Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Basically it won't affect business immediately, but ultimately his advantages will dwindle further and further until you hit the point where he's no longer giving the company an advantage by being the figurehead of your company.

It's really just a case of finding the right moment to remove him as figurehead (and weather his inevitable shitfit when you take away his status) and also weather the period where you won't get any of the figurehead bonuses as you establish a new worker as 'the guy'.

Then again, as the figurehead screen says, there's no penalty to not having a figurehead, so you can always just have your current figurehead dwindle down to giving you no bonuses, and then remove him and not replace him at all, if you can't find a new guy in the meantime.

Honestly, since you're already close to the vaunted A's, I suggest you let him stick around for a while and try to find a potential figurehead who hits the A's and will be your guaranteed Ace until basically that guy retires.

So yeah, let him stick around until he no longer gives you bonuses. If at that point you don't have someone ready to take over (which will take multiple years, mind), then just remove him as figurehead and go further without one until you do.

But you can also just take the risk, remove him immediately, stick figurehead to your best guy, and push him to the everloving moon and hope his ceiling is endless.

Does anything happen when you remove a figurehead? Is there a temporary penalty to the company (besides no longer gaining whatever bonus it was providing) or to the worker?

So I signed two people on written deals, Taiji Ishimori and Shaul Guerrero.

Guerrero had a PPA deal with ROH, while Ishimimori had a touring deal with AJPW.

The written deals are signed and sealed, but both are still unavailable for booking do to working elsewhere tonight... How's that? When I click the contract, it doesn't say "does not begin for another x number of days", but it says that contract had started immidiately...

What's going on?

Okay, so in the editor, Guerrero's contract with ROH expires in 6 days, but Ishimori is still touring with AJPW, despite having a written deal with me.

It didn't, no.

It always does, but not in this case.

But why is Ishimori still touring? Does touring deals have the same 7 day window?

Yes it’s still 7. And it always tells you that if it’s the case so you may have clicked through without realizing it.

I'm playing as WWE, and haven't got around to playing the game since kinda busy with life but been thinking of expanding shows and brands..

I was thinking biut bringING back "WCW" but as a minor brand but instead of setting the "WCW World Heavyweight Title" as Midcarder.. Can I set it as a main event (minor show) title and have it not contribute to the "Hall of Immortals" ???

Make it a main event title, then switch it to floating. I'm fairly certain floating titles don't count for Hall of Immortals regardless of their prestige.

Is it normal for a recently deceased wrestler to win Wrestler of the Year? I'm playing a 90's Real Life mod and Riki Choshu died in the Fall of 95 and won Wrestler of the year despite not even being close to the best performer that year.

Yeah, wrestlers that die get a small boost to their rankings for the Wrestler of the Year award. So if they are pretty good to start with they're going to have a greater chance to win the award than usual.

Global Localization

Hi Greydog team, I'm BaxterV. I've been a fan of TEW since 2017. I'm from the Netherlands, and would like to offer my services to translate TEW into Dutch, as far as I'm aware there is no such translation yet, and it would hopefully improve wrestling's popularity here, aswell as for your game of course.

If I can be of service, please let me know.

Greetings, BaxterV.

Weak psychology and what to do about it

So you know putting a worker with weak psychology in shorter matches is supposed to help them not look so bad. But, how exactly?

I put them in 8 minute matches and use a script but they still get the penalty. Is the penalty just not as big as if I'd used them in a 10+ minute match? Thanks, to all replies.

Is there any way to force someone to work for you lol, I'm in May of 1996 and trying to start up the nWo angle Hall and Nash have left the WWF and are unemployed but both refuse to sign for me no matter how outrageous my offer is saying it's a bad career move (I don't get this either WCW is the #1 company in the US and the World)

Make them loyal to WCW and/or you in the editor.

Jumping back into the game after a few years away.

Is there advantage to using the in-game storyline feature? I had barely ever used it in the past because I was just running small monthly events, but now I am playing as ROH and have TV so wondering if using it would aid me?

It provides a bonus to segment quality as long as you can consistently pull off decent to good ratings (at the cost of obviously penalizing you if your storyline is doing badly). It's also required if you have certain product settings, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.
