Highlights of Cage Rage 2016

A rivalry between two brothers that seems to have no end. Finally the two have agreed to a best of five series where the loser will leave 4C. The first match was a weapons match that saw both men become a bloody mess, but it was Jesse Gilbert that walked away with a victory. It is already an uphill battle for Joe falls behind 1-0.

Two time and current 4C Hardcore champion Nathaniel Ca$ino finishes a hard fought match that seems him gain a victory over Lightning Lomas to retain his title. He hasn't even been handed his title back when unfamiliar music hits and a new face emerges from the back.

K Strong: "Hey there, brother! I hope you aren't too used to having that title, jack, because I'm K Strong and next month I am going to run wild all over you, dude. And once the dust settles all of the fans here will start to cheer their new 4C Hardcore champion! K Strong! K Strong! K Stronnnnnnnnng!"

The main event of the evening saw a cage match between three time and current 4C Champion Frankie Dee defend against Too Hot who was looking to start his second reign as champion. A brutal back and forth bout between two of the top babyfaces of the company saw Frankie Dee retaining. Both men were having trouble standing once all is said and done and that is when the lights flickered and a large man seemingly coming out of nowhere to hit the ring and beat both men down in the ring.

Terry Smith: "Larry Wood! That madman hasn't been seen in years!"

Ted Ross: "He has just destroyed both Too Hot and Frankie Dee! And now he looks like he is trying to tear down the cage!"

Terry Smith: "Larry Wood is here and 4C may never be the same again!"

Larry shakes one of the sides of the cage. A bit sadistic smile on his face as he chews on one of the bars to the cage and things fade to black.

The Wild Man Returns

http://i.imgur.com/uKcBn6w.jpg

It has been several years, but one of the craziest wrestlers ever to come out of Canada made a big return at 4C's first show of 2016: Cage Rage. Larry Wood was once a staple in NOTBPW for many years in the tag ranks before his violent style and unhinged personality drew the attention of WEXXV where he performed until the end of 2012.

It was assumed Larry Wood was out of the wrestling business after that as he hasn't made any appearances since leaving Japan. No one would blame the man who at the time was well past the age of forty and spending the last few years in one of the more dangerous companies currently being operated.

To even more of a surprise not only is Larry Wood back in the ring, but soon after the show news leaked that Larry is also now head booker for 4C and has replaced Too Hot who has decided he needed a break. What Troy Winner has now in a booker is a great mind for the business and is specialized in the wild, hard core, style of matches that 4C is known for. Troy thinks with the change in booker that Larry Wood will be able to help the company grow and take 4C to the next level.

It isn't sure how much Larry plans to be in the ring as a competitor, but he is already earning his pay because on top of being a performer and head booker he was the head road agent. It has been confirmed Grant Truman was relieved of his duties of road agent and is no longer with the company. For now there is no word who might work as road agent during any matches Larry Wood is involved, but there are several talents capable of being able to help out. Many figure it will be Too Hot helping out.

Needless to say a new booker is often a big deal so 2016 could end up being a very interesting year for 4C as a whole.

A New Challenger Emerges

http://i.imgur.com/Z5vsuec.jpg

Larry Wood isn't the only new face in 4C to kick off the year. After Nathaniel Ca$ino successfully defended his 4C Hardcore Championship we got to see K Strong for the first time. Formerly known as K Squared, K Strong was once a promising young talent for CGC, but never managed to make headway in the company. He has since been performing and honing his craft and it seems now with a new name and gimmick he has arrived in 4C and inserting himself into the Hardcore Championship scene. K Strong is the first signing made by Larry Wood and given he will get a title shot early on it seems Wood has high hopes for K Strong.

Owner's Expectations

http://i.imgur.com/IU0x7EQ.jpg

While Troy Winner seems to completely trust Larry Wood as the new head booker it is being said that Winner has given a few guidelines for Larry to follow. To no surprise he wants to see 4C grow and he hasn't put any financial restraints on Larry. Troy is fine with not making profit at first if it means his company gets more popular. With bigger audiences will come bigger gates and he feels trying to tell Larry he must earn a profit right off the bat might hinder instead of help the company.

Most other rules seem to be related to hiring talent. Troy at this point is looking for younger talent as a whole and has told Larry to try and keep any new talents brought in to be no older than thirty-eight. Beyond that his only real restrictions seem to be Troy not wanting MMA influenced fighters hired or talents who have had trouble with the law in the past. The last one seemed to only cause a minor spat as Larry Wood was apparently interested in bringing back Slim V, but decided not to press the matter too much given he was just given the book and didn't want to start off on the wrong foot.

4C Announces Hall of Fame

http://i.imgur.com/WJ5aNfa.jpg

Just a few days before their next show 4C has opened a Hall of Fame on their webpage that pays tribute to the stars of 4C that have moved on or retired. As of right now only two names have been added.

The first entry is Antonio Del Veccio. ADV wrestled for 4C for about five years, but in that time he became one of the top names of the promotion. His time in 4C saw him capture the 4C Hardcore championship once and the 4C Championship three times. ADV left the company back in 2014 to join CGC where he is continuing to find success.

The second entry added was Jacob Jett. Jett spent nine years in 4C honing his craft and wowing fans with his amazing moves. Many of the cruiserweights in 4C and trainees at the 4C Combat Academy list Jett as one of their big influences when they got into wrestling as well. Jett was a one time 4C Tag Team Champion with Daryl Devine and a three time 4C Champion. Jett left back in 2013 and moved on to the prestigious NOTBPW where he has been a one time NOTBPW Television champion and continues to find success.

Other names apparently have been discussed on being added, but for now have not been added. It has not been said if this will be a yearly deal where they add inductions or they will just induct people when they feel the time is right.

Voeltzwagon and a CVerse Dynasty, wouldn't miss it for the world! Although not familiar with the Canadian scene (kudos for putting Jacob Jett in the HoF, he's drawn my eye north of the border more than once) I'll tag along for the ride.

Frankie Dee and Too Hot vs Sayeed Ali and Larry Wood

Opponents over the main title last month means their team is bound to implode. Sayeed Ali needs the big win and momentum and it would also look bad for LW to lose in his debut 4C match.

4C Hardcore Championship: Nathaniel Ca$ino © vs K Strong

Champ retains, K Strong needs some momentum before he picks up the title. This is probably the beginning of a feud over the strap.

Best of 5 Series Match #2: Tables Match

Joe Gilbert (0 Wins) vs Jesse Gilbert (1 Win)

Expecting the 0-2 here, going into a 2-2 before the dramatic final match.

No clue about the rest of the card and I'm at work so I can't check the game's database atm so I'll pass.

Terry Smith: "We are a month removed from the return of the madman Larry Wood and tonight we will see him in action for the first time in years. Can't get much better than that, partner."

Ted Ross: "We also have the debut of K Strong who will look to capture gold in his first match here in 4C. We will also get match two of the Gilbert's best of five series."

Terry Smith: "A tables match at that. Just a note for you folks new to 4C. We are fast paced and hard hitting and referee Andy Gordy leaves most of the rules out the window and lets this boys fight."

Ted Ross: "If you see a man disqualified here it has to be pretty bad folks. Certainly don't hold your breath hoping to see one."

Terry Smith: "Looks like are ready to go with our first match of the night. Two youngsters looking to make their mark and climb up the ladder."

Ted Ross: "Just to clarify not an actual ladder in this case."

Terry Smith: "Hold up. It looks like those boys might have to wait. Unless they really want to deal with who is heading to the ring right now."

http://i.imgur.com/Ew2OExn.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/uKcBn6w.jpg

The rather menacing duo of Sayeed Ali and Larry Wood make their way in the ring. Larry gets rather threatening with some of the more vocal fans, but Ali manages to wrangle the wild man into the ring before getting in himself with mic in the hand.

Sayeed Ali: "Yo, last month I told you all I am tired of playing games. I am tired of being denied a title shot and you thought 4C was unsafe to begin with then welcome to hell now, dawg. We got a madman on the loose and there ain't shit any of you all can do to stop him."

Larry Wood: "Limbs will be broken. Flesh will be torn and heroes will be sacrificed. When we are done there will be nothing left but two lifeless husks. I can smell your fear and I will savor the taste of your blood."

Sayeed Ali: "Frankie Dee. Hope you liked your little title reign because this is the beginning of the end. Bitch, we gonna break you in half along with Too Hot and we'll bury your asses out back. Come on, man."

Ali manages to get Larry out of the ring and corral him towards the back without any fans getting attacked.

Rating: 53

Terry Smith: "I don't want to be in the shoes of Frankie Dee or Too Hot right now."

Ted Ross: "I would imagine them not to fit well since they are both bigger than you."

Terry Smith: "Ted....shut up. You know what I meant. Now let us finally get to our first match of the evening."

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/7SWYKQo.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/Oo3AVvJ.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/VTuRJAB.jpg

Zak Attack vs Shiva

A very short match with Shiva blindsiding Zak and keeping him grounded with stiff strikes. Very little offense is shown from Zak and Shiva seems to shrug off most of it before putting Zak away with a big roundhouse to the head.

Winner: Shiva

Rating: 31

Terry Smith: "Executioner's Kick from Shiva and another win. Not a bad start to this year for him."

Ted Ross: "He has looked pretty dominant so far too which is impressive. Have to keep in mind he has only been in his business a little over a year."

Thunder & Lightning vs Preston Fuller and Mosher

The most decorated team in 4C taking on two youngsters who have never teamed before. Despite that Mosher and Preston do have a few moments where they get some offense in, but the experience of T&L is just too much in the long run. Mosher is soon disposed of and Preston Fuller falls victim to Thunder Struck.

Winners: Thunder & Lightning

T&L has little time to celebrate when the 4C Tag Team champions emerge giving a slow clap to the victors.

Morgan Malone: "Bravo. You beat a guy that belongs at a Korn concert and uh....that other guy."

Hudson Drake: "So bland we don't even remember his name! But here we are having to face you two bozos AGAIN. Are you two every going to give up?"

Morgan Malone: "Yeah. I mean both times we have won these titles we beat your asses from corner to corner. Face it. You just can't beat us."

Hudson Drake: "But we are good guys so we'll give you a shot next month. Just don't expect the result to be different than last time. Enjoy your win, suckers."

Rating: 33

Terry Smith: "Big title match next month for sure. The champs do make a valid point. Of all the teams Thunder and Lightning have defeated here in 4C it really seems Drake and Malone have their number."

Ted Ross: "They do? Wonder if they can pass Jason's number to me. I had a question to ask him about-"

Terry Smith: "Enough!"

Robin Newman vs Eric Blackley

Newman is the poor soul that takes on the King of Dillo Smuggling known as Eric Blackley. Robin tries his best, but he is just outclassed in this case. Eric toys with Robin quite a bit but eventually puts the young man away with the Flying Verticle Splash.

Winner: Eric Blackley

Rating: 37

Terry Smith: "Impressive win for Blackley. He has been looking impressive these past few months and he seems to be waiting for the right time to make his move and challenge for the top prize here in 4C."

Ted Ross: "As if Dee didn't have enough to worry about. Even if he somehow survives the likes of Larry Wood and Sayeed Ali he has another tough challenger in Blackley."

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

Chris Flynn vs Leftie Wilkes

A very even match with each man looking as if they are giving it all to one up their opponent. Some good back and forth action that ends up in the crowd. Wilkes gets an advantage when he takes Flynn down with a big chair shot across his back. He gets Flynn back to the ring and piles on more punishment. Despite this he just grows frustrated because he can't get the three count. Flynn starts to fight back and his momentum is stopped by a cheap shot. Wilkes looks like he is ready to try and end things for good, but gets caught in the Flynn-lock by surprise. Wilkes struggles, but can't break free. He soon taps before he passes out from the hold.

Winner: Chris Flynn

Rating: 50

Terry Smith: "Damn fine match. Both men wanted to win that one. Quick thinking on Flynn there to surprise Leftie Wilkes with the Flynn-lock."

Ted Ross: "It has been great to see these two compete over the years. They both have been here for around the same time and have clashed plenty over the years. Each time it just seems to get better and crazier."

The champ takes it to K Strong early and K Strong bails once Ca$ino looks ready to bring some plunder into play. The challenger certainly tries to keep it more a regular match though doesn't seem to be against using a chair or the like to help him out when Ca$ino starts to build momentum. More back and forth action until K Strong catches the champ coming off the top rope with the Special K and scores a pinfall to the surprise of many.

The champ raises the belt high as he stands in the ring and asks for a microphone once he has caught his breath.

K Strong: "I told you, dudes! K Strong is here in 4C and no one is going to keep me from running wild! Brother, if you want a rematch any place or any time."

Ted Ross: "You know...K Strong really reminds me of someone. I feel nostalgic just seeing him."

Terry Smith: ".....you're kidding me, right?"

Joe Gilbert vs Jesse Gilbert

It should probably be no surprise both brothers work well as opponents. Perhaps even better opponents than partners. They just have great timing on everything they do and it makes the match more exciting. Several big spots teasing that a table break will happen with each brother somehow avoiding it at the last moment. Jesse's luck just run's out first when he mistimes a move and Joe sends him to the outside and through a table that was set up.

Terry Smith: "Sibling rivalry taken to the extreme. The Gilbert brothers used to be so close but now it seems the only way things will be settled is when the loser is forced out of 4C.

Ted Ross: "This makes me glad I am an only child. Could you imagine me having a twin I had to compete with here in the booth?"

Terry Smith: "I really wish I never did. But after mentioning it I have and I am horrified that I could have been dealing with two of you."

Rajah vs Hugh de Aske with Katie Cameron

Another even contest that could have been more on sided if not for the fact Rajah seemed more intent trying to impress Katie than winning the actual match. His showboating costs him several times as he would either not pin Hugh at all or his antics would cost precious seconds that may have allowed him to get the three count. He even goes as far to get out of the ring and try to approach Katie, but he gets shoved away and into the awaiting arms of Hugh who had recovered and gotten behind the veteran. Cut-Throat Driver on the outside! He rolls Rajah in and hits a second one for extra measure and picks up a big win.

Terry Smith: "Not sure what Rajah was thinking, but it clearly cost him this match."

Ted Ross: "He was thinking with the wrong head. I can't argue that Katie is a good looking lady, but there is a time to try and impress her and a time to get the job done in the ring."

Terry Smith: "This is a rare moment I will agree with you, Ted."

Ted Ross: "Horray!"

Frankie Dee and Too Hot come to the ring. Even the usually jovial looking Too Hot has his game face on when he grabs the mic. The champ just stands in the corner with his eyes fixated on the entrance ramp as his partner speaks.

Too Hot: "Big man Sayeed Ali. Talking game then finding some crazy ass dude to come and take us out because you can't do the job yourself. You got us good last month, but you see this time we are fresh and you aren't jumping us from behind. You both talk a big game, but you can see neither of us are scared. So stop lurking around in back and come get your asses kicked!"

Rating: 46

Terry Smith: "Not often we see Too Hot worked up like that. Looks like he means business."

Ted Ross: "Look at the eyes of Frankie Dee. I don't think he has even blinked. The champ is in the zone and ready to deliver some payback."

Terry Smith: "It is main event time and it is about to get crazy!"

Frankie Dee and Too Hot vs Sayeed Ali and Larry Wood

This is nowhere near a match and more of a big brawl that spills out into the crowd and all over the arena. Even more impressive is at forty-seven years old Larry Wood seems to be able to keep up with the other three men. Eventually things return to the ring after several minutes, but at that point Larry Wood is covered in blood which may or may not be his since he is carrying Frankie Dee who has been busted open. He and Ali look to put away the champ, but Too Hot manages to get back in the ring with chair in hand and starts delivering stiff shots to both opponents. Ali falls out of the ring, but Wood just bounces off the ropes and delivers a big boot to the face of Too Hot and knocks him out cold. Wood licks his lips and wipes at the blood on his face before dropping down to pin Too Hot.

Winners: Sayeed Ali and Larry Wood

Terry Smith: "There was nothing pretty about that match and that was to be expected. As much as I like the champ and Too Hot this was not a good match for them."

Ted Ross: "Larry Wood has been out of the ring for years, but it didn't show. I wonder if he found the fountain of youth."

Terry Smith: "Think maybe bathing in the blood of his enemies is what does it?"

Ted Ross: "No, that is just silly. Don't be silly."

Terry Smith: "......anyways. That is it for tonight, folks. We'll be in Quebec next month for Final Fight. Be sure to catch us then!"

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

Side Notes:

- Katie Cameron has been switched over to being Hugh de Aske's valet/manager as Chris Flynn last month suggested he no longer be paired up with her. He feels there is no chemistry between them and she would be better off with someone else.

- Aside from the main event it seems Larry Wood handled all road agent duties again. For the main event itself he left things in the hands of Rajah.

- The overall feeling was the show did well, but there was more expected of the main event. Too Hot was a bit of a weak link and despite his age Larry Wood performed well and was only starting to show signs of fatigue near the end. There was also no real chemistry between Too Hot and Frankie Dee as partners so don't be too surprised if they do not team up again.

(Un)Popular Opinion?

http://i.imgur.com/AhF1NZs.jpg

Rumors are stirring that Larry Wood has been encouraging the veterans of 4C to be open with him on their opinions on what goes on under the madman's watch. For Clutch McKane this might not be a good thing. It seems Rajah isn't too impressed with the young worker and has told Larry he should consider letting Clutch go. Rajah feels the youngster doesn't bring much to the table and even if the company needs job guys there could be better options. It is uncertain if Rajah has much influence, but he is the oldest performer on the roster behind Larry Wood and isn't usually one to speak up on such matters. As of right now Clutch is still under contract and is expected to appear at Final Fight. Clutch did not wrestle at X Factor, but was on the losing end when he and his tag partner TJ Bailey failed to capture the tag team titles.

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

Important Pieces

http://i.imgur.com/VQ8LOgQ.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/5Br6nRi.jpg

Speaking of contracts it looks like Larry Wood has been busy securing what he considers two important members of the 4C roster. Current 4C champion Frankie Dee has extended his deal for an undisclosed amount of time and has gotten a pay raise. He is considered one of the top talents and pretty much has a job for life in 4C until he decides to move on.

Nathaniel Ca$ino has also signed a new contract that will see him remain with the company for the foreseeable future. It seems his title loss was due to the fact he was currently in negotiations and agreed to drop the title just in case both sides couldn't work out a deal. Nathaniel is scheduled for a rematch with K Strong at the next show so it will be interesting if he will get his third reign as Hardcore champion or K Strong is given a chance to show he can be a plausible champ.

With both men signed it seems contracts are all taken care of for now and it will be a few months before Larry Wood will have to worry about resigning talent.

Looking to Impress the Ladies or Management?

http://i.imgur.com/jT620Hb.jpg

Hugh de Aske has been working hard on his physique in recent months. Since arriving 4C he has been steadily rising up the card and it looks like he is working extra hard to show he is ready for the next step. While 4C's more violent nature means there are less female fans than other companies, but Hugh has been one of the favorites among the ones they do have. His now more toned look seems to just be drawing their attention more. Of course it also could be his way of trying to get noticed by other companies and find more work. Either way it isn't exactly going to hurt his stock to be in better shape.

Terry Smith: "Hello everyone and welcome to another action packed night as we bring you Final Fight. This is Terry Smith once again with Ted Ross. The assassins have failed again."

Ted Ross: "Oh Terry, you are so funny. The war between the Gilbert brothers continues with a first blood match, we have Frankie Dee defending against Larry Wood and....wow. There is so much!"

Terry Smith: "A personal favorite of mine tonight will be Sayeed Ali facing off with Chris Flynn. Flynn has looked very good as of late, but he is facing off against the self proclaimed king of 4C."

Ted Ross: "The question is what if Ali and Larry both win? Is that a conflict of interest since they seem to be working together?"

Terry Smith: "I am a bit scared you asked a good question. I suppose the only way is to see what happens tonight. If they turn on one another.....wow. I am unsure if 4C could handle the bloodbath. We got our first match set to go and.....hey who is that with Shiva?"

Clutch McKane vs Shiva with Ted Ross' New Obsession

Whoever the mystery woman is she seems to have Shiva even motivated than normal. His offense is brutal and Clutch is overwhelmed from the start. Big kicks and elbow strikes rock Clutch about and he is quickly put to rest with an Executioner's Kick.

Winner: Shiva

Terry Smith: "What a q-"

Ted Ross: "SILENCE! THE LADY WISHES TO SPEAK AND I WANT TO HEAR HER!"

The woman gets in the ring with microphone in hand. She raises the hand of Shiva once more who stands at her side in a stoic manner.

TRO: "Ladies and gentlemen. I don't expect you to know me now, but before long you will come to love me or hate me. My name is Roxy and I find myself drawn to this man."

She slips an arm around Shiva and sort of snakes about. Ted Ross begins to sweat.

Roxy: "I have an eye for talent and this man has it in spades. You may laugh, but can you deny his ability? I am going to take him. I will mold him....I will make him champion."

Roxy licks Shiva's ear and winks to the crowd before leading her client to the back. Ted has loosened his tie at this point.

Ted Ross: "Nothing! Wow what a....yeah what a performance by Shiva huh? Ah hah hah!"

Terry Smith: "This is really creepy. Can we move on?"

Leftie Wilkes vs TJ Bailey

It is TJ in a singles match so even the fans pretty much expect the outcome here, but even so the two men do put on a good match. TJ certainly gets more offense in than his partner did last match, but that isn't saying much. He gets a little offense going on early, but Leftie starts to build momentum and doesn't ever really look back. Leftie ends up being too much for TJ to overcome and the tag team specialist gets put away with the Boston Whiplash.

Winner: Leftie Wilkes

Terry Smith: "Nice win there by Leftie. He really improving and it has been a treat seeing him evolve through the years."

Ted Ross: "You said evolve. Makes me think of Pokemon. What kind do you think he is? I bet he is-"

Terry Smith: "Stop! Stop! STOP!"

The tag champions come out looking ready for their match. They don't seem to be worried about facing 4C's most decorated team in just mere moments. They let Isabella hold their titles while each man takes a microphone.

Hudson Drake: "Warning, the supposed incoming storm calls for Thunder and Lightning, buuuuut it is going to be a drizzle that won't even give us the sniffles."

Morgan Malone: "Like we said last time. Thunder and Lightning can't beat us. They may be five time 4C tag team champions, but that means they also lost them five times."

Hudson Drake: "And guess what? Twice they lost it to us!"

The two share a laugh with Isabella.

Morgan Malone: "Anywaaaaaays! We are going to beat those bozos again tonight and show we are the dominant tag team around here. Heck you know I hear next month the COTT tag champs are coming here. Maybe we should take those titles too."

Hudson Drake: "I like the way you think. So we will lay down that challenge now! We might need to get a wagon or something to hold all our titles. But first thing is first! Come on how, Thunder and Lightning, we need to get rid of you boys first."

Rating: 38

Hudson Drake & Morgan Malone with Isabella Encanta vs Thunder & Lightning

What is the best way to counter the smooth ring work of an expert tag team like Thunder & Lightning? A lot of cheating and Isabella Encanta as a distraction. Hudson and Malone can wrestle and do well, but they are more than fine to cut corners and keep one up on T&L. The former champs do well despite all this and come close several times to capturing their sixth 4C tag team championship, but Isabella gets involved once last time and trips up Lomas when he was looking to climb the ropes for a high risk move. Hudson also has taken one of the titles and takes out Jason Thunder with it leaving Morgan Malone to put Lomas away and score the pin.

Ted Ross: "I believe Thunder and Lightning will get another title, but they will just have to wait."

Too Hot vs Preston Fuller

Preston Fuller uses his size and power advantage to get the jump on Too Hot early. A few big power moves leads to Too Hot being thrown from the ring and Preston sort of poses to show off. He hasn't done as much damage as he thought because Too Hot recovers quickly and fights back. This is a case where experience is a key factor. Too Hot may be smaller, but he is much quicker. And well size doesn't exactly matter once Preston is nailed with the Heat Seeking Missile. He is out cold once that connects.

Winner: Too Hot

Ted Ross: "I...I think I saw Roxy watching that match from afar."

Terry Smith: "Why would she do that? Shiva has no involvement. You are seeing things. Try to focus on the show."

Ted Ross: "I am! Too Hot had a good match and Preston had some signs showing he is going to turn out into a good talent. He just needs seasoning."

Rajah vs Zak Attack

A bit brief, but exciting match. Rajah is still moving pretty good for a man approaching forty and Zak has some impressive high flying moves he gets to show off. Much in the case of last match it is experience playing a big factor. Of course Rajah also putting Zak through a table helps. There isn't really isn't a chance Zak recovers after that and Rajah hits Zak with the VIP Pass for extra measure.

Winner: Rajah

Rating: 48

Terry Smith: "Rajah has been a bit quiet as of late. I think he is biding his time to see what happens in the main event before picking his moment."

Ted Ross: "He might just wait until Dee, Ali and Larry and well...whoever all just destroy one another and he can pick their bones."

Terry Smith: "Talented and smart. That is why he is a former 4C champion afterall."

http://i.imgur.com/5Br6nRi.jpg

Nathaniel Ca$ino comes to the ring With hat pulled down low and looking as if he has something on his mind. He motions for a microphone before climbing into the ring and he looks up and slowly gazes around the crowd a moment before speaking.

Nathaniel Ca$ino: "Last month I was dealt a bad hand and I admit it. So now it is time to double down and get back what I lost. K Strong, I have faced you and now I can see what makes you tick. I call whatever bluff you might try to make tonight and you should just fold right now and hand that title back to me."

K Strong © vs Nathaniel Ca$ino

It isn't exactly a repeat of last month's match, but it is damn similar. It helps they are in front of a different crowd, but there is a feeling of deja vu. K Strong once again is trying to keep it more like a regular wrestling match while the former champ is more than fine trying to get weapons involved. Momentum shifts a few times and both men come close to winning. Also much like last time it is Ca$ino being surprised by a Special K out of nowhere that lays him out.

Winner and Still Champion: K Strong (Defenses: 1)

Rating: 45

Terry Smith: "K Strong makes his first defense in another hard fought match with Casino."

Ted Ross: "I am not sure if Casino underestimated the champ again or if he just got dealt another bad hand as he would say. Then again he isn't saying much of anything after getting his jaw jacked."

Terry Smith: "Shall be interesting to see how long K Strong can hold that title and who might be in line for a shot next."

Joe Gilbert vs Jesse Gilbert

The brothers both bring their favored weapon (hockey stick of course) to the ring with them and start going at it. The pace is quick and both men look to strike early to try and draw blood. Both hockey sticks are broken in the process and the pair start to use the splintered ends to stab one another. The fight spills to the outside and of all things it isn't the broken sticks that draw blood. Jessie manages to duck a charge and Joe hits hard on the corner of the ring. He gets busted open from that and Andy Gordy quickly calls for the bell.

Winner: Jessie Gilbert (Jessie leads series 2-1)

Rating: 42

Terry Smith: "That was bad luck on Joe's part. Jessie wasn't even the one that really did it, but that is the rules. Joe bled first so he loses."

Ted Ross: "That puts Joe in a bad position. One more loss and he is out of 4C. That means he will have to do something neither brother has been able to do so far and that is to win two matches in a row."

Terry Smith: "Next month they will fight it out in the Chaos Cage. There will be plenty of weapons at their disposal there and we may see the end of Joe Gilbert."

Eric Blackley vs Hugh de Aske with Katie Cameron

A nice match between two talents that are trying to break through and earn a shot at the 4C Championship. Both men seem evenly matched and that makes for a nice back and forth swing in momentum, though Eric finally seems to gain more control after the first few minutes. He starts to string together some big moves, but can only keep getting two counts. A trashcan gets involved and he tries to stuff Hugh into it. Hugh fights back and ends up dropkicking the trashcan into Eric's face. It gives Hugh a chance to recover and start to make a comeback. A thumb to the eye stalls it for a moment, but Eric can't regain the control he had earlier in the match. Hugh begins rolling and manages to finally put Eric away with a Cut Throat Driver.

Winner: Hugh de Aske

Terry Smith: "Nice match there. You can tell both men really wanted that victory."

Ted Ross: "Well of course. I mean why would one really want the loss?"

Terry Smith: ".....I need to remember what I say around you. This match could really have title implications later on. Another could win or two and Hugh could perhaps be facing off against Frankie Dee."

Ted Ross: "Or after tonight perhaps facing Larry Wood."

Chris Flynn vs Sayeed Ali

This match by far ends up being the best one yet and nothing has come close to it. Chris is showing how far he has come since becoming the first graduate of the 4C Combat Academy by taking it to one of the biggest, baddest guys on the roster in Sayeed Ali. It is a vicious and brutal match that also has its moments of good wrestling. Neither man is shy about bringing in chairs or anything else they can get their hands on for weapons. Ali is getting frustrated the longer the match goes on as well. He keeps thinking he has Flynn beaten only to get a two count or find Flynn somehow getting a rush of adrenaline to fight back. It is a valiant effort, but Ali just ends up being too much. Several vicious chair shots are delivered and bust open Flynn. Ali makes a throat cutting motion then delivers the GBH Driver onto the dented chair.

Winner: Sayeed Ali

Ali doesn't even celebrate. He is already calling for a mic and it seems Larry Wood is coming out to join him.

Sayeed Ali: "This is what happens to punks that get in my way? I busted his punk ass up. Just how this crazy son of a bitch is going to take about Frankie Dee like we did last month. And Dee? Somehow you get past this ************ I am coming for your ass next month. Hope you have written up your will because we are going to bury your ass!"

Rating: 47

Terry Smith: "Sayeed Ali is all worked up and he means business."

Ted Ross: "Come on we have to talk about it. Chris Flynn put up a damn good fight. That has to factor into why Ali is in such a rage right now."

Terry Smith: "No doubt about it. Flynn has shown he can hang with the most dangerous man in 4C and for that he has my respect. Now it is main event time. Can Frankie D survive this encounter with Larry Wood?"

Ted Ross: "I have no idea. I feel like we should start keeping a tarp handy for some of these matches."

Frankie Dee © vs Larry Wood

The last match is hard to top and while both men do try they don't come even close. The violence is there. Both men are heavy hitters, but Larry is a bit limited in other aspects. Even so he still moves great for a man that is turning forty-eight this month and is also a rather large fellow. It is just more the longer the match wears on the more winded he is starting to look. That might be what saves Frankie Dee because overall he is just overmatched in both size and strength. It takes some big kicks to daze Larry and even the Shinanju Kick isn't enough to down the big man. Dee locks on the Dragon Sleeper and Larry tries to shake him off. It is futile and the big man falls to one knee and then eventually falls over. Beaten and bloody Frankie Dee keeps that vice like grip on until Andy Gordy calls for the bell.

Winner and Still Champion: Frankie Dee (Defenses: 5)

Rating: 49

Terry Smith: "He did it! Frankie Dee managed to take down the madman!"

Ted Ross: "Larry Wood took everything Dee could throw at him, but in the end he just couldn't break free from the Dragon Sleeper. Not only that he didn't tap. That just shows how tough the man is. He rather pass out than give up."

Terry Smith: "Frankie Dee survives, but now he has to look towards next month. It is going to be Frankie Dee vs Sayeed Ali and folks....you aren't going to want to miss it."

Ted Ross: "Think Roxy will be back next month?"

Terry Smith: "Of course she will. And wipe that creepy smile off your face. We'll catch you next month when we return to Ontario for the Wrestling Showcase!"

Final Rating: 50

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

- Many expected Ali and Flynn to be good, but they went above and beyond what was expected and delivered the match of the night. No one came close and it is said both men were given a big hug by Larry Wood after the show.

- Of course after a match like that the main event fell a bit flat. Not horrible by any stretch it was a bit too long of a match for Larry Wood to be working. It is noted he apparently is trying to lose weight to see if that helps with his conditioning, but at his age that isn't always the easiest thing to do.

- The show did have a lot of filler, but Larry Wood was really wanting to see what some of the younger talents had to offer by facing off with some of the 4C mainstays.

- There was a dark match before the event that featured Mosher defeating Robin Newman in a rather short match.

Booker's Birthday

http://i.imgur.com/uKcBn6w.jpg

Just three months into his tenure as full time booker of 4C, Larry Wood celebrated his forty-eighth birthday in grand fashion. Seems several old friends and current 4C stars gathered for a rather wild night out. It is to be said Larry is looking forward to wrestling to at least fifty before reassessing his career. He is looking to continue losing weight in hopes it will help lengthen his career even further and his time in 4C has reminded him how much he was missing the business during his time away.

To celebrate his birthday Larry Wood is looking to do an Ask Me Anything for fans that have questions about his long career, his hiatus or his short time in 4C.

Injury Scare

http://i.imgur.com/yKUMD0o.jpg

The first real injury scare of the year happened at Final Fight during the tag team championship match. Morgan Malone suffered an ankle injury near the end of the match and fought through the pain. It appears it isn't a major injury, but it is said both Troy Winner and Larry Wood are going to take precaution as they both see Morgan one of the big stars of 4C in the coming years. Both Malone and Hudson Drake were penciled in to take on The Ring Generals at the next show, but it is felt plans might change in the coming weeks depending on Malone's recovery.

http://i.imgur.com/6KwDkRa.jpg

Final Fight marked the debut of new 4C manager, Roxy Kitten. Roxy is an ex wrestler for Babes of Sin City and transitioned to being a manager after the company has closed down. While not well known in Canada, Larry Wood wanted someone that was a good talker to be at the side of Shiva. It is said Larry Wood thinks highly of the youth, but sees some weaknesses when it comes to parts other than wrestling. Shiva might not be the only client as it is said Roxy has been considered a manager for some other young talents in need.

Conservative 4C?!

http://i.imgur.com/WJ5aNfa.jpg

There has been a lot of hype in recent years that Troy Winner is wanting to be more than just a regional promotion. While quite popular in Ontario and Quebec, 4C is still not well known around the rest of Canada. As much as Troy wishes to compete with the likes of CGC and NOTBPW he has been keeping track of the landscape where wrestling popularity is close to an all time low and a bad economy has meant all companies in Canada are suffering right now. Even a powerhouse like NOTBPW is struggling and changing the contracts of several of their lower card talents while releasing others. CGC for the most part seems to be keeping their course steady without any big changes. It is expected Troy Winner will continue to keep 4C active in Ontario and Quebec and play it safe until it seems things are on an upswing.

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

OOC: Probably will post a card for April's event here in awhile. If anyone is amused by the idea of asking Larry Wood a question for his AMA feel free to either post here or PM it to me if you rather no one else see it. Will take questions until Tuesday where I will probably post the AMA before the show proper.

Mosher vs Preston Fuller vs Clutch McKane vs Shiva with Roxy

The match is a bit frantic with four men in the ring at once. Bodies are going everywhere and for the most part it is hard to tell who may have an advantage. Preston Fuller is dumped out at one point and Roxy stops him from getting back in. A conversation happens between the two before Fuller just nods and gets back in the ring. He takes out Clutch and Mosher and looks to be helping Shiva. He tosses Mosher out of the ring then lays out McKane and motions for Shiva to finish McKane off. Shiva obliges and delivers a Executioner's kick then gets the pinfall.

Preston Fuller leaves the ring and Roxy whispers something in his ear. He just smirks and heads to the back before Roxy joins Shiva in the ring.

Roxy: "I give to you the hottest sensation in 4C today. Shiva will continue to dominate and no one will be able to stop him. And in fact I think I have a grand plan. Come on, baby. We got some business to discuss."

K Strong © vs TJ Bailey

The fans don't seem too into the match. For being a hardcore match the two men really aren't breaking out weapons or even doing a whole lot of brawling. Instead the two are having more of a proper wrestling match that K Strong controls the majority of. TJ gets some offense in here and there, but it is never enough to become a big threat to the champ. K Strong picks up another win by nailing TJ with Special K.

Hudson Drake: "So instead Thunder and Lightning get a shot? That is some dumb shit right there. They are sub par. They are LOSERS!"

Morgan Malone: "This is grade A conspiracy stuff. I am so calling out Troy Winner on this. Come on Hudson, Isabella. We got better things to do than watch this crap."

Ted Ross: "Hudson isn't exactly the biggest guy, but also why is there a weight rule? You can't deny talent. They are annoying, but they are our champs."

Terry Smith: "I am going to have to dig into this and see if there really is a weight limit."

The Ring Generals © vs Thunder and Lightning

Given this is a COTT match it is a standard rule set instead of the usual anything goes matches 4C is more known for. Despite that handicap the two teams deliver a great match and still manage to get the fans into it. Several close calls on both sides and The Ring Generals actually think they won it at one point, but the referee caught Lightning Lomas' foot on the rope and ordered the match to continue. More close pins, but Lomas makes the hot tag. Jason Thunder clears the ring and T&L start to roll. Dean Waldorf eats a big dropkick that sends him out of the ring and Marv Statler is stunned by a big kick. THUNDERSTRUCK on Marv and one three count later there are new COTT Tag Team Champions.

Winners and NEW COTT Tag Team Champions: Thunder & Lightning

Rating: 51

Terry Smith: "Thunder and Lightning did it! They just brought the COTT tag titles to 4C."

Ted Ross: "Horray! We got two tag teams with belts now."

Terry Smith: "Makes you wonder what the result would have been if Malone and Drake were in this match instead."

Ted Ross: "Fair gripe. Maybe Drake should start eating more and we can find out."

Nathaniel Ca$ino vs Robin Newman

Ca$ino is looking to reverse his recent streak of bad luck and it looks like he found the perfect opponent for that. Robin shows promise, but he is just outmatched by the former hardcore champ. Ca$ino pretty much controls the whole match and is almost toying with Robin at times. He puts Robin away finally with a Double or Nothing for the win.

Winner: Nathaniel Ca$ino

Rating: 36

Terry Smith: "Casino manages to pick up a win there. I have to believe he is wanting another shot at K Strong."

Ted Ross: "Well he lost two in a row so I can't see him getting a rematch soon."

Terry Smith: "This is very true. It takes more than a single win, but that is a start at least.

Eric Blackley vs Zak Attack

A bit similar to the last match, but more competitive. Zak Attack does get some offense in and actually has momentum at the start of the match. That is until he eats a trashcan lid to the face when he was leaping out of the ring at Eric. Blackley quickly looks to get control. He stuffs Zak in the trashcan and he delivers a running dropkick to it. Zak gets rolled back into the ring and then falls victim to the Flying Verticle Splash.

Winner: Eric Blackley

Rating: 43

Terry Smith: "Nice try by Zak Attack, but Eric was just too much."

Ted Ross: "I still think his tights are the most dangerous foreign object in the company. Just look!"

Terry Smith: "I try not to look, Ted. It is terrifying stuff."

Joe Gilbert vs Jesse Gilbert

Another brutal match featuring the Gilbert brothers. This time in a cage filled with weapons. There is even a kitchen sink off to the side that sadly never gets used. Little wrestling happens in this match with both men throwing whatever they have at one another. Joe isn't having the greatest of luck until he gets hold of a hockey stick and nails Jesse between the legs with it. He breaks the steak over Jesse's head then uses the half still in his hands to choke out Jesse to the point the referee has to call the match.

Winner: Joe Gilbert (Series tied 2-2)

Rating: 46

Terry Smith: "Joe Gilbert stays alive with a big win right there."

Ted Ross: "That means next month this will finally be settled. One Gilbert will remain with 4C and the other will fired."

Terry Smith: "It will be a strange day when that happens, but it may be the only way this feud can be settled."

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/uKcBn6w.jpg

Larry Wood stomps towards the ring. He makes some verbal exchanges with fans and almost looks to go after one before security manages to keep Larry at bay. He finally gets to the ring and calls for a microphone.

Larry Wood: "Chris Flynn. I hope you find today a good day to die, because I am going to tear your head off and shit down your throat."

He then tosses the microphone off into the crowd and screams for Chris to come out.

Rating: 45

Larry Wood vs Chris Flynn

To no surprise Larry attacks Chris as he is getting into the ring and starts tossing him about. He sends Chris back to the outside and follows him out while grabbing a chair. Chris ducks the shot and starts to fire back with some rights. The two spill over the guardrail and end up fighting through the crowd. Larry tries to get a table set up, but he is stopped when Chis nails him in the back with a chair. He goes for another, but Larry punches the chair away and starts to strangle Chris. The two eventually make it back to ringside and Larry has Chris looking like a bloody mess. He rolls Chris in the ring then waits for him to stand. Larry goes for the big boot, but Chris ducks and grabs Larry to pull him into a surprise pin. Larry starts to lose his shit as Chris slips out of the ring to safety. Andy Gordy has to bail out too to avoid being attacked by the irate madman.

Rajah and Leftie Wilkes vs Hugh de Ask with Katie Cameron and Too Hot

A good tag match between four men that really never team with one another. Despite that they work well enough to put together a good coherent match that sees a nice back and forth with each side getting to show off what they can do. Rajah and Leftie just have the advantage they are willing to cheat to get ahead and it pays off well for them. Leftie dives out onto Hugh leaving Rajah to over a tired Too Hot. He nails the VIP Pass and Hugh can't get to his partner in time to break the pin.

Winners: Rajah and Leftie Wilkes

Rating: 55

Terry Smith: "Fine match there between four of our best."

Ted Ross: "I sometimes wonder if Too Hot should change his name to Too Nice. I have seen Hugh show a mean streak, but Too Hot I think rather dance with the fans instead of fight."

Terry Smith: Well he is a former tag team and 4C champion. You can't be Too Nice to accomplish that."

Frankie Dee © vs Sayeed Ali

Hard hitting match with neither man backing down. Ali has a size advantage, but it doesn't seem to be helping him as much as one may think. Dee draws first blood with a running knee to the side of Ali's head. This only seems to piss off Ali more and he starts to brutalize Dee before going out of the ring to drag out a chain and wraps it around a fist. He lays into Dee a few times and busts him open too, but then starts to get cocky and showboat. Dee is dazed, but he recovers enough to spear Ali to the ground and starts to rain down punches. The match drags on though it never really has a lull in the fact both men are doing their best to destroy the other. Ali just seems to have more in the tank in the end. They are trading punches when Ali finally knees Dee hard in the stomach and picks him up. Dee struggles, but still gets laid out by the GBH Driver. Another title changes hands as Ali raises a hand in victory.

Winner and NEW 4C Champion: Sayeed Ali (4th Reign)

Rating: 61

A battered and bloodied Ali asks for a mic and holds his title up high for all to see.

Sayeed Ali: "I told all you ************s that I would make this title mine. In the land of 4C I am king and the sooner you all realize that and bow before me the better. You thought the last few times I held this it was bad? You have seen nothing yet. The path of destruction I create will be the shit legends are made of and you all will witness as I take each of your heroes and put them in a ****ing grave. ALL HAIL THE KING OF 4C!"

Rating: 61

Terry Smith: ".....Ted. This might be the most dangerous Sayeed Ali we have ever seen and I am not sure what anyone can do to stop him."

Ted Ross: "Take into account he has Larry Wood on his side he really might be the 4C Champion for good."

Terry Smith: "Folks....we are out of time and I really don't know what else to say. Be sure to catch No Limits next month."

Ted Ross: "Terry, are we going to die?"

Terry Smith: "I don't know, Ted. I just don't know."

Final Rating: 58

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

- The main event was thought to easily be the best match of the year for 4C. Larry was said to be hugging both Frankie Dee and Sayeed Ali after the match for going all out and delivering a brutal match.

- The orignal COTT match was going to be Drake and Malone facing the Ring Generals, but at weigh ins it is said Drake was about ten pounds under the minimum weight. There were no plans to use Thunder & Lightning, but thankfully they were on hand so the match was saved.

- With two solid tag matches and a good main event many feel Wrestling Showcase was the best show to date and might be hard to top. With Best of the Best 21 approaching it is thought a rematch between Frankie Dee and Sayeed Ali will happen.

The End of a Rivalry

http://i.imgur.com/CGLTvZV.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/qG9WDDq.jpg

The Gilbert brothers Joe and Jesse have been part of 4C since 2009 and during that time they were an impressive team that captured the 4C tag titles three times. But after a string of bad luck near the tail end of 2013 finally saw Joe lose his cool and attack his own brother. Since then the two have been at each other's throats with no real end in sight. That is why they agreed 2016 is the year this score would be settled. A best of five series that would see the loser leave 4C forever. For four months the brothers have competed in various matches to see who is the better brother.

And here they sit with two wins each and only one match to go. The match is a rare one for 4C. One only the craziest of men will compete in. A Manitoba Deathmatch. Even if one man survives his life will be forever changed. After a match like this will he even be able to compete again? All it seems for certain that we will have seen the last of at least one Gilbert.

The Curious Case of Preston Fuller

http://i.imgur.com/FWrpuEW.jpg

Preston Fuller is currently in his second year working for 4C and like most younger talents he has spent most of his time looking at the lights. That being said Larry Wood has taken a liking to the young talent and has considered what to do with him. It seems in this case Eric Blackley at least was a bit vocal on how Preston is pushed. While a pretty good hand in the ring Preston has yet to really master the art of selling and Eric thinks it might be best that Preston is kept in the lower reaches of the card for now until that weakness is remedied. It will be interesting on what Larry Wood will do with such advice as he already seems to have something in mind involving Preston, Roxy and Shiva. 2016 could be a good year for Fuller to show he deserves a higher spot on the pecking order, or the year where he proves he may not have a future in 4C.

http://i.imgur.com/yUpc6h6.jpg

Living the Character

http://i.imgur.com/Z5vsuec.jpg

K Strong has only been in 4C for a few months, but he has already won gold and seems to be enjoying his new persona that he debuted. That being said K Strong is a far shout from the man Sam Strong was in appearance, but perhaps that is something the young talent is doing his best to fix. K Strong may never be as big as Sam Strong was, but he has made improvements to put on some muscle and it has done him well. The gimmick and his new look might just be what he needed to move his career forward, but at the same time working for a company like 4C might not have been the best place for him to have shown up. It is said he was signed to a rather long term deal so only time will tell if his new look and character will make him a star.
