The Dynamite Sid
<p>The GMs incentivising/bribing the wrestlers seems like a good angle. You get one pick, I get one pick kinda way. I don't really see why it would need to be any more complicated than that. Maybe one thing that I would add the aspect of brand vs brand match to would be something like who gets the first pick.</p>
Derek B
I've generally always thought that the annual draft was awkward and made little sense... either someone is under contract to a brand, or they are not. But I think with some tweaking you could make it not only make sense, but also use it to launch a bunch of storylines... 1. So, my first step would be to have each brand secretly rank the talents of both brands. These rankings would be kept secret until after the draft. 2. A coin toss would then decide which brand gets to make a match first, with the winner picking someone from their opposition rankings (either by rank OR the actual person/team) to go against the person at one position higher from the opposition... 3. If the host brand wins, they get the person (or team) that matched the rank of their choice. If they lose, the other brand gets the person/team one rank above the person originally picked. 4. Repeat from step 2 with the other brand picking first. With this set up you get a bunch of matches with important consequences, while the rankings system can be used by people on the roster to launch storylines and feuds. With some smart booking in the show you could run some big matches and even deliberately try to steal specific workers if people use the rankings properly. If I were going to run a draft type show, this is the kind of way I'd run it.
pantaloons
It could be like a keeper league in fantasy sports. Each brand could choose a set number of superstars to protect, and these can't be drafted. Anyone else is fair game.
MinimiMax
I'm thinking of changing my figurehead. John Cena is starting to have a very negative effect (-15%) and I don't think that's gonna change anytime soon with the plans I have for him since I'm mostly using him to get other people over. My problem is that I don't really know who could fill his spot. Reigns is one of my top heels, for people like Rollins and Ziggler I'd like to keep the possibility of a heel turn. I was thinking of Shinsuke Nakamura until I went to see who the tour thing lists as the most popular stars of the company. One name popped out that I didn't even think of; Kazuchika Okada. What do you think, should I pass the honor to him?
HighDefOverDose
Recently got back into TEW after 6 months away from the game... I'm booking WWE 2005 (one of my favourite recent years) Has anyone come up with good ways of holding the 'yearly draft'? I don't want to have the brands complete in matches with the winners brand getting a new pick (because why would superstars want new superstars on their brand? it adds more threats to them so makes no sense). Thanks Non champ tag vs non tag champ. Winners get title shots and win draft pick. Repeat with women, midcarder and main eventer. Could have a 10 man battle royal for the midcarders, then could still have a multi man tag team match, if your two GM'S are face and heel. To stretch it out make each match for two draft pics. Gungner
You could also do it like they did in 2005 irl. Have one pick pr. week, two on the last week, and pretend it's all random pics. That's what I did in my 2004 save, when I made it to 2005.
Winter8905
Got a Title based question. Currently on the 1987 mod. As WWF at 1990 July 1990 . I'm considering having a TV title. Now it appears that with that added there would be too many titles, however there would be a structure to avoid overlapping of importance hopefully. I'd have WWF World Heavyweight title- The top strap for the Main eventers. WWF Intercontinental- Designed for the Uppermidcarders and low Main eventers. meant to use this mostly to get over my new main eventers, take guys from low Uppermidcard up to Low Main event. Used for the old Maineventers that may never reach that top top spot anymore but can gatekeep the Main event scene, hold the title to put over the new rising stars like a Piper holding it to put over a Bret Hart etc. WWF World Tag Team Titles: A flexible floating title that for the foresseing able future will be held by low Main event/ High Upper midcard regular tag teams, with the occasional top guy main event tag team like Mega Powers holding it and maybe the shock midcard team win. WWF United States Title A title for the higher level Midcarders that I want to break away from midcard pack and push towards the IC level. Young midcarders will have it and older stars at uppermidcard but on the decline will have it. Like currently Sgt Slaughter is it's current champion. About to win a feud with Austin to retain. This was a test for Austin, 1990 is too early for an Austin title run and push up the card, but this was the start for him. Pillman will be put in a feud with Slaughter, he too will not capture the title, leading too a Hollywood Blondes tag team and later on Pillman and Austin will eventually get a US title run each. Guy like Slaughter, Duggen, Beefcake, Valentine will be the gatekeepers of the title for guys like Pillman, DDP and Austin to earn a title reign from. Flair will get involved in the US title role in a year or two. WWF TV title I was considering this being a new title for the Lower midcarders to compete against and get TV time, the holder would want this title as it guaranteed a TV match ever week and a PPV match. It would be to get my unknown guys over to the midcard and towards the US title scene. in 1992/93 I''be looking for a Cruiserweight division so i'm unsure how the TV would fit in if that was the case. marsupial311
What do you guys do when your roster starts to get bloated? I've been doing what I thought was a good job keeping my roster size down but now two years into a save, I've called up a bunch of developmental guys and a lot of my main roster is on long term contracts. I'm currently at 50 active wrestlers with two on hiatus and the next contract that comes up is in 270 days . 50 doesn't seem like enough for a brand split though. Should I keep signing guys to build a second brand or just let my enhancement talents and openers sit in the preshow for awhile?

MinimiMax
I made quite a big decision today that I kinda started to regret. I had John Cena tap out, although it was against Samoa Joe in a Coquina Clutch so technically it doesn't need to be a tap out, he could have just passed out. And this happened on Raw, which is what makes me kinda want to take it back because this is to me almost like breaking The Undertaker's streak... it needs to be special. So how should I handle this? Should I just make it so he didn't actually tap out and bring it up later in a full storyline? Because on top of all of this, it was just a #1 Contender's match in which I wanted to make Joe a legitimate threat to the champion which is why this happened. I like to make use of the give time off, feature when my roster gets a bit bloated, just give one or two guys from each card position a month off and then repeat. In my Death of WCW save, currently have DDP, Benoit, Nash, Mr. Perfect, Stevie Richards, Al Snow, Val Venis, Godfather and and Funaki on time off, although with the RTC guys its because their stable has ended and I'm waiting a while to bring them back with new gimmicks and I've split up Kaientai to give TAKA a new tag team push with Tajiri, so that's why Funaki is on holiday.
