Obviously relying on the star power of the main eventers in a promotion such as AWF is going to be crucial, however, the real test will come when they have to take a backseat. They are not the youngest crop of individuals and you will do well to keep an eye on their full-time replacements down the road.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I agree, with the majority of Main Eventers in their late thirties, early forties (Exodus and Lawrence Christian are already on time decline list) pushing new talents into the Main Event scene is a priority. I will continue to use the current Main Eventers throughout this first year in prominent positions but will definitely try and bring through the likes of Roxdale, Adorn and Washington as well. XYK and Hollywood Monroe are two guys who have been impressing. XYK has produced a few B+ promos. If he could develop that along with his already great wrestling ability he would be a great addition to the Main Event scene even allowing for his size and contracts are starting to expire who knows who I might be able to steal from other promotions.</p>

Roxdale I certainly agree with and Adorn is a shoe in.</p>

<p>Results from the April PPV "Mind Games"</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/L1byQF6.jpg?1</span></p><p> </p><p>

Quite happy with the PPV it was a bit of a placeholder PPV before "Showcase of the Immortals" next month.</p><p>

After being attacked by Oblivion at last months PPV, Lawrence Christian had requested a match with Oblivion, signing a contract to face him at this PPV. The beatdowns by Oblivion and Money Inc. continued prompting an appearance from the seldom seen Adam Sutherland who said this must end and Lawrence Christian would face Mr. Flawless in a match and if he won he would be added to the Main Event of "Showcase of the Immortals". Richard Sutherland said that's fine he would face him at "Mind Games" but as he had already signed a contract to face Oblivion he would have to wrestle in two matches at the PPV. This seemed to fit in with the mind games theme of the PPV. Winning the match against Mr. Flawless after botched interference from Rich E. Platinum has now made the Main Event at "Showcase of the Immortals" a triple threat match.</p><p>

Exodus got involved in things with Platinum & Oblivion saving Lawrence Christian and he became the next opponent for Rich E. Platinum on that basis. Danny Washington won with underhanded tactics so Patriarch will be looking to get another shot at him.</p><p>

Should be an interesting month before "Showcase of the Immortals."</p>

<p>I got the game and next thing i know the mod pops. After i figured out how not to suck at adding mods to the game, I got to looking over the mod and got straight to work. </p><p> </p><p>

I started with SJW, had to though XCW or DOA. The draw of booking an old school WCCW or NWA style promotion. After a few rough starts i got down to booking and ran about 2 months of shows. Got on Q-TV so the show is broadcast in Canada but no where else. The shows went ok and i'm just over Heeled at the moment. </p><p> </p><p>

I did have to make a change, i put the Cartwrights on written deals because i lost the entire clan after two months to other promotions, lost my Announcers and a ton of staff. It's rough at the start.</p><p> </p><p>

Having fun and loving the mod.</p>

I enjoy reading your lengthy posts/updates.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The Exodus/Platinum match grade was hampered as they are not in a storyline together so I was surprised that the match graded as high as it did, there was a penalty for having no relevant storyline attached. The Flawless/Christian match was hampered by Mr. Flawless low morale which is becoming a bit of a problem because I have tried everything to try and improve but nothing seems to work. So still getting an A was quite pleasing.</p><p> In terms of midcard feuds the tag team title feud is the main one. The Millionaire's Club vs Packed With Flavour has continued since the start of the game now with the titles at the heart of the feud and as soon as Hollywood Monroe returns from injury, A-List Pimping will return and try and regain their titles. I have added a couple of tag teams to bolster the division as my future plans mean a couple of tag teams may split up. Fergal & Cormac O'Reilly have been brought in as The Irish Curse and I have signed Brady Danielson and have teamed him with Mike Elwood as The Maple Leaf Mafia. I see them as a sort of American Alpha-esque team. With Danielson as Chad Gable a great technical wrestler and Elwood as Jason Jordan suplexing people all over the ring.</p><p> The cruiserweight feud between Leroy Snyde & XYK I feel has run it's course. Ben Logan was added to the last match as he had been taunted by Leroy Snyde. Unfortunately, XYK is head and shoulders above everyone in the division so it feels hard to create feuds for him. I have signed Abraham Sound who is coming in as a heel and there is always Hollywood Monroe who could be used as opponents for him.</p><p> The Televison title feud three continue to feud over that tile in various situations. Justin Roxdale has found his way into this feud as well. Keylong asked for his title rematch which was granted but Derek Boardman would get the first shot. Keylong faced Roxdale in a match which Roxdale won, Boardman taunted Keylong for losing the match then promptly lost to Roxdale as well. Boardman attacked Roxdale after the match until Adorn made the save. The four faced each other in a tag match and then there was the two singles matches at "Mind Games" and they will face each other in a fatal fourway at "Showcase of the Immortals".</p><p> Bulldozer Brannigan's hard man challenge continues where he has started to make people submit. The match against Kyle Barker at "Mind Games" was a submission match. Years ago, I'm sure Ken Shamrock faced somone in a steel cell match (almost a small MMA cage match) and that is what their match at "Showcase of the Immortals" is going to be. Grayson Royce has continued to be involved in the storyline as well as Samoan Studd who has been renamed Keoni (Samoan for Righteous Warrior) managed by Bobby Sweet. They have faced each other in a tag match and various singles matches.</p><p> Then there are a few smaller mini storylines that mainly feature on Thursday's B show. The Lucian von Flue painting storyline continues although he has yet to have somone really to feud with and Hugo Suave and Carlos Nathans (who has the Suave gimmick) feuding over who is the most suave, trying to flirt with Blossom Woods and things like that. Then we have Cory Dex creating and selling different concoctions. Selling a super strength potion to Floyd Hart who had a match with Sherman Tank. Then when he went to slam Sherman Tank during the match because he had super strength, Sherman fell on top of him and pinned him. In the real world I think Cory Dex would be the sort of character that ends up turning face like the Damien Sandow stuntman character.</p><p> I wasn't planning on writing such a long post but hope you find it interesting.</p>

<p>I've fallen in love with SJW being a southern boy from Texas myself. Only having a world title and a tag title has played well into my plans as I've introduced a women's division that will not kick off until I'm at least six months into the game.</p><p> </p><p>

My greatest feud for the next year or so is a family feud. Edgar Cartwright has turned his back on the Cartwright family. He and Beau Cartwright are locking in an intense feud that has the family trying to get them to stop fighting. It led to them "seemingly" reconciling but Edgar hit Beau with a steel chair during their tag match against Twisted Monstrosity costing Beau the chance to make history in SJW. These two are going at it and I expect Edgar to make great strides in his performance as I'm using Mr. Money Christopher Spratt as his mouthpiece. This particular feud will culminate at Dark Days of Moonshine which will be our "Wrestlemania". As of now I have plans for Beau to drop the belt clean to Edgar in a street fight at Exile. The image in my mind is a kayfabe injury due to vicious chair shots over and over like Rock vs Mankind. This will be when Joshua Cartwright steps up to the plate to teach Edgar a lesson. This will end at Summer Standoff with Edgar forcing Joshua to submit using the newly established Texas Cloverleaf finisher that I will have him using. After the match he'll get a chair and attempt to injure Joshua in the same way he did Beau, but his father will hit the ring to try and stop him. Old man Walter will of course be dropped and placed in the Texas Cloverleaf. Edgar will grab a chair again aiming to injure his father instead of his brother and that's when Beau will hit the ring and the two will brawl before Mr. Money gets involved and gets Edgar the hell outta the ring. A steel cage match will be announced for my big show. Once there either Beau will conquer his brother who will then take a short vacation or Edgar will win with Mr. Money paying Havok to break the cage door and destroy Beau setting up the next money feud of Beau Cartwright vs Money Inc. Meanwhile Edgar will tear through the roster until he meets Rich Stevens of DOA whom I'm building up to get to a nice point to where he will be a great challenger.</p><p> </p><p>

Sorry for the post just fell in love with the mod and wanted to throw my plans and how far I've gotten out there. Edgar's bio alone gave me this grand idea and I must say the potential rewards are getting me pumped <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>SJW is great. I like where you're going with the company. It seems like there's a ton of shake ups in the first few months as the other companies find their feet and move people around. Once you're settled it's game on.</p><p> </p><p>

In my story lines, it's Neil, that's i'm gonna turn heel. I feel that as the black sheep he's left out a lot and being a smaller guy gets a bit bullied by his big brothers. I'm using Destruction Inc as my inbetween guys. They are the top fued with the Cartwrights while Texas Hold'em with Jimmy Rich are sniping at them from the outside. I'm going to have promos between Jimmy and Neil with Jimmy trying to sow the seeds of Neil's turn. </p><p> </p><p>

I figure that i'll get and lose a lot of guys so i plan on having Destruction Inc changes it's roster often. We'll see when i have to later on as things are calm so far. I was surprised Cannibal is on my hot prospects screen so i've been giving him wins and pushing him above the other guys. The Ripper has chemistry with Edgar and Beau Cartwright, so i've got that going for me as well.</p><p> </p><p>

I have Heyman E Danger as my avatar and he's got Havok as his client, i lost Miss Chase quickly. I'm doing the Brock Lesnar push for him. Havok is just menacing his way up the roster and i'm bringing in local guys for a quick beat down.</p><p> </p><p>

It's fun.</p>

The AWF's Granddaddy of them all "Showcase of the Immortals" results.

http://i.imgur.com/CZ37QNT.jpg?3

A good show grade but for the company's biggest show of the year I was hoping for a little bit better. Only the Main Event and Oblivion/Exodus really delivered in the ring and at the moment the wrestling is being overshadowed by the angles. A number of matches were penalised for poor psychology so I may have to try and improve that.

Lennox Fury is a repackaged Alpha Male, he may be the man to stop Bulldozer Brannigan's winning streak.

Patriarch has announced that he is going to be off filming a movie in three months so I am going to have to think of a way to write him out of the promotion.

Finally, in sad news Jackie London passed away this month.

I decided to try my hand with CPW and the youngest main eventers are 38yr old Ryan Singer and Ron Castle. These old coots are completely hogging any and all spotlight which is why they're not in a better position to compete. In comes Heyman E. Danger to save the day. The upper midcard is stacked with talent that can step up at any time and they are all YOUNG!!! My CPW champion is in time decline and the biggest star is 51 and also in time decline. Solution, place them in a feud together to headline my PPV's for the next few months eventually giving my 51 year old Adrian Hurst his last hurrah.

Former champion Rick Young will be putting over younger talent and the same fate will befall every single main eventer currently or I may hold off until they hit time decline, but none of them will sniff my CPW championship unless I have a massive change of heart. I know this may not be the thread to discuss such things, but I'll keep us londonverse lovers updated on my progress if any are interested.

London, I can't express just how much I love this mod and I pray that we can see an improvement on this great masterpiece and even a type of expansion. The land down under needs a bit more love :D

<p>I hear ya. I am slowly going through my SJW shows and i'm about 6 months in after restarting a few times to get the feel of the new systems. Getting shows together and even how to get tv slots and make B shows, still a little confusing but i'm still learning and having fun.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Currently in SJW, 6 months have past since i too over and and there's been a few changes. The American Outlaws have taken the Tag Team belts from Twisted Monstrosity. After a few hard fought battles and taking the number one slot from the Dallas Blackhearts. Then win was slightly cheapen when Cubacabra got injured and took the fall. So we'll see a rematch soon. </p><p> </p><p>

Then under card is doing well with only my jobbers really having any problems. Dale Watson is not happy at losing so much but he's just good at it. I gave him a tag team partner in Christopher Spratt. The Winning Combination, though they don't win much. </p><p> </p><p>

My tag teams division is pretty deep. I'm look at 8 full teams, most are units. I'm sad to say that the Hillbilly Wasters aren't doing well. I had plans on them being my Godwins and at least getting a short title reign. I've used them to keep the lower card teams in wins. So far they haven;t complained and i might just let them win the belts in a 4 team elimination match just to say thank you. </p><p> </p><p>

At the top of the card is Beau Carthwright. The plan was for little Neil, to turn heel and then feud with Beau. So Neil does turn but instead of having Beau as the upstanding nice guy, he's been a real jerk to his little brother. Jimmy Rich took the kid aside and they had some nice talks so while Neil did the heel turn, it's mainly because of Beau being a jerk to him in matches and making sure any loss they took, it was Neil staring up at the lights.</p><p> </p><p>

So my plan now is to have Jimmy Rich protect Neil from the Cartwrights and work Neil to an upper midcard slot as he's just a midcarder right now. He'll reluctantly help Jimmy and his buddies until Nancy sets him right in a few months. I'm thinking a double turn, but it'll be Joshua going heel and Neil coming back to the fold. I will have Neil cost Beau the belt and it should have happend already but a missed booking note kept Beau with the belt when Havok should have taken it. I wanted to give Havok a short run with it as a thanks for being a badass and really spiking my ratings with his menace and solid in ring work.</p><p> </p><p>

Havok gained a tag partner and i gained his replacement in Destruction. Guy is solid all around and he's following in Havok's footsteps. This is good as i'm sure Havok isn't going to be around all that long. They get to beat up jobbers and a few Cartwrights from time to time. It makes the big men happy.</p><p> </p><p>

My only problem is the upper card guys. West Bradely and William Kent. I could see those guys taking the top spots but this isn't the place for them to do that. I'm trying to keep them busy and i think i'll interject one or the other into the feud with Beau and Jimmy. They should be able to lock down a few main events or at least the semi mains. </p><p> </p><p>

Destruction Inc are falling slightly to the wayside and becoming my Monster Jobber Squad. Only Cannibal is getting a push as he's on my hot prospects list. I am trying to keep Twisted Monstrosity in the upper card but they are falling downward and i'm thinking of pushing either the Blackhearts or the Devi's Duo. I don't think i can go wrong with either. </p><p> </p><p>

So far i'm having fun and the shows are going well. So many ways to go with SJW.</p><p> </p><p>

Edgar right now is placed solidly in the main event scene for myself and he is my world champion also. His ratings aren't that great, but the story I was able to tell in my mind was well worth it. This may be his last run with the strap unless he makes major strides. Now on to CPW, I have signed the big guns in the free agency. The main storyline right now is Adrian Hurst vs Rick Young and Adrian is not giving me the ratings I need, but that's mostly due to age. However, I am still gonna let him run with the strap for the better part of 6 to 8 months before officially moving him down the card and possibly the tag ranks. I haven't had this much fun with TEW in a long time. Oh and before I forget....have you given any thought of doing a diary about your dealings with SJW Timber?</p>

<p>A diary is a bit beyond my meager writing skills. I can update this thread from time to time. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm a fan of CPW as i've done some of the bio work for that promotion. CPW is very old NWA for me, a lot of old guys that don't want to move on to give their spots to the younger guys. Mainly because they aren't quite ready to move up. So you end up pushing guys you'd really like to have as gatekeepers.</p><p> </p><p>

I've started a WCW run but i'm gonna restart it to get a better feel for the ladies promotion. I'm a huge fan of Joshi and it's one of my faves that London put in. It's what kept me excited as the mod progressed. I might give that a run as well.</p>

<p>You know there's that time when you want to run a Tag Team Tourney and then you realized every team is Heel but your Champs. Yeah, those are bad days. So had to bring in another team and while i can't turn the rest because they aren't geared for a face run, so the Tourney is off but i'm gonna work something out. If not then the American Outlaws might hold the belts for a long while. </p><p> </p><p>

Oh, and the game said that Cleatus from the Hillbilly Wasters was rising and had great potential. This mod is broken. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Plans continue as poor brainwashed Neil fights his family, with Jimmy Rich laughing in the background. Havok fights Beau and should take the belt shortly as poor Beau fights back his feelings of bulling his brother into a life of heeldom. </p><p> </p><p>

The American Outlaws wait for a true challenger. Either Leo Trigg and Magnum Westbank or a retooled Twisted Monstrosity once The Rippers tag partner heals up. Though i want either the Devil's Duo or Blackhearts to rise up from the hole they are in. </p><p> </p><p>

On the plus side only 4 people have morale problems. Of them Edgar and Joshua Cartwright, so yeah, lets get the Main Eventers all pissed at me. It's what i do. My idea roster is 20, so i've gone up to 30. I'm so good at this booking stuff. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

It's still fun.</p>

Hey, getting an A rated show is nothing to be sneered at. A very good job really. Keep it up!
