<p>Ok, I'm starting up AEW(because who isn't it's the most exciting startup move in wrestling since Hogan signed at Disneyland) And I'm looking to start up a rival stable run by Jim Cornette called the Cult of Cornette with Jim shooting on Kenny Omega and the Elite for killing the business and Tony Khan questioning if the Elite really are the right men for the jobs. Cornette's always had a chub for Matt Morgan, so I brought him in on a limited dates Lesnar like deal to basically wrestle a couple of title tournament matches and do some TV with Cornette's crew when we're taping in the Florida area. That made enough logical sense to pull the trigger on. I need a female worker, a tag team, and someone to win my TV title tournament who's not under written contract in the present day that Cornette would stake his reputation on. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm thinking about bringing in the Basham's or Dinsmore and Conway, but they seem far weaker options from a work rate/overness standpoint. Obviously, The Revival would be ideal, but they're under WWE deals for the next two eternities, so can't be them. Anybody obvious I'm missing?</p>

Simon Gotch would be good as would Jake Hager (swagger) They have the old school style and are guys I can see Cornette backing. Also a huge swerve would be having Cody join up with Cornette, he has tradition in his blood, wrestles an old school style, and could go with the whole using the Young Bucks and Omega to get the money to set up the promotion gimmick.

Personally I like the Matt Morgan thing every major company needs a giant and it makes sense to pair Cornette and Morgan. But honestly I would have Cornette find younger guys he could mold into stars. If you want to go with guys off of the current AEW roster Adam Page would be a good pick. MJF and the best friends could be solid too. MJF is an obvious fit and you could have the Best Friends go on a losing streak and have Cornette offer to help them by cutting out all of the silly crap they do, or have Trent turn on Chuck and side with Cornette. You could also have Brandon Cutler turn on the Bucks and tell them he's more than just their camera man. Finally for the female I would suggest Dr. Britt Baker, Cornette has come and praised Adam Cole before so here's an obvious connection.

While normally I agree, this is going to be D-Day, he's gotta take a belt with his entrants in the tournaments or he won't have any clout with Khan. So he's gotta have legit guys that can be threats yesterday. Adam Page is a legit option, but I may have other plans for him and Storm. MJF isn't over enough atm, same with Britt Baker, I'm probably leaning towards Nicole Savoy or Mercedes Martinez but I want to keep both face...

The long term booking for the Heavyweight Title Tournament has Cody vs. Morgan in a Semi-Final. With smark heaven on the other side of the bracket. I'm not sure I'm going to pull the trigger on it. But he's such a good heel and such a shit face.

Looking at the roster of AEW and a few other companies you could get talent from I think this might look good.

Matt Morgan (special attraction monster)

Hangman Page(the next big thing)

Hager, Gotch, or Tom Lawlor (any combo of the three for the no nonsense tag team. Double points for Hager and Lawlor with legit backgrounds)

Brit Baker or Aja Kong (female wrestler that can control the whole division)

Alternatives would be Daniels as a grizzled vet having him turn on SoCal Uncensored would be a great way to turn him heel and get massive, basically saying that he has been caring around Sky and Kaz for so long and he wants to prove he still has it and will show all these young guys what true wrestling is all about. (this is even a bigger heat gainer as Daniels was one of the first guys to really make the Indy style that Cornette hates so much a thing.)

Hey everyone, a bit tired here, so I don't know where or if this line of thought makes much sense. But I just came across the term 'Dead Man's Switch'. It got me wondering if there is a move in wrestling that acts kind of like a dead man's switch? I thought it would be a cool gimmick to play around with. Someone who becomes lethal at the end of their rope.

<p>I'm not sure if this is the right spot. I have 2 created promotions where I go head to head, both have minor leagues and I've been signing young guys trying to build them up before bringing them up. Each has there own nXt basically.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway Zak Attack, I need a new name for him.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Long time without posting, still reading everything though <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I want to know your opinions about a booking "problem".</p><p> </p><p>

Year 2023 Cornellverse:</p><p> </p><p>

Rudy Velasquez (37) is my Universal Champion and in the last ppv, he was going to be really unhappy if Flying Hawaian (30) was booked to strip his belt, despite making Rudy looking strong and all the possible protections around that... Rudy has around 10 popularity points more than Hawaian but just turning 37 and defending his tittle 8 times, I feel is time for a change, with Hawaian being my 2nd most Over Wrestler at the moment and with 17 points more of Star Quality...</p><p> </p><p>

I know I could just say suck it up and get angry... Your time is gone... But I would like him to still be happy and move to the Tag Division for a while...</p><p> </p><p>

How would you get those extra points in Pop for Hawaian so Rudy is more eager to let this happen? Promos? Winning against other MEs / Upper Carders??</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks!</p>

Find guys not employed who are popular, give them one appearance contracts and have them job to HFH to get his popularity more in the range and then pull the trigger.</p>

<p>I was hoping for some advice in how to handle someone's gimmick & disposition in a story I'm doing in an Impact 2018 game (currently October 2019).</p><p> </p><p>

I signed Leva Bates; she's going to debut as a nurse taking care of Eddie Edwards at a hospital and continue to follow him around after he leaves. She'd slowly start to become more obsessed with him and push his boundaries until he breaks things off, and then she completely snaps and starts messing with him. It would be revealed she's been stalking him for years and was never even a nurse; she just posed as one to get close to Eddie.</p><p> </p><p>

My question is: how do I handle her gimmick and disposition? Should I debut her as a face and turn her down the line, even though her actions are always kind of heelish? If so, how should I handle the gimmick? I was going to give her "Obsessive Fan", but that wouldn't work for a face.</p>

Are they wrestling each other in a blowoff match? Is she going to off herself and this is just a 6mo storyline to keep Eddie out of the title picture? Are you going to have Leva be a Laurel Van Ness rerun with no payoff? If it's A) then you probably want to start her babyface, slow play the turn until the game lets you do one with no penalty, then change her disposition/gimmick and do the big reveal. If it's B) then I'd start her heel and as an obsessed fan and work the storyline out. If it's C) Then you want to start her face, and slow play it because the reveal is the big payoff really, so you're in no rush to get here.</p>

I'm starting a new save as WWE starting in February 2016, and I will be writing a Dynasty about it but to spice things up I thought why not ask for some Goals that I need to keep</p><p>

Any Ideas are welcome</p>

No more than one main eventer at the start of the game can take part in the match, and it can't be a gimmick match (triple threat/four way would be acceptable, but not a Survivor Series tag match).</p><p> 4. The New Day to hold the IC, US and Cruiser belts at the same time post brand split, one per member. No wildcards allowed and they can't split up - it's up to you to work out how this can happen.</p><p> 5. Baron Corbin, Ryback or Erick Rowan - one of the three must hold the Raw/Smackdown World title for at least 28 days by the 2017 Royal Rumble.</p>

<p>Think about doing a game where Bruno Sammartino decides to start up his own promotion in the Northeast in 1990 or 1991. It'd be the National Wrestling Federation as a take that on the WWF / tip of the hat to the OTL NWF. I'm think it'd be an old school hoss promotion slowly transitioning to Italian King's Road, just a bunch of muscle guys, second generation faces, Italian and Puerto Rican talents.</p><p> </p><p>

Wouldn't mind some suggestions for the starting roster, as all I've got right now is David Sammartino, Paul Roma and an AJPW working relationship (Bruno was very close to Giant Baba).</p>
