<p>The World Wrestling Federation</p><p> </p><p>

The World Wrestling Federation is the number one company in the world. The 1980s and Hulkamania put wrestling on the map, and it was all Vince McMahon's doing. Once Vince J. McMahon finally sold the company to his son, it was all uphill from there. Vince K. took wrestling out of the dark, dirty bars and made it to NBC! Other companies wouldn't even be around if not for what Vince had done. And not a single one of the people in the company is bigger than the company, save for McMahon himself. He can get rid of any of them and end up better off in the long run.</p><p> </p><p>

Or, at least, that's the version of history that Vince McMahon would have you believe.</p><p> </p><p>

The truth is, fans have been slowly leaving for a few years now. “The Golden Era” has been over for some time now, and what remains is poor attendance, small arenas, and general apathy from major sponsor circuits. Merchandise is down, buyrates are low, and there aren't many ways that anyone can see to stop the bleeding. The 80s may be over, but it's influence is still felt as shows are still filled with the same sort of squash matches and kid-friendly gimmicks that fans have been tired of since 1993. Add to that the steroid trials, which are ongoing and hanging very high over the head of Vince McMahon. This has led to even less interest in wrestling as the general audience see it as a huge fraud. The WWF's aura could be forever tarnished if the trial goes badly for McMahon.</p><p> </p><p>

However, those fans who remain do so for two reasons: brand loyalty and wanting to watch the great matches that men such as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, and Owen Hart have put on display. Big, burly brawlers are becoming a thing of the past, and the new, athletic wrestler is what the crowds want to see. We are becoming a new generation, and it should be what leads the World Wrestling Federation into the new decade.</p><p> </p><p>

With all these things in mind, Vince prepares to head into the courtroom. He has his lawyers fully prepared to go to task against whatever the prosecution can throw at him. Vince has little time to think about how next week's television will play out, just hoping that he gets back by the time the next taping cycle starts so that he can set his ship on course as they head to Summerslam. Vince plans to pin the United States government down for the three count.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bret “Hitman” Hart</strong></p><p>

Forget the past; yellow and red is out of style, because pink and black is in! Bret Hart worked his way up over the past ten years in the World Wrestling Federation from a tag team wrestler to becoming one of the biggest stars in the WWF's history. Bret has won all three of the WWF's titles twice, the only man to ever repeat the WWF Triple Crown two times in his illustrious career. Bret has also won the King of the Ring tournament and was 1994's co-winner of the Royal Rumble alongside Lex Luger. After disposing of Yokozuna at WrestleMania X to make up for the debacle that happened last year, Bret Hart should be in great spirits – however, a shadow is hanging over the Hart Family… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/owenhart.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The King of Harts” Owen Hart</strong></p><p>

Youngest of the Hart clan, “The Rocket” has always felt he was in the shadow of his family. This especially goes for brother Bret, and those tensions began boiling over around the Survivor Series last November. Owen seemed to get back on track again, until the Royal Rumble, when he viciously attacked Bret and nearly cost him the Royal Rumble match. Owen shockingly defeated Bret in the opening bout of WrestleMania X, making the night that “The Hitman” won the World championship into one of the most bittersweet days of his life. But barring that one huge victory, Owen has been unable to goad Bret into the ring again. However, he may just have an ace up his sleeve thanks to winning the King of the Ring tournament last month. And he owes a lot of that victory to… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/jimneidhart.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart</strong></p><p>

Many wondered why Owen Hart would so suddenly turn against his family like he had, but our answers were all given as Jim Neidhart appeared at the King of the Ring. The former two time WWF Tag Team champion partner of Bret in the Hart Foundation and real life brother-in-law to both brothers, Neidhart has seemed to become resentful of his former partner. Neidhart has “poisoned the well” so to speak, whispering things into Owen's mind that have been the catalyst for him to begin this whole blood feud. “The Anvil” wants Bret's blood on Owen's hands, and will hold up “The King of Harts” in order to get him to knock his old partner down. No one could have called Neidhart's involvement in this family feud, as “The Anvil” never showed any signs of resentment, but now he and Owen will not rest until they have shown Bret up. But speaking of people who won't rest… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/taker.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The Undertaker</strong></p><p>

Ever since his debut at the 1990 Survivor Series, The Undertaker has cut through each and every supposed “dominant” force in the sport of the last ten years. He has done so with an ice cold approach, decimating all who have the unfortunate pleasure of standing before him. A former WWF champion, The Undertaker is no stranger to success. It was in a match for the championship back at the Royal Rumble that saw the downfall of him, however, as Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji, and Jim Cornette had a plan that involved fourteen different men in order to subdue The Undertaker and lock him inside a casket, as well as dump the source of his power, Paul Bearer's urn. The Undertaker had the last laugh, however, as he ascended high above the Providence Civic Center, claiming that “I will NOT rest in peace.” Since then, numerous people have claimed sightings of The Undertaker, but only one man has produced results…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/teddibiase.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and The Million Dollar Corpoaration</strong></p><p>

“Everybody has a price for the Million Dollar Man,” Ted DiBiase used to crow. Ever since his active career was ended, DiBiase has dabbled in many things; namely, commentary and managing. He is gathering a wide array of superstars in order to dominate the World Wrestling Federation. His first acquisition was a simple one: his former partner, Irwin R. Schyster. His next coup was gained through sheer intimidation, as he brought Nikolai Volkoff into his fold. He was then able to buy the services of Bam Bam Bigelow, giving “The Beast from the East” a whole new lease on life. But the best has seemingly been yet to come, as he has recently unearthed The Undertaker to join his team! DiBiase has an eye for talent, having been responsible for Undertaker's initial debut. DiBiase has brought The Undertaker back into the World Wrestling Federation, now powered by money instead of the urn. Paul Bearer has begun to cry foul, though, saying that this is not the real Undertaker! Ted DiBiase has his hands full with this matter, but “The Million Dollar Man” also wants has his fingerprints all over…</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/lexluger.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“Made in the U.S.A.” Lex Luger</strong></p><p>

A former champion anywhere else in the world that he has traveled, Lex Luger made his debut at the 1993 Royal Rumble. He was “The Narcissist” to start, but once his homeland began to feel the weight of Yokozuna crushing down on it, he threw aside that garb to prove that the blood that pumps through his veins is red, white, and blue! He has so far been unsuccessful in gaining the WWF championship, but he has managed to catch the eye of Ted DiBiase. “The Million Dollar Man” has made the claim that Luger is only one or two more meetings away from signing on the dotted line to be the new cash cow of his Million Dollar Corporation, but despite Luger's protests, one man feels completely betrayed…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/tatanka.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The Native American” Tatanka</strong></p><p>

Tatanka has had one of the most incredible undefeated streaks in WWF history. It lasted for over a year, before he was finally defeated in dubious fashion. Having only lost three matches since his debut in February of 1992, Tatanka remains one of the WWF's most decorated athletes. A native of the Lumbee Tribe, Tatanka knows all about loyalty to your people, and has lately called out his friend Lex Luger as having turned away from his people to join the Million Dollar Corporation! The two friends have been seen arguing all over WWF television for weeks, and sometime soon this could all boil over. Tatanka feels that Luger has been a sellout during their entire friendship after a recent confrontation on the Heartbreak Hotel, a friendship that had bonded during a rivalry last year against… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/yokozuna.jpg</span><p>

Gorilla Monsoon would call him “a condominium with legs” but everyone calls him a two time World Wrestling Federation Champion. Yokozuna took the WWF by storm in late 1992, before impressively winning the Royal Rumble in 1993 and defeating Bret Hart for the championship at last year's WrestleMania – only to have it all blow up in his face as he was robbed of the title shortly after. However, he regrouped and in the rematch at the 1993 King of the Ring, he squashed that yellow bug and sent him packing from the WWF to regain the belt. From there, Yokozuna and his manager, the devious Mr. Fuji, along with his American translator Jim Cornette, ran the WWF stars ragged as each one tried to take the belt from him. After losing the title at WrestleMania X, Yokozuna has been somewhat aimless, but there is no telling when he could make another run toward the gold again. Yokozuna is a force to be reckoned with, but a new breed of athlete may be moving up the ranks at the same time… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/shawnmichaels.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>“The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels</strong></p><p>

Formerly one half of the spectacular tag team that was The Rockers, Michaels has really broken out for himself since leaving Marty Jannetty behind. Now a former two time Intercontinental champion, Michaels suffered defeat at WrestleMania X at the hands of Razor Ramon in a ladder match that could be dubbed match of the year, to finally lose the title once and for all. Shawn is an incredible athlete, always willing to throw his body on the line to win a match or to impress the ladies. And who can't be impressed when he introduces his “big” friend…</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/diesel.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Diesel</strong></p><p>

The current WWF Intercontinental champion and Shawn Michaels's bodyguard, Diesel has run down the World Wrestling Federation like a Mack truck and hasn't stopped to look back yet. Standing nearly seven feet tall, no one has found the right combination to defeat him yet. Even Bret Hart has lost to Diesel at the King of the Ring by disqualification, prompting some fans – and Shawn Michaels, especially – claiming that there is no way Hart could have kicked out of the Intercontinental champion's Jackknife Powerbomb, and so Diesel should be a double champion right now! Diesel currently also holds the record for throwing out the most people in one Royal Rumble match, totaling eight men eliminated this past January. But one man who feels he can eliminate the champion and win back his gold is…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/razorramon.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The Bad Guy” Razor Ramon</strong></p><p>

“The Man who Oozes Machismo” was the Intercontinental champion from September 1993 until April. Razor debuted in the WWF in late 1991, a villainous rogue who was here for only one thing: more gold. However, Ramon was quickly taken in and accepted by the fans, and has been a crowd favorite ever since. His popularity soared when he defeated Shawn Michaels to prove that he was the undisputed Intercontinental champion in the first televised ladder match in WWF history at WrestleMania X, but joy quickly was turned to sorrows when Michaels helped Diesel win the strap from Ramon on an episode of Superstars. Razor hasn't lost his drive for gold though, and when he gets either of the two in the ring again, he plans to carve them up! Willing to help Ramon with that task is his good friend… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/123kid.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The 1-2-3 Kid</strong></p><p>

Lightning Kid. Cannonball Kid. It doesn't matter what you call The 1-2-3 Kid, so long as you call him a success! After a fateful night on Monday Night Raw, The Kid defeated Razor Ramon and stole the hearts of all the WWF fans. His aerial maneuvers and sheer heart have endeared him, and with the crowd on his side he has taken on quite a few of the biggest challengers in wrestling. At only 21 years old, The Kid has a long career left in him, but he could be on the verge of achieving the dream of all young men when he takes on Bret Hart in two weeks' time for the WWF championship. But another man who plans on living a few dreams is… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/jeffjarrett.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>“Double J” Jeff Jarrett</strong></p><p>

Jeff Jarrett has a dream, but it isn't just to become a champion in wrestling – he wants to become a champion in country music as well! Jarrett has made claims of being the greatest entertainer in all walks of life, saying he can wrestle, sing, and dance better than anyone else in the world today. A second generation superstar, he certainly has the wrestling chops to be one of the greats, but a great country star? We will have to see how that fares for him. Will Jarrett's ambitions lead him straight to the top, or will his dreams be pulled apart by the same country music crowd he insults? Jarrett definitely wants a first shot at the gold, but one man feels he never lost it to begin with… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wwf/bobbacklund.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Bob Backlund</strong></p><p>

Seemingly a relic of a long-gone age, Bob Backlund came back to the WWF to regain the championship he feels he never truly lost. An All-American in both football and wrestling in his native Minnesota, Backlund had joined the WWWF in 1977, and early into 1978 was it's champion. Bob held the championship until December of 1983, when he lost the championship under very dubious means. He currently holds the longest run in the Royal Rumble at one hour and one minute. Rumors that Bob has been seen backstage staring off into space blankly are just that, rumors, we all know Bob is as American as apple pie. Someone else who would love to make another go at championships that he has held in the past is… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Former two time WWF champion and Intercontinental champion, Randy Savage has had one of the most decorated careers in the history of sports entertainment. Savage now co-hosts Monday Night Raw alongside Vince McMahon, and is one of the most well-known and respected voices in television history. <p>World Championship Wrestling</p><p> </p><p>

“What a dream,” Eric Bischoff thinks to himself.</p><p> </p><p>

The vice president of the second biggest wrestling company woke up from a long dream, a dream where he turned Hulk Hogan into a villain and became probably the most powerful man in all of wrestling. He thought back over the dream, which felt like it had been a recurring dream that he's had for the past two years. </p><p> </p><p>

But he knows full well that there's no way Terry would agree to do any stunts like that.</p><p> </p><p>

He shakes off those thoughts, and turns his mind to where it should be: Bash at the Beach. The show is looming just a few weeks away, on July 17th. The main event has been set in stone as the best two wrestlers of the 1980s going head to head. The incomparable Ric Flair takes on the incredible Hulk Hogan. “Nature Boy” against “Immortal”. WCW stalwart faces the man synonymous with the WWF. With Hogan in the camp of WCW, however, comes with it's own problems. Hulk has barely been in the door and he's already been making a few demands of Eric, and there's one of two ways that can go: you go along with it and risk depushing some of the wrestlers the crowd want to see, or you risk upsetting Hogan. The choice is really obvious, if you think about it.</p><p> </p><p>

Hoganomics has arrived in World Championship Wrestling.</p><p> </p><p>

And so, WCW is looking to gain the audience that the WWF are squandering. The steroid trials have left a stink on what Vince thinks is the whole wrestling world, but WCW are mostly unfazed. The government are going after Vince McMahon, not pro wrestling. And that audience is looking for something more than just solid wrestling to fill the void. The fans want good action, but they want what they know. The fans don't want “Southern 'rasslin'” anymore. They don't want the same old Flair-Steamboat matches over and over again. They want what the WWF has sold them. They want the matches that Vince wasn't willing to give them. They want a competition that can grab the WWF by the throat and throw it down, just like Vince and his Titan Sports did to all those companies in the early 80s. <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/hulkhogan.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan</strong></p><p>

No one man has been more instrumental in our industry than Hulk Hogan, and now he's right here in World Championship Wrestling! You may have seen him in some other promotions over the years, but it is in WCW that Hogan is looking to etch his legacy for good. Hulk has gathered the biggest collection of followers in all of wrestling's history as all his yellow-and-red-clad Hulkamaniacs follow him from town to town, touting his commandments of training, prayers, vitamins, and believing in yourself. The man with twenty-four inch “pythons” is looking to make WCW his new home base instead of it being enemy territory, and the ticker-tape parade that heralded his arrival show that WCW fans are ready to accept him as their new favorite wrestler! A former five time champion elsewhere, there is one major championship that Hogan has never held. And it belongs to the first man he targeted in WCW… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/ricflair.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair</strong></p><p>

Ric Flair is synonymous with World Championship Wrestling. Eleven times the World's champion, “The Nature Boy” is no doubt going to go down in history as one of the greatest pro wrestlers ever. But the match that we've never seen could be set to happen at long last! The 1980s were dominated by two men, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan – and at Bash at the Beach, it finally will occur! Flair has been joined in his new quest to end Hulkamania by the vile Sensuous Sherri, and at Bash at the Beach on July 17th, one of these men will finally be able to show who “The Man” is between the two. Flair is currently at the top of WCW, definitely “The Man”, after having won the title last December from a real life demon…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/vader.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Vader</strong></p><p>

There are no better words that describe Big Van Vader than “powerful,” “devastating,” and “dominant.” Vader practically ran World Championship Wrestling and the World championship from 1992 until this past Starrcade, with no man being able to truly vanquish this behemoth. Vader has put wrestlers out of this sport with his patented power bomb, and beat Cactus Jack so badly that even the tough brawler couldn't even remember his way home! With his own power and drive alongside the shrewd guidance of “Handsome” Harley in his ear, Vader is sure to be ready to get back on track and regain the World's title in the near future, but right now there's another big man standing right in his path… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/guardianangel.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The Guardian Angel</strong></p><p>

“Three strikes and you're out!” No man's boss anymore, man, The Guardian Angel is WCW's guiding light! He entered WCW in February and immediately got on the wrong side of Vader. He then used a baton and handcuffs on Vader and Harley Race, prompting them to be stripped from him by Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel. Taking that loss to heart, he found a new life as one of the Guardian Angels, a peace-keeping group who refuse to use any weapons to make the streets a safer place. The Guardian Angel intends on bringing that same level of peace to World Championship Wrestling. It could only be a matter of time before he can turn his sights toward championship gold, but this man may be holding some of it by the time he gets it… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/johnnybbadd.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>Johnny B. Badd</strong></p><p>

Formerly the “Prettiest Man in WCW” Johnny B. Badd now goes out of his way to wow audiences with some of the most high flying maneuvers you can see in the world! After some recent heartbreaking moments, Johnny is looking to pick up some gold here in WCW. He has not held any titles yet, but he definitely has won the hearts of fans the world over. Badd is a former Golden Gloves champion, and he puts those skills to great use when he hits foes with “The Diss That Don't Miss” and knocks them all unconscious! One man who Johnny has had some problems with as of late has been… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/stevenregal.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Lord Steven Regal</strong></p><p>

“His Lordship,” WCW's new two time World Television champion, has been on a tear ever since he joined WCW in 1993. He has looked down his nose at every challenger as well as every fan in the company, claiming his royal blood makes him better than all the rest. He has saved his championship numerous times simply by going the distance with the TV title's time limit, but he was recently bested by Larry Zbyszko for the belt. However, he won it back just before the end of last month, and it looks as though his reign is going to continue just as it did before. However, there are some other men in WCW who could very easily find themselves in contention once they get out of rivalries they are already embroiled in… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/dustinrhodes.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes</strong></p><p>

“The Son of the Son of the Plumber” he's been called, but one thing you can always call Dustin Rhodes is successful. Ever since joining WCW in 1991, Dustin has won so much gold that you could weigh down a ship with it! He is a former two time United States champion, two time World Tag Team champion, and even had a spell with the World Six-Man Tag Team titles. Dustin has a huge shadow to step out from under, but if anyone can manage it, the 6'6 “Natural” can surely do so. However, Rhodes has lately come under fire from a group who wants to put him out for his father's past, forcing the “sins of the father” to be taken out on the son…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/colrobparker.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The Stud Stable</strong></p><p>

Colonel Robert Parker came to WCW in 1993, bringing his money and “Southern charm” to shows by managing several wrestlers. When he got involved against Dustin Rhodes, he started out by introducing Bunkhouse Buck, but at Slamboree this past May, the plan kicked into high gear as Terry Funk was revealed as the new member of the Stable! The “middle aged and crazy” Funk has said that he wants to punish Dustin for not being able to get in more punishment on father Dusty, he just wants to hurt the kid! Parker's bodyguard, the monstrous Meng, is also a common thorn in the sides of any who are in the vicinity of the Stable. Nearly any member of the Stable could reach up and grab championship gold, but they don't seem all that concerned with that for now, simply wanting to take Dustin Rhodes out. Dustin, however, may have found himself an equalizer to fight alongside… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/doublea.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>“The Enforcer” Arn Anderson</strong></p><p>

The most dangerous man in a fight doesn't always have to be the biggest, sometimes he just has to be the most cunning! The veteran Arn Anderson, longtime “Enforcer” for Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen, is one of the best athletes in all of professional wrestling. He's not big, he's not good looking, and he's not going to wow you with high flying acrobatic feats. What he does is he will punish any enemy in his way! Anderson is ruthless, and for once, he finds himself without a country to stand on at the moment. After the last “experiment” with the Horsemen, he and best friend Ric Flair have gone their separate ways career-wise. “Double A” may have recently found a new life though, as the son of his former enemy, Dustin Rhodes, reached out to Anderson to help him in his battle against the Stud Stable. Anderson agreed, and sent out the warning that he wasn't going to be a nice guy; instead, we were going to start seeing the old, dirty, ruthless “Enforcer” again! Another man who knows this side of Anderson all too well is… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/rickysteamboat.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat</strong></p><p>

“The Dragon” is always ready to breathe fire! Steamboat, former World champion and a man who has had so many match of the year candidates that the list may as well belong to him, will definitely go down as one of the greatest athletes in all of pro wrestling. With his trademark chops and arm drags, Ricky has targeted the WCW United States title as of late, a title he's held three times in the past and feels is being made a mockery of during this reign of “Stunning” Steve Austin. Ricky very nearly won the World title this past April, but came up just barely short against Ric Flair. Can taking this slight step down the ladder prove to be a successful move for “The Dragon”, or is Austin truly the “Dragon Slayer” as he's been claiming? Regardless, Ricky remains one of the most popular good guys in WCW, and one that the fans may never be able to despise. Which is a description that only one other man really claim… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/wcw/sting.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The Franchise of WCW” Sting</strong></p><p>

You can have all the imitations you want; paint their face, give them his moves, it doesn't matter – because “The Stinger” is only right here in World Championship Wrestling! Sting is perhaps the embodiment of WCW, and he is always looking to do one of three things: win titles, defeat Ric Flair, and give all of his “Little Stingers” the greatest show they've ever seen!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<p>NWA: Eastern Championship Wrestling</p><p> </p><p>

Paul Heyman shakes his head and laughs. He watches as his former employer, Eric Bischoff and WCW, signs up guys like Hulk Hogan, a guy who will take over the company in his own ways. He watches as Vince McMahon and the WWF try to find their way out of a huge steroid trial while still pushing on with the cartoon character gimmicks that people are sick of. </p><p> </p><p>

It's time for something new in wrestling. Time for a new era. Time for a revolution.</p><p> </p><p>

And that revolution will come from a bingo hall in south Philadelphia.</p><p> </p><p>

In a backroom meeting that only the two know about, Tod Gordon has signed over his shares of NWA: Eastern Championship Wrestling to Heyman, but remains in the company and remains as the authority of the company to the television audience and the NWA affiliates who may not find themselves wanting to deal with the brash Heyman. They claim that the NWA will be giving their company the NWA World Heavyweight championship, what was once perhaps the most prestigious championship in all of wrestling. That would be a nice notch in ECW's belt, a moderate leap toward the mainstream consciousness of the world. </p><p> </p><p>

But is it enough to take on the big dogs of professional wrestling?</p><p> </p><p>

Paul Heyman isn't sure exactly what is going on with that, but he has a meeting soon with Tod Gordon, Shane Douglas, and Joey Styles to talk about a few things. But Paul won't be happy until the company is not just moved up to become a third wheel in the big war of wrestling, but to try and win it. He wants national exposure. He wants ECW on the lips of every wrestling fan in the world. And he knows that he can do it, he just needs to get in position. The fans don't need Hulk Hogan or Bret Hart slapping hands with snot-nosed kids. The fans don't need gimmicky crap like Doink the Clown. The fans want blood. They want violence. They want what he has to sell. But he needs to show them that he has it to sell. And to do that, he may have to cut ties with some of Eastern Championship Wrestling's past in order to fuel it's future.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>The war is on in the big cities, but Paul Heyman is rallying his own troops to pick the bones of whoever may win. This begins the <strong>Legend Of Black Heaven</strong>.</p><p>

<strong>“The Franchise” Shane Douglas</strong></p><p>

When we said that there was a night that a line was crossed, Shane is the one who leaped over it. A former World Tag Team champion in WCW, Shane came to Eastern Championship Wrestling with a huge chip on his shoulder. Championship gold is practically his birthright, and he accomplished it by winning the ECW Heavyweight championship twice; once in 1993 and again this past March at Ultimate Jeopardy by pinning Terry Funk. Douglas has just come out of a series of matches against the Bruise Brothers alongside his bodyguard “The Roughneck” Mr. Hughes, and has over the past year had an on-again-off-again rivalry with… </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tommy Dreamer</strong></p><p>

What is there not to like about this kid? The NWA's Rookie of the Year has been winning matches left and right here at ECW, and is doing all he can to earn the respect of the hardcore fans. They… haven't seemed to take to him just yet, though. He has been fighting with Shane Douglas, who's chain covered fist cost Tommy his ECW Tag Team championship reign a few months ago, and if there's anyone that ECW fans love to root against, it's Douglas. However, there is one man who the ECW collective have taken to immediately…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Sabu has taken Eastern Championship Wrestling by storm! With his death-defying maneuvers and propensity to put his body on the line whether he needs to or not, the ECW faithful have taken him in as their favorite son. Sabu is ushering in a new era of professional wrestling, taking the things he has learned from his uncle The Sheik and all he has gained in Japan and the bloody bar fights of Philadelphia, along with leaving hundreds of broken tables in his wake. Managed by Paul E. Dangerously, Sabu could be one day remembered as the greatest ever. His popularity is so immense in our circles that Sabu will go one-on-one on Saturday the 16th against “The Franchise” in a match dubbed “Battle for the Future of Wrestling”! Thanks to Dangerously and his ever-present cellular phone, at Hostile City Showdown last month Sabu was able to pick up his biggest win to date against another hardcore legend… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/cactusjack.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Cactus Jack</strong></p><p>

Born Mick Foley from Long Island, Cactus Jack has come a long way in his career. Cactus had a heartbreaking loss at Hostile City Showdown that was so emotionally scarring to him that he spit on his WCW World Tag Team title belt. Jack hasn't been seen in ECW again since that, but you have to believe that we will be seeing him again soon. Cactus is definitely a legend of hardcore wrestling, and will be looking to take that crown back. But there is another man called a hardcore icon, and only one he can stake that claim right now… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/terryfunk.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>Terry Funk</strong></p><p>

Perhaps one of the greatest men to ever step foot in the squared circle is a former ECW champion, and is probably one of the most recognizable names you can see in our company. “The Funker” shocked everyone by holding his own as the third part of a classic hour long three way dance bout at The Night The Line Was Crossed against up and coming stars Sabu and Shane Douglas, but then lost his championship to Douglas in Ultimate Jeopardy. He slapped Paul E. after Dangerously made the huge mistake of talking about Terry's daughters in a promo, but Paul has fired back by paying off the Public Enemy to assault him. Terry then teamed with Arn Anderson to take on Bobby Eaton and Sabu, but was turned on by Anderson. Now, Funk has now brought in the only partner he knows he can trust with his life: his brother, Dory Funk Jr.! The only brothers to both hold a World Heavyweight championship are together for the first time in years, right here in NWA: ECW! Terry and Dory are ready for war, but there are a pair of hoodies who want to put them out to pasture… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/johnnygrunge.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/roccorock.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The Public Enemy</strong></p><p>

“Flyboy” Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge, ECW Tag Team champions, have taken on all comers for their titles thus far and come out on top each time. The Public Enemy have shown themselves to be thugs, using their fists and anything that isn't nailed down to their advantage. Currently, they are embroiled in quite the blood feud against Terry and Dory Funk, one which saw Terry hogtie Rocco and hang him from the Eagle's Nest in the ECW Arena! This feud can only get hotter and bloodier as time goes on; and either the young bucks will get the best of the old guard, or the old cowboys will break the new studs. But one day soon, this feud may end – and when that happens, who will be coming for the championships? Speaking of championship gold, though…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/mikeywhipwreck.jpg</span><p>

<strong>Mikey Whipwreck</strong></p><p>

There have been many underdogs in wrestling, but none have ever been so captivating and fan adored as young Mikey. After spending months getting pummeled and beaten down by everyone, Mikey lucked his way into winning the ECW Television championship from The Pitbull! He has defended the belt numerous times without ever being able to hit an offensive move. But at Hostile City Showdown, Mikey finally had his first offensive maneuver! Way to go, kid! Mikey is still holding the title, but Jason is assembling a collection of angry men to take it away from him. But Mikey is but one small man in Eastern Championship Wrestling. There is one overwhelming giant who has everyone in ECW pretty scared for their livelihoods… </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/911.jpg</span><p>

<strong>911</strong></p><p>

Paul E. Dangerously isn't just scary enough to run afoul of because he has the dangerous Sabu under his watch. Also at his beck and call is the chokeslamming machine, 911! No one has been safe – not wrestlers, not managers, not referees, not even our owner and commissioner Tod Gordon! The road of chokeslams will seem to continue only when Paul E. says that they will stop. But there is one duo that have done potentially worse than just physical decimation, they've been mentally and emotionally devastating…</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/sandman.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong>The Sandman</strong></p><p>

A “Big Shot” indeed! The Sandman and Peaches were one of Philadelphia's favorite couples, but now they are completely estranged, as Sandman called her a bitch on live television! Since dropping Peaches as his manager and revealing his “business partner” as the devious Woman, Sandman has taken to carrying a Singapore Cane wherever he goes, and is embroiled in a hate-filled battle with former friend “Iron Man” Tommy Cairo, who had taken Peaches's side in this separation. Sandman has told Tommy that he doesn't even want to fight him, doesn't care that he's sleeping in Sandman's house, or playing in his pool or even hooking up with his wife; he just wants Tommy to pay him for all of it like the rest of the boys had to! Sandman will take on Cairo again on the 16th in a match where each man is armed with a Singapore Cane. With his cigarettes and beer in hand, Sandman looks to be growing more and more dangerous as time continues. But he isn't the only dangerous entity in NWA: ECW… </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/tazmaniac.jpg</span><p>

<strong>The Tazmaniac</strong></p><p>

“The Tasmanian Suplex Machine” is an outright force to be reckoned with wherever he decides to roam! A former two time ECW Tag Team champion and ECW Television champion already in his young career, this savage creature is only just beginning to get started in his rise to the top of professional wrestling. He has held gold with the veteran Kevin Sullivan, who took “Taz” under his wing for a few months. The deep, dark things that Sullivan taught the young animal could be revealed at any time, but we're sure that it won't be pretty for the rest of the men and women here at Eastern Championship Wrestling! One person who may find out all about it sooner rather than later is…</p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/jason.jpg</span><p>

<strong>“The Sexiest Man Alive” Jason</strong></p><p>

Give me a break! “Sexiest Man Alive”? Well, that claim has yet to be proven, but one thing you can say about this guy is that he has a definite mind for collecting talent. He currently manages The Rockin' Rebel in a quest to take the Television title away from Mikey – with Jason as the driving force, saying that Whipwreck got the break that should have been Jason's – and also The Pitbulls. That's right, Pitbulls, plural; two weeks ago at Hostile City Showdown, The Pitbull became two Pitbulls when the second behemoth debuted to help annihilate “the monkey boy” Tazmaniac. With all of these things happening, centering around Jason, how long until someone gets through his beasts and gets their hands around his scrawny little neck? </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<p>A Brief Out of Character Lesson</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>So yes; 1994. The year that a lot of people likely felt that I have already “beaten”. </p><p> </p><p>

Well, I disagree.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A lot of you are probably wondering why I would do this over again instead of move on to a new year. Trust me, I have plenty of ideas for different mods. But… well, it's pride leading me on. There are a lot of things I did, decisions I made, that I look back on and really disagree with how I did it. After not very long, it just didn't feel right anymore, and I've done so much looking up at the history of the actual 1994 in professional wrestling that I cannot leave it alone.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, there have been so many people say that they feel they can't make their own Clash of the Titans game because I did so much and so well at it. Well… I'll remedy that. By the time I get into the swing of things, you'll all want to start your own game to set some things up. With some of my ideas I have in store for you all this time, you can almost bank on that.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, this is in no way going to be a retread of War of the Thrones; just because I am working with the WCW '94 roster again means literally nothing. And also, I will be booking the WWF and ECW as well in this. So here is my mission statement regarding a few things.</p><p> </p><p>

Oh, and I know this will be making you all a little sad, but there will be no Hotline this time. I decided to keep this game strictly kayfabe, so no major backstage notes for you this time.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">“Isn't your roster list missing ______?”</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

I did not list a few names on these roster lists, most of them the enhancement guys like the Hardys, Bert Centeno, etc. I do this because they aren't the “stars” that would have their names in a company program, and because barring a new persona for some of them, they will be gone directly in favor of just having local hires. For the WWF I also did not list The Barbarian because research has shown that while he was on the roster, he hadn't come back to television yet. And two contracts I have outright deleted: The Rock 'n Roll Express. Because they were almost more on a loan from SMW, never appearing on TV; so again, it's like they weren't even there. I've made sure a lot of the “enhancement” contracts that I did leave on are shortened; barring WCW. Since they don't have much in the way of roving shows, I would have ended up using the same local guys over and over, so I left their contracts intact.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The number of listed TV shows</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Looks scary, huh? As you can see, I have added four extra shows into the fold, two each for WWF and WCW. The plan here is to have a full week of programming. Now, looking it up has proven that WCW ran three out of their four shows on Saturday, but I placed Pro and Worldwide both on Friday so as not to overload one day when I have another one just sitting there vacant. However, don't cry for my booking speed just yet; because I may have noted all of the shows as being their regular times, but they aren't going to be that way in-game. Since a lot of time was spent on those shows for just advertisements and house show promotion, I have made All-American, Wrestling Challenge, Main Event, and Pro only half hour shows, with Main Event only being a full hour when it's a PPV pre-show. So it looks like I'm booking a lot more than I actually am.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Method of Posting Shows</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

This is my biggest change in this game. With nine weekly shows to book and display (not even counting events!) the posts could get really long. However, the way I'm playing this out is pretty simple actually. Put yourself in 1994 mindset, before we all had the internet and recordable TV space like DVRs or Tivo (scary!) and your shows were all on television thanks to cable television and syndication. So you have both cable and syndication at your disposal, but not enough time a week to fully watch everything. There will only be one “A” show that you have time to fully watch, while the others are just being recorded on VHS and viewed later. I am going to use four different levels of show write up: PPV, A show, B+ show, and C show. My “A show” writeup will be the most detailed, featuring pictures and everything. My “B+ show” writeup is an A show with a shorter focus. A “C show” writeup is used for every in-game B-show, as basic and simple as it gets.</p><p> </p><p>

This is where it gets fun for you guys.</p><p> </p><p>

The way I decide what show gets written up in A show format compared to B+ is entirely up to you, the viewers. Each week is a new poll left for you guys to post which show you want me to cover in more detail the following week. But it will never be the same show twice in a row. So for example, the first “A show” writeup is WCW Saturday Night, for reasons I'll spell out when week one is posted. For week two, I will take votes from you all on whether I write Raw or ECW in more detail. Ties in votes will be decided by me, as the writer, so no worries about that.</p><p> </p><p>

This is the kicker, though.</p><p> </p><p>

You guys know I'm in The Mod Squad, right? You know that message board we have, <a href="http://wrestlingnexus.com/forum/index.php" rel="external nofollow">The Wrestling Nexus</a>? Well, this diary will also be posted there, but it will post a week <strong>before</strong> I post it on GDS. Kind of a little extra access, a “thank you” for those of you taking part in our second home. Now, if you read the shows for a week there, feel free to post on GDS for what you want to see next. But given the shows won't be posted here until a week later, you'll have to keep up a little bit with the pacing, or else your vote will get thrown out because you'll be looking at the wrong week. If you don't follow, then just give it time and you'll all pick it up.</p><p> </p><p>

This is a brief sidenote regarding ECW. Their events are not televised, so you are not able to watch them on television, right? So yeah. Not going to write those up. Oh, they will play into the monthly prediction contest; but you will only get those results on the show itself; just how ECW really was.</p><p> </p><p>

The biggest thing is, let's have some fun with 1994! It's July 4th, week one, and it's almost time for the Clash of the Titans! Drop all preconceived notions that my name and that time frame gives you, and prepare your sphincters for one heck of a ride!</p><p> </p><p>

Oh, and that thing you read that you completely didn't expect to happen, that makes you angry with my booking of certain people? You'll come to expect that; it's going to occur a lot. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">Hey Beejus! Looking forward to this one. You are definitely an inspiration for most here, including myself. You keep rocking on, my friend. I'm going to do my best to keep up with things. The first thought is that this is going to be another 1994 diary? Or it could be a diary based on a video game mod? Looking forward to seeing what you've got underneath your sleeve.</span>

...You tease.

I'm a bit surprised that this is another dynasty using Clash of the Titans, just because I figured you'd want to jump into a completely different time period after how long you spent on War of the Thrones. Regardless, I'm sure whatever you've got in store will be awesome. I'll be keeping a close eye on this one to be sure!

<p>I am not going to make this a habit, but I'm making an exception for this time to point out that week 1 is posted over on Nexus as of now. The only reason I make this exception is because I doubt people would expect me to have it done and posted already, but I haven't been just lazing around during my off time - I kept working!</p><p> </p><p>

If you would prefer to just view it here instead of looking over there, then no worries; I will be posting week one here in a few days.</p>

<p>July 1994, Week 1</p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Writer's Notes</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> These episodes of Raw and ECW were not booked by me; they are the legitimate episodes that aired on the 4th and 5th of July, written in my “B+ style” to show off how that works. ECW did get a bit long, but I felt it was warranted to make up for how you guys may not know a lot about what was going on there at the time. WCW Saturday Night on the 9th was an hour long, live episode of the show, which is how I booked it to be. Week two goes back to their two hour, taped format.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> On the days which have no wrestling show, I have included “time capsule” videos, to really get you guys in the 1994 spirit! Enjoy them, because they will be coming along with each and every week that I post!</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> I know I mentioned the whole “you decide what gets written out next” thing, but in this case the choice fell to </span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>pakonruff</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> as one of his prizes for winning the final War of the Thrones prediction prize. So in week two, ECW's show will be given the A-show treatment.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Hope you like the new formats and everything!</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> Just to point this out, you can subscribe to not only this thread to get email notifications for when things are posted, but also you can do the same on Nexus. Peaches brandishes a Singapore Cane as Tommy talks about how Sandman always seems to get to the cane before he can, but on Saturday the 16th he won't have to – because they will both start with Singapore Canes! Tommy lights a cigarette for Peaches as she says that “Just like when we were only dating, it's the same old story; always Tommy Cairo who lit my fire.”<br /> <br /></li><li> From that we go to recent highlights of the feud between <strong>Tommy Cairo</strong> and <strong>The Sandman</strong>. It starts with the post-match caning from Sandman and <strong>Woman</strong> to Cairo and <strong>Peaches</strong> from When Worlds Collide last month. It then shows other times that Sandman has viciously attacked Tommy with the Singapore Cane, even the “instant replay” interview where Tommy was talking about having gotten caned and then Sandman sneaked up behind him to cane him again, before laughing “Instant replay!” At Hostile City Showdown, Woman caned Peaches as she tried to protect Cairo, and each and every time, The Sandman has said one thing: “Pay your bill, Cairo!”<br /> <br /></li><li> “Dueling Canes, Cairo?! Have you lost your mind?!” <strong>The Sandman</strong> and <strong>Woman</strong> are in front of the ECW banner, again just telling him to pay his bill! Woman closes the brief promo by saying that “Tommy? Bitch? It's time to smoke you out,” as Sandman blows smoke into the camera.<br /> <br /></li><li> Later tonight: Sabu vs. Chad Austin!<br /> <br /></li><li> Next week on ECW: Welcome to the jungle! Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka takes on The Tazmaniac!<br /> <br /></li><li> A highlight video quickly airs of <strong>The Tazmaniac</strong> defeating <strong>The Pitbull</strong> at Hostile City Showdown in a dog collar match. However, right after the bell rang, the second <strong>Pitbull</strong> rushed the ring, and the brutal duo assaulted Taz and left him lying in the middle of the ring! <br /> <br /></li><li> The ECW Television championship is on the line next as unlikely champion <strong>Mikey Whipwreck</strong> takes on the brutal <strong>Pitbull #2</strong>. Pitbull dominates Mikey for the entire match, but Whipwreck decks Jason off the apron! Both Pitbulls then enter the ring and hammer Mikey, costing Pitbull #2 the match and the title, but there is a horrific three-on-one situation now as Jason and The Pitbulls destroy the TV champion. <br /> <br /></li><li> <strong>The Tazmaniac</strong> hits the ring to attack <strong>The Pitbulls</strong> and <strong>Jason</strong> and stop this beating, but he is only one animal man against three, and he falls as well. <br /> <br /></li><li> <strong>Paul E. Dangerously</strong> is on to talk about Saturday, July 16th, to talk about the “Battle for the Future of Wrestling” between Shane Douglas and Sabu. He says that he doesn't know why they're even recording comments now because everything is pre-empted because of O.J. Simpson anyways, saying that he would personally poison Simpson's air to take him out so that ECW will air! Paul talks about Cactus Jack, telling him that he doesn't care what Jack has to say as long as he's under Turner contract. He turns his attention to Shane Douglas, complimenting him on being a “wrestler's wrestler” holding the ECW Heavyweight title in a land of brawlers, hoodies, crazies, and everything else in ECW – but he has one blemish in his record in the past four years and that belongs to Sabu. He ends by saying that he hopes that the future of wrestling belongs to Sabu – but he knows how good Douglas is as well. The only way to find out who it is will be on Saturday night, July 16th, at the ECW Arena.<br /> <br /></li><li> As soon as <strong>Sabu</strong> is released from his rolling gurney by 911, “The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal Maniac” charges right after <strong>Chad Austin</strong> in their match. Austin never stands a chance for a single moment of this, and Sabu closes the book on this match quickly with an Arabian Facebuster.<br /> <br /></li><li> <strong>911</strong> chains <strong>Sabu</strong> back to the gurney and is pulling him out of the arena, but <strong>Shane Douglas</strong> and <strong>“The Roughneck” Mr. Hughes</strong> are on their way down to the ring. Hughes and 911 have a tense few moments before officials separate the two massive men.<br /> <br /></li><li> <strong>Shane Douglas</strong> is supposed to be facing <strong>Tommy Dreamer</strong>, but <strong>Mr. Hughes</strong> is fired up and attacks Dreamer before the bell can even sound. Shane punches the referee out and it becomes a plain two-on-one mugging of an attack, leading to Hughes hitting Tommy with a sidewalk slam. Shane gets down to count a three, but Tommy kicks out of even this unofficial count! However that's the worst thing he could have done, and the two completely lay him out; however Tommy is technically the winner by disqualification.<br /> <br /></li><li> <strong>Shane Douglas</strong> stands on Tommy Dreamer to talk about how in four years there has been no blemish on his win-loss record, even going so far as to say that WCW put a mask on Tom Zenk just to <em>try</em> to put a loss on his record! Shane says that nobody holds a belt as prestigious as his, not Bret Hart and not Ric Flair! Shane adds that Sherri keeps calling him every night to say that Ric isn't enough man for her anymore. He says that Sabu might be able to beat an injured Shane with only one arm, he might be able to beat a man with only one ear like Cactus Jack, but he will not defeat a healthy “Franchise” one on one on July 16th!</li></ul><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Wednesday, July 6th, 1994</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42639" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Coming Soon to a Theater Near You!</span></p><p> <iframe width="320" height="240" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EAZIYo3dQmQ?start=30&end=60" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/EAZIYo3dQmQ?start=30&end=60"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Thursday, July 7th, 1994</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42639" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Billboard Top 100 #1 Song of the Week</span></p><p> <iframe width="230" height="173" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2XKMPCJfq_k?rel=0" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/2XKMPCJfq_k?rel=0"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Friday, July 8th, 1994</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42639" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/logos/pro.jpg</span><p> <span style="color:#FF00FF;"><strong>WCW Pro</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> Steve Austin d. Tony points out that these two teams went to a time limit draw on WCW Main Event recently, and says that each of them will be looking to pick up a victory tonight to show how better they are than the other team. Keirn and Eaton do some big damage on Rhodes throughout this bout, feeling he is the weaker member due to how much less in-ring experience he has than Anderson. It is apparent to most fans watching that Keirn was really struggling to keep up with everyone, match quality wise. However that only lasts so long until “The Enforcer” manages to get in, and after he and Rhodes get momentum on their side, a DDT finishes Keirn off at 4:36. Flair begs off of Sting outside the ring, so Sting heads outside to run Ric all the way around the arena! Flair takes over by getting back into the ring first and stomping the fired-up Sting when he re-entered. The champion, who's title Tony makes sure to note is not on the line in this bout, begins taking Sting apart, namely the left knee. But the support of the “Little Stingers” is enough to will their favorite son on, as “The Franchise of WCW” starts feeling no effect on some chops, before pounding his chest and howling to his fans! He sends Flair from one side of the ring to the other, and after a big gorilla press slam Sting looks ready to lock in the Scorpion Deathlock! However a fan jumps the barricade and causes Sting to get distracted, as Ric slides a foreign object out of his trunks and onto his hand. As Nick Patrick is paying attention to the fan, Flair nails Sting in the jaw with it! Ric puts the object back and falls on top for the cover as security start doing their job, and Nick Patrick can only turn around and count the three! (B) <em>Flair and Sting have pretty good chemistry and it lifted the match. Their in-ring performances were A* for Flair and B+ for Sting.</em></p><p> </p><p> The fan breaks through security and gets into the ring and leaps into <strong>Ric Flair</strong>'s arms in celebration! But that's when <strong>Hulk Hogan</strong> heads down the aisle! Hogan hits Flair with three big punches to put him on the mat, and Flair rolls out of the ring. Hogan, <strong>Jimmy Hart</strong>, and <strong>Mr. T</strong> corner the fan, who tears off “his” mustache and goatee to reveal <strong>Sensuous Sherri</strong>! Hogan grabs Sherri and hits an atomic drop on him, sending her over the top rope and right onto Flair on the outside! Hogan and Mr. T help Sting to his feet, and the three pose to end WCW Saturday Night! (B+) <em>Flair's performance was good, but Hogan's was fantastic in beating up a woman. Sherri underperformed the big reveal because everyone knew it was her to begin with.</em></p><p><em> Show Rating: B-. Savage says that match will be “out of sight, yeah!” (C+)<br /> <br /></li><li> <strong>Bret “The Hitman” Hart</strong> and <strong>The 1-2-3 Kid</strong> both make their entrances to the Fernwood Resort, but before the match can get started, <strong>“King of Harts” Owen Hart</strong> and <strong>Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart</strong> crash the party, with WWF security members trailing after them! Owen and Neidhart disrupt the show, but are quickly pulled away. Owen calls Bret a “scaredy cat” because he won't face him.<br /> <br /></li><li> Once the match gets started proper, <strong>The 1-2-3 Kid</strong> makes the most of his championship opportunity to take <strong>Bret Hart</strong> to the limit! The two really get the crowd buzzing as they exchange holds, counterholds, and counter-counterholds, but in the end The Kid gets caught coming off the top rope and locked into the Sharpshooter. Bret barely retains his belt at 23:42. (B) <em>The two showed pretty good chemistry. Bret really shone, and got a bonus for slowly building the match well. Ramon shows that he is ready for another shot at Diesel and the Intercontinental championship by quickly putting Horowitz away at 3:21 with a simple cradle. DiBiase says that he's accumulated quite the company in his Million Dollar Corporation, gathering Nikolai Volkoff, Bam Bam Bigelow, and even The Undertaker! But he says that the best is to come when he buys Lex Luger. He says he made a very lucrative offer to Luger, but he hasn't signed on the dotted line just yet. Shane says that he has been a successful quarterback all his life because he has a great offensive line, and that is Mr. Hughes. Hughes tells 911 that Douglas is not paying Hughes to just stand around, and so if anyone gets in his way, “The Ruffneck” will take him out! Shane puts over that this Saturday's match is dubbed “The Future of Wrestling” as he takes on Sabu. Shane talks about holding the gold through blood, sweat, and tears, and that's why in 1994 and 2004 they will call “The Franchise” wrestling! Douglas says that he has called out both Bret Hart, “The Excellence of Execution”, to come to Philadelphia to find out who's the better man, and he hasn't answered; he says he looked to Atlanta and called out Ric Flair to come to Philadelphia and find out who is “The Great One”, but he hasn't answered the challenge either. He says that he was flipping around the channel the other day and saw Sensational Sherri, thinking she was on there with Bob Barker – but it wasn't, it was that old, dried up piece of <em>*bleep*</em> Ric Flair. He says that Sherri took a wrong turn, but the rest of professional wrestling didn't, because they are looking at ECW, and they look at ECW because of “The Franchise”. He says that Saturday night, Sabu gets a look up close and personal. ©</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/logos/ecwbump0.png</span></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/chadaustin.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/rockinrebel.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/mq-1/ecw/jason-s.jpg</span></p><p> Chad Austin is out to mock the fans for cheering on “The Almighty Circus Freak” Sabu last week, calling the fans all scumbags for cheering against him. Joey Styles says that he can't talk like that to the crowd, but sure enough, he did. Chad then is set to have a match against <strong>Rockin' Rebel</strong>, accompanied by manager <strong>Jason</strong>. But Austin says that he refuses to put on such a high quality match for scumbags like these, so he lays down, actively deciding to lose the match! Chad takes the microphone again and dedicates the loss to “all you scumbags in south Philadelphia!” Rebel puts him over afterward, calling this “a hard fought victory” and telling Jason that maybe Chad is “championship material”. The bout serves its purpose to showcase both men, with Pillman picking up the win when <strong>Tanaka-San</strong> blatantly enters the ring and the two men assault Brian in front of new WCW referee Charles Robinson, leaving him to call for the bell at 6:45. (C+) <em>Pillman and Haito have great chemistry against one another.</em><br /></li><li> The attack continues after the bell, but the man Brian has found a common enemy with, <strong>“Hardwork” Bobby Walker</strong> rushes into Center Stage to put a stop to this! Together, they are able to repel Haito and Tanaka-San, but will they be able to do so at Bash at the Beach in tag team action? (D+) <em>Haito is getting better at his Masked Man gimmick.</em><br /></li><li> <strong>“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair</strong> and <strong>Sensuous Sherri</strong> join us from one of Flair's homes, where he gives us his final thoughts before Bash at the Beach. He talks about how he has been the standard bearer for WCW since before it was even WCW, and he isn't about to let some intruder come in and take it all from him over the course of one night. Flair says that Sherri knows all about Hogan and Jimmy Hart, and she has given Ric all of her knowledge, and he urges all the Hulkamaniacs to mark July 17th, 1994 on the calender as the day “The Nature Boy” destroys Hulkamania! (B+) <em>Flair worked the crowd well here, using the freedom to his advantage. Flair used a new catchphrase, calling himself the standard bearer. (B-)<br /></li><li> A brief video plays featuring a newcomer by the name of <strong>Jean-Paul Lévesque</strong>, who says (in a ridiculously overplayed, stereotypical “French” accent) that he has come to “World Champeenship Wreztleeng” in order to win world acclaim and show that he is the greatest wrestler in the world. ©<br /></li><li> <strong>Gene Okerlund</strong> hosts the final Bash at the Beach Control Center, where he runs down the entire card but also sends us to training footage featuring <strong>Hulk Hogan</strong> and <strong>Mr. T</strong>. Mr. T is holding a punching bag as Hogan punches away on it, with the two eventually noticing the camera. T says that of all the people he's trained and fought with, no one has ever been ready for a fight like “The Hulkster” is now, and Hogan asks what Ric Flair is gonna do when all of Hulkamania runs wild on him. (B) <em>Hogan looked good, T is getting better at his gimmick, but Gene was underwhelming.</em><br /></li><li> Young second generation star <strong>Erik Watts</strong> is the unfortunate victim of a squash match against <strong>Vader</strong>. Vader decimates the youngster, winning when new referee Jimmy Jett cannot stand to see any more and stops the bout at 1:55 to protect the kid from any further harm. (C-) <em>Vader looked excellent out there.</em><br /></li><li> Vader isn't done though, as he stands to intends to prove a point. Harley Race takes out a pair of handcuffs and they cuff Watts to the ring ropes, and Vader beats Watts with a metal baton! One very vicious blow to the back of Erik's head has him basically knocked out, before <strong>The Guardian Angel</strong> is finally able to get into the arena to make the save. But he was just a few moments too late, and paramedics take Watts away. (B-) <em>Vader looked good, but Erik was very underwhelming.</em><br /></li><li> <strong>Ron Simmons</strong> easily dispatches <strong>Mark Starr</strong> in 2:41, being dominant but not nearly as brutal as Vader had been in the previous squash. (C-)<br /></li><li> We now finally go to the final thoughts from the camp of <strong>“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan</strong>, <strong>Jimmy Hart</strong> at his side. <strong>Mr. T</strong> is there as well, as is the man Hogan calls “the biggest Hulkamaniac of them all” <strong>Bruti</strong>. Hulk makes a pun with Bruti about “cutting through Ric Flair” but overall is just his usual loud, boisterous self. “The Hulkster” says that with all the Hulkamaniacs in the crowd and at ringside like Jimmy Hart, Shaquille O'Neal, and Mr. T (I guess Brutus doesn't get comped a seat?) there'll be nothing “Slick Ric” or “Scary Sherri” can do to stop destiny from taking place as Hulk Hogan becomes the undisputed WCW World Heavyweight champion, brother! SO WHAT'CHA GUNNA DOOOOOO?!?! (B) <em>Hart helped Hogan during this segment. T is getting better still at his gimmick. Hogan came across well, but Bruti underperformed in his role of doing nothing.</em><br /></li><li> In a match designed to cool the crowd down after all that, <strong>Stars 'n Stripes</strong> defeat <strong>Rip Rogers</strong> and <strong>The Gambler</strong> with Patriot pinning Rogers after their suplex/crossbody combination move at 5:42 (C-) <em>The Patriot debuted a new comeback spot which will help his psychology in future matches.</em><br /></li><li> Our main event of the evening features two matches that will happen at Bash at the Beach, as <strong>Steve Austin</strong> and <strong>Lord Steven Regal</strong> battle <strong>Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat</strong> and <strong>Sting</strong>! It's a long bout, taking 20:35 to complete. The end comes as Steamboat and Austin fight out of Center Stage, but just as Sting is about to finish Regal off, <strong>Ric Flair</strong> enters the ring and hits Sting in the eye with Sherri's high heeled shoe! Nick Patrick immediately calls for the bell, awarding the match by disqualification. (B+)<br /></li><li> The attack doesn't stop there, as Sherri and Flair continue kicking and stomping on the blinded Sting as he is down on the mat. Tony and Bobby talk about how this is a huge message sent to Hulk Hogan, as Flair locks on the figure four leglock and refuses to release it, even as WCW's security team and trainers are all pleading with him to stop! (A) <em>This segment needed better announcing, but Flair came out of this looking excellent.</em><br /></li><li> Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, and Gene Okerlund close the show talking about how despicable Ric Flair and Sensuous Sherri are, but how there will be no running, hiding, or sneak attacks tomorrow night at Bash at the Beach! Tony and Gene are obviously talking about Flair, but Bobby says that goes for Hogan as well, prompting an argument with Gene as Tony signs off for this episode of WCW Saturday Night! © <em>Tony underperformed, Bobby looked good.</em><br /><em> Show Rating: B-. Now it's time for my loyal followers to decide what gets the A show treatment for week three. You can choose either Raw or Saturday Night to be written out. TFC has already given Saturday Night one vote.</p><p> </p><p> However, whatever is chosen will not be what show is posted next; Bash at the Beach is the next show, taking place on Sunday the 17th right after WCW Main Event. Heatwave also happened on Saturday the 16th... but it wasn't broadcast anywhere! To get those results, you will just have to tune into Eastern Championship Wrestling to find out who won each match! In the future, I will be doing a prediction contest, but I didn't feel that there was enough time for people to get predictions in line, so I didn't do that for this month.</p><p> </p><p> So get your voice heard! What do you think of the show so far? How do you like what you've seen? And most importantly, what show do you want to read in detail next? Thanks for following along!</p></div></blockquote>

That's fine btw. Most 90's shows were like that where it was a lot of clips from the PPV intermixed with speeches about what happened at the PPV, and a few squash matches. If you go the route of current (well, since the 10's) RAW's though, definitely give them full write-ups. That goes against your voting idea though.</p>

I'm trying to go for as much realism in atmosphere as possible, sometimes even against my own better judgment. At least with Saturday Night, it will always be booked post-event, which means their show will deal with what happened. Raw and ECW are taped before any event happens; meaning most post-event shows from them will not feature anything of major note because they can't trot any bragging winners or regretful losers out in front of an audience who hasn't gotten to see the show yet.</p>
