We are updating everything! It's natural that a few of the names are off as the database is absolutely immense and it hasn't been updated for a while. Good news are that now we have three modders.

What fighters have you seen that have their stats off?

Also, there aren't many fighers now with International popularity (Diaz Brothers, McGregor, Lesnar and some other). The base for the fighters popularity are (roughly) the PPV sales, when they are headliner or if they headline events at all.

- Added a lot of pictures to the "free pictures" set. I mostly used retired fighters with body pics, so if you add fighters via the editor or with a reality TV show, you don't have that much duplicates

- edited the nicknames, so male fighters don't end up with names like "Princess"

- downscaled the size of the PPV carriers

- scaled the needed popularity for the TV stations according to their size (for example enourmous -> High Level International, massive -> Mid Level International and so on)

- reduced the number of possible TV shows per TV station and PPV carrier, so the companies have to compete for the slots, especially for slots at large TV stations and carriers

- updated the Hall of Fame. Currently, only the UFC Hall of Famers and some really important fighters (Ken Shamrock, Frank Shamrock, Masakatsu Funaki for example) are part of it. Everybody else is measured by the rules of the game itself, which means: how many titles did the fighter held? How many big matchup did he won? And so on. So fighters like Vitor Belfort or Shogun Rua can become Hall of Famers, but it's not guaranteed. (fighters like Fedor, GSP or Anderson Silva are guaranteed though, because they achieved so much)

- I updated the martial arts background of some fighers. There were a lot of people, who have BJJ belts, who weren't "Jiu-Jitsu Students" for example. Some were also flat out wrong

- Also edited the regions. The lucrativity of the region should be rated by their economic power. (the tooltip of the game itself says this). That means, no region in the USA should be at African or Asian leven (besides Japan), since even the poorest region in the USA is rich in comparison to the rest of the world. I also lowered the lucrativity for Nevada and New York, because otherwise the UFC holds his events only in Nevada and New York and nowhere else. I hope, this is better now, I couldn't test it yet

You guys can give me feedback, if you also think, that the game is better balanced than before with my edits. Also, if you find any errors, don't hesitate to tell me.

EDIT:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/lcv2aeabtby1c6g/WMMA4.mdb

There was a minor error in the database. Here is the correct database file

I like the direction this one is going in!

Appreciate what you're doing here and I understand you're working hard. I'd just like to suggest that you include Muscle Wizards database as it is pretty accurate in regards to Hall of Fame, the lower popularity on fighters and that he's given smaller companies a bit more money. Very realistic database. If you can combine that with your constant event updates etc. you could have something that will really save this game for a lot of people, keep it up, mate.

Yeah, if you really are interested in updating this to get an accurate representation of the real world in WMMA4, I suggest hitting up the OP. The more people on board, the quicker the mod gets up to date, and the quicker we can have a accurate version of the mod.

However, by playing the say unplayable version it really helps getting to the next level by finding those bugs, and data errors that will end up making the game have more accurate results.

We will not change of database anymore as we are already weeks into the update. 5teezus and Sfelk are on board as modders, their respective leagues will be updated in the main post this Sunday's release (or Monday's, if things go awry).

I believe the file is playable, absolutely. At least at UFC level, I think the experience is greatly enjoyable, accurate in many cases, and inaccurate in an array of other cases. I'm very happy about how development is going, however.

Today, Sfelk has sent us his Rizin update. 5teezus is working on WSOF and hopefully will have it entirely up to date soon (I don't think for this week's update). Sfelk will now focus on AFC to bring it up to date. Hopefully he will be done soon. For me, it is all about keeping my work on the UFC. I'm fixing all the bugs reported here for today.

We are not going to change of databases by now. It's just a lot of work for little benefit, considering we have a healthy staff of modders. We are, however, receiving modders for leagues which are not yet taken over. As long as you can understand our system of rating fighters and make sure that the fighters (and the company) work realistic, everything will be smooth and easy.

Our current line-up of modders is:

UFC & Untaken Fight-Pass-Aired Promotions: Deskoft

RIZIN, AFC and One FC: Sfelk

Bellator and WSOF: 5teezus

I think if we manage to keep up with that coverage, as we have been doing, we are going to do great. Additional modders will help us improve the mod. Our goal is to be the best, most updated mod of real-world fighters for WMMA 4, with more modders that help us update different leagues. I am confident that we will accomplish our goal and help the game in itself draw attention.

can you please, please fix the UFC roster in terms of retired fighters and actually signed fighters before the next update? <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

it's weird to see tons of fighters on their roster that actually are free agents, signed with others or retired in real life. Just mentioning because I'm seeing that retired fighters and fighters that haven't fought for years still get new pictures. Also some of the fighters have the wrong company assigned to them in the picture list you posted, I hope that'll be fixed in-game <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Thank-you guys for the reports. That is the right step into the right direction so that we get that mod we all want.

However, this is not a five years old mod. That is to be honest, disheartening to hear especially when Tyron Woodley was clearly updated in the first update of the database. He's not underpowered in our database. We have just updated hm! He is a beast in our mod. Last time I checked Conor he was a monster. Have you guys checked Yair Rodriguez's new stats? Ngannou's stats and Tony Ferguson's stats are in the update too. Please don't say that we haven't done major updates. There is a lot of work to be done, but this isn't a five year old database: this is a database that has shape and form but still has drawbacks from the lack of update it had. It's kind of saddening when the fighters you have mentioned are basically the pinnacle of our scouting efforts.

I'm going to work with these reports to make sure they're in either in this or the next update! We're working hard to bring you guys that mod.

hmm, I must have missed the latest update then.

okay, downloaded the latest update, quickly looked at some things:

- Conor needs better submission defense, especially when compared to other light-/featherweights. Kick Boxing background should be changed to "accomplished", boxing added and set to "high level", height changed to 5'9.

- Yair Rodriguez: I recommend watching the Fili, Rosa and Caceres fights. Ground game way underrated, clinch should also be a lot closer to the top clinchers in the division. Conditioning should be at least 85+ if you ask me, he gets better the longer a fight goes and never runs out of gas. Also submission defense at 61 top and 53 bottom? There hasn't even been a fighter yet that actually managed to just attempt a submission against him, that's how good his ground game is! High Level Taekwondo should be added to his attributes as well as "Leg Kicker".

- Woodley has negative momentum, otherwise looks good to me.

- Ferguson: Boxing Power and Skill both need to be raised, ground game too weak (even when he's taken down he's usually the guy that ends up in the dominating position on the ground), clinch to weak, submission attack and defense both too weak. All of his last fights should be perfect examples for his skills. Attributes: add Jiu-Jitsu student. Height should be 5'11.

- Khabib: underrated in all areas. He's arguably the best wrestler in UFC history and he's shown why in all of his fights, his TDs, ground game, passing etc is textbook stuff. The guy had 21 (!!) takedowns against Abel Trujillo, a 4-time all-american wrestler! In a 3 round fight! Aside of Tibau he absolutely humiliated every single opponent he faced in the UFC. The stats don't reflect his skills at all, especially when compared to other fighters.
