Just a quick question

I know you have received a lot of negativity online for favouring the stars in Japan etc over America in terms of popularity, will this be fixed in the next mod update?

Little confused but I'll try and explain the world again (if it sounds like I'm being a dick, it's not to you personally but I struggle with diplomacy when explaining things).

Who would sell more tickets? Okada in Japan or John Cena in Japan? All I can say to those who are complaining is that they should maybe step out of the WWE bubble for a minute and educate themselves on the WORLD of pro wrestling. NJPW is more popular in Japan than WWE so a lot of their wrestlers are going to be more over in that area, just like John Cena is more over in America than all Japanese workers. I'm not making a WWE2K mod at the end of the day. The mod has more fans than it does haters which tells me I'm doing something right.

If I reverse their locations... Okada is F+ in America, John Cena is B in Japan sooooo... (I'm using them as the examples as they are pretty much the #1 stars of both areas) How is that favouring Japanese workers?

Examples of who should be more over in Japan than Okada would be good to hear from people. I could maybe see AJ Styles, Finn Balor & Shinsuke Nakamura as the closest to Okada in terms of WWE wrestlers who are over in Japan but none who should be more over.

With regard to those who think I "favour" Japanese wrestling, my favourite promotions to watch are old school ECW, CHIKARA (who last I looked were in the Tri-State) and WWE circa 1995-1999. Can someone explain how that makes me Japan bias?

I personally don't think it needs "fixed" but hopefully that answers your question.

Still wondering. :p

Zero-1 is called that for no other reason than I liked the name and it had logo's for Japan, America & Mexico which was what I was looking for in terms of a huge promotion based over 3 areas. Sorry it's not anything more spectacular than that I'm afraid.

Yeah man that answers my question. I think some folk were getting annoyed with "oh tye dillenger is so over but he only gets 35s. When in reality he may be over in real life but he was picked up from a developmental deal. I do think some ROH guys need a bit more pop cause they are everywhere now, but after reading that I do understand you logic. It's like putting jack jester over in Britain but not in Japan. Just on that thought progress is holding a show in new York so who ever wrestles on that show may need to be avalible in America from now on and gain pop in the tri state area, Jimmy Havoc just won the czw tournament of death so he should get pop where ever they are based (think they are tri state but can't remember)

Have you taken nxt off sky sports yet? I know that sprung up in a previous mod.

Can't think of much else tbh, you know I always love your mods, as they bring that "book and get over" mentallity

Fair enough! I too love their name.

While there is no doubt a lot of talented guys, the in-game Power 500 doesn't just take pure talent as it's way of ranking people. It also takes into account popularity, while not taking into account things like how active a worker really is, wear and tear or momentum so the original Power 500 that the game generates is never quite going to line up with expectations. That said, here are the top 10s from the last sim I ran on the data as it stood a few days ago.

2016 (1-10): Hiroshi Tanahashi, AJ Styles, John Cena, Kazuchika Okada, Seth Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Triple H, Ultimo Guerrero.

2017 (1-10, simmed from June): Kazuchika Okada, Randy Orton, Kenny Omega, Roman Reigns, Tetsuya Naito, Kevin Owens, Kota Ibushi, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose.

Wyatt got a monster push in that sim, with AJ Styles seemingly fighting directionless midcarders a lot for no obvious reason probably costing him a top 10 spot. Randy Orton is Smackdown champ too and has had some great matches. But I think those are some pretty decent rankings for the game. :)

Hey, thanks for all of your work on this mod, it's my absolute go to. I have a question that I think I know the answer to but thought I'd check I'm not missing something.

I like to go through all the worker stats and tweak them to my liking but then when there's a new update I don't want to download and overwrite the work I did. That said, I would like the updated changes. Other than doing them myself, is there a way of updating but keeping my custom worker stats? I did think maybe I could import them into a new mod but I presume I'd lose all the contracts?

Any help appreciated!

Her camera skills are already at 71/66/72, she's getting plenty of love there... just don't look at her other skills if you want to push her. :p

For serious though... a lot of work has gone into making the stats more up to date and as close to reality as possible. While there is always more work that can be done due to the nature of keeping a mod up to date, I think the latest version of Flesich's work is going to blow everyone away. I can't wait to start playing it properly, I love me some Fog Of War and growing a small company up though the ranks. :D

People tend to be hush hush about signing until all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed so as not to sour things. With the CWC several of them had signed deals going into the event but those deals were not announced until after to try to kayfabe the results somewhat. Given the final of the MY is a few months off there's no hurry on anyone's part so I expect anyone announced to just be PPA until we know different.

I'm sure this goes without saying, but just in case, SPOILER

SPOILER

SPOILER

SPOILER

Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett (now Kanellis) debuted at MITB as part of SmackDown Live. Weird Power of Love gimmick, not sure what that would be classed as on TEW
