Diesel finally managed to defeat Jake "The Snake" Roberts and win his first World title. At Summerslam Diesel will face the King of the Ring winner British Bulldog, while the semi main event will feature new WWF European champion Ahmed Johnson teaming up with NFL star William "The Refrigerator" Perry against Kama "The Supreme Fighter and Mabel.

The New Foundation managed to win the tournament for the vacant tag team titles.

The Undertaker managed to defeat Mabel, despite interference by Ted DiBiase and Sycho Sid.

The King of the Ring runner up Lex Luger managed to reclaim some glory by winning the IC title.

The big feuds will be Bret Hart vs. Diesel; The Undertaker vs. Sycho Sid; Razor Ramon vs. Golddust; Ricky Steamboat vs. Shawn Michaels; Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna; and The New Foundation vs. Camp Cornette.

I like everything about this. Keep it up

March 87 – July 2000

WWF Women – Terri Powers (retained against Molly McShane at King of the Ring)

Story – Terri Powers (5x Champion) retained the belt against Molly (whom she beat for the belt at WWF IYH: Breakdown in May). Terri is feuding with all the women (AJA Kong, Bull Nakano, Etsu, Rena Mero, Sherri Martel, and Lita). Lita is the new face of the division and I plan on bringing in Trish Stratus, Victoria, Mickie James, Cheerleader Melissa to start the new era of women. I’m in a super transitional period with this division. It originally started with Madusa, Tina Ferrari, Sherri Martel, and Manami Toyota but between 96-98, I was able to bring in AJA Kong, Etsu, and Bull. I want to slowly phase them out to start a new era until 2005 or so. The plan is for Lita to win the title at Summer Slam and debut the rest of the girls in the following months.

WWF Lightweight – Ikudto (retained the title in a 10 man battle royal at King of the Ring)

Story – Ikudto (3x Champion, random generated wrestler) won the belt at WWF Breakdown against Dean Malenko. I have zero plans for this division besides to keep trading the belt around. Right now the mainstays are Brian Pillman (who I finally got sober after 11 years), Eddie Guerrero (out with a broken neck sustained in NJPW), Billy Kidman, Juventud Guerrera, Dean Malenko, Jerry Lynn, and Ultimo Dragon. I might move X-Pac back down there to rebuild but I’m not positive. It has become stagnate.

WWF Television – X-Pac (defeated Al Snow for the belt at King of the Ring)

Story – X-Pac (4x Champion). Pac floundered for a bit after his feud with Kane (former tag team partner) ended at Wrestle Mania 2000. The plan is for X-Pac to feud with the mainstays of the TV division (Lord Steven Regal, Billy Gunn, Bossman, Wrath, Perry Saturn, and other lower-card talent. I plan on bringing in new talent to build that will fill that division in 2001. For right now, it will remain those guys.

WWF Tag Team – Test and Albert (defeated The Hardy Boys, The Real Main Event (James Mariato and Glenn Gliberti), and Death Inc. (Chris Daniels/Steve Corino) to retain the title at King of the Ring

Story – Those four teams are trading the belts back and forth as I build up some other lower teams like Beer Money, Extreme Death (Low Ki and Kazarian). The Dudley Boys are feuding in a best of five with Edge and Christian. I plan on bringing E/C and Dudleys into the tag team hunt around Summer Slam

WWF IC – The British Bulldog (retained the title against Jeff Jarrett at King of the Ring)

Story – This is Bulldog’s last hurrah with the belt and current stay in the promotion. I plan on having him lose it before Summer Slam and he will lose one last match at Summer Slam before being released. Nothing against him, I just don’t want to deal with him. Other mainstays in this division are: Raven, Goldust, Ken Shamrock, Owen Hart, and Chris Benoit

WWF World Heavyweight – The Rock

Story – The Rock has been feuding with Triple H since Wrestle Mania (Triple H retained against Austin at Mania and then used the sledge hammer on Austin.) The Rock will end up meeting King of the Ring Winner Kurt Angle and Triple H at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat match for the title.

WWF King of the Ring – Kurt Angle

Story – Defeated Benoit in the finals. I plan on giving Angle a huge push. He was in the TV division since his debut and worked in the IC division but I want to give him the main rub.

Other Storylines

Undertaker vs. Kevin Nash

Owen Hart vs. Bill Goldberg

Paul Wight vs. Kane

Vacation/Injured

Vader – Returns in August from Vacation

Shawn Michaels – Returning in January from Vacation

Austin – Returning in November from Vacation

Sid - Returning in January/Signed last month but I have no use for him

The Warrior - Returning in January/Signed last month but I have no use for him

Just...wow.

On other news, I found out there is a duplicate EC3 on my save, with the skills and pop of the current EC3. Whoops. Had to edit that one mid save.

Also, I will need a new gimmick for him since he can't be a Carter without Dixie in the company.

<span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Hulk Hogan, Sting and The Warrior vs. Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

Having picked up the victory against Curt Hennig at Starrcade, Hulk Hogan celebrated in the ring with his friends. But before long, Vader and Harley Race runs in and confronts Hogan. Vader says that he sees fear in Hogan’s eyes and in his soul. Vader says that Hogan is afraid of him. Vader is the No. 1 contender and he demands his match at SuperBrawl.Vader defeated Hulk Hogan in a Thundercage match by pinfall with a Triple Powerbomb after Harley Race interfered. Unstoppable 450 pounds monster heel Vader continues his devastating attack on Hulk Hogan with those big fists. Vader splashes down onto Hogan a couple of times. When, suddenly he is joined by “The Beast from the East” Bam Bam Bigelow. Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow double team Hogan with a devastating Aided Release Powerbomb. Hulk Hogan is kayfabe injured so that he can take time off to film season 2 of the Thunder of Paradise tv series. In july; Sting, The Warrior and Ray "The Law" Traylor managed to defeat Vader, Bam Bam Bigelow and Meng in a 3 vs. 3 Elimination Match at Bash At The Beach, but Vader wants revenge at Clash Of The Champions.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

</span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

In December 1994 Macho Man joined the company to be the best. He's got to start at the bottom like everyone else and work his way up. If Ric Flair is the man, then the Randy Savage wants a piece of him, because he is the Macho Man! The feud really took off after a match at Slamboree when Flair ended up attacking Savage’s father and brother. At Bash At The Beach; Randy Savage managed to defeat Ric Flair in a Lifeguard Match (with Baywatch babes in bikinis surrounding the ring). The match was the first 100 rated WCW match.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

</span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>The Steiners vs. Miracle Violence Connection</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

Four men fit for destruction in one of the strongest Tag Divisions on the Planet. During their stay in WCW, they have had a feud with the Steiner Brothers which, in addition to being a major WCW feud, is also seen as a major feud by Japanese fans even though the two teams never faced each other in Japan.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

</span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Ray Traylor vs. Meng</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

It's a new "Take No Prisoners Attitude" for Ray "The Law" Traylor. WCW is bringing in the best wrestlers from all over the World, but he is still the toughest man to answer the challenges in WCW. He was appointed the special referee for the Falls Count Anywhere Match between Dustin Rhodes and Meng. He puts over Meng's size and toughness, but says he's taken down bigger and badder...</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

</span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Rick Martel vs. Steven Regal</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

Regal is tired about his lack of respect he gets in WCW and how if he has to start reaching out of WCW to destroy other worldly legends, then so be it. The two technicians face each other in a Best Of Five Match Series.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;">

<p>Developing a new-found distaste for Marv Earnest. I decided to start a local company and run an old school rasslin' product: the Florida Wrestling Alliance. I also decided to start the game with no owner to increase the random element, and was really excited when Marv took over. I figured he'd be great for what I wanted to do.</p><p>

Fast forward to five months into the save... Marv has completely re-written the product. We're more conservative than NOTBPW! He removed all Mainstream from the product (so no more need for managers), reduced the Traditional to Heavy, dropped all elements of Hardcore and increased the Realism. Oh, and now we have a little Comedy and Cult.</p><p>

So no blood... no managers... and barely any semblance of storytelling. This hardly feels like a southern promotion anymore. I may have to kill this save and start over.</p>

I release my major stars all the time to let them work somewhere else. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Other Tips</p><p> 1) Do things you would want to see. For example, I love starting in 1987 because it gives me a lot of options. I always have Mania 3 focus on Hogan vs. Andre but then I spread it out. Hogan vs. Lawler or Hogan vs. Bruiser Brody (I have a fascination with Brody so I use him as much as possible) always happen in my games. I love the idea of Hogan having a program with them. Losing the belt and attempting to regain it.</p><p> </p><p> 2) Like I stated above, release workers. Always have a plan for a worker. For example, I always sign certain talent to be in my lower-card to help build up future main event talent. I view each title as a stepping stone. If you were to go look at any of my main event talent (Michaels, Rock, Triple H, Austin) they have Television Title reigns then IC Title reigns, then World Title reigns. I like to build talent slowly over the years. I also like having them in tag teams for a long time as well.</p>

I offered Maya Yukihi a $3600-per-appearance contract to keep her from signing a 4 year Developmental contract with Tokyo Joshi Pro. I feel like the other 3 companies who she also works for should be reimbursing me, honestly.

Fortunately, once I stopped being scared of how the Subscription broadcasters worked and started putting all my shows on Stardom World, we’re making like $90k per show, so we can afford it.

Now it’s a race between us and OZ for cult. They’re currently about a point ahead, but we’ve started a TV show and we’ve gained 3 points in the space of a month. Right now we have an agreement that neither will sogn the other’s talent, but I don’t think it’ll survive once either of us hits Cult.

<p>WWE2004 save update</p><p> </p><p>

Whats going on in TEW 2004 SAVE – Currently June 2004 Week 1 – </p><p>

One week from Bad Blood 3 From Great American Bash</p><p> </p><p>

This will be a lenghty post</p><p> </p><p>

Currently playing a 2004 mod on the road to Summerslam i have started some interesting pushes and gimmick changes in this save will give some bullet points im happy with how things are panning out so far. </p><p>

I opted to let Brock and Goldberg go like in IRL and also Benoit winning the Royal Rumble and moving to Raw stuck as much to RL as possible on the road to Wrestlemania a few things certainly did change. RVD got pinged for drugs so had to supsend him just before mania so made my tag issue interesting i did accidentally forget that whole match though on the card lol.</p><p> </p><p>

HBK</p><p>

Angle</p><p>

Eddie</p><p>

Undertaker</p><p>

HHH</p><p> </p><p>

are my franchise players would love to have Eddie in that number 1 spot he is my fave of all time.</p><p>

Im on starting a mega push for Rhyno as he is my number on next big thing.</p><p> </p><p>

Main fueds on Raw </p><p> </p><p>

HBK vs HHH so this fued as stayed going since Royal Rumble i did had Benoit to it for the Mania Triple Threat which unfortunatley didnt deliver as well as i hoped due to HHH wanting to be protected kept strong etc. (Note in 2004 Push whoever you want to beat HHH to the moon) Creative control is a bitch.</p><p>

At Bad Blood HHH vs HBK will headline in Hell in a cell, This is billed as there final encounter. Sticking to RL with neither of them wanting to work Smackdown. Otherwise it would have been a loser leaves brand match. </p><p> </p><p>

HHH is also a minor part in another big fued in my game HHH and Steph got divorced this pushed forward my big plans I brought in Shane and Steph as managers of a new group of upstarts to take them on. </p><p> </p><p>

AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor will face Orton, Batista and Flair (The new guys are only midcarders Styles is pushing hard for Upper mid so will likely lose here but it went well with the story of the split and i had to go ahead with this.</p><p> </p><p>

In my fave story on Raw Benoit and Kane had a great 93 Match at Bad Blood, and afterwards the then Bubba Ray Dudley attacked Benoit and put him through a table i picture this being a brutal beat down, This lead to Benoit wanting revenge. </p><p>

Bubba came out and Raw and now goes by the name Ray LoMonaco he as a man on a mission gimmick and his promos have been gold, 96 heat on fued hoping this delivers as my Semi main on PPV</p><p>

(First PPV not to have tittle match as main event)</p><p> </p><p>

After Kane lost to Benoit he lost it and will now face Foley at Bad Blood this will be a Hardocore match, I am considerng bringing the Hardcore tittle back as as all my tittles besides World tittles are Floating tittles this could really catch on. Foley losing with The Rock at WM against Evolution and Again with HBK and Shane at Backlash as lead to him moving away Kane viloently beat down Foleys friend Tommy Dreamer and Foley made the save I feel Foley and Kane could have a real good Hardcore fued.</p><p> </p><p>

Booker T and RVD lost their tittles to La Resistance and will go against them this is a place holder as Rob Conway as left the group and started a new Insomniac (losing streak) gimmick i feel he will keep falling to sleep and being pinned hoepfully it will catch on, Need to find him a decent enough tag partner for those 2 teams to fued Booker and RVD may split soon.</p><p> </p><p>

Y2J is about to go tour with Fozzy i had him beat Christian at Backlash after losing at Mania they will have a rubber match at Bad Blood Last Man Standing Christian will win here, He and Lance Storm are back together Storm as been impressive and even had a great match with Benoit on Raw after mini fued for World Tittle. Y2J will liekely find a new partner when he returns</p><p> </p><p>

Talking of Storm he is looking liekly to win IC belt from Henry, Steiner, Hardy and Test at the PPV Mini Fued almost run its course Steiner is now Face so is Hardy, Henry had a mega push to start alongside Long mini Fued with Goldberg but as slowly moved back down the card to Mid card since was as high as Upper Mid at a point.</p><p> </p><p>

Trish turned heel and his now after the womens tittle which until WM was held by Jazz again pushed by Teddy Long as a monster heel but she as run her course for now Meaning she will lose in this Triple Threat match leading to a big 1 on 1 at Summerslam between Trish and Lita.</p><p> </p><p>

Over on Smackdown we debuted CM Punk, Samoa Joe and CW Andersen as the Straight Edge Society they have targetted big names right away Abit of a bulding phase with Lesnar and Benoit leaving really enjoyed this side of the game as Eddie, Angle and Undertaker have to carry the ratings at times while i build With only Eddie Wrestling on a weekly basis Taker as had some huge PPV quality matches on Smackdown but Eddie along with he fueds with Chavo, and Straight Edge Society have really helped the show putting out Bs with CM Punk, Samoa Joe and Chavo helping to elevate them Eddie as felt like my MVP as he as elevated other stars. Undertaker as also helped to make a Upper Midcard star out of Chuck Palumbo alongside Angle who as GM as taking a likeing to Him, Other noteable things Cena struggling to gain traction, JBL breaking out and Billy Kidman and Torrie as heels running the Crusierweight division.</p><p> </p><p>

Eddie vs JBL as JBL is the US champion and Angle likes his attitude of protecting the country from any and all outside threats (Rey Mysetrio Eddie) His words not mine lol like RL. JBL will face Eddie at GAB im not thinking JBL will win here i dont think he is ready. After Eddie moved past SES and beat PUNK at Judgement Day im thinking of having the KOTR winner in June decide who faces Eddie at Summerslam at the moment it will either be Edge, Rhyno or Regal, Im likeing King Regal but feel will need a faction to make it work, and i have a mid - upper mid with SES and feel this would be the same. </p><p>

The Rhyno King would be interesting but im not sure on that one. Edge as won KOTR before but im trying to give him a massive heel push him and Eddie feels logical.</p><p> </p><p>

Elsewere Cena will fued with Chucky P Palumbo in what should be an interesting fued after moving on from his lose to Undertaker Palumbo keeps chosing fueds he cant win Cena needs to win on PPV and he will team with Edge against Chuck and Regal, This should be an interesting place holder untill KOTR, i feel this is a real PLACE HOLDER show and B PPV but it needs to be to move the guys up the card.</p><p> </p><p>

SES have targetted Hardcore Gunn using Crash's drug abuse as a reason to go after Holly this would be below the belt from WWE but certainly plausable they really need a win on PPV and PUNK and Joe are the future of my Smackdown roster. Helps Holly is on time decline and generally since his fued ended with Lesnar - Certainly a midcarder in a World Tittle fued feel.</p><p> </p><p>

Heyman and Rhyno kicked A-train to the curb he got fat and The Big Show didnt like this might team them up as a comedy-ish team Big Show face and high up the card feel i can use this to push Rhyno on as he is behind - Edge and Regal and if he can get above them the Rhyno King is very likely for Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

In a interesting fued Undertaker went against Angle and Palumbo and Palumbo beat Undertaker thanks to Paul Bearer and Abyss now this is a difficuilt prospet as Abyss isnt very good at moment but Abyss will lose to Undertaker here by Rage DQ and push the fued on maybe to a Buried Alive match at Summerslam see where Abyss is at this point.</p><p> </p><p>

In tag teams WGTT broke up as Benjamin is in the hot prospects list this will lead to a solo push. Benjamin teaming with Mysterio against Haas and Morgan here Haas and Morgan are likely to lose but stay together as i have Chavo and is bodyguard Hernandez planned to beat Rey and Benjamin. Ending this team as it was just a way to end WGTT and have a meaningful story, Both members of the team had to find a partner to go against the other as they split as Champions. They have hot potateoed the tittles a little but that will end when Chavo and Hernandez win.</p><p> </p><p>

Kenzo Suzuki as kicked Taijiri out of Kaiodai and they have no chemistry meaning they will likely end on Smackdown before GAB Taijiri will face the best in CW Division Billy Kidman.</p><p> </p><p>

Kidman is set to lose here and probs fued with Mysterio as he claims he is too good for this division i agree as he as had the best match Lesnar had with WWE and he could be great outside of CWs. I am also bringing in Christopher Daniels as a preacher with Tomko and Mordecai as Acoloyts This will lead to him running the division for a while so he will beat Taijiri.</p><p> </p><p>

At the moment Angle is abusing his power on Smackdown leading to Austin becoming the Sherrif of WWE not RAW (Austin as agreed to be whatever is needed so i am going to have one match at Summeslam for now) This will lead to Angle coming back to active duty and losing and Austin bringing in a new GM not sure who yet.</p><p> </p><p>

This is everything that as been going on in my game im loving it and truly enjoy this time period so many young stars to bulild and interesting characters to use.</p><p> </p><p>

If you toke the time to read this thank you and hope you found the stories interesting. Will likely update again after Summeslam.</p>

So I'm running a long term sim with the 94 mod and I'm in November 2001 so far. Here's few things that have stuck out so far. (I'm more than happy to answer any questions about who's doing what, and will doing a longer more in depth write up if wanted.)

The number three company in the US is a cult ECWA who is booked by Paul Heyman after ECW went under. I looked at their title history and Steve Mcmichael is a wait for it....15 time world champion. He has gone John Cena in this company. From his first reign in 1995 to his current reign which started in October. This has been my favorite thing to watch in this sim. He's now 44 and on time decline but I'm hoping he can hit the 20 mark.

Brian Pillman was on the fast track to being a star in WCW back in the mid-late 90's until he got arrested for second degree murder in May of 98 and still has 11 years on his sentence. He was the US champion at the time of the arrest and was closing in on a year reign with the title.

WCW is Global at number 1 and WWf in International at 2. World Champion in WCW is Triple H his second reign with the belt, in WWF it's 57 year old Terry Funk who is on his second reign.

<p><em>'Twas the night before Christmas in Hana Kosei</em></p><p><em>

And people were packed in to watch the display.</em></p><p><em>

They'd come out to see what everyone knew</em></p><p><em>

Would be the best show Stardom ever would do.</em></p><p><em>

As the lights all went down and the ring music blared, </em></p><p><em>

the fans in the center were hardly prepared...</em></p><p><em>

The girls all came out in their costumes aglow, </em></p><p><em>

to wish all the watchers a good Christmas show.</em></p><p><em>

And then our dear Fuka took her place in the light -</em></p><p><em>

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a fair fight!</em></p><p> </p><p>

World Wonder Stardom ended the year in an amazing place. After finally getting over my fear of subscription networks, they've been pulling in almost $400k a month, and popularity is soaring.</p><p>

The final show of the year actually finished by starting more plotlines than it ended, but I was super pleased with what wound up being set up...</p><p> </p><p>

We opened with Starlight Kid defeating AZM & Ruaka to once again retake the Future of Stardom title. </p><p>

This was followed by Kawaii-Kobun defeating the Magical Sugar Rabbits for the Goddesses of Stardom Tag Titles, and Team Djunglevral defeating Team 2K.</p><p>

Kimber Lee defeated Cheerleader Melissa and Candy Floss to win the right to challenge for the SWA United Title.</p><p>

Hazuki defeated Arisu Nanase.</p><p> </p><p>

And then we get into the meat of the evening.</p><p> </p><p>

Mayu Iwatani and Io Shirai have spent the entirety of December fighting for the Beautiful Stardom belt, with the stipulation that whichever holds it on Christmas will get an apology from the loser. </p><p>

Mayu went in champion, but lost the title to Io. However, just as Io was taking the belt from the ref, Kagetsu and the rest of Oedo Tai ran in, attacked Mayu and Io, and stole the belt...</p><p> </p><p>

This plays into the next match.</p><p>

Meiko Satomura had told Momo Watanabe that she would let her challenge for the World of Stardom belt (the top title), but she had to already be holding a belt of her own. Once Momo attained this and challenged her, Meiko opened it up - she would have a match for the World of Stardom belt with anyone who already held a singles' belt. This led to the show closing off with a six-person match - Meiko, Momo, Kagetsu (using the stolen belt), Hana Kimura, Miyu Yamashita and Bea Priestly.</p><p> </p><p>

Then, of course, partway through the match, Io and Mayu come charging out to attack Kagetsu for stealing their belt, which led to Hana, who also had a grudge against Kagetsu joining them - only to be sucker punched from behind by an interfering Maki Ito (who was having a fight with Hana over who is cuter). Then Jungle Kyona came out to attack Bea for having attacked her tag partner the week before, and Oedo Tai came out to support Kagetsu. At this point, the ref threw out the match, and the entire auditorium just became complete chaos - with more and more people coming out to either get their own revenges or to try to help break it up...</p><p>

Finally, Kana and Fuka both came out and threatened to fire anyone who didn't immediately settle down, and the show finally came to a close.</p><p> </p><p>

It was a pretty hot night for a winter's eve. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Also, one of the weirdest things is that Hiromi Mimura, a wrestler that I like, but has<em>resoundingly</em> mediocre stats (which have not increased a single point in the last year) has somehow gone from ET to Upper Midcarder in 1 year, despite losing 2/3 of her matches and often being the worst performance in the match.</p>

<p>Wwe 2017</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="banner.jpg" data-src="https://www.thesmackdownhotel.com/images/wwe2k17/banner.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">WWE New Era – 2017 – Year One Summary</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">League of Nations</span></span></strong></p><p>

</p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;">

The year 2017 was the year of the Factions. Most like the Attitude days of WWE, the factions were important on both Raw and SmackDown. The most successful faction of the year was the League of Nation. The League of Nation came together after WrestleMania 33 when Sheamus turned on Cesaro to reform the group by joining Rusev and the returning Alberto Del Rio. They were later joined by Wade Barrett and Drew Galloway. These 5 men proved to be a force in the WWE challenging first Cesaro and new teammate Chris Hero on RAW and then jumping to SmackDown to face AJ Styles and the Bullet Club (Styles, Balor, Anderson and Gallows). Finally, by the end of 2017, the Nation are now facing a group of All Americans trying to restore peace. </span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;"><em>The future: There is no plans on splitting the Nation right now. Wade Barrett and Drew Galloway are now the SD Tag Team Champions. The American Pitbulls (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) and the American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) are now challenging the Nation until WM34.</em></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/RZKYh8a.png</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Bullet Club</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Bullet Club did not start with a happy story. AJ Styles and the Club were heels and Finn Balor was a face. When Finn Balor was traded to SmackDown, he was faced with The Club trying to recruit him to the Club. Balor decided he preferred the support of Balor Club and fought AJ for a couple of months. Styles prevailed as champion, but Balor won the respect of the Champion. Soon after, Balor was attacked by the alliance of The Miz and John Morrison. AJ Styles and the Club saved Balor and that was the beginning of the Bullet Club in the WWE. The Club defeated Miz and Morrison and were soon after attacked by The League of Nation and prevailed once again.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;">

AJ Styles was the World Champion for the whole year. He engaged in battles against all members of the Nation and finally defeated The Miz and Starrcade to end the year champion.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Future: The Bullet Club faded a bit as Finn Balor and the Good Brothers did their own things while Styles stayed champion. The plan is to have Kenny Omega debut soon with friends and challenging the Bullet club. Probably after WM34</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="f0411042a5efdbc2f772266124a91ffb8832580b_hq.jpg" data-src="https://pm1.narvii.com/6110/f0411042a5efdbc2f772266124a91ffb8832580b_hq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">The Shield</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Story is not about the reunion but again about betray and power. The year started with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on RAW battling JeriKO and Dean Ambrose on SmackDown challenging for the World Championship. At Money in the Back in April, Seth Rollins became Universal champion defeating Kevin Owens and it was at that moment that everything changed. Roman Reigns aligned himself with Triple H to form the new Authority. The feud between Seth Rollins and Triple H was still in full effect and Roman Reigns was about to do HHH’s dirty work. After the Superstars shakeup in July, Dean Ambrose joined RAW and the Shield battle began. Rollins and Ambrose against Triple H and Roman Reigns. It gave us the match of the year in wrestling at SummerSlam 2017 when Roman Reigns defended the Universal Championship against Ambrose and Rollins in a Triple Treat (100 rating). At the end of the year. At the end of 2017, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose continued to fight and Seth Rollins was now the focus of King Cody Rhodes. </span></p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-family:Georgia;">The future: The future for the Shield is uncertain. Roman Reigns is still aligned with Triple H and Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins engaged in their own feuds. Maybe a return of the Shield is in the plans for next year…</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="g0d6k0f5cdurijofm8rf" data-src="https://images.spot.im/v1/production/g0d6k0f5cdurijofm8rf" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">The Cruiserweight Division</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Cruiserweight division was exclusive to the RAW brand. The faith of the division changed when Sami Zayn decided to join the division and challenge champion Neville. The star power of the division was then better after Sami Zayn claimed the title. Challengers such as Austin Aries and Roderick Strong passed soon after. These two joined forces to challenge the new alliance of Neville and Zayn.</span> </p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Future: The Cruiserweight division is stronger then ever. New challengers will emerge in the year to come. Stars from NXT like Andrade Almas, Hideo Itami and Ricochet are coming for the title.</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="Sami-Zayn-Neville.jpg" data-src="https://wrestlingrumors.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Sami-Zayn-Neville.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Woman’s Revolution</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Woman’s division started very slowly, the popularity of the female wrestlers in place did not give them a lot of place on the roster. Separated between RAW and SmackDown, it was very hard to develop something. At the end of 2017, Stephanie McMahon engaged in a feud with Charlotte Flair and helped the popularity of the division. The whole woman’s division was then transferred exclusively to SmackDown.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Future: Charlotte Flair is ruling the division but with Stephanie McMahon trying her best to have the best of her, the battle will be interesting and allies and enemies of the McMahon will rise.</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="charlotte-steph-1477735760-800.jpg" data-src="https://statics.sportskeeda.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/charlotte-steph-1477735760-800.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">The King of the Ring</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;">The King of the Ring tournament is back for 2017. A 32-man tournament to crown the King of the Ring. 16-man from both RAW and SmackDown competed for the chance to become the King of the Ring. This year, it really felt like the tournament was important. The Superstars from both brand were in the tournament. SmackDown’s final featured Samoa Joe defeating Randy Orton as the RAW final saw Cody Rhodes going over Sami Zayn.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;">

In the KOTR Final, Cody Rhodes was victorius. This victory gave him a strong boost and he was then a full Main Event player. The cocky Cody Rhodes was even cockier and played a role in major storylines until the end of the year.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Future: Next year’s KOTR tournament will be as important and will serve again as a jump for a mid-level star to the Main Event.</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="cody-rhodes-ring-of-honor.jpg?w=628" data-src="https://cbssportslocal.files.wordpress.com/2017/05/cody-rhodes-ring-of-honor.jpg?w=628" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Cesaro’s Journey</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:Georgia;">At the end of 2017. A brand new Universal Champion was crowned at Starrcade. In a Fatal 4 Way match, Cesaro surprised everyone and became the new Champion!! It was a long journey to the top for Cesaro. He began the year with his teammate Sheamus who turned on him to reform the League of Nation. Then he tagged with old friend Chris Hero as the Kings of Wrestling. After SummerSlam, he clashed with Brock Lesnar, he when toe to toe with the beast and as seen as a top level performer. He then got his chance for the title by winning a #1 contender match. Was screwed by Roman Reigns and Triple H, but finally got a chance in a 4 way. The Underdog Cesaro claimed the Championship and is the final Universal Champion of 2017.</span> </p><p> </p><p>

<em><span style="font-family:Georgia;">The Future: Cesaro will continued to be a top star in the WWE, but more over challengers are coming to the title. How long can he last as Champion?</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

I love when people do long simulations. Love that Funk is the WWF Champion. Can you provide End of the Year awards, random deaths, etc.

The wrestler of the year makes sense up until Dustin Rhodes wins. Are the Steiner Brothers teaming? They always win tag team of the year for me and a lot of the time they are in the top 10

<p>I'm playing as WCW in 1996, but on the pretense that Bret Hart signed with WCW that year (he had been in negotiations with them prior to signing the infamous 20 year contract), and the "Montreal Screwjob" actually took place at the end of the Wrestlemania XII Iron Man Match - Bret believing that the match was going to a draw, and getting screwed when Gorilla restarted the match allowing Shawn to get the win.</p><p> </p><p>

So we have a few major stories going on in WCW...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Harts</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In April '96, Brian Pillman starts appearing on WCW television again, disrupting broadcasts, messing with the announcers, jumping the guardrail, and so on. At an April Clash Of The Champions, he interferes in a WCW Title match between champion Ric Flair and challenger Sting. While Flair retains, he makes it clear that Pillman is no longer a Horseman, and very much not on his side.</p><p> </p><p>

Sting, meanwhile, goes to newly appointed WCW Commissioner Ricky Steamboat, and insists that Pillman is reinstated as a member of the active roster, so he can get his revenge. So the match is set for Bash At The Beach '96, as Sting teams with Randy Savage (himself victim to some of Pillman's antics) against Brian Pillman and a partner of his choosing. </p><p> </p><p>

Pillman says he had to dig down deep and find a partner he could trust and rely on, and brings out Bruce Hart, with the announcers explaining that they teamed together in Stampede Wrestling. Bruce is a decoy, though, as moments after the match starts, the ring is rushed by Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart, who destroy Savage and Sting. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret cuts a promo explaining how his exit from the WWF taught him that the only people he can trust are his family, and that's who's going to be fighting by his side every single day. He says that being the "team player" and the "company guy" got him nowhere, so he's going to do in WCW what he should have been doing all along - he's going to take over, and he's going to run the whole damn show. This effectively sets up the Hart Foundation as filling the role played by the nWo in reality.</p><p> </p><p>

Shortly after their debut, Pillman was sent to rehab to deal with his hard drug problem. Owen and Jim Neidhart won the WCW Tag Team Titles, which had been hot-shotted around when former champions Sting and Lex Luger fell out, with Luger turning on Sting, going from the Blue Bloods to the Nasty Boys, and finally to Owen and Neidhart. Davey Boy has mostly served as Bret's muscle, but more recently (circa August '96) entered into a brief feud with Road Warrior Animal while Hawk is in rehab.</p><p> </p><p>

As part of their reign of terror, Owen and Neidhart menaced announcer Dusty Rhodes, prompting his old partner Dick Murdoch to show up on Nitro and call them out, reforming the old team. Owen and Neidhart were able to win, but were soon challenged by the Road Warriors - though Hawk was soon once again out of action, leaving Animal to continue his singles run.</p><p> </p><p>

This brings us up to September '96, with Pillman set to return in time for Fall Brawl, where The Hart Foundation will face Sting, Randy Savage, Animal, Dusty Rhodes and a mystery partner in a War Games match. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Horsemen</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After a few losses and miscommunication in tag matches with Arn Anderson, the Horsemen grow frustrated with Chris Benoit. At Slamboree: Legends Reunion, Tully Blanchard (one of the legends in attendance) derides Benoit as not being Horseman material. Jeff Jarrett, jumping ship from the WWF, joins the group to actually bring it up to 4, but not for long, as Benoit is soon kicked out by Anderson.</p><p> </p><p>

Benoit looks for a new mentor/someone to have his back against the collective might of the Horsemen, and finds one in another wrestler signed away from the WWF - Bob Backlund, making his WCW debut. While the Horsemen are able to defeat Backlund and Benoit, Backlund offers Flair a handshake, and is rejected by the World Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

This incenses Backlund who, the following night on Nitro, criticises Flair for not behaving in a manner suiting a champion, setting up a match between the two. Backlund gets hurt, though, and the match is postponed.</p><p> </p><p>

Flair, despite being World Champion, sort of takes a backseat more often than not - for a few reasons. Firstly, he's working through back issues, so not able to have the kind of classic match I'd like. Secondly, I have an insanely heel-heavy roster, and my top babyfaces are all kept busy, so Flair is occupied largely with Horseman in-fighting, with short-term main event pushes for the likes of Road Warrior Animal hot-shotted to the top spot when Hawk is out of the picture, and with hot debuts like Backlund.</p><p> </p><p>

The latter takes centre stage when Flair is without an opponent just one week before he was due to face Backlund. As a replacement, he has to face Rick Rude, coming out of retirement. Rude as a babyface is an awkward fit, but something of a necessity under the circumstances, with no one else of similar standing available to me. My original plan was for either Rick Rude or Curt Hennig to eventually join the Horsemen, but with Rude having come in against Flair already, I'm not sure if that will remain the case. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hogan vs. The Dungeon of Doom</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Throughout 1996, Hogan is embroiled in a feud with the Dungeon of Doom, largely designed to keep him (for now) away from the World Title, and away from the Hart Foundation angle, while still being a focal point of the shows.</p><p> </p><p>

At April's Clash of Champions, he successfully defeats Loch Ness, before getting attacked by the Dungeon's newest member, Abdullah The Butcher. As Ed Leslie had been "The Butcher" only a year before, Abby is renamed "Sheik Abdullah". </p><p> </p><p>

Hogan fights Abdullah across successive pay-per-views, while also fending off the Dungeon's lesser members, eventually besting him in a wild No DQ brawl, and a handicap match against both Abdullah <em>and</em> Kevin Sullivan.</p><p> </p><p>

The Giant remains somewhat adjunct to the Dungeon at this time - getting involved from time-to-time, but mostly following his own path. He ends up winning the US Title from Road Warrior Animal, thanks to interference from the Hart Foundation that drags Animal's attentions in that direction. </p><p> </p><p>

The Giant starts issuing open challenges, starting at Slamboree, where he destroys Wahoo McDaniel. Most of his challenges are answered by veterans, local talent, and so on, though he enters a brief feud with Eddy Guerrero after destroying Mando Guerrero in one of his matches. After The Giant costs Hogan a match to Abdullah, Hulk Hogan interferes in a US Title match between The Giant and Eddy Guerrero, allowing Eddy to score the upset win.</p><p> </p><p>

Around this time, Kevin Sullivan gets injured, rendering the Dungeon of Doom without a leader. With no one to direct them, the more monstrous and uncontrollable members start fighting amongst themselves, and losing more often than they win. Jimmy Hart tries to take charge, but with limited success.</p><p> </p><p>

Hogan faces The Giant in a Last Man Standing match, and when The Giant looks like he could be about to cripple Hogan with a steel chair, Jimmy Hart steps between them, begging the Giant to stop. That gives Hogan enough of an opening to recover, boot the chair into the Giant's face and keep him down for the ten count following a big leg drop.</p><p> </p><p>

The Giant is able to recover during Hogan's celebration, though, and the two brawl all over the arena, taking out referees and security guards in the process. The Giant knocks out Commissioner Steamboat and Jimmy Hart, before eventually being sent packing by Hogan, who has no time to celebrate, as he's jumped by the newest member of the Dungeon, the debuting <strong>Mabel</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>

Mabel and Hogan fight at the next PPV, with Hogan winning by DQ, and getting destroyed by Mabel and The Giant after the match. While Mabel continues on a monster push after the fact, the squashing of Hogan was a last minute decision - Hogan and his clique-mates Ed Leslie and Brian Knobbs beat someone up backstage prior to the show, and were all suspended as a result.</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin Sullivan is due to return at Fall Brawl, so he'll likely interject himself in the return match between Mabel and Hogan there, setting up a "Dungeon of Doom Match" at Halloween Havoc, with the Dungeon's entire future hanging in the balance - if Hogan wins, the Dungeon of Doom disband. If Sullivan wins, Hogan is brought before The Master and the soul of Hulkamania destroyed.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Misc</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Elsewhere over this time...The American Males split up when Marcus Bagwell turned on Scotty Riggs, christening himself "Buff" Bagwell, and forming the team of Pretty Buff with Paul Roma.</p><p> </p><p>

While Riggs is out hurt, Pretty Buff feud with the Nasty Boys, mocking them for looking like they've never seen the inside of a gym. When Scotty Riggs returns, he faces Pretty Buff with a mystery partner, who turns out to be the debuting Tatanka.</p><p> </p><p>

More turmoil in the tag division as Bobby Eaton is ejected from the Blue Bloods, with Regal enlisting new manager Lanny Poffo and embarking on a singles run. </p><p> </p><p>

Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater turn face, declaring that while they might be good-for-nothings, they're <em>WCW's</em> good-for-nothings, and won't stand for the likes of the Harts trying to throw their weight around. After an unsuccessful title match against Owen Hart & Jim Neidhart, they face the relatively new team of Jacques Rougeau & Doug Furnas, when their manager Col Robert Parker turns on his team, siding with the Canadian tandem. </p><p> </p><p>

Jerry Lawler debuted back in May, berating Steve McMichael's commentary, leading to a match between the two, which Lawler won. He continued making a nuisance of himself around commentary, so Dusty Rhodes stood up to him, resulting in a series of matches between the two, with Dusty going over in a Texas Bullrope Match at Slamboree. </p><p>

Later on the same show, Antonio Inoki was presented with an award for Services to World Peace and Wrestling, but the ceremony was interrupted by Lawler, claiming that a King deserved an award more than Inoki. Lawler has since entered into an occasional programme with a variety of Japanese talent, with the aim being (hopefully) an eventual match with Inoki at Starrcade.</p>
