So yeah, obviously chemistry is not bound to the creation of the tag team, unlike tag team experience.</p>

<p>Storylines</p><p> </p><p>

Sorry Guys as the post is a bit long winded regarding the questions.</p><p> </p><p>

1. How many Storylines should I have running at once? does this change depending on company size and requirements?</p><p> </p><p>

2. Outside of main eventers who should I use in storylines? I have talented rookies I want to push in a POP> PERF Fed but no matter what I do the more over workers refuse to Put them over!</p><p> </p><p>

3. I'm often at a loose end regarding which youngsters to push, Do I just push the ones I like or The ones in creative meeting NBT? are there any other indicators a worker is ready for a storyline?</p><p> </p><p>

4. in 2005 it would indicate what a worker was best used for, such as a stepping stone or a Franchise Player, is there any way to identify who this is now? I'm a fan of starting my own Feds however My Pushes change and vary wildly everytime I autopush (should I stop doing this after every show?)</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks and apologies for the length and if any of these are bonehead questions!</p>

The top of the storylines screen will tell you the minimums, it depends on size and company type. There's no maximum so however many you can handle.</p><p> </p><p> 2. You can put anyone in the storylines as long as your top storylines are good. You need certain vets to put over young talent though and they need to work their way up the card a little. A 90 pop guy isn't going to lose to 40 pop guy without a problem.</p><p> </p><p> 3. Push who you like. The NBT usually means they will grow a lot but if you've got a guy you like and have a good story for him you can probably get him over.</p><p> </p><p> 4. Autopushing with smaller companies is always all over the place because they're usually at similar pop so a single match could turn a midcarder into a main eventer. I would still autopush though. I generally learn about my roster through working with them.</p>

<p>Adding a little extra oomph to the previous answers</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hazhimself" data-cite="Hazhimself" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Sorry Guys as the post is a bit long winded regarding the questions.<p> </p><p> 1. What the previous guy said. Depending on your product, you'll see at the top of the Storylines window the minimum number and heat required. There's no maximum, but remember storylines need to be advanced (I think) every second or third show at least, so too many might hinder your booking or you may end up not progressing some and have them losing heat.</p><p> </p><p> 2. As mentioned, youngsters need some time to climb up the card before they can beat top talent without issues. I generally run one storyline per title (the feud between champion and contenders) plus any others that make sense to me.</p><p> </p><p> 3. Another good indicator is the news on the starting page. If you catch a news update about a wrestler praised for his/her potential, chances are their legacy roll (how much they can grow a.k.a. where skill growth is capped) is pretty high.</p><p> </p><p> 4. Autopush is indeed a mess in smaller companies. I've run my Road to Glory company from Local to Regional size so far and I'd still say stick with it though, eventually things settle down.</p>

This is a newbie question from a long-time TEW player:

What exactly is the Young Lion thing? Does it mean that the worker can become extremely good, if treated right? Fx pushed and so on?

It basically just means that, in Japan, they should be losing most of their matches and, effectively, paying their dues.

I think.

If a young lion gets a fall on a veteran, the audience is going to be unhappy, as they do not believe the youngster deserved the victory. This doesn't mean that young lions can't get victories, they can still be in the winning team in multi-person matches and can still get falls over other young lions.</p>

Does it mean that the worker can become extremely good, if treated right? Fx pushed and so on?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In the more sports and traditionally styled companies in Japan, the Young Lion system simulates the way that young wrestlers are learning on the job. It's hard to explain easily, but in simple terms it is accepted by fans over there that workers at their peak level of performance are never going to lose to youngsters as they have the experience, the talent and the conditioning that they just can't. As such, a Young Lion has to build up all of this in the eyes of the fans, earning their respect (their Respect score) with strong performances (their in-ring performance score and match ratings) over a period of time until they reach a minimum level (35.1, or a D- score, though turning 32 also eliminates this). At this point they are accepted as having paid their dues to the fans and other wrestlers, meaning that they are accepted as having progressed through their early training and have established themselves as credible wrestlers who could conceivably beat other credible opponents. A Young Lion beating an established wrestler shouldn't generally happen, as when they are still at that level they are considered to be more or less still in basic training... somewhere above a random guy on the street, but not by a lot.</p><p> </p><p> Young Lions are also generally limited to wearing black boots and black trunks, which is generally accepted everywhere as the uniform of Young Lions... as they earn more respect they will pick up other bits of ring gear from whoever is mentoring them through their Young Lion status, such as elbow pads, knee pads, flashes of colour and other moves. A Young Lion will generally only ue very basic moves regardless of whether they are capable of others) such as forearm strikes, chops and basic suplexes... they can master those as they move up, and eventually pick up other moves or even innovate some of their own once they have move out of Young Lion status, which is part of their evolution as a wrestler. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> Young Lions will also generally take the falls in multiman matches, can only beat other Young Lions (sometimes) and generally take the brunt of the offence from veterans in matches. A sign that a worker is improving is when they are given more offence, particularly against established people. Young Lions will also literally do things like cook for wrestlers and help to lace up their boots, which is part of showing respect for the wrestlers and in building up their own. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></p><p> </p><p> And that wasn't so short or simple... my bad. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></p>

So if I'm a US company, I can ignore the Young Lion mark, or does it also apply in US perf > pop feds?</p>

<p>What exactly is the penalty for having young lions beat the other stars? Does it tank my match rating or will they just be Hogan'd*?Also, if I don't select a winner to a match does it take them into account?</p><p> </p><p>

Also, since we're talking about Japan, how do you book new stables being created? Most companies say I should have 100% matches, which I know is not enforced, but how should I do it? Promo, run in?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I've just recently jumped to Cult in my save running one TV show a week and one PPV every two months. At what point does it hurt my growth keeping this model as opposed to 2 TV shows a week (which I'm dreading) and/or 1 PPV a month? I used the editor to give myself a good tv contract so I get good coverage throughout the US (Big is what I think it's called) and my PPV's also have good coverage in the US.

Thanks for the long explanation :)

By default in most mods, the Young Lion system is disabled in the US. To see if it's disabled in the database you're playing in, go into the editor and then Game World. On the left there will be a button that says "Area Set Up". Click that and the final drop box(Young Lion) for each region either says "Active" or "Inactive"

Besides geography, it's also a product thing. Check the Analysis for your product, usually at the end it'll mention whether the Young Lion rule applies to your product. Garbage/Hardcore Japanese promotions are unaffected, for example. Not sure if Puroresu-heavy promotions outside Japan apply the YL system though.

how do you guys use stables in storylines? what do you consider outside of chemistry when putting a tag team together?

Mainly if the wresters' gimmicks and status make sense for them teaming up. Also, I like to mix established stars with upcoming talent in order to help elevate the latter by association.

Examples:

- I've run a GSW (CVerse) dynasty in the past, in case you don't know it's focused on black and latino workers with a heavy hardcore content. There, I hired the redneck team of The Good Ol' Boys, which became a stable after introducing manager Claire South and a young amish wrestler in Jebediah. Established tag team helped the youngster rise up the ranks fast. Also, I had a stable named "IPW Invaders" for employees that joined from the rival IPW Promotion (E-Soteric, BB Colossus, Lil' Henry, Deadly Deadshot, Babau*Moroi etc)

- Right now I'm playing a Road to Glory challenge using the CVerse 97 mod. Miss Information/Viper McKenna immediately formed a strong friendship with a certain wrestler as soon as she joined. Few shows later, she turned out to have great chemistry managing him as well as tagging with him, so I put them in a tag team. Later on, her mentor British Samurai joined the company, so I put them in a heel stable I call "The Terrific Three". Ring veteran Br. Samurai is the brains, charismatic youngster Miss Information is the mouthpiece and popular old timer is a hulking Norwegian who acts as the stable's muscle. Everybody contributes something and everybody gets something, plus it makes sense within the storyline.

Hope that helps, sorry for the wall of text

Thanks for the info. I'm not against running a PPV every month I just wanted to be realistic as a regional company and thought one every second month made more sense. I'm 6 months into my save and will probably change after my first year is done. I really do not want to run more than one TV show a week as i think that would burn me out from playing.

No matter how high im putting my match danger i keep getting the note that there arent enough dangerous spots in every single match, whats the deal here?

EDIT: Sort of fixed it by turning modern down, but why would i not be able to have enough risky spots when it was on medium? even with 100% it said it wasnt enough
