What's going on in your game?

Recommended Posts

Just started a fresh save with WCW on the War of the Worlds mod (September 1995).

I'm using the premiere of Nitro as a premise to "reboot" the promotion in a way. All titles have been vacated. As a way to slowly build up the heat, the first month of booking will focus (in-ring, at least) entirely on tournaments to crown all the new champions, whilst giving the roster a chance to properly develop their gimmicks on-screen and planting seeds for the long-term storylines I have in mind.

Speaking of titles, I plan to bring tag team (and eventually trios) matches up to the prestige of singles matches, so I'm beginning with the following titles (tournaments for each):

WCW World Heavyweight Championship (provisional winner Randy Savage)

WCW World Tag Team Championship (provisional winner Sting & Lex Luger)

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship (provisional winner Eddie Guerrero)

WCW United States Tag Team Championship (provisional winner Dean Malenko & Sabu)

Further down the line, possibly as soon as next month we will see the re-introduction of the WCW World Television Championship (which may well become the cruiserweight division in all but name due to the workers involved) and eventually the WCW World Six-Man Championship (once I've established enough teams).

In the past I've focused almost entirely on creating complex and intriguing storylines that, while enjoyable and satisfying to see play out, render TV matches and title belts second rate. Although I still intend to create and develop characters and storylines fully, I will make a conscientious effort to promote the importance of tournaments, title belts, multi-man matches and clean finishes.

Let's see how it goes.

<p>SNME 23. I don't really mind doing non finishes on some SNME matches. </p><p> </p><p>

Kimberly Page proving she has brain and beauty. Adrenaline regain the tag team titles from The Outsiders in a strap match. </p><p> </p><p>

Kimberly left with The Kliq several weeks ago, but this was only after Adrenaline had lost and she never helped The Outsiders win. I don't make my babyfaces look totally stupid, not most of the time. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Anyway, Kimberly came out and distracted Diesel, allowing the future King Erik? to get the win and begin their second reign as tag team champions. They are definitely going to get a run this time. </p><p> </p><p>

Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Triple H by dq. Lame finish indeed. This must continue. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret and Owen Hart defeat Shawn Michaels and Kid in the main event. Yes, not such a great night for the Kliq. Is this my attempts at Kliq sabotage? No comment. Nah, it just has to be done this way. Not a chance I'm having Austin lose twice in a row, especially not to Hunter, even if his charisma has now jumped to 93. lol Crazy. Mic still lagging behind at 74. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Still not sure how to end the Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart match at King of the ring.. </p><p> </p><p>

Crush made the biggest mistake of his life. He interfered in a Frank Castle match. Castle was challenging Raven in a heel vs heel tv title match. Crush came out while Castle was outside the ring and it caused Castle to be counted out. Castle is going to haunt his dreams and his nightmares. No plans to turn Castle. Just keep doing what you're doing. </p><p> </p><p>

Raven finds this all hilarious. I'm having fun booking Raven. He disbanded the Flock for reasons that have yet to become clear. In other words, I don't have a clue. And why does Crush randomly get involved? Find out soon. </p><p> </p><p>

I got The Undertaker away from Castle by putting him into a feud with Mankind. Yes, another year earlier. Undertaker was out doing a promo with Bearer and Mankind was disguised as a camera man. Undertaker took camera to face, a running elbow dive and then a mandible claw. Started off the right way. </p><p> </p><p>

Helms and the Hardyz scored the upset over Scott Steiner, Mr. Perfect and Otis Apollo. Helms pinned Apollo. After the match, Steiner made Apollo get down and give him 20. Perfect is jack of all feuds now. Need a guy for a match, what is Perfect doing? </p><p> </p><p>

Rob Van Dam retained the Junior Heavyweight title against 2 Cold Scorpio. RVD is now a full on cocky mofo.. His weed does stink. As it should. </p><p> </p><p>

Brian Pillman takes a two month vacation and he will return as a babyface. Maybe. </p><p> </p><p>

Neo defeated the Warlord by dq. This also must continue. Warlord put those Neo 100 selling skills to the test after the match. Furious for taking the loss. Honey, I don't care. And you have earned this defeat. The Warlord of all people, he would be the one to cut shoot promo that nobody understands. You really think I'm going to let you away with that? X</p><p> </p><p>

He should be grateful he gets a feud like this to help establish Neo. Think of the future. As long as he doesn't hurt him. Just now picturing getting a broken neck message after the match, leading to a retirement of the greatest prospect in wrestling. </p><p> </p><p>

*edit* Bret has taken Neo under his wing as well. </p><p> </p><p>

So many Japanese wrestlers gone in this game due to injury. Mutoh, Ultimo Dragon, etc. </p><p> </p><p>

Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Juventud, but did he grab the tights? Questions will be asked. Juventud has been the nemesis of Rey for ages now. They've exchanged wins and losses. Does this prove that Juventud is finally getting to Rey? Only time will tell. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart took Christian under his wing. I'm happy about this. Edge and Christian defeated Too Cool in the opener. Speaking of Bret, he had a great 89 with Diesel on Raw. Proud of them. I do know they had good matches in real life. Diesel, the truck stops here! Getting this rating not long after Diesel signed for me and his ratings stink. Fair play to them. Rare that I see an A rating for matches that last that long (14minutes)</p><p> </p><p>

Dean Malenko was granted a release. Probably the right time since I had nothing for him recently. Haven't really done anything since his feud with Raven.</p>

<p>Just about to go into King Of The Ring with WWE in 2017, with the winner getting a main event title shot at Summerslam the next month. I'm really enjoying this save.</p><p> </p><p>

Roman Reigns © v Dean Ambrose for the WWE Heavyweight Title</p><p>

- Reigns and Ambrose have been feuding for 4 months, with this match at KOTR being their final encounter. Reigns won the WWE Title from John Cena at Wrestlemania after turning heel, and he looks to go on to Summerslam to face the KOTR Winner</p><p> </p><p>

AJ Styles © v Sasha Banks for the WWE Intercontinental Title</p><p>

- I decided to have the women be integrated into the company since there aren't that many good womens wrestlers, and with Sasha being one of the best I thought I would test this. AJ has has the title since Mania, so maybe it's time to lose it, but maybe Sasha can be the second female to win the IC Title.</p><p> </p><p>

Shinsuke Nakamura © v Adam Cole for the United States Title</p><p>

Nakamura beat Rusev at Mania to win the US Title. Over the next few weeks his tag partner Tanahashi got jealous and turned on him, but couldn't take the title away from him and now Adam Cole wants a shot. Nakamura will lose the title soon to go up to fight for the WWE Title, so maybe Cole can be the one to dethrone him.</p><p> </p><p>

The Uso's © v The Legacy</p><p>

- The Uso's won the Tag Titles from The Dudleys at...yep Wrestlemania and have been on a roll ever since. The Legacy, Cody Rhodes & Curtis Hennig, led by Randy Orton, have just started teaming and look to dethrone the Champs.</p><p> </p><p>

Robert Roode v Sami Zayn</p><p>

- Mr MITB Robert Roode has just come off a losing feud to John Cena, so now he's picking on someone he deems as 'weak' Sami Zayn. This is just giving him something to do until he cashes in.</p><p> </p><p>

King Of The Ring:</p><p> </p><p>

For this years KOTR, the participants had matches on Raw to qualify.</p><p> </p><p>

Apollo Crews, Big Cass, Bray Wyatt, Derrick Bateman, Jack Swagger, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe & Tyler Breeze.</p><p> </p><p>

I think King Wyatt has a nice ring to it, so I'm heading towards him winning the KOTR and maybe dethroning Reigns, but then it's a Heel v Heel match, so the next best option is Samoa Joe.</p>

<p>My Warzone brand had a huge PPV main event between my top two babyfaces, KC Glenn and Mikey James for the Warzone title. The previous week I had these two win the tag team titles off my insanely popular tag team of El Mitico jr and Donte Dunn, Mach 2.</p><p> </p><p>

So the match goes 30 minutes and Mikey James beats KC Glenn clean to become the new Warzone champion. </p><p> </p><p>

But what's this? Greg Guage, Matty Faith, and George Wolfe enter the ring. These guys are from the Battleground brand. A stable called The Princes of Wrestling. </p><p> </p><p>

They beat Mikey and KC down and then a title match begins between Mikey James and Greg Guage who cashed in his King of Kings contract won from the King of Kings tournament two months prior. </p><p> </p><p>

Despite the beatdown, Mikey manages to last in a 20 minute match but he lost to Matty Faith interference.</p><p> </p><p>

The following PPV, A Demonstration of Elimination, saw the main event of The Prince of Wrestling (Greg Guage, Matty Faith, George Wolfe and Bret Heartbreak) vs the Kings of the Ring (KC Glenn, Mikey James, El Mitico Jr and Donte Dunn) in a 4v4 elimination match. The entire team of the Kings of the Ring survived and stood tall with them trading finishers on Greg Guage to end the match.</p>

Playing as WWE 2004. Managed to sign Lesnar for another 5 years. I was in negotiations with Goldberg but TNA signed him for 5 years at $63,000 a month. Brought Jeff Hardy back and gave him a reign with the Intercontinental Championship. Also signed Sting and The Outsiders. The Outsiders are currently keeping John Cena busy because I don't want him to start winning championships yet.

<p>First PPV done outside of the United States done quite well. This was how the main event done.</p><p> </p><p>

The Diamond Studd can normally do much better, assume it was because it was a 90-minute Iron Man Match. They will finally settle the score at the September PPV, Masters Of Muscle then The Diamond Studd will feud with The Puerto Rican Connection for the remainder of the year in a sort of Invasion angle.</p>

<p>Inspired to do updates on my PPV's in my save by Alan James.</p><p> </p><p>

The Road to Wrestlemania has begun with the Royal Rumble and I'm dissapointed with the rating.</p><p>

We started off strong with a 92 from The Revival defeating Rollins and Ambrose and Hollywood's Greatest (The Miz and The Rock) to retain their Tag Team Championships. Post match Roman Reigns returned from his injury to team up with his Shield brothers and took out The Rock which will set up their Wrestlemania match.</p><p>

We then followed that by having Jack Gallagher defeat Eckos and Godderz to retain his Light Heavyweight title with Eckos turning on Godderz post match.</p><p> </p><p>

Next up was Cody Rhodes vs Ted Dibiase after Rhodes got sick of Randy's preference of Ted and left Legacy and in an 81 Rhodes was victorious.</p><p> </p><p>

Neville proved to Ryan Sabre why he is the best englishman in the WWE in an 87 rated ladder match to retain his United States Title. Post match he was attacked by William Regal who will be his opponent at Wrestlemania.</p><p> </p><p>

Johnny Gargano defeat Mark Morrison to retain his Cruiserweight title, not much to talk about here just a routine win for Johnny.</p><p> </p><p>

we followed that up with an 81 rated match where Naomi successfully defended her Women's Championship against Alexandra Hart making her tap out after 16 minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

Enzo Amore then took on Rusev and Successfully defended his IC title in an 89 against the Bulgarian Brute. No plans for Rusev but Big Cass is getting annoyed at Enzo being a singles star and will turn on him at Fastlane.</p><p> </p><p>

The next match was Eric Price (a repackaged Erick Rowan as a genius) losing his Global Championship and his unbeaten streak to Noam Dar who rolled him up when Eric went for his usual gutwrench powerbomb. Eric is going to go on a major tear now and attack whoever he wants to.</p><p> </p><p>

We then had Queen Sasha defend her Womens United States Championship against Emma in an 89 rated match before turning heel and attacking her post match but Bayley ran in to make the save. Looking at a triple threat at Wrestlemania.</p><p> </p><p>

Match of the night up next when the Detroit Machine Guns beat Brock and Shelton in an 98 to retain their IC Tag Championships.</p><p> </p><p>

Sami Zayn cashed in Money in the Bank on Chris Jericho back in september to win the WHC and he succesfully defend his title against Okada in a dissapointing 82 rating.</p><p> </p><p>

Next up was the Rumble itself which saw the returns of Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston from ROH, CM Punk from another hiatus after I let him go after Mania 33, Kurt Angle who Brock kayfabe broke the arm of and Goldberg who is going to feud with Rhyno at Mania because why not. Kevin Owens won the Rumble meaning the main event of Wrestlemania is going to be Sami Zayn vs KO for the WHC.</p><p> </p><p>

The main event also dissapointed as on Smackdown a couple of months ago I got a 100 out of Rey Mysterio vs Randy but this time when Randy beat Rey for the WWE Championship that he won when he cashed in on Dolph Ziggler it was only an 83 rating. Dissapointing but Randy will now face Cody at Wrestlemania and Cody will win his first world title.</p>

First off, your game is extremely entertaining to read about. The way you've hung with the loss of big stars and managed to create new ones is perfect for the WWF in this era.

Since you weren't sure what you wanted to do with Bret/Shawn at King of the Ring, I wanted to run something by you. It depends on whether you are running the whole King of the Ring tourney in one night or just the semifinals and finals on the actual PPV. You could lift the finish from Bret/Davey Boy at Summerslam 92. Have Bret and Shawn wrestle a good 35-40 minutes with a slow build in the main event (I'm guessing they have the stamina and psychology to do so.) Then, you can have Bret reverse Shawn's sunset flip with a flash pin. In real life, Bret said that might have been his favorite finish ever. That way, you can continue the feud if you would like, and Shawn would still look good. I don't believe it dings the match rating either. Just an idea. Either way, I'm sure you'll come up with something great :D

(I'd absolutely love some feedback. Any thoughts on anything, ideas, anything would be appreciated. Thanks!)

So it's 1991, It's WCW, I'm Paul Heyman, and Jim Herd is my terrible boss.

Right off the bat I cut ties with the NWA, who needs that kind of an albatross when Vince has been slaughtering us all for years, am I right? So out with the old and in with the new, an eight man tournament is scheduled to take place over the next few weeks to determine the first ever WCW World Champion! Those participants in no particular order are:

Dustin Rhodes

Sting

Ric Flair

Stan Hansen

Brian Pillman

Lex Luger

Michael P.S. Hayes

Barry Windham

First thing, there are three Horsemen in this tournament. It becomes apparent that Ric Flair expects to win the whole she-bang and he expects to use the Horsemen to his advantage in doing so. This doesn't exactly work out, as Flair ends up being eliminated by Sting in the second round. In the mean time, Flair is nowhere to be found when Barry Windham could use some help. The finals, set for WrestleWar, is Sting vs Stan Hansen.

Most of the beginning angles either run their course or kind of fall apart as I make my way through the first month and a half worth of shows. The major thing to note is that after Flair's elimination Barry Windham and Sid Vicious walked away from the Horsemen, leaving Arn and Flair fair game for the debuting Dangerous Alliance! Led of course by Paul E., the Alliance consists of Rick Rude, Bam Bam Bigelow, and the tag team of Bobby Eaton and Larry Zbyszko known as the Phenomenals. Arn and Flair are turned Face in the process, and we have a new big feud.

In the mean time, Cactus Jack and Big Van Vader, led by the legendary Harley Race, have decided to pick on Lex Luger, which of course drew the ire of the former NWA World Champion Sting. Luger successfully defended his United States Title against Cactus Jack at Clash of the Champions and he and Sting lamented about where Vader was with his big challenge. The answer was Vader's final show with New Japan. Once back in the states and signed to a written deal Vader destroyed Luger for the US Title and he and Jack have been running rough-shod over the BFF squad of Luger and Sting ever since.

In other news, Owen Hart and Brian Pillman, the Can-Am Blondes, have excellent chemistry when teaming together. Expect that to go somewhere.

Terry Funk came to town to challenge the winner of the World Title tournament in what has been a steaming pile of disappointment. The guy's not even on Time Decline, but I'm just not getting the ratings out of The Funker that I'd hoped for.

The World TV Title was up for grabs in a 10 Man Battle Royal that was won by the debuting Eddie Guerrero, who went on to lose the belt to Owen Hart, whom Eddie has excellent chemistry with. The battle of the TV Title is on-going, and I brought in "Love Machine" Art Barr as backup and regular partner for Edd G.

The tag team division has been kind of stale, with Doom still holding the World Tag Titles, but The Phenomenals have taken the US Tag Titles from The Steiner Brothers. (And boy, was Scott pissed off about that.)

During the tournament Stan Hansen injured Dustin Rhodes, giving himself a bye into the Finals, and this would become the catalyst for a feud with Terry Funk which as I mentioned before, has so far not been worth a hot turd on the sidewalk. Hansen defeated Sting in the Finale to win the WCW World Championship (with an assist from Vader) and I'm hoping I can either drag one decent match out of Funk before I go on Fire Sale and start making last minute changes at the top of my card.

Speaking. Of. Vader.

Did I mention he helped Big Stan win the World Title? Yeah, let's just say that Sting didn't like that one bit. The two had a stare-down that turned bloody to end the WrestleWar PPV, and I expect that feud to simmer before getting real hot down the line.

In the meanwhile the Dangerous Alliance have been using the last two Horsemen as whipping boys, getting over on them at every pass. Rude went over Flair at WrestleWar (where I found out they had shit for chemistry), and I expect this one to get good quick as rumors 'round the Water Cooler in Atlanta at the office have Ric and Arn hot on the hunt to fill those last two spots in the Horsemen.

And I'll tell you why.

Like it or not...

Learn to LOVE it.

Because Diamonds are FOREVER!

And so are the Four Horsemen.

<p>I ended up making Samoa Joe the KOTR winner for 2017, which means for Summerslams main event it will be Roman Reigns v Samoa Joe. In other news TNA are finally starting to try get my wrestlers when contracts come up, we managed to resign everyone bar one.... Shinsuke Nakamura. Apparently the US Champion would rather be on TNA so I did what I do when someone is leaving. He lost the US Title to Bullet Clubs Adam Cole and then jobbed out to midcarders on Raw. Went from 88 pop around the world to about 71, **** you very much Shinsuke.</p><p> </p><p>

In other news Bullet Club could take over the entire roster, with AJ the IC Champ and Cole the US Champ. I'm tempted to have either Anderson & Gallows or Young Bucks win the tag titles at SummerSlam and have Finn win the World title eventually. Xavier Woods also turned heel on Kofi, with him set to lead his own stable, with Edward Langston as the muscle, pretty much as the New Nation. I see big things for Woods in his career. Also Ambrose and Cena have excellent chemistry as a team, so I made them the 'Faces That Run The Places'</p><p> </p><p>

The card for SummerSlam looks like this:</p><p>

Roman Reigns © v Samoa Joe for the WWE Title</p><p>

AJ Styles v Sasha Banks v Cesaro v Aries v Rusev v Sheamus for the IC Title</p><p>

Adam Cole v Bayley for the US Title</p><p>

The Uso's v Young Bucks/Bullet Club v Certified G's v Legacy* for Tag Titles</p><p>

-</p><p>

John Cena v Randy Orton</p><p>

Brock Lesnar v Seth Rollins</p><p>

Robert Roode v Sami Zayn</p><p>

American Alpha v JeriKO</p><p> </p><p>

* Legacy consists of Cody Rhodes & Curtis Hennig</p>

Still a while before I pull the leash on either of them being champions though I think xD</p>

<p>July 2017, QAW. </p><p> </p><p>

This time of year, the QAW Queen's Contender series rolls around. My first year in charge I did it as a simple battle royal that Alina America emerged victorious from. This year I'm being more ambitious, making it an eleven event, four week long round robin tournament.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="0e8d246f30f81ea35877b7fba2d91880.jpg" data-src="https://gyazo.com/0e8d246f30f81ea35877b7fba2d91880.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

A lot of good match ups here - Purple Viper (Shockwave Champion) vs Danielle Sweetheart (World Champion), Laura Flame vs Foxxy LaRue is a in-stable match for dominance. Danielle Sweetheart vs Foxxy LaRue is champion vs recently dethroned champion. In the other group, Capitano (my UC) betrayed the babyface group Alexis Lee is part of when she turned heel, and has a long on going rivalry with Jillian Jarvis. Pam Rojo and Handley have a similar rivalry going. On paper, group A is a bit stronger, but there are a lot of good chemistry in group B that should result in good matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, two main eventers, Zoe Amiss and Juana Huracán are out with injuries - Juana returning in the middle of the tournament while Amiss has another six months on the shelf.</p>

Send some to nxt to get better in the ring and more over.</p><p> </p><p> New Era no more divas they are superstars now (going lucha underground way male vs female will happen in WWE)</p>

<p>Just into first month of CV97' mod but feel I'm really going to enjoy getting into this.</p><p> </p><p>

Sam Keith, Rory McCallum and Bruce The Giant are the dominant faction in the company right now and recently added a young Tommy Cornell to their ranks. After being impressed with him lately, they aided his win at "When Hell Freezes Over" over the departing Nemesis. Cornell is now North American Champion and with Bruce, Rory & Keith beside him, the now heel starlet is in safe company.</p><p>

Later in the evening, McCallum faced off vs Christian Faith and after a distraction from young Cornell, pulled out the victory over the Figurehead.</p><p> </p><p>

Keith recently defended his SWF Heavyweight Title at the same PPV over the returning Sid Streets. Streets is determined to gain revenge and win the title but has a big climb ahead.</p><p> </p><p>

Jack Bruce recently debuted facing McCallum in a bout on Supreme TV. It was a losing effort but he was saved from a beatdown by Faith. Faith put over Bruce strong and shook his hand, saying "Welcome to the big leagues, kid!". These 2 may continue to cross paths as Bruce makes waves in the company. After a PPV win over No Way Jose, Bruce has gained on average 22 points in his popularity after only 3 weeks in the company so currently sits at about 24-25 across the US.</p><p> </p><p>

I'll soon be implementing a Nexus style storyline. Veteran 'Womanizer' Robbie Gordon will make his big return to SWF TV after years away in the company of 4 future stars. He'll be leading his heel stable of Dark Angel, Rich Money, Tom 'Angry' Gilmore & Tim Westybrook in an invasion style angle where these young guns will aim to make a name for themselves and the company.</p><p> </p><p>

That's the latest. Some young blood being injected into this company of veterans.</p>

<p>A Random Gen named Alexx Muscles or something like that has beaten Jack Bruce.Reason:he was so unsafe in the ring he broke Jack's neck, and audible was called and he is now SWF Champ.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I deleted my save faster than Broken Matt Hardy deleted Brother Nero.</p>
