Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Is it normal that when you change a gimmick and retain the type of gimmick, the tweaks don't reset? Makes sense, but it's quite a surprise to find out. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Mine is probably about 30%. i have had a few backfire

What can I say, so far I've only had successes or "no effect" but never a backfire. Not like I'm playing it safe either, I've reconciled workers that had simmering tension with each other, even when that was caused by a botched spot and injury. Have me pull off ribs though (done so out of desperation when morale was low) and it's guaranteed to piss off the worker getting ribbed while never making anyone laugh.

What else goes into whether domination agent notes work besides charisma? Doesn't it only work for certain gimmicks?

I believe Brute gimmicks and high menace will cause a well executed squash.

In no certain order

- Dominating worker's Charisma and Menace. Star Quality and Power might factor a bit into this

- Dominated worker's Selling. Obviously

- A good difference between the workers' sizes and pushes. Can't have an Opener dominate a Main Eventer and expect it to work, neither could a Small wrestler dominate a Super Heavyweight

- Gimmicks. Helps when the dominating worker is working a Brute or Legitimate gimmick, some others like Cool and Cocky could do it to. Don't expect anyone with a Comedy gimmick to convincingly dominate a match

- Last but not least, match duration, although that's mentioned in the Road Agent notes too

So, I'm running a Small promotion, my production values are all equal to/better than my rivals, I'm normally on the winning side of Regional Wars (either #2, 3 or 4 out of 7) and all my shows are much greater than my popularity (just ran a show with a 77 rating and my fed's pop is 14 in my home region Tri State). However, I do not seem to be gaining much popularity (if any) in Tri State when I run my shows, which are broadcast in a subscription broadcaster with Very Small coverage. Is the pop gain that small that it doesn't even go up one point after 4 or 5 successful shows or am I missing something?

<p>Is there any way to make the game produce realistic TV Ratings in line with real life? </p><p> </p><p>

Ie: 3's and 4's for Global, 2.0 range for National, etc.</p><p> </p><p>

I understand the whole different way the game calculates viewers or whatever, and I don't really care for it. Any way to manipulate the game in the editor to produce a number closer to reality without "breaking" it so it speak.</p>

So for example if you have 6 workers in an angle. You cant have 4 based on sex appear and 2 based on overness because you will get that penalty. I have found if I change that to 3 or even 2 of the 6 I dont get the penalty. </p><p> </p><p> It previous games Sex Appeal was basically a cheat attribute as you could use it to gain ridiculous amounts of popularity very quickly</p>

That, and storyline heat. </p><p> </p><p>

I've had Hogan and Flair score a 79 grade in my Nitro main-event. Both had an in-ring performance of 99, are insanely popular, but they weren't in a storyline together.</p>

Yes, but that same logic doesn't seem to fit with a New Japan promotion's product. a B for that match is more fitting if it were put on by WWE on the undercard for example
