I'm in the last week of September 1996 in my 96 mod. Sid is my champ and I just overtook WCW as the number one company in the world. Actually they fell behind me but number one is number one. In fact, for the first time they dropped out of a bidding war for a talent and I got to keep Sid.

Champs

WWF - Sid

IC - Austin

Tag Owen and Yoko (was Owen and Bulldog until Davey Boy got hurt for a couple of months so I pivoted)

Sid won the belt from Shawn at SummerSlam thanks to a returning Pillman who had just completed rehab. I put together a stable of Sid, Pillman and Austin. I want to turn Owen and Bulldog face to team with Bret against what I'm tentatively calling the Loose Cannons but I would like to find a strong face manager for them. Jim Cornette is doing an amazing job helping Owen and Bulldog get over right now.

Why do they need a manager? Most faces very rarely have a manager let them go alone as the group and use them as managers to one another

If you have a few months, devote some time to developing one of their (probably Owen's) mic skills so that he can handle himself on the mic. Also, he can continue to learn in segments with Pillman, so try to get them in Entertainment angles as much as possible.

Do you have a backstage interviewer? They can be invaluable. In one WCW 1996 game, after months of interviewing the top stars, Gene Okerlund got to A* mic skills and A* popularity, meaning that not only could he teach his interviewees, but he could also lead the segment to higher grades, therefore getting them over faster.

NJPW, 2001-2007.

After losing about 70% of my main event scene, I've managed to salvage it. The G1 is so good for building people up for a title shot too.

Satoshi Kojima beat Nakamura in the G1 here. Didn't want Nakamura vs. Tanahashi 2 back to back with Nak losing, as I plan on giving Tana a ridiculously long run (2 years+) so I had Kojima get an upset. But what was special was within the tournament both Suwama and Goto jumped from midcarders to main eventers, both are excellent title defenses in between now and WK. Also Masato Tanaka and Carlito jumped to lower midcard to upper, both are great choices for my IC title scene, or my abysmal tag team scene.

For my main event scene though it is: Minoru Suzuki, Satoshi Kojima, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Suwama, Shinsuke Nakamura, IC Champ William Regal, and IWGP champ Hiroshi Tanahashi. Which imo is pretty great. I have Ishii and Goto both at main event too but I don't consider them actual main eventers.

This save is fun, has really made me react to losing so many older stars and some unfortunate time declines (Nagata at 36, who just wrestles in multiman tag matches now, and Yoshihiro Takyama)

I'm about 7 years into a fun game idea. I deleted all the workers and promotions, basically everything accept the yet-to-be debuted promotions and the broadcasters.

The idea is that pro wrestling never existed until a retired kickboxer wanted to start doing a live action kung fu show, and that turned into pro wrestling.

My promotion is still the only American one, but the idea has taken off off in Japan apparently, as they're running three promotions over there.

7 years in and the talent pool is still pretty small. There's a decent amount of workers, there's just a smaller pool of good ones. A lot of these randomly generated guys are way more volatile than the c-verse guys. Even if someone's got a positive personality there's a good chance they're showing up to work drunk.

That makes sense, in a way. No one has a tv deal yet, so the guys willing to compete in this new entertainment form probably have a little carnie in them.

The highly successful first USPW World title reign of Wolf Hawkins came to an end at the hands of the man who he had been at odds with ever since his arrival almost two years ago. Next for Frehley is Primus Allen at The Great American Bash in three weeks.

Spencer Spade beat Casey Valentine in a two out of three falls match and will now put him and Necessary Evil in his rear-view mirror.

This latest loss by Natural Storm will lead to a heel turn sooner than later.

As is tradition, we followed this show with the annual Superstar Shuffle:

American to National: Philippe LaGrenier, Marshall Dillon, Bradford Peverell

National to American: Jumbo Jackson, The Rock City Stars, Jamal Byrnes, Andrew Harper

Like last year when Joss Thompson was drafted to the National brand, this year's big move was made for the same reason: to bump a worker who's not quite main event caliber yet down a spot. In Jumbo's case, it's Bulldozer Brandon Smith, who I'm not sure will ever become quite good enough to carry the company. LaGrenier being drafted takes him out of Rich Money's stable (I now believe Alex DeColt was actually on to something when he cut bait on this dude), the Stars get some new opponents, and the others are just shuffling midcarders.

But arguably the real biggest move of the week was Dawn Gemmell signing Rokuemon Matsushita out of development. After Black Canvas closed in 2017, nearly its entire roster was strangely left unemployed for more than a year, not even appearing on independent shows. (I guess they were too popular?) This is USPW, and a foreign monster heel is never a bad thing to have in a promotion like this, especially with Khoklov a part-timer and Krusher Karloff no longer a viable in-ring worker. So we signed him in January and stashed him in developmental to work the ring rust off and pick up some English, and he'll be joining the brand with the two Japanese speakers on the roster (Greg Gauge and Alicia Strong) and eventually allying with one of them.

(Bunrakuken Torii joined WLW in March. Funakoshi is shockingly still unemployed. Razan Okamoto actually left in 2016, then spent nine months in Golden Canvas before joining Burning Hammer, where he is one-half of the Junior Tag champions.)

---

I had another flagship show this month: OLLIE Revolucion.

We opened with the debuting Boom-Boom Jamaica answering La Sombra Jr's open challenge... and beating him to win the Campeonato del Mexico title. Brooke Tyler made her OLLIE in-ring debut, dispatching Velvet Suarez with ease. Amo del Gato replaced Silver Tiger and beat Electrico, who doesn't have it anymore. The main event saw Gino Montero successfully defend against Mystery Man.

I started to process of making him a face manager to help out guys like The Smokin' Gunns but I think you are right. He's far more valuable to me as an interviewer. He got an 88 interview out of Hunter which at this point is no easy feat.

Just finished up with my created company’s biggest show of the year, 5 Star Wrestling’s Wrestle Fest in March 2017. It turns out to be my best show yet, with three 90 rated matches!

Anywho, here’s the show!

Masked Cougar & Atom Smasher defeat Whippy The Clown & Chess Maniac. A rubber match to start WF17, Cougar & Smasher gain revenge against the Demented Duo of 5SW. Afterwards, much to the dismay of the crowd, Cougar & Smasher announce they are disbanding to focus on their singles careers. The crowd applauds as Cougar & Smasher hug in the ring. (75)

Silver Tiger defeats Donnie J. Tiger rebounds impressively after a feud ending loss to Art Reed, as the veteran Donnie falls short to Phil Vibert’s prized client. Tiger remains one of the top competitors in 5SW! (71, Boooo Awful Chemistry)

Fro Sure & Princeton Pryce defeat 8th Street Mafia. Fro & Pryce gain some redemption after losing in their first encounter against Sayeed Ali & Mobster. Two of the hottest prospects in 5SW, this is easily the biggest win for Fro & Pryce yet. (78)

Mr. Lucha defeats Kirk Jameson. A feud built around two men determined to become 5SW Heavyweight Champion, it has become quite personal in the process. Usually a light hearted and playful guy, Lucha revealed an intense side during this feud, and it led to him winning the rematch between these two main eventers. It’s clear this feud is far from over, though! (91!)

El Mitico & Spencer Spade defeat The Expendables. Another tag team rubber match, Mitico & Spade claim their spot at the top of the tag team divison by once again defeating former champions, Frankie Perez & Nelson Callum. (80)

Ricky DeColt defeats Roger Cage in a Street Fight. A rematch five months in the making, Cage sought to gain sweet revenge against the man who cost him the 5SW Heavyweight Championship. Revealing once more a potential alliance between the three, the team of Davis Wayne Newton & Jamie Atherton attempted to interfere for DeColt. Cage thwarted the interference, but it was a good enough distraction to allow DeColt to put Cage through a table with the DeColt 45! (93, MOTN!)

Art Reed & Bulldozer Smith defeated Mighty Mo & Primus Allen. Now aligned with Primus Allen, Mighty Mo was determined to take out former partner, Bulldozer Smith. But after they ambushed both Smith and Art Reed, Bulldozer and Art created an alliance to gain some revenge. Their tag team might not be for long, but Reed and Smith get their revenge at WF17! (79)

Angel De Mexico defeats Thom Barrowman in a Steel Cage to RETAIN the 5SW Television Championship! An absolute blood feud, it all started when De Mexico accidentally injured Barrowman’s shoulder (kayfabe) in a tag team match. Barrowman would brutally attack De Mexico in his return, leading to Angel suffering from injured ribs for nearly two months now (thanks to repeated attack by Thom). When these two men agreed to a rematch, 5SW Commissioner Hannah Potter instantly put the match inside a Steel Cage. De Mexico would come away the victor, winning a brawl at the top of the cage and knocking Barrowman all the way to the mat. De Mexico climbed out of the cage and gladly accepted his TV Title at ringside. (84)

Davis Wayne Newton & Jamie Atherton defeat The Gold Standard to become NEW 5SW Tag Team Champions! The third attempt is apparently the charm, as Newton & Atherton finally pry away the tag gold from the blue chipper team of Jack Avatar & Donte Dunn. It is not without controversy, though. As Dunn attempted to climb to the top rope, Atherton clocked with some foreign object that was tucked away in his tights. Not seen by the referee, it allowed Newton to hit a groggy Dunn with the Fisherman’s Suplex for the win! Gold Standard's first title reign ends after five months. (79)

Nicolas Lopez defeats Jay Chord to become the NEW 5SW Heavyweight Champion! Once one of the most hated 5SW wrestlers to now one of the most beloved, Lopez takes his place atop the mountain. When Lopez was found beaten backstage and later diagnosed with a (real) broken arm, Chord and his running mate Ricky DeColt were accused of orchestrating the assault. Chord denied the accusation, but seeing that Lopez and Chord had been feuding for months and Nicholas was the biggest threat to his title, nobody believed Jay. After Jay Chord won the 2017 Tournament of Champions in February, 5SW Commish Hannah Potter awarded Chord not only with his trophy but news of his opponent at 5SW Wrestle Fest. Receiving news that he would be cleared by WF2017, Potter named Lopez the #1 Contender to Chord’s title!

Chord would attack Lopez leading up to WF2017, hoping to cause a setback. The attack was so bad that Hannah Potter made Lopez sign an injury waiver if he wished to compete at WF2017. In the end, the injury would not stop Lopez from fulfilling his destiny. One of the first locker room leaders in 5SW, Lopez toppled the face of 5SW to achieve one of the biggest wins of his twenty-four year career. Chord's first title reign ends after three months. (90!)

As far as aftermath goes? Jay Chord will be regaining the gold soon. I just wanted to throw a bone to Lopez before he eventually hits his decline, the dude deserved it. And what d’ya know? He hit his decline right after the PPV. Go figure!

And it affords them an insane amount of roster flexibility when you've got the kinda workers they do from top-to-bottom. It also allows you to work through any creative luls you may have just simply by getting to the G-1/New Japan Cup and making a sensible bracket and then tweaking based on the options presented to you based on how it shakes out.

So maybe one year you have a semi-final that works out to Main Event Wrestler X vs. Talented Midcard Wrestler Y, well Wrestler Y has an 0-4 record against Wrestler X and I want to move him up the card. Book Wrestler Y to upset him, and then lose in the Final, do the rematch at Dominion have him lose in a 25minute epic, have Wrestler X shake Wrestler Ys hand. Boom ME Wrestler Y. There are a bunch of other storylines you can use, a bunch of ways you can move the "You deserve it" guys around and get them their day in the sun. And the structure is pretty fool proof once you get it rolling.

I’ve just booked Summerslam ‘01 (having moved it to July). I am very tempted to have WWF lose all their titles.

Hardcore: Taz beat Rhyno on his ‘in-ring’ return; both are joining ECW when they debut at the Invasion PPV in September.

LHWeight: Tajiri is the current champ and will also be joining ECW.

European: William Regal has been the champion since the start of June but is exploding in popularity. I was tempted to have him drop the belt to someone lower but now might have him join WCW with it.

Tag Titles: The Dudleyz are the champs and just defeated APA, E&C and Hardyz in a TCL (the order wasn’t quite TLC) gauntlet match. They will also join ECW.

IC: Jericho is the champion and just turned on Taker in a tag match against Booker T and Triple H to give Trips the win and join WCW (part of the plan to have Triple H look like he’s siding with WCW).

World: Big Show/The Giant beat Austin at Summerslam after interference from Booker and DDP.

If I resist any title changes between now and Invasion, I could have all the male titles with either WCW or ECW.

The only one left is the Women’s title held by Trish but I have Jazz ready to go from development so she could take the belt to ECW.

I quite like the idea of Vince losing all his gold for a while.

I'm playing Burninghamsters 96 mod and in 97 I made a player to control WCW and WWF to alter some thing that were bothering me. I decided to made an NWO and WCW brand for WCW, hired Bruce Prichard to book, they stole a ton of talent for WWF. Owen, Yokozuna, Bret, HHH, Hall, Nash, and Waltman. Before a lot of that happened at had made Austin the figurhead because they weren't using him and it was annoying to me. Then HBK got busted with prostitutes and was fired. Now the WWF champion is the recently rehired Jim Duggan who is in a year long program with Kane. Ech. They haven't used on on a PPV for like 6 months. I don't understand why this game will have bookers who don't use the figurehead all the time. Drives me crazy.

Hulk Hogan, Sting and The Warrior vs. Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow

Having picked up the victory against Curt Hennig at Starrcade, Hulk Hogan celebrated in the ring with his friends. But before long, Vader and Harley Race runs in and confronts Hogan. Vader says that he sees fear in Hogan’s eyes and in his soul. Vader says that Hogan is afraid of him. Vader is the No. 1 contender and he demands his match at SuperBrawl.Vader defeated Hulk Hogan in a Thundercage match by pinfall with a Triple Powerbomb after Harley Race interfered. Unstoppable 450 pounds monster heel Vader continues his devastating attack on Hulk Hogan with those big fists. Vader splashes down onto Hogan a couple of times. When, suddenly he is joined by “The Beast from the East” Bam Bam Bigelow. Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow double team Hogan with a devastating Aided Release Powerbomb. Hulk Hogan is kayfabe injured so that he can take time off to film season 2 of the Thunder of Paradise tv series. In july; Sting, The Warrior and Ray "The Law" Traylor managed to defeat Vader, Bam Bam Bigelow and Meng in a 3 vs. 3 Elimination Match at Bash At The Beach, but Vader wants revenge at Clash Of The Champions.

Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair

In December 1994 Macho Man joined the company to be the best. He's got to start at the bottom like everyone else and work his way up. If Ric Flair is the man, then the Randy Savage wants a piece of him, because he is the Macho Man! The feud really took off after a match at Slamboree when Flair ended up attacking Savage’s father and brother. At Bash At The Beach; Randy Savage managed to defeat Ric Flair in a Lifeguard Match (with Baywatch babes in bikinis surrounding the ring). The match was the first 100 rated WCW match.

The Steiners vs. Miracle Violence Connection

Four men fit for destruction in one of the strongest Tag Divisions on the Planet. It's a new "Take No Prisoners Attitude" for Ray "The Law" Traylor. WCW is bringing in the best wrestlers from all over the World, but he is still the toughest man to answer the challenges in WCW. He was appointed the special referee for the Falls Count Anywhere Match between Dustin Rhodes and Meng. He puts over Meng's size and toughness, but says he's taken down bigger and badder...

Rick Martel vs. Steven Regal

Regal is tired about his lack of respect he gets in WCW and how if he has to start reaching out of WCW to destroy other worldly legends, then so be it. The two technicians face each other in a Best Of Five Match Series.

Being a member of The*Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Curt Hennig and Steve Austin) mean you are one of the elite technicians in the wrestling business. It is a tight knit group and being a Horsemen is an achievement and an honor that isn’t just handed out, it is earned.

Sullivan's House of Animals

Sullivan's House of Animals (Kevin Sullivan, Woman and One Man Gang) is a professional wrestling stable in World Championship Wrestling in the 90's. The Tag Team Titles

As Jim Neidhart of The New Foundation was injured during a title match against The New Blackjacks, the titles was vacated resulting in a tag team tournament with the quarter finals taking place during Monday Night Raw.

Razor Ramon & Savio Vega defeated The Godwinns; The New Blackjacks defeated Bob Holly & Duke Droese; The Can-Am Express defeated their arch rivals The Bodydonnas; and finally Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie cheated their way to victory versus The Smoking Gunns resulting in the semi finals taking place at Summerslam.

The New Blackjacks won the tag team tournament to set up a feud versus previous champions The New Foundation, while Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie seems to blame each other for the loss, to build a split up and a feud between them.

The Undertaker vs. The Million Dollar Corporation

Sycho Sid managed to defeat The Undertaker with a little help from Ted DiBiase and Mabel.

Razor Ramon vs. Golddust

Former Intercontinental champion Razor Ramon is being stalked by the mysterious newcomer Golddust. Golddust is obsessed by everything gold including Razor Ramon's jewelry.

Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna

King of the Ring runner-up Lex Luger defended his Intercontinental title versus arch rival Yokozuna.

Ahmed Johnson vs. The Million Dollar Corporation

WCW managed to steal Steve "Mongo" McMichael for their upcoming Nitro show, but Vince still managed to get some mainstream media attention with former Chicago Bears star William "The Fridge" Perry. Perry teamed with Ahmed Johnson versus Kama "The Supreme Fighter" and Mabel. Ahmed managed to secure the win with a fast roll up out of nowhere. This results in Kama leaving The Million Dollar Team and go solo.

The Heartbreak Kid vs. The Dragon

Shawn Michaels looks to use veteran Ricky Steamboat as a stepping stone into the main event scene and has begun taunting "The Dragon" by calling him a "has-been". The first match between the two ended in 30 minute time limit draw.

The Hitman vs. The Snake

In the match between the two former World champions, "Hitman" finally got his revenge, by defeating the master manipulator Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Bret Hart now targets the World champion Diesel and the belt he lost in the Triple Threat Match versus Diesel and Jake Roberts back in April.

Champion vs. Champion

In the main event two heels collides as, World champion Diesel defeated King of the Ring winner British Bulldog after distracting from Bret Hart. Bulldog is angry and blames Hart for losing the match, which continues the feud between The Hart Foundation and Camp Cornette (Jim Cornette, British Bulldog, Yokozuna, The Sultan and Shinobi).

Longest save start ever, but we are underway! A certain Gringo-El

Borde Recto entered but had his body suit torn to reveal handwraps with red Xs, which stuns MJF to set up the elimination. Final 4 - Sonny Kiss, Aja Kong, and MJF was Runner-up. He wins the WAY over budget BR(You don't even want to know what I'm paying Punk) and secures the first spot in the AEW Elite Championship Tournament to start at All-In 2.

Kenta wins the "Straight to the Main Event" Battle Royale, Jericho is going on tour with Fozzy like a week after All In 2. Which is annoying. We have 2 confirmed wrestlers for our Elite Championship tournament(Punk, and now KENTA) we have 2 confirmed competitors for our Women's tournament (Kong and Savoy) and we have 1 confirmed for the TV title tournament(Sonny Kiss) Bit disappointed that Aja and Awesome had no chemistry, also 2 for 2 in botching what should be on top.

Next up: 'Elite' debut and then All-In 2.

So I am currently in the midst of a WCW run on the Clash of the Titans 94' mod. One of my favorite mods next to the WCW Lives! 2001 mod. Just mainly because of the time periods and all the "what ifs" you can play out.

My current storylines are...

Vader vs. Hulk Hogan

Vader is my "flavor of the month" for Hogan, Vader just came off a dominant story against the Guardian Angel, whom I had given a kayfabe injury, and then a few months off while I figure out how to repackage him. Hogan just "Retired" Ric Flair in a steel cage match at Clash of the Champions. I ended up giving Ric a few months off so that way I can build some new top heels, and move him to more of an "attraction" role. This match however will be my headliner for Halloween Havoc.

The Steiners vs. Pretty Wonderful

I brought back The Steiners to beef up my very shallow tag division. They are basically using Pretty Wonderful as something to do right now while I finish out another Storyline that involves the Tag Championships.

Sting vs. Jean-Paul Levesque

Using my star power of Sting really to try and move Levesque up the card. Also killing two birds with one stone here and getting ready for Sting to dethrone "Stunning" Steve Austin of the US Championship. I need to free up Austin since my current plan for him is too have him Main Event Starrcade against Hogan.

Harlem Heat vs. Cactus Jack/Kevin Sullivan

Harlem Heat just beat Cactus and Sullivan at the Clash for the WCW World Tag Team Championship. This is also killing two birds with one stone as my long term plan is to have Harlem Heat vs. The Steiners at Starrcade as well as have Cactus Jack turn on Sullivan which will lead into a wild brawl at Starrcade as well.

Brian Pillman vs. Lord Steven Regal

Honestly this feud was born by a "great chemistry" note I got on a random match I had them in on a pre-show. I was looking for a way to get the Worlds Television Championship off of Regal so he could move on to work Sting for the US Championship. Brian Pillman was a perfect fit, the only problem is I am not sure where to take Pillman from here as a majority of my heels are going to be tied up for Starrcade, might have to try and shoot Eddie Guerrero up the card quickly before then to slide into the antagonist role?

Arn Anderson vs. Bobby Eaton

This was booked just out of pure fun, Arn Anderson is a babyface right now, but that wont last long. And I also wanted to get Bobby Eaton some more TV time and give him a bit of a push because I like him and he'd be a good solid hand as a "Flavor of the Month" for my champion babyfaces.

I tend to plan things out a few months in advance, and so far my Starrcade cards looks stacked.

I plan on having Austin beat Hogan for the WCW World Championship, and have him go on a reign of terror with the returning Ric Flair, and newly turned heel Arn Anderson. I've also been kicking around the idea of adding Jean-Paul Levesque to that group, but changing his name and character. I also currently have Dustin and Dusty Rhodes in a Tag Team, but my plan is to turn Dustin heel and possibly align him with Ric, Arn, Austin, and Levesque.

My current Starrcade 94' Card looks like this so far...

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan

WCW United States Championship

Lord Steven Regal vs. Sting

WCW World Tag Team Championship

The Steiners vs. Harlem Heat

WCW World Television Championship

Brian Pillman vs. Possibly Eddie Guerrero???

No Holds Barred/Falls Count Anywhere

Cactus Jack vs. Kevin Sullivan

Bullrope Match or Bunkhouse Brawl

Dustin Rhodes vs. Dusty Rhodes

Art of War mod. May 1999. Top two feuds at the moment are Austin and Triple H feuding over the title, and Rock and Mankind feuding before leading into the creation of the Rock 'n' Sock Connection. At No Mercy UK, Triple H botched a move, injuring Austin. Austin is out for a month and will miss the Over the Edge PPV where he was scheduled to get a count out victory over Trips. After vacating the title on Raw, Austin will be the special guest referee for the Rock, Mankind, Triple H title match at Over the Edge. With a little help from the ref, Mrs Foley's baby boy is going to win his first world title!

1999 was supposed to be the year of Triple H. Year long feud with Austin, few world title reigns, possibly winning the rumble. Now, he's getting jobbed down the card and he'll be feuding over the European and Intercontinental titles until at least Survivor Series.
