/Dla0Kuf.jpg

"Remember, you are either rudo or you are wrong."

For the better part of twenty-six years Champagne has had a long career full of ups and downs. His first exposure was joining CLLM back in 1989 where he started to show the potential of being one of the top starts of Lucha Libre. For four years he honed his craft and began climbing up the card. While he never capture a title he did capture the attention of ILL who soon hired him.

Champagne: "I enjoyed my time in CLLM, but I wanted bigger things. I knew I was going to be great and I thought ILL would be the best place to show just how good I am."

It was during his time in ILL that Champagne started to use his namesake in matches. While often booked as a rudo his actions often got him cheers from the fans to the point he might be the first true luchador that walked that fine line between technico and rudo.

Champagne: "I loved being the bad boy and the crowd loved it too. That is unless I took the bottle to one of their favorites. I had to send them a reminder that I was not there to be their hero."

For many a year Champagne was a top name and held many titles, but all the fame did take a toll and the biggest dip in Champagne's career occurred when his love for the bottle became too much.

Champagne: "I was more than a luchador at my height. I partied like a rock star and enjoyed it all. I do not believe it is as bad as they say, but I do admit perhaps in retrospect I should have had more control."

His popularity waned and his ring worked started to be a danger to himself and his opponents. It was with a heavy heart that ILL had to release Champagne in hopes doing so would help him get on the right path.

Champagne: "I was caught off guard. I was angry and confused. It made me drink more, but then I realized if I wanted to be a star again I must cut back or even stop.....mostly cut back."

For years he toiled with fighting his addiction while finding work where he could. Many of fans thought him retired when it was announced that he would be part of ATD's initial roster.

Champagne: "I look at ATD as CLLM all over again. A place to show I belong in a bigger, better place and that I am once again ready to be a star."

Champagne so far as gone on to be the first and only ATD Unleashed champion since the promotion opened and he has done it through experience as well as being very crafty. Overall he has shown that despite being forty-four that he is in great shape once again and his performance is returning to the days of when he was a star.

Champagne: "I may be older, but I am also smarter and perhaps even more dangerous than I was before. I will reclaim my rightful position as one of the biggest stars in all of Mexico."
