Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Recommended Posts

I just finished year 9 in Australia with my 0/0/0/0 company, and (admittedly I've been taking it slow for realism's sake/really bad industry turns) I should be gearing up towards a run at cult with no issues. RAW is has been sitting at National for a while, they just slightly dipped under but I can't blame them because the industry has been E or below for almost 2 years before just now pulling up. From an AI perspective, I don't see RAW making the moves to go beyond National (due to them being owned by their network) but a user could probably get to that high cult/low national and begin to expand internationally from there. Beyond National I could see being very tough, but it's definitely possible if the right conditions are there.

<p>Obviously a 100 rated match is deliberately difficult to get. However, is it necessary to have <em>no</em> negative scores on the dirt sheet in order to get it?</p><p> </p><p>

I just ran a main event that got a 98 and the dirt sheet had something like 20 positive notes, and a single negative about low storyline heat.</p><p> </p><p>

Everyone involved in the storyline is a main eventer. I turn out A/A* segments and A-rated matches regularly to advance it, the heat is always A/A*... but does it need to be at 100 to get a 100 match?</p>

It's a bit random on how likely you are to get it.... even with everything seemingly lining up to make things perfect you can still get a crowd that isn't quite into what the workers are doing, no matter how good they are... sometimes the minors are so minor that they can be overlooked, sometimes they are just enough to take away from the perfect 100... </p><p> </p><p> But as long as you are doing all the right things, you will get one eventually... my BHOTWG save has gone crazy with 100 rated matfches... between having great in ring workers (top row and perforance), star qulaity, charisma, an amazing announce team with experience, amazing momentum, great refs, perfect road agents and insanely popular guys I'm up to almost 40 of them in two and a half years... most of them are in the last year too, which was when I got Sosa Mori from PGHW to round out the announce team.</p><p> </p><p> When you have everything going your way it gets easier to get those elite level grades. How do you stop your alliance partners from taking titles off of more over/popular and capable workers? As a human booker, I couldn't have someone with 95 popularity take a loss to someone with 58 popularity, no matter what notes I added to the match (loan worker creative control would block it) so I'm baffled as how the AI can do it. Part of the problem is that I'm much larger than my alliance partners so I can see how it might be difficult to get the alliance titles away from my workers but still!</p><p> </p><p> Also, do announcers gain experience from angles? I've had several angles get dinged because of the announcers so I've started removing the announce team from the angle prior to booking it. I'm wondering if by doing so, I'm missing out on possible gains in announce team experience.</p>

<p>Too low, I think. Announcing skills need to be within 10 (8? 6?) of the match rating (if that's higher) to avoid a penalty.</p><p> </p><p>

I have Jim Ross (A* Announcing) and Paul E. Dangerously (A Colour) and I've still occasionally noticed the penalty coming up.</p><p> </p><p>

The bigger the disparity, the greater the penalty you'll suffer. With Announcing <em>and</em> Colour being low, those penalties will stack.</p>

Without the game in front of me, it's probably to do with the "Must Cover Home" section. That means that they have to cover the region in which your company is based (like Tri-State, USA for example) otherwise they won't negotiate with you. I'm not sure what you mean by Product Quality though... do you mean the rating your show has to get once you already have a deal with them? Or do you mean the Production Values required to get on a network? Either way, those should be fairly clear... just put on shows above the target given for the first one, and keep your production values at or above the level the broadcaster requires. :)

Those individual worker chemistry notes are the things you get those radio interview stories about. Things like a worker enjoying working against bigger opponents? That's what those notes are. Each worker only has one of those things apply, whether it be a bonus or a malus and it's randomly generated at the start of game every time. If you're lucky you can find a little guy who loves fighting people bigger than him... if you're unlucky you get a Giant who hates fighting anyone smaller than him. Finding out little bits of info like this can help you squeeze a couple of extra points from some workers so it's handy, but pretty minor.

i meant product quality in the merchandise section, and what is the best production system? also in cverse if you want coverage everywhere you have to go with reverie, which is subscription, so for ppv's should i use that or get more money by using ppv deals just only in america, canada?

<p>So two questions for everyone here</p><p> </p><p>

1) I bought out TCW as SWF and thought that I raided the entire company, but their dojo is out there independent of anyone. Now it is entirely possible that I missed a checkbox or something and didn't buy it when I had the chance. Is there a way to modify the DB of a running game to have SWF own that dojo?</p><p> </p><p>

2) I have a pair of tag teams with excellent chemistry as partners. The individuals within the teams have chemistry against each as opponents. That is Team 1 Person A & B have chemistry as a team and have positive chemistries against Team B Person A & B. I haven't seen it in the dirt sheet but are both bonuses applied in a tag match with those two teams?</p>
