<p>PRE SHOW</p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Reckless Youth defeated Joe Hennig in 7:41 by submission with a Stretch Plum. <strong>55</strong></p><p>

The two didn't click and it made for an awkward bout.</p><p>

Joe Hennig has lost his last five matches.</p><p> </p><p>

In a match that had some good action but non-existent crowd heat, Kid Kash defeated Alex Wright in 10:07 by pinfall with a Dead Level. <strong>52</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 1</strong></p><p><strong>

Christopher Daniels (with James Mitchell) & Eddie Edwards v Jeff Jarrett & Davey Richards</strong></p><p>

An intriguing opening contest pits two tag team partners against each other and The Wolves were reluctant to lock up with each other to start the match as Daniels and Jarrett contrived to make sure they started the match. They did, and they got physical before Edwards made the tag to Daniels.</p><p>

The normally reliable Edwards struggled in this match and this cost his team a place in the Lethal Battle Royal as it was the former Double J who triumphed for his team in 13:10 when Jeff Jarrett defeated Eddie Edwards by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock. <strong>62</strong></p><p>

Eddie Edwards was really off his game.</p><p>

Davey Richards is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart makes his way out to the stage. He walks up to a lectern and he has his bag of balls. He says he now has sixteen balls in his bag, and he pulls out four – two at a time – to give us our next match… <strong>67</strong></p><p>

Bret Hart was very poor improvising dialogue.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 2</strong></p><p><strong>

Eddie Colon & Roderick Strong (with James Mitchell) v AJ Styles & Ricky Steamboat Jr</strong></p><p>

The recently dethroned TV champion teamed up with one of the Colon brothers to take on the exciting pairing of a phenomenal one and the son of a Dragon.</p><p>

Unfortunately for AJ and Steamboat, their timing was all over the place and it's clear they won't ever enter the tag team ranks together. Even so, they still had too much for their opponents as they qualified for the battle royal later tonight in 9:43 when AJ Styles defeated Eddie Colon by pinfall with a Styles Clash. <strong>59</strong></p><p>

Roderick Strong is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart reappears to draw the teams for the next qualifying match… <strong>68</strong></p><p>

Bret Hart struggled going off script.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 3</strong></p><p><strong>

Chris Hero & John Cena v Kevin Steen & Eiji Ezaki</strong></p><p>

A match loaded with talent and Chris Hero has been on a big roll of late, scoring some big victories on PSW Weekly in tag team matches. And beating Rocky Romero.</p><p>

Steen and Ezaki showed some excellent teamwork and caused Hero and Cena no end of problems. However, they weren't able to put their opponents away and Hero continued his fine form when he took the spoilsin 13:52 when Chris Hero defeated Eiji Ezaki by pinfall with a Heros Welcome. <strong>74</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart comes out again and this time makes a better job of pulling balls out of his bag. The next match is… <strong>77</strong></p><p>

Bret Hart performed well going off script.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 4</strong></p><p><strong>

Brian Kendrick & T. J. Perkins (National Tag Team champion) v CM Punk & Keiji Sakoda</strong></p><p>

This draw threw up an interesting match as two of the quickest in PSW took on two of the hardest hitters. Punk can hurt you with kicks and has a strong technical game too while Sakoda is simply down right tough.</p><p>

Brains and brawn won the day over raw pace in 10:34 when CM Punk defeated T.J. Perkins by submission with an Arm Triangle Choke in a match that was decent but not spectacular. <strong>64</strong></p><p>

Brian Kendrick is improving in technical skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart comes out for one last time. Once he pulls the first pairing out, he's left with two balls in his bag. The final match is… <strong>78</strong></p><p>

Bret Hart did a masterful job improvising with the crowd.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LETHAL TAG TEAM QUALIFIER 5</strong></p><p><strong>

Iven Michaud (TV champion) & Drew McIntyre (Youth champion) v Randy Orton & Matt Sydal (National Tag Team champion)</strong></p><p>

Three current champions in the same match, though the odds are stacked against the current TV and Youth champions as they are facing two former National champions.</p><p>

Sure enough, the match went with pedigree and experience and Orton and Sydal were simply too good in a good match. It was the snake like Orton who won for his pairinge in 10:09, defeating Iven Michaud by pinfall with a Flying crossbody. <strong>62</strong></p><p>

Iven Michaud is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Melissa (champion) v Amazing Kong</strong></p><p>

Kong battered Melissa a couple of weeks ago on Weekly and the champion is out for revenge.</p><p>

Despite taking the fight to the massive Kong, Melissa was unable to make much in road on the female beast and her title looked under serious threat. However, when Kong missed a second rope splash, Melissa wasted no time at all and locked in a reverse choke that brought about the end to the match in 10:03 by submission. Melissa makes defence number 5 of her PSW Women's Championship title. <strong>62</strong></p><p>

Melissa has won her last eight matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring, his National Championship belt draped over his left shoulder. He gets a mic and says tonight will be a tough night as he faces not only Lance Storm and Rob Van Dam. Jericho continues by saying that this tough night will be liked every other one he has faced in the past… he emerges the best. He finishes by saying he is not worried by Chris Hero as not only does he have other things to worry about anyway, he isn't good enough to defeat the best in the world. <strong>83</strong></p><p>

Chris Jericho worked the crowd well.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Carly Colon (1-0-3) v Yoshihiro Tajiri (0-1-3)</strong></p><p>

The only Grappler's League match of the night sees two of the Premier Division strugglers facing off in a bid to try and ease their relegation fears.</p><p>

The match was disappointing despite the best efforts of the two combatants and the least said about it the better. Tajiri chalked up his first victory of the season in 9:16 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. <strong>48</strong></p><p>

Carly Colon is improving in technical skills.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/PUzR5wO.jpg</span> v <span>http://i.imgur.com/bPJZtP5.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>Jimmy Yang v Mike Quackenbush</strong></p><p>

This is a bit of a grudge match. Quackenbush for some reason has taken exception to Yang's arrival and great start in PSW, feeling it is all about Yang and Yang is all about Yang. Yang accepted Quackenbush's challenge for a match and here we are.</p><p>

It was a good match, though certainly not one of Yang's best since he arrived in PSW. It seems as though his heavy workload in no less than eight companies is taking it's toll on his body. Even so, he still got the better over Quackenbush, vanquishing his rival in 13:20 by pinfall with a Michinoku Driver II. <strong>63</strong></p><p>

Mike Quackenbush is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LETHAL BATTLE ROYAL</strong></p><p><strong>

Jeff Jarrett, Davey Richards, AJ Styles, Ricky Steamboat Jr, Chris Hero, John Cena, CM Punk, Keiji Sakoda, Randy Orton, Matt Sydal (National Tag Team champion)</strong></p><p>

The winner of the Lethal Battle Royal will receive a National Championship match at Anniversary Show IX in May.</p><p>

Interestingly, all four champions eligible for Lethal qualified for the Tag Team Qualifiers and only Matt Sydal won through to the Battle Royal.</p><p>

He also got the first elimination as he drop kicked Ricky Steamboat Jr over the top rope. Sydal didn't last any longer though as CM Punk grabbed him when he got up and tossed him out. We're down to eight.</p><p>

CM Punk was also responsible for the next two eliminations as he first got rid of Davey Richards and then the man he partnered to qualify for the battle royal, Keiji Sakoda. Punk is looking strong and focused.</p><p>

AJ Styles was next gone courtesy of John Cena muscling him over the ropes with an Attitude Adjustment to the floor.</p><p>

Hero has been very hot as late though he couldn't win this Battle Royal, courtesy of Randy Orton throwing him out.</p><p>

This left the final four of Jeff Jarrett, John Cena, CM Punk and Randy Orton. Jarrett was the next gone, a second elimination by Randy Orton.</p><p>

Punk then scoring his fourth elimination of the night, by hitting Orton with some stiff knees that sent him sprawling over the ropes.</p><p>

CM Punk and John Cena squared off. The two exchanged blows then ran the ropes and dropped each other with a double clothesline. The two men staggered to their feet. Punk went for a stiff kick, but Cena ducked it, hoisted him up and tried to do to Punk what he did to AJ earlier in the night. Punk hung on for dear life. Cena changed tack and grabbed his feet to lift him over and drop him to the floor. John Cena is going to Anniversary Show IX. <strong>83</strong></p><p>

<strong>PSW NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Chris Jericho (champion) v Lance Storm v Rob Van Dam</strong></p><p>

The two Ultimate Battle for Survival survivors get their shot at Chris Jericho and the National Championship.</p><p>

The main event didn't disappoint, though wasn't as great as some past PSW matches.</p><p>

These three men have been around for many years and many knew what we were going to get here. They all wrestled their usual styles, hit their usual offence, the difference being it being a three way so there was little break in the action and lots of broken up pinfalls and submissions. All three came close to either keep or claiming the tite.</p><p>

Then came the game changing moment and it was a return from a familiar face from PSW past…</p><p> </p><p>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ybduom-Adss" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ybduom-Adss"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> </p><p>

CADE THESZ IS BACK IN PSW! He arrives with new entrance music and appears to be in a much darker mood than when he was previously in PSW. He makes a beeline for Rob Van Dam and hits a Thesz Press following by a serious of stiff shots from the mount position. He then runs out of the ring as Potter and Dusty Rhodes are going nuts at the announce desk, commenting that Rob Van Dam was the man that mentored Cade Thesz when he was in PSW before. The referee looks confused as to what to do, if he awards the match to Rob Van Dam, who does he disqualify? In the end, he does nothing and allows the match to continue.</p><p>

Jericho, seeing the damage Thesz caused to RVD wasted no time in tossing Lance Storm out of the ring. He then turned his attention to the fallen RVD and retained in 23:53 when Chris Jericho defeated Rob Van Dam by submission with a Lion Tamer. Chris Jericho makes defence number 6 of his PSW National Championship title. <strong>87 – match of the night</strong></p><p>

Dusty Rhodes was pretty weak at the announce desk.</p><p>

Cade Thesz has debuted with no specific gimmick, rated 71.</p><p>

Chris Jericho has won his last nineteen matches.</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho celebrates in the ring, feeling the effects from the main event. However, his night isn't over yet…</p><p> </p><p>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Enuh655GtiM" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/Enuh655GtiM"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> </p><p>

Out walks Chris Hero carrying his Feast or Fired briefcase. This time he feels the time is right as he heads straight to referee Bruce Gray and hands him his briefcase. Chris Hero is cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase! <strong>43</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Chris Jericho (champion) v Chris Hero</strong></p><p>

Hero takes advantage of the surprise element by hitting a Hero's Welcome right off the bat but is hugely frustrated to only get a two count. Jericho rolls out while Hero argues with Bruce Gray over the count. This allows Jericho to regroup with himself and get some offence in on Hero when he gets back in the ring. This results him in locking in the Lion Tamer but Hero is close to the ropes and after a brief struggle he is able to grab them to break the hold.</p><p>

Both men are clearly tired after their efforts early in the night. Jericho goes for a Lion Sault but makes an uncharacteristic mistake and slips off the ropes. This gives Hero the opening he needs and he hits a second Hero's Welcome. This time Bruce Gray's hand hits the mat three times at 6:47. Chris Hero wins the PSW National Championship! He celebrates as Jericho looks pissed off. <strong>73</strong></p><p>
