Underrated C-Verse wrestlers

Recommended Posts

<p>My issue-aside from signing and shortlisting...a lot of people-is when I stick people into development, I hate it if they stop psychology at under 70. I can't remember where I read it, but I thought the max they got in dev. was their total*.9. I'm probably wrong, but I want me some 80+ psych guys!</p><p> </p><p>

And what I mean is I've looked at a lot of the guys you mentioned-and yes, Australia is a gold mine, and Joss Thompson's awesome!-but...</p>

<p>In my recent experience</p><p> </p><p>

1: Grandmaster Phunk - Assuming he’s not in decline due to his age, is the type of talent to carry a sub national company to national, and for a national company is a good candidate for a high end tag team. I prefer to make my tag team title a main event level belt so he’d definitely take the belt a few times. Entertainment skills can carry small companies and once you keep using him they can grow into the 80s and 90/. Good enough in every other area.</p><p> </p><p>

2: Joanna Silver - Liberal young worker with potential. She’s young and may go up in weight and boost her SQ into the 80s. Will work high risk matches and angles. Very easy to book since she is cheap and excels in eye candy matches. Fits in any promotion size.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

3: Xavi Ferrera - Athletic ability to become a grade ace, if you can boost him up in size can be a fringe main eventer who rivals Ernest Youngman in potential. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

4: Lassana Makutsi - Amazing physicals, good top row and average performance. Easy to spam boost his charisma to bonus tier levels. Going up in weight turns him from a high end tag team guy to a main eventer in any company in the world. My version of this character is an 87 SQ/77 charisma low 80s perf, high 80s or low 90s stamina all around beast who could main event in big 3 companies due to his physical skills.</p>

Some I haven't seen mentioned much are Cobra, The Silencer, and American Elemental II all can help a small/regional fed right away. In my road to glory Silencer and Cobra got signed to developmental deals right away, its been 6 years and they're free agents now. Pumped to use them! AE just got signed up after carrying my tag division for 5 years averaging 60-70 ratings.

I haven't combed through this entire thread (and heck, I may have posted on it before) but I think Riley McManus is criminally underrated. I think my diary The Climb has proven that he can develop (with the right destiny role) into a top star, but I really feel that even if he is not a top star, Riley can be a valuable member of any company's roster. He can play face or heel. He's got good technical wrestling stats, is a decent brawler, has good performance stats and okay entertainment stats (he really developed in my dynasty into a workhorse who can carry a match and cut a really good promo, but that's helped by the fact he also got really over).

Well if Historian wants to revive this then so do I!

RUDY VELASQUEZ.

OMG.

He is soooooooo good.

In fact, all of the Latino Kings (Jesus Chavez and Hector Galindo.

They all have solid enough menace and/or ent skills, but Rudy, oh Rudy boy, he's the Shawn Michaels of Puerto Rico and the West coast.

Also, Laura Flame, after seeing her in the hidden gems section pretty much every save I do I finally hire and push her, she is great.

Finally, Aaron Andrews. Ace is the Seth Rollins of the CVerse imo and isn't getting enough love. I know he may have been shoved into the main event scene too fast but I love him, he and Wolf are the future of TCW.

Used to have him and Haruhiro Tsumemasa as a warrior monk and his celebrity protege tag team called The Firmament. Since he shrunk and got fat, I've found the guy a lot less compelling. BTW, where is Tsumemasa in this thread? Dude always struck me as a prime candidate to be somebody's resident ice man or Stone Pitbull type.</p>

Does anyone else like Cerberus? Sure he’s a horrible locker room guy and he might have literally been a neo **** in earlier C Verse canon, but he has 100 menace! Plus he has C’s in both brawling and hardcore and he’s only 29.

Death’s Head is a great luchadore that I rarely see get signed to US promotions. Great stats and still young

Generally too difficult to get over in most feds.

For me this thread isn’t really answerable due to Destiny roll really controlling who is good or not in any given save. For example in my recent QAW save Connie Morris is a goddess of a worker who can do everything and even cuts good promos, but this is highly YMMV and with crappier rolls(Say her Brawling caps at 55 and her stamina and entertainment are stuck below acceptable levels) she will be much less useful than the 63 Brawling 80/80/90/80 Perf 70/70/70 Entertainment beast I have now.

What I will say is, there a number of workers, due to higher starting stats or special conditions which have higher chances of being stars than others.

Lili Snyder and Ava Anderson for example are super young and start with guaranteed tag chemistry.

Anders Thunders steroid habits can sometimes make him a top 10 worker in the US type of talent in terms of Star Quality and overness. I recently had a save where Anders reaches 94 Star Quality and was a World Champion.

Jefferson Stardust usually can become one of the best guys in the world very quickly instead of a midcarder...

Death Row tend to be very good for most feds due to tag chemistry, ditto for Los Assenios in Mexico and they also start unemployed.
