An important show.

Matt Hocking becomes the last man in the World's Finest tournament by virtue of winning the battle royal, while Brent Hill prevented Bryan Vessey from taking his spot.

The field now looks like this. I think Group A's a little tougher, but not too much so.

It will be the beginning of the end for Vessey, as Davis Wayne Newton and Bart Biggins are the only two members of the New School of Tradition in the tournament. He will soon be kicked out, then either jobbed out or benched until his contract expires. Besides all of his other issues, he's also the only worker on the roster on time decline. (Hill, two years older at 49, is NOT on time decline.)

Rudy wins the All Action belt here so he can have a run, as a new owner goal means I can't re-sign him when his contract is up next year.

The tag title switch is going to end up turning Roderick Remus face. (It's complicated.)

Last year Champion's reign ended at the next PPV. Will history repeat itself?

So between 1995 and 1997 there have been 4 car crash fatalities in my game. Sean Morley, Jun Akiyama, Minoru Tanaka and Johnny Grunge have all died in car crashes. Bit annoying as I was in negotiations to sign Tanaka when he had his.

In other news, I have given up trying to push Richard Slinger on my fans and will have him drop the WCW United States title (I opted, no nWo on this play through). I'm trying to see if I can do something different rather than following the usual "make sure the nWo get formed". I did create Dungeon of Doom though and currently have Big Bubba as the World Heavyweight champion following the vacancy left with Ted DiBiase's retirement.

I will look to phase out all the old "WWFers" over the next few years and build the company around the likes of Guerrero, Jericho, Benoit and Raven - providing they keep fit.

<p>I've just started a fresh TCW game playing as the booker and I'm sort of relearning half of the game as I go, because I haven't played in a good while. You'll have to excuse my noob-ish ramblings!</p><p> </p><p>

I'm only three months in. I'm consistently beating SWF and USPW in show quality, though my TV ratings are still nowhere near SWF. I win the national battles because I hired Khoklov, so that's one less thing to worry about at least.</p><p> </p><p>

I made Golden my champion, though that may have been a mistake because he pretty much refuses to lose to anyone. If I remember correctly from my old TCW game, he's also pretty much impossible to keep once his contract runs down as my owner won't let me match the SWF/USPW contract offers.</p><p>

I suppose at least once he's confirmed as leaving, I can just job him out to anyone who needs a popularity boost. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

The real surprise performer for me so far has been Edd Stone. In terms of in ring performances, he's been a match for anyone and is starting to really get over. He also cuts killer unscripted promos. Unfortunately his singles push has left my tag team division hurting for heel teams. Recruitment needed.</p><p> </p><p>

I have an owner goal to get Marc Speed over, but the only good matches he's managed to have are a few technical masterclasses with Darryl Devine and since they're about the same popularity it's not helping him get over much.</p><p> </p><p>

The award for most useless performer so far goes to Ricky Dale Johnson. His promos are good, but when it comes to actually getting into the ring he's pathetic. I have jobbers that outperform him. He's definitely not main event material as his push suggests. I think maybe I'll start him feuding with Jay Chord and use him as a stepping stone to get Chord to the main event level.</p><p> </p><p>

My Hawkins/Bach feud has been carrying my main event scene for the last couple of PPVs and they always score in the 90s.</p><p> </p><p>

Yeah, that's pretty much it so far.</p>

<p>My SWF is just coasting along with its boring storylines, but the fascinating thing for me is my four child companies. </p><p> </p><p>

I bought out QAW and kept them as a women's only company, and they suddenly are at war with RIPW who doesn't have a women's division of any kind. In Europe, I have two child companies (I forgot who they are right now) who are just hostile with each other right now. But in the last 3 cases/companies, they are in my Child of SWF Alliance and share workers as needed. About once a week or so, I see a report of one of those companies tried to embarrass the other one. Seeing my women's only company badmouth my men's only company in the press is more entertaining than most of my storylines.</p>

Played a little more tonight. I'm 5 months in now.

I brought in the Berzerkers and Ring Generals for my tag division and I'm just working on getting their popularity up now.

I'm putting on consistent 80-90 rated shows, though my popularity is just holding steady at around 77, which is frustrating. SWF and USPW have both fallen to cult size already though, so I guess it could be worse!

I invested in a development territory, and it's working nicely. I've already had significant improvements to Killer Shark and a bunch of my other lower card guys.

Shark and Titan are just about ready for a return to the main roster, after which my tag team division will be really healthy, especially since I also signed Greg Black and reunited High Concept.

I'm pretty happy despite that the main event sucked! Rick Rude won the first ever SMW King of the Mountain tournament and will join WWF on a written contract in october. He has been appearing for weeks on WWF television with the SMW Heavyweight title and the NWA World Heavyweight title calling himself "The Real World Heavyweight champion" while taunting WWF champion Bret Hart and WWF Intercontinental champion Shawn Michaels.

Just had my first 100 match and card and they couldn't have come at a better time. Am playing the Montreal Prelude mod as WCW and have just finished Starrcade '98.

Goldberg won the title off Hogan (who refused to drop to Sting at Starrcade '97) at Bash at the Beach, and tore through the nWo and The Giant, although his main event matches were never of a great quality until now. Bret entered WCW as a heel with the Hart Foundation and proved himself in sensational matches with Sting, DDP, and Ric Flair, before claiming a long overdue title shot as the 'real world champion' against Goldberg. I borrowed the real life angle of Hart revealing the steel plate in Canada as a defence against Goldberg's spear. All this built up to Goldberg defending the title in front of 66,000 hometown fans at the Georgia Dome:

Just so pleasantly surprised that Bret carried Goldberg to a 100 match!

And here is the card - pairing DDP up with the Road Warriors and Vader was one of my favourite angles:

Wrestle Kingdom XI is over, 2014 begins now.

Some important things:

The Hardys were unable to best TenKoji. They continue their Openweight Tag reign.

Tomoaki Honma was unable to best Devitt again. His luck run out and Devitt is 2x IWGP Intercontinental champion.

Koiso Inaba (regen) defeated Kana, making the World of STARDOM change hands every year for 3 years at Wrestle Kingdom. This... wasn't the planned finish, Kana tore her quad. Sucks because she was injured for 3 months prior to her title reign.

Great Bash Heel thwarted Bullet Clubs attempt at recapturing the Never Trios Titles.

Samoa Joe was so close to reaching 6 defenses, the record for the NEVER Openweight title set by Jinsei Shinzaki in 2004, but... Kota Ibushi put an end to that dream.

Kenoh, who won BOSJ in 2013, wasn't able to convert, as KUSHIDA makes his first defense with Junior title.

Rising Dragons set down the challengers Kamikaze and Takeshi Morishima, known as MoriKaze, continuing their reign.

Okada, 2-0 against Kento Miyahara, was upset as he was unable to put away Kento for the Open the Dream Gate title. This makes their feud 1-1-1.

Hiroshi Tanahashi put on a 100* match against Shinsuke Nakamura, and reclaimed his title, beating his toughest opponent. Their feud remains in Nakamura's favor with 5W 2L 1D.

This was a very successful WK. Tanahashi has main evented WK10 and 11, and put on a perfect match twice in a row! He did also main event WK9 but it was a 97 match! More sad news, CIMA and Tomohiro Ishii hit time decline at 37 and 38 respectively. This severely hurts as CIMA was a 5x Junior champion and I thought he had plenty of more time. Insult to injury, as Ishii was never going to be top champion but I wanted Stone Pitbull in his 40s going hard. Shit sucks, but it's okay. I'll figure it out.

Also, should I give Goto an IWGP Heavyweight title reign? Huge fan of him... but I don't know if I should give him the win.

Did Rude never have his career-ending injury here?

I went with the Wrestling Observer rumours, so i did preset Rude to return in may of 95 after WWF did cash him out from the Lloyds of London. So he has been in NWA SMW since then to prepare for "The Real World Champion" storyline (recycling the old Ric Flair storyline from 91).

Opened up my own Japanese promotion with 1 pop in Hokkaido with Hidekazu as owner with my most recent game.

I wanted to tour but with only 10k in the bank, I had to do a regular schedule, doing 4 shows in my first year and I have done 4 in my second year, with one more show to go, currently at 4992, so very much still losing money with only 3 pop now. I've never done a show with more than 3 matches and everything else is as low as it can be, I'm still having lots of fun even with the long wait time between shows.

I just finished my Summer Series two day event where my first ever Heavyweight and Junior champions were crowned, Gidayu Katou and Motoyuki Miyake respectively. Not having another show until Decemeber after doing two shows in a row and posting a big loss in July so I can get the funds back up.

Been playing the Golden Age mod as JCP, looking to take over as WCW.

Time finally comes after about two years.

Unfortunately JCP rises to National inbetween and somehow I ****ed up and WCW became cult.

So now I cant buy any of the awesome talent I helped make, and have to watch as the AI fires half my roster, WWF signs them before I got the opportunity and then starts doing bizarre stuff like turning Flair face and Sting heel.

So now I'm trying to build WCW with what talent hasn't already been taken by WWF or JCP. WWF goes out of its way to make a bidding war for absolutely anyone of worth I offer a written contract, so I'm having to make do with pay per appearance in a lot of places.

My big stars are... Jerry Lawler. Vader. And then.... The Warlord, The Barbarian, Dick Murdoch, Kendall Windham, Rocky King and Jimmy Snuka.

Yay. Gonna beat Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair with this.

So I put the belt on Vader in a match against Lawler, and I put the Tag Belts on Warlord and Barbarian. Plan long term with Vader as my big star.

Then he wrestles wasted twice. As champ. In the main event.

So much for that. Decide after two big losses I don't just want the belt on Lawler.

And that's how Rocky King ended up beating Vader for the World Heavyweight Title.

Download link is available in my thread in The Mods forum. Beside the triple grades (letter, number and Meltzer star) there is also another grade pack with letter and Meltzer star, but without numbers.

In my TCW game I've been putting in 85+ rated shows for the first 6 months and my big legendary PPV Total Mayhem just got a 90. Yet my popularity in the US dropped from 78 to 77 in the first month, and hasn't budged since.

At this point I'm wondering what more I can do.

I've just pissed off Golden by making him lose the belt to Hawkins. I tried everything to get him to be ok with it, but he's just impossible. Threw him a 100k bonus after the show and he's pacified for now. His use in actual storylines is limited since he absolutely refuses to lose to anyone without complaint.

In other news, High Concept are my new tag champs and Greg Black has actually started outperforming Benny Benson after starting out as by far the worst of the two.

Edd Stone continues to kill it. He's managing to get 80+ rated matches even out of my jobbers and his promos are approaching Rocky Golden levels. I think I'm going to turn him face and have him feud with Marc Speed over the International title.

Mighty Mo is on a massive roll, but I'm thinking of calling off his push, as his popularity seems stuck at 65 no matter what I do with him. Shame, as he was going to be one of my big stars going forwards.

RDJ and Brian Vessey are fading into obscurity, as neither seem capable of decent matches anymore. RDJ is at least good on the mic I suppose. I'm mainly using Vessey in dark matches to train up my younger guys.
