Mildly_Amusing's Mods

Recommended Posts

Hey, I've been posting a monthly update for TEW 2013 based on the old Cpt. Charisma updates over on Reddit, and obviously converted it to TEW 2016 and thought I'd share it here too. To clarify I did edit it as well as convert it, setting things such as WWE owning the Network.

EDIT: A little background info on the mod: Me and my friends missed the old Cpt. Charisma mods because we really enjoyed them, so I suggested updating his last mod (January 2015) to the present day (which at the time was I believe June?), anyway that took a while as you'd imagine and I released the first version in August and have been releasing a TEW 2013 update every month since. I naturally transfered this over to TEW 2016 and started working when the beta came out (I know it was before the end of May, luckily nothing major happened) so I've been working on this for roughly 3 weeks. I know it isn't perfect and that's why I posted it here, hoping you guys could help me improve. Below after the link are a list of some of the things I've done to Cpt. Charisma's original work, what I've updated for the June data and what I know needs done. Thanks for all your help and support.

Here's a link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/l6x0qze00sk773a/TEW16_May2016.zip This has the Pics!, the links below are just the WIP database for next month!

Stuff I've added/done to Cpt. Charisma's original work (Not a full list because that would be a very long list):

- Added a lot of new people. Of particular note, a lot of UK indy talent and pretty much every new Chikara roster member.

- Updated the title holders and lineage for WWE, TNA, ROH, LU, NJPW, ICW, PROGRESS, PWG, CHIKARA and a lot of the others too.

- Edited in retirements and people passing away as best I can.

- Added full lineages to the NWA titles such as Women's and North American.

- Taken out all the duplicates (Crazy Mary Dobson & Mary Dobson for example)

- Added On Demand deals to those companies that have them that I know of

- Tried to readjust the UK scene as best I could

- Added a few new companies such as Revolution Pro Wrestling: UK (NJPW affiliate and host of WWE Cruiserweight Classic qualifiers)

- Other stuff I can't remember.

Areas I'd appreciate help with:

- Joshi and smaller Japanese companies

- Any US indy outside Chikara and PWG (I have friends who follow them closely & being UK based makes it hard to keep up to track with US stuff)

- Anything else :)

Stuff done for June:

- Wrestle-1 title holders and lineages updates

- WWE releases of this month

- Added both WCW and ECW as inactive feds

- Used ECW HOF for the Hardcore Hall of Fame

- Updated NJPW title holders post Dontaku

- Fixed a problem were 17 was a member of Roppongi Vice rather than Rocky Romero

- Done all of Dave Scott's TNA updates

- Started work on body types (Not really sure how to set them)

- Started fixing production values (Which I had completely forgotten)

- Updated a bunch of PROGRESS stuff

- Upped Okada's stats because they were kinda low.

- Upped Anderson & Gallows popularity to WWE midcard level

- Set body types for all Giants & Super Heavyweights (I'm gonna work from the top tier down)

- Updated Christopher Bishop's weight (He was a Big Heavyweight when he's clearly not)

- Set body types for all big heavyweights

- Started the adding match variants for 3 vs 3 vs 3

- Done all Heavyweight body types to "Brutal" Bob Evans - Put out V 0.1

- Done all Heavyweights body types!

- Bull Dempsey is now under Bull James.

- Upped both Nakamura's & Suzuki's stats will look into the rest of the Japanese scene later :)

- I fixed the errors with starting V.01 - Put out V 0.15

- Edited WWE's & TNA's Networks for broadcast quality

- Finished updating the WWE HOF

- Began work on the NWA HOF (all companies that had people inducted are now set to have them as future inductees)

- Set LU to have a TV Only Strategy

- Updated ROH's titles with recent changes

- Removed James R. Kennedy from ICW

- Done All Middleweight body types up to Ares

- Renamed the Ex-Los Matadors and renamed team to "The Shining Stars"

- Done all of JMike's updates

- Done all Middleweight body type up to Jay Bradley

- Fixed the issue where the Local broadcasters would be spammed with deals from companies from inappropriate regions (Now can only get broadcast deals when you popularity in a region)

- Fixed the issue with broadcast contracts where companies would renew them all on the first day of the game because they all expired in 3 months

- Fixed a bunch of missing worker pics (Thanks to Celtinigma)

- Fixed all of The_Coc's suggestions

- Posted Version 0.2 of the July data for feedback (Note: I'll post the updated pic pack at the start of each month to save time)

- Removed Caprice Coleman from ROH

- Set Prime Time Players to inactive

- Added a Comedy based match to all non-battle royal match types

- Missed changing the New Day face so did that

- Done all Middleweight body types up to QT Marshall

- Started work on numbers of show headlined so non-champs with PPV main event may get HOF inductions (Done: NXT, ICW, PROGRESS, WWE to TLC 2013 Working Backwards)

- Added the Young Bucks injuries :(

- Updated the Starting Injuries list

- Deleted James Wallace (He's in prison and won't be returning to wrestling)

- Added Goya Kong and the Alvarado family relationships. (Kong is currently on Maternity Leave)

- Updated the Wonder of Stardom Title Lineage.

- Did a huge list of updates someone posted to me on Reddit. (I'll add a link to the list)

- Added STARDOM World Association, with ABC & Stardom as members (Stardom is a permanent member)

- Set the first SWA World Women's champion.

- Fixed the WWE Hall of Fame induction of the Freebirds (Michael Hayes was in instead of Michael P.S. Hayes)

- Added Dragon Azteca Jr. to Lucha Underground, added Rey Horus as an alter ego (Will probably swap Rey Horus and El Hijo del Rey Misterio as alter ego and main name)

- Released both Cody Rhodes & Adam Rose from WWE

- Updated all the NOAH titles and their lineages

- Added a starting injury to Suwama (Out for 3 months)

- Altered some of the injuries to only take place out of the ring if appropriate and removed those no longer needed (Wellness Policy Violations, etc.)

- Added a staring injury to Joe Doering (Out for 9 Months with a brain tumour)

- Added ICW's TV Deals with both the Fight Network & Nuvolari

- Updated the Fight Network's coverage

- Removed Inoki Genome Federation because I don't really want to add a bunch of MMA fighters to the data.

- Set Cody Rhodes to on hiatus because he apparently is gonna be allowed to wrestle for a while

- Updated the Chikara championships that have changed hands

Here's a link to next month's WIP any feedback would be greatly appreciated: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ebbbuev6cg2v2tr/June_V0.2.zip

Very possitive mod <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Too strong skills in wwe roster and ring-skills by veterans, very underrated japanese stars (Tanahashi (yes, Hiroshi underrated in this mode), Naito).

My friends felt the same way so I started to do a database and share it <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Also I could do a lot more with the UK indys which are having a bit of a boom.</p>

<p>Appreciate the work done of this but there are a hell of a lot of things wrong.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NJPW</strong></p><p>

All the bios need re-doing, e.g. BUSHI's says he works for AJPW when he hasn't since 2012.</p><p> </p><p>

A lot of the stats are ridiculously underrated compared to WWE, overall Sandow has better stats than Okada. </p><p> </p><p>

Remove Chase Owens</p><p>

Remove Tenyru (Why the hell is he here, had two matches for NJPW in the last 10 years)</p><p>

Remove Kota Ibushi (from DDT too)</p><p>

But the fact is this, he didn't have to do it. Negating the errors that are in the data, he still provided us a database that he didn't have to. IDC how bad it is, I'm still going to be thankful and appreciative that he did this. I won't be playing it or anything, but still it was nice of him to do that. You can rag on all the errors all you want, but there's no need to attack him for it and say him doing this is bad for the community. That stuff doesn't need to be here. Not trying to be a Jaysin, and this sounds terribly cliché but it's true, but if you've got nothing nice to say, it'd be best not to say it, at least not here.</p>

And that anyone can convert it themselves without claiming that they have released a new mod? I'm just not understanding what it is that he did aside from push out a converted old mod and try to steal someone else's thunder.</p><p> </p><p> Regardless, the people here aren't stupid so I don't have to argue the facts anymore, I just don't think people should be shushed when they are pointing out what should be pointed out. Being nice does not mean letting people take credit for fooling people.</p>

<p>DrCat you've said your piece let it go. If it's bad work people won't support it and it will fade away like many other mods. Post your feedback good or bad but please stop hammering your point it's only going to lead to drama and it's too early in 16's life cycle for that.</p><p> </p><p>

There are going to be countless mods that appear over the next few years, some incomplete, some clear rip offs of others work, the cream rises to the top and people support the mods they choose.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm all for voicing your onion but to ask this thread be closed is unreasonable, other may enjoy playing with it while others might want to use parts for their own mods. If you want every mod that's incomplete or outdated taken down that will account for a good portion of them... Not sure how many you played using '13 but this isn't a new thing. The only person imo that has a right to have the mod removed is cpt charisma.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

All in all I just want a more positive environment here and the comments you made do not help make that happen. If you don't like it post your feedback and move on.</p>

<p>Just wanted to come on here and shed a little light on the subject:</p><p> </p><p>

Mild has put out a Real World Mod almost every month since August of last year, when me and a couple of others were talking about how All the Mods now were super underrating everyone and we wish we had Cpt.Charisma back. He decided to be the one to do it and he started working on the mod for 3 months before he released the first version, did he miss stuff? Yes, most mods do, but to give him shit for having NJPW slightly outdated (no real major errors) and it coming out a week after release is pointless. He released it so people can have something to play and he's going to be updating it as he goes. </p><p>

Bottom Line:</p><p>

If you don't want to play it, don't. There is no reason to whine and moan about it for multiple posts, let people make their own decision.</p>

And Watanabe became known as 'King of Darkness, EVIL' in October of 2015, 7 months ago!</p><p> </p><p> Both in this thread and on reddit, when asked what he worked on with regards to the new features, he simply said 'Oh WWE owns the Network now.'</p><p> </p><p> As stated by others, give this one a pass, and wait for the mods that are actually being worked on by honest people.</p><p> </p><p> And please, stop with the excuses and stop calling people out for pointing out when someone is doing something that is downright BAD for the community.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Can I ask why offering an alternative is bad?</p>

If it's bad work people won't support it and it will fade away like many other mods. Post your feedback good or bad but please stop hammering your point it's only going to lead to drama and it's too early in 16's life cycle for that.<p> </p><p> There are going to be countless mods that appear over the next few years, some incomplete, some clear rip offs of others work, the cream rises to the top and people support the mods they choose.</p><p> </p><p> I'm all for voicing your onion but to ask this thread be closed is unreasonable, other may enjoy playing with it while others might want to use parts for their own mods. If you want every mod that's incomplete or outdated taken down that will account for a good portion of them... Not sure how many you played using '13 but this isn't a new thing. The only person imo that has a right to have the mod removed is cpt charisma.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> All in all I just want a more positive environment here and the comments you made do not help make that happen. I do apologise but I feel this is probably going to cause a bit of drama.</p>

Keep doing what your doing Mildy, it would be good to see the mod get changed with the notable flaws. But your doing gods work mate. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Just to clarify I don't mind people criticising the data at all. I know a lot of it is out of date especially in the worker profile department (Sitting down to edit 3781 profiles doesn't sound like a fun time) and especially Japan (I just realised I never updated Wrestle-1 since began doing this in August in TEW 2013)</p><p> </p><p>

What I don't like is people personally attacking me, saying I'm bad for the community and I'm dishonest. As you can imagine that's not a very nice feeling. As thatkryten guy said, I've been updating this data since August 2015. That being said as Cpt. Charisma's mods were always expansive, I've inevitably misssed somethings. I haven't just taken the January 2015 data, set it to 2016 and dropped it in the converter. I've spent hours working on this.</p><p> </p><p>

To give you guys a little background on me. I'm not currently in education or work due to health issues. (That's partly why I was able to do this mod so quickly) I actually used to post a written diary here at grey dog a long time ago, so even though my account is new I've been here a while. (I used a new one because I wanted it be the same username I use elsewhere) I know my mods aren't as polished as Genadi's or Fleisch's but I'm making this myself with a little help from a few friends. Part of the reason I posted it was here was to hopefully get some feedback. TBH after a few comments (again those attacking me personally) I don't think I'll post it here again. I don't want a monthly slew of being called dishonest. For those of you pointing out out of date stuff, Thank You. I'll make sure they are rectified.</p>

Based on the comments I thought this was a straight convert from '13 using Cpt's mod but on further reading you've been updating this for quite a while. I suggest editing your main post to explain the data and your work a little more clearly. If people know straight up the base used and the work you've put into it much better feedback will come.</p><p> </p><p> I hope you stick with it, we always need more people willing to mod.
