Getting ready for Survivor Series 1985 as WWF.

Hogan was being interviewed by Mene Gene. He was surprise attacked by... BOB BACKLUND!! He is back to reclaim the title that is "his." Andre the Giant came to Hogan's aid but it was too late. The damage was done. Andre has started hinting at a heel turn, but the crowd isn't buying into it since he just turned recently.

Tito Santana was a debuting Jerry Lawler's first opponent. He lost via interference from a disgruntled Paul Orndorff who just lost to Hogan last ppv. He wants a title and doesn't care if its the World or IC, he claims hes getting gold!

Greg Valentine won the new US Championship then turned around and lost it immediately to Randy Savage the next week. The following week The Dream Team attacked Savage. Roddy Piper was at the announce table and had seen enough. He chased away The Dream Team, setting up an alliance and a dream team in their own right. Piper and Savage say they're taking away what's most precious to Valentine/Beefcake, the Tag Team Championships!

Vader debuted and squashed main event level talent Terry Funk. Funk isn't going to stand for it though. I plan on having these two feud for a while.

The British Bulldogs and The Hart Foundation are having a lower level feud. Nothing of importance has happened yet.

A lot of lower level talent has been purged and a lot of new talent has been signed.

Signed

Jake the Snake

Bob Backlund

The Rockers

Rock N Roll Express

Arn Anderson

Tully Blanchard

Jerry Lawler

Vader

Yokozuna

Scott Hall

Mean Mark Callous

Jim Ross

I have big plans for Jake. Arn/Tully, The Rockers and RNR Express should really bolster the tag division. Jerry Lawler should help at the mid card level. Vader is getting a monster push that I'm hoping improves his skills and gets over with the crowd. Yoko, Hall and Mark are more for pre show to develop their skills.

I sent Junkyard Dog to rehab and fired Iron Sheik for drugs/negative influence.

Going to try to sign Ray Traylor and Dusty Rhodes soon. Ric Flair will be on watch when his contract runs out.

<p>Well, this is been an interesting return to TEW for me!</p><p> </p><p>

I had started a 1987 save of the UWF, in a universe where Bill Watts does NOT sell to JCP but instead breaks away from the NWA and plans to Go Large. I got to January of 1988 and just put it down for a little while.</p><p> </p><p>

Last week I picked it back up, and/but in Feb of 1988, Verne Gagne died and the AWA was suddenly for sale. I figured, I'd done a nice job of building up Watt's territory...why not get my own?</p><p> </p><p>

Truthfully, I did not expect to win it, but I did.</p><p>

I'm the owner of the AWA.</p><p>

I expected to lose money hand over fist for the first year, but by April I became profitable and my June PPV made over 300K in profit!!! I'M A HERO!</p><p> </p><p>

Gradually I'm weeding out boring talent and bringing in new faces that fit the AWA mold of brawler/shooter. Imagine the UWF but less southern. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I didn't know what to do in terms of story lines, so I had autobooker doing my shows. It set up Savage/Valentine the week after Valentine had won the US title. Brutus was suppose to interfere causing Savage a DQ victory, but Valentine hold onto the title. I gave the wrong road agent notes, though. Brutus interfered but Savage still won, so the next week I had them beat him down. Piper wasnt doing anything so I thought throwing him into the mix would at least be something for the time being. Definitely two of my all-time favorites as a tag team. Might just give them a run with the titles until they butt heads. Have a payoff match at Mania or SummerSlam. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

This might get a little long, so bear with me...

Background

I'm playing a modern day, RW mod (Fleisch's). Starting one or two week before Wrestlemania 2019 and playing as WWE. My whole intention of this save is playing as if FOX bought "SmackDown" as a whole (kayfabe) and not just with a Television deal. As a result my User Character is the officially assigned "FOX Sports Spokesman". As such I brought back a 'hard' brand split after MitB. Some titles are still shared between brands (24/7 & Women's Tag-Team), but generally speaking both brands act independently from each other. Brand exclusive PPVs are a thing again, with one for each brand between the Interpromotional PPVs (Money-in-the-Bank, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble & Wrestlemania). Wrestlemania hard mostly the same results as the real one, with some smaller changes, that I will detail later. Both shows are 3 hours long and the rosters are accordingly big. Both Brands also have a B-show taping before the main show (Main Event for Raw, Superstars for SmackDown). There is also a third weekly show, which is only airing on the WWE Network exclusively and is titled "Live Event Recap", which is basically my excuse of booking people that missed the televised shows. I'm just going to write about the biggest happening.

Rise of Andrade "Cien" Almas

At the Money in the Bank PPV Andrade "Cien" Almas pulled an upset by winning the MitB Ladder match over main eventers such as Randy Orton and John Cena. The Midcarder, apparently a favorite of N'Tuku Asad, the defacto owner of SD, recieved that opportunity despite blatantly "Road Dogging" the "Last-Chance-Pre-Show-Battle-Royal" on the same night. In the upcoming weeks and months Almas got more cocky with each victory, constantly reminding WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and challenger Braun Strowman about his MitB briefcase. It was his fellow Luchadore Sin Cara, that finally stood up to him. The Mystic One bravely challenged Almas to a match at Backlash, but lost, due to Zelina Vega interfering on behalf of her client. Having tasted blood Almas and Vega focused on Sin Cara relentlessy, going as far as recruiting NXT's newest upstart Bandido into their shemes, injuring Sin Cara to the point that the Luchadore missed SummerSlam. Not long ago Sin Cara finally returned and opened a challenge to Almas, swearing to put his mask on the line against Almas' MitB briefase. How will Zelina Vega answer the challenge? What are next moves in the bath of Almas? Only time will tell.

Broken Shield & The beginning of an Empire

Seth Rollins did it! He did it! He defeated Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania! He conquered the beast! He is the Universal Champion! Conquerer of Kings! Conquerer of Beasts! The Man with the Plan!

After winning the Universal Championship at Wresltemania the world seemed fine in the eyes of Seth Rollins. Overly happy and at the very top of the food chain. With Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose by his side nobody would stand in his way! Nobody, but himself... Being too self-absorbed in his own hype he did not realize that there is two men, who saw the same signs as they did 5 years ago. Now they were smarter. Three weeks before MitB Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat match on Raw to become the Number 1 contender to the Universal championship. Roman Reigns walked away from the ring dissapointingly, feeling betrayed by Ambrose, who tried to steal his victory earlier. Nakamura re-entered the ring with a steel chair, seemingly ready to strike Ambrose again, only for Seth Rollins to leave the commentary booth to save his Shield brother. Ambrose recovering only seeing Rollins with the chair behind him on the Titantron, snapped and attacked Seth Rollins until he was a bloody mess. Ambrose was let go from the company later that same evening. With Rollins injury status yet unknown to WWE, they booked Roman Reigns as Seth Rollins possibly replacement two weeks before the PPV, with the Universal title possibly being vacated. A week later Seth Rollins made his surprising return. A much more humble Rollins apologized to Ambrose and Reigns, for his antics post Wrestlemania. He promises to better himself...and then Money-in-the-Bank happened.

In a Main Event for the ages Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins fought with all their arsenal. Almost 30 minutes into the match Roman Reigns interfered and, in a moment to remember, turned on Seth Rollins, allowing Shinsuke Nakamura to become the Universal Champion. Post-match Roman Reigns continued his assault, being joined by the newest signing to WWE...Jacob Fatu, effectively putting Seth Rollins out of action for atleast a month. A week later, with the brand split in full affect, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu were revealed as members of the SmackDown roster, as two of the talents FOX spent extra money on to sign them to their half of the company. Under the name "Empire" Roman Reigns & Jacob Fatu started feuding with the Usos over the SmackDown Tag-Team Championship. They lost the title match at Backlash, when Seth Rollins finally returned to get his hands on Roman Reigns again. As inter-brand matches were no longer possible outside of the big five, the two continued to buy tickets to the shows of the other brand, just to interfere in their respective matches and cut promos on each other. This went as far as Seth Rollins costing Roman Reigns a spot in the WWE Championship Triple Threat match at SummerSlam, resulting in a "No Holds Barred"-match being booked for SummerSlam by Raw GM James Mitchell and SD Assistant Manager Paige. At that very same PPV Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins after 25 minutes, before symbollically leaving behind a Shield T-Shirt in the ring, only to be given a Empire T-Shirt by Jacob Fatu on the stage. The Shield is broken, strong stands the Empire!

Ain't Nobody Realler Than Guerilla

The Raw after Wrestleamania is full of surprises. This year MitB topped that. In the Raw Tag-Team Championship match between The Revival and Ryder & Hawkins Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa arrived in the WWE, completely dismanteling both teams. Two weeks later they were the Raw Tag-Team Champions. Declaring Raw their domain they made open challenges for their titles for several weeks, in which they simply demolished their opponents. It took a union of The Revival and Ryder & Hawkins to finally put a stop to their wrath. Ryder & Hawkins went on to defeat The Revival on Raw for a title shot at Payback, which they ended up losing. Afterwards the Guerillas of Destiny were seen hanging out with AJ Styles backstage, with Tama Tonga teasing a reunion of the "OGs", similar to the one Finn Bálor and The Club just had on SD. To underline that reunion, they assisted AJ Styles in a No.1 contender match against Seth Rollins before SummerSlam. AJ, while thankfull for their help, would rather no re-do the way the "OGs" doomed themselves in Japan. GoD are seemingly happy with this and are currently feuding with the tag-team of Cedric Alexander & Apollo Crews. Funny thing...Tama Tonga lost his gear that one time and had to wear Roman Reigns' Empire vest. Weird how he got his hands on that...

Revolution Horsewomen vs. Undisputed Horsewomen

Becky Lynch has done it! She's at the top of the world and the first woman to win the Main Event of Wrestlemania! Winning both Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships from Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair respectively! In an interview in the week afterwards she and the Women's Tag-Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks talked about being double-crossed by Charlotte in the past and how they didn't just start the Women's Revolution, they are the Women's Revolution. Becky was immediately forced to put her money were her mouth is, by having two title matches at Money-in-the-Bank. She successfully retained her Raw Women's Championship in the opening contest, but lost the SmackDown Woemn's Championship to Asuka, thanks to the return of Ronda Rousey, now alongside her new manager Paul Heyman. On the same event Ronda Rousey was a surprising last second entry into the Women's MitB Ladder match, which she won. Bayley also was injured in the very same match. With one Horsewoman alienated, another one injured, Ronda Rousey and Paul Heyman had an easy time playing mindgames with Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch, going as far as costing Sasha Banks & Bayley the Women's Tag-Team titles against Fire & Desire (Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville) a month later. At SummerSlam Becky Lynch made another successull title defense, beating Alexa Bliss an Rosemary in a Triple Threat match...only for Ronda Rousey to cash in her MitB briefcase, after a brutal 3-on-1 beatdown by the debutants Shayna Bastler, Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir. The Undisputed Horsewomen debuted on the main roster. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks are heavily outnumbered. Can they overcome the past and their own pride to ask for Charlotte's assist?

It's all about the Money

What can you buy from money? A Championship? A Tag-Team? A wrestling company?

How about Conor *censored*ing McGregor? Yeah. That's right, SmackDownFOX made it happen. At the SmackDown exclusive Backlash PPV it was revealed that Conor McGregor would join the SmackDown roster soon, putting many eyes on the brand in this new era. Ofcourse the roster had also something to say on that matter. SD's other big signing was no different. Brock Lesnar showed up alongside Paul Heyman on the very next edition of SmackDown. calling out McGregor, since in kayfabe both men have "Wage matching" in their contracts. As Paul Heyman builds up a huge roster of clients (Undisputed Horsewomen, Authors of Pain, Brock Lesnar) he also manages to have N'Tuku Asad book a match between Lesnar and McGregor for the SummerSlam Main Event under the condition that they sign the contract in person on SmackDown and that Lesnar gets a guarantee to being the heighest paid man on the roster. McGregor's debut on SmackDown was the turning point for the blue brand, overtaking Raw in the ratings. In a Steel Cage match Conor McGregor defeats Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam and now he is preparing for his "Last Ever MMA Fight". Promptly after that announcement Brock Lesnar disappeared from SmackDown again. These two are destined to meet again and I am looking forward to it.

Your roster is pretty stacked. How are you using everyone effectively?

Yeah I went a little overboard but I'm trying to run JCP out of business. Got in a bidding war with Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody but they were willing to pay a lot more for those two than I was. Anyway, I increased Superstars of Wrestling to 2 hours and am trying to run 6-7 storylines in that time, even if it's just a recap angle. Everyone else will be used in tag matches on the pre show if they're a tag team or a 5 vs 5 match if they're singles competitors to improve skill and tag experience. I also make it 5 faces that need momentum vs 5 heels that dont and vice versa. A lot of these guys aren't very over since its 1985 and they weren't at their peak till the early 90s. So they're just my future stars. I think of it like my 80s NXT. Just dont trust the AI to develop them.

<p>Rolling into December with OLLIE, new owner Phoenix appears to prefer his lucha with a little more Pure and Realism, and a little less Comedy and Modern, which has affected how much money I can bring in... but I'm not complaining, as I'm averaging slightly over $80,000 per month.</p><p> </p><p>

SOTBPW raided... of course... and took Hijo del Mephisto, Extraordinario Jr. and Amo Del Gato. So for now, I've managed to keep Gino and Mr. Lucha III. Doubt I'll make it to Cult without losing them, but I'm going to enjoy my luck for now. </p><p> </p><p>

But with the loss of so many heels, I turned Nicolas Lopez. Marcos Flores is champ, but on the verge of hitting 5 years of time decline, so my goal is to flip the title at our January season ender, Aniversario.</p><p> </p><p>

I brought in Ultimate Phoenix to feud with my other main event heel, Silver Tiger. He's 5 years into time decline too... but I love that B- pop.</p><p> </p><p>

And I finally got my announce team to the point of being respectable. Humberto and Ruiz have good chemistry, adequate experience, and Tortega continues to improve. I'm glad I stuck with them. They've started becoming a real positive to my matches.</p>

So I've recently started an new Ring of Honor save which I have been really enjoying. My plan at the start was to put the focus back on great, technical wrestling like Ring Of Honor used to be known for. Delirious and Bully Ray were removed from power and the book was given to long time ROH star Colt Cabana (me) and changes were immediate.

Women of Honor came to an end as the division was just laughably bad tbh.

The Bouncers, Kenny King (Wasn't released, he walked as he was upset), Odinson, PJ Black, James Storm and Rhett Titus were all gone within the first 2 months.

New signings saw the arrival of Joe Hendry, Flamita, Kenta, Zack Sabre Jr, Robbie Eagles, Rey Horus and more recently Eddie Kingston (yet to debut).

As well as this, there was an unprecedented debut of Schadenfreude (Chris Brookes, Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) and the trio immediately put their sights on LifeBlood and both their 6 man tag team titles and their newly won tag team titles. To combat this and multiple injuries to Finlay and Juice Robinson, Lifeblood introduces Rey Horus and Robbie Eagles into the trio. Schadenfreude won the 6 man titles at Glory by Honor but most recently failed to win the tag titles after the return of David Finlay.

One of the big decisions needed to be made at the start was with the ROH World Title and getting it off Matt Taven. At Death before Dishonor, Taven beat Alex Shelley and Jay Lethal in a triple threat, pinning Lethal but the next month at All Star Extravaganza Alex Shelley would beat Taven one on one to win the World Title for the first time in his career. Since then he has made successful defences against Taven, Lethal, Gordon and more recently Marty Scurll.

Also, not a big fan of Shane Taylor but I gave him a chance to impress me. He defended against Lance Archer first but the match wasn't great. Next up, he beat Willie Mack in another bad match. His final successful defence was against Rush and this was decent but mainly because of Rush. This is where I decided to give up on him and my original plan was for him to issue an open challenge which Shingo Takagi would accept, take the title and then drop it to Jeff Cobb at Final Battle. Turns out he was injured so I put the title on Bandido who may defend against Chris Brookes at Final Battle or maybe a higher up heel, not too sure.

Here's the most recent I've ran, Survival of the fittest which I'm incredibly proud of. Winner goes into the main event at Final Battle: https://imgur.com/a/QzG2My1

Not an ongoing game, but thinking about starting one where I keep a Observer style weekly tab on backstage events and news blurbs involving the roster. Would probably be a CGC game, since that company has stolen my attention in recent months. I guess I could have something ala Live Audio Wrestling / Post Wrestling doing the weekly coverage.

ROH Final Battle 2019 is in the books and it was a fantastic PPV: https://imgur.com/a/UCTHZff

KENTA has been fantastic since returning, putting in the best in ring performances in this company and his victory over Jay Briscoe showed he is a main event talent still in ROH.

Originally, Hendry was going to beat Castle but then Matt Hardy was released by the WWE and I thought a Castle and Broken Matt feud would be awesome.

Aussie Open are tag team champions but I felt like putting Brookes over Bandido at this point would be a mistake. Bandido is on top form and banging in some great ratings and with Gresham turning heel, they could have a fantastic match for that title.

Eddie Kingston is back because I think he is a solid, upper midcard and his promo work will help get over people over. I have a tag team potentially coming in next month, that King would align with to kick some ass.

Ishii vs Sekimoto is simply something that would be a class match. Plus, with Tag Wars coming up in January I might make them a team. For now though, this was a one of Ishii appearance.

Finally, ZSJ beating Shelley was planned right from the start as he is what I want to base this new ROH around. A fantastic technical wrestler who can put on a good match with anyone.

Few more changes to the roster over the past couple of weeks and over the coming ones. Matt Taven's contract is up and I am not extending it, Vinny Marseglia and TK O'Ryan are following him out the door. Shaheem Ali and LSG have been released as has longtime employee Cheeseburger.

As you can see on the incoming, Eddie Kingston and Broken Matt have returned but both of them are older and will not be pushed towards titles most likely, instead being used to put over and develop the younger stars. I have no idea how ROH's top prospect tournament is meant to work so I have just signed 8 guys who are young and have never wrestled in Ring of Honor before. So the announced names for the one night tournament are:

Chuck Mambo

Spike Trivet

TK Cooper

A-Kid

Carlos Romo

Senza Volto

Cara Noir

AJ Istria

Owing to his prodigious consumption of Curry, Curry Man must flee the ring every time before his bowels flee before him. As a result, the countout has become a hallmark of his title reign. Unfortunately, Curry Man refuses to consume anything but curry, as it is the source of his powers.

So Curry Man's in Michinoku Pro, won one of their titles about seven months ago and... he's had, a reign.

B3DmwY5.png

This is particularly striking because no defense before this ended in count out. I suppose this is part of his gimmick over there.

Curry Man clearly embarassing his opponents by throwing them out of the ring after hitting his Finisher to get a 10 counts instead of 3

I prefer to imagine he starts every match with an elaborate curry ceremony that his opponents are too polite and respectful to refuse to take part in. The kicker is that the curry is spiked with some kind of laxative that Curry Man has built up a resistance to, so he claims that no one is able to handle his curry cos it's "Too hot, too spicy and tastes great!". So part way into the match, the laxatives kick in and people abandon ship to deal with the after effects. :p

Picked up my old CV97 save, and slowly getting back into it. Custom promotion is EWA which was supposed to be European Wrestling Alliance, I think? But I used the logo and and created Elysian Wrestling All-Stars. We were #2 at National in 2008.

HGC is #1 right now. Though... not sure how.

A 41 year old time decline Christian Faith is their current World champion, which is way better than them constantly spamming Rip Chord... who is 58, and still going. Even though he has 0 stamina and 0 in mostly every other stat!

SWF is 3rd.

Their champion is actually Sammy Bach, which is pretty cool to see actually. SWF, I remember got completely sacked by HGC and PGHW. So... they're doing as well as they can.

Now my company, EWA has a few cool storylines I left open that I've figured out over the past few hours.

EWA Universal: Jeremy Stone vs. Phillip Roberts

Roberts was always a personal favorite of mine, but he had never won the title. Their 1 vs 1 record is 7-1 in favor of Jeremy Stone. This is clearly a 'morally' grey feud. Jeremy Stone is the good guy, and even though Roberts is nefarious bastard, he is extremely talented and deserves a run with the top prize in EWA.

EWA Tag Team: Duane & Dan Stone Jr. vs. Chris Morisette & Jungle Jack

This is one of those spillover feuds that make sense, Morisette and Jack are the tag team champions, and are allied with Roberts. I do love me stables/alliances and such, so this just makes it easier.

EWA Intercontinental: Scout vs. Jack DeColt

I for the life of me can't remember why Scout isn't teaming with Guide, I want to say it is because they have bad chemistry. Scout has had average success in the midcard, and now wants to break out and head to the upper-tiers by beating one of the best in Jack DeColt. He... probably won't. I assume this was a filler defense for the DeColt boy.

EWA Openweight: Luis Montero vs. Buddy Garner

The 50 year old Luis Montero isn't in time decline... I had a big storyline with him involving his son. Montero Jr. broke off his tag team with his father, went to win the Junior title, and eventually the Openweight title. Now Buddy Garner dethroned him and Luis Montero, who had recently vanquished his sons attempt to take over the Montero name calls out Buddy Garner. The old man isn't in time decline yet... but I'm building the story as if he is.

EWA Junior Heavyweight: The Great Hisato vs. Acid

The Great Hisato is currently close to breaking the longest Junior Heavyweight reign. Who stands in his way? Acid. That's all... I don't have the slightest clue what I was going for with this feud.

Thinking of just releasing a large majority of my roster, as it is very bloated, and sort of rebuild it and recover the save!
