PSW SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING

Monday, week 3, September 2011

Broadcast on Spike TV on Tuesday late night

Announcers: Potter and Bret Hart

Wicomico Civic Center, Salisbury, Maryland (6,747 capacity)

Wicomico-Youth-Civic-Center-Salisbury-MD-Main-Photo.jpg

Superstars of Wrestling starts with a familiar scene as Adam Sandler and ‘The Greatest Champion’ Chris Jericho stand in the ring. Things are different between the two as the former enemies seem to now be ‘frenemies’. Sandler says that he and Chris Jericho have come to an agreement, that PSW was better when Sandler was in control and Jericho was champion. Sandler acknowledges that they don’t like each other, but the show was entertaining and the show got ratings and sponsors.

Jericho says he want to be champion again and Sandler wants control again… by any means necessary. So they are going to Spike TV executives and are going to get them to agree to Sandler getting his job back. Everybody wins… Spike TV get more more and viewers, Sandler gets back control

“And you will get your title back” adds Sandler. The two shake hands. 82

’The Follower’ Bray Wyatt (with Raven) v ‘Bad Ass’ Drew McIntyre

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Drew McIntyre defeated Bray Wyatt in 7:40 by pinfall with a Future Shock DDT. 49

Raven did good work at ringside.

Wyatt and Raven are an awkward pairing.

Backstage and Chicago’s Finest launch a pre emptive strike on the World Tag Team champions. The Outlaws Amazing Red and Christopher Daniels are brutalised by their Crowning Glory XI challengers and they are left lying on the floor with their title belts by their sides as a happy CM Punk and Colt Cabana walk off. 49

Alex Wright v Petey Williams

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Alex Wright defeated Petey Williams in 7:45 by submission with a STF. 52

Wright and Williams have great chemistry.

Petey Williams has lost his last 5 matches.

In the basement of the building, John Cena is with his leader Raven. Cena is down cast, saying he let Raven down last night when he lost to AJ Styles. Raven tells Cena he did not, he let himself down and he asks if he needs to find salvation again. Cena nods, saying that winning is his salvation and he needs to start winning again. 47

PSW TV TITLE

‘The Follower’ T. J. Perkins (champion, with Raven) v Nate Nickerson

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, T.J. Perkins defeated Nate Nickerson in 9:27 by pinfall. T.J. Perkins makes defence number 3 of his PSW TV Title. 61

T. J. Perkins has won his last 5 matches.

In scenes similar to earlier, another Crowning Glory XI challenger is launching a pre emptive attack. This time it is Keiji Sakoda who is assaulting the PSW World champion Cade Thesz. Thesz is the third Outlaw champion to be left lying beside his title belt… and where are The Outlaws’ normal strength in numbers? 57

Havana Pitbulls v Londrick

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Havana Pitbulls defeated Londrick in 10:57 when Rocky Romero defeated Brian Kendrick by pinfall. 65

In the ring, Joanie Laurer calls out Amazing Kong. Out comes the Women’s champion with her boyfriend Adam Sandler. Laurer said she wanted to look straight into Kong’s eyes to see if she’s ready for Crowning Glory XI. They stare each other down, neither woman backing down. Both look ready, unlike Adam Sandler who looks tense in the corner of the ring. Sandler eventually calls Kong away and the two walk to the back. 67

PSW SUPERSTARS OF WRESTLING

Monday, week 4, September 2011

Broadcast on Spike TV on Tuesday late night

Announcers: Potter and Bret Hart

Queen’s Park Arena, New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada (3,500 capacity)

queen-s-park-arena.jpg

Superstars of Wrestling starts with a familiar old sight – that of Bret Hart in the middle of the ring to start the show. He says that he is here on the PSW board of Directors to make a special announcement… ever since Adam Sandler lost the role of Director of Operations, there has been nobody to run the weekly show… the Directors are going to change that by appointing a General Manager to be decided by election… the candidates can put themselves forward with a proposer. Votes will be cast by wrestlers to whittle the candidates down to two and it will then be the PSW fans who will vote for the newly appointed General Manager. Hart drops the mic and takes his position at the announce table. 79

Bret Hart has switched to an Obnoxious gimmick, rated 66.

Jay Lethal v Super Dragon

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Jay Lethal defeated Super Dragon in 8:55 by pinfall with a Lethal Injection. 40

In a safe house, Eddie Guerrero is venting his anger at Keiji Sakoda and Chicago’s Finest for attacking his men last week… before berating his Outlaws for getting beaten up by them and demanding to know where was the support for each. He is met with silence, at which point he storms off with a bottle of tequila in hand. 73

http://i.imgur.com/zbTySKg.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/eumyesY.jpg v http://i.imgur.com/2PvfTlO.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/dHYh57J.jpg

Shock & Awe v Youth Heroes

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Shock & Awe defeated Youth Heroes in 8:37 when Stu Sanders defeated Reckless Youth by pinfall. 52

Both teams show excellent chemistry.

Stu Sanders is improving in technical skills.

Adam Sandler and Joanie Laurer are in catering and the atmosphere is suprisingly cordial. They discuss their romantic past and agree they had good times. In the distance, Amazing Kong is looking on and looking unhappy about what she sees. 67

Adam Sandler looked good.

PSW TV TITLE

‘The Follower’ T. J. Perkins (champion, with Raven) v Jay Briscoe

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, T.J. Perkins defeated Jay Briscoe in 10:10 by submission. T.J. Perkins makes defence number 4 of his PSW TV Title. 63

T. J. Perkins has won his last 6 matches.

Behind the curtain, Raven is speaking to John Cena. He tells Cena to win this match. He tells him to find his salvation. Cena looks ready. 45

http://i.imgur.com/aJ4jsJ0.jpg v http://i.imgur.com/ILiAcXw.jpg

Austin Aries v ‘The Follower’ John Cena (with Raven)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, John Cena defeated Austin Aries in 14:02 by pinfall with a Spin-out powerbomb. 61

Cena and Raven have great chemistry.

Aries and Cena don’t seem to click.

Backstage and we see an irate Adam Sandler and Chris Jericho. They say that PSW Directors and Bret Hart are pissing them off by having this stupid election to find a GM. Sandler says when he ran the show it was entertaining and ratings were going up. Jericho says he was champion and even though Sandler was out to get him, he’d rather be champion than not. Sandler says he will enter this stupid election as it seems to be the only way they will get to run the show. 79

Sandler and Jericho improvised well.
