Recommended Posts

Grey Dog Software is proud to announce that World of Mixed Martial Arts 5 is currently under development with an estimated release date of January 2018. The game will be sold exclusively through the Grey Dog Software web store and be priced at $34.95. WMMA designer Adam Ryland will begin a developer’s journal later in the year, with more information available on the World of Mixed Martial Arts forum.

To help celebrate this news, Grey Dog Software is discounting both WMMA4 and TEW2016 by $10 each using the coupon code GREY10. To purchase either game, go the webstore and add either WMMA4 or TEW2016 to your shopping cart. Next, choose the option “I have a discount coupon for this product” and enter the code. You should see the discount at checkout! The sale will run through Monday night, June 19.

<p>YES! WMMA 4 was in some ways an improvement on 3 but I felt the UI was better on 3 and missed the one night tournament options.</p><p> </p><p>

What I want to see from WMMA 5:</p><p> </p><p>

- UI as smart and easy to use as WMMA 3</p><p>

- One night tournaments returning from WMMA 3</p><p>

- Gameplay mechanics returning from WMMA 4 (contracts for example)</p><p>

- Better fighter regen, at least fix it so every single regen has an unique picture (reusing older fighters pics if need be). I feel fighter regen worked better in WMMA 3.</p><p>

- Full screen mode</p><p>

- MMA Tycoon universe in WMMA 5 (one can dream eh?)</p>

Hope it takes the best bits of 3 and 4 and more.</p><p> </p><p>

Still playing 3 almost every day. Such a brilliant game.</p>

I could just as easily have posted a near-identical wishlist.</p><p> </p><p> Personally, I'd love to see the fight/event screen from Wmma 3 return with the fighter profile screens of Wmma 4. The rest I'm not too fussy about, although I'd be delighted if the next game focused on presentation and user-friendliness more than anything else.</p>

<p>Not sure if it would be possible, but would be cool to have network games, where 2 of us on here could create a network game and each manage a different promotion. </p><p> </p><p>

Also like has been said before, i really hope one night tournaments reurn, i used them a lot on wmma3 and was gutted when they was left out of wmma4.</p><p> </p><p>

Can't wait for it to come out!</p>

<p>A quick question:</p><p> </p><p>

I've been playing a demo of TEW 16, and see this as a great opportunity to buy the full game, but I don't want to lose my save games. Does the special offer work with demo-to-retail version?</p><p> </p><p>

Or is there something else I need to do to keep my saves in tact?</p><p> </p><p>

Looking forward to your answer.</p>

The license and game are two entirely separate things; you can quite happily use the demo-to-retail patch or even just apply the latest patch from the technical support forum to play the full version of the game without affecting your save games in any way. The only way you can lose save games is to manually delete them or uninstall the game.

Yes. Purchase the license using that link but don't then install the game, just apply the patch from the Technical Support forum instead.

If you're not clear on any of that then you can provide yourself extra security by simply copying your entire Database folder somewhere safe, that way if you do mess up with the installation you can just paste it back over and you won't have lost anything.

The best process to buy and get the discount is to go here:

https://www.elicense.com/greydogsoftware/store/index.asp

1. Add your game to the cart (in this case TEW2016).

2. Click the "I have a discount coupon for this product" link and enter GREY10.

3. Purchase the game using a CC and you will get an email with your license ID.

4. Go to this location and download retail patch version:

http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533554

5. Open the patch zip file and then copy it over your current trial version. Open the game and there should be a "license" option at the button and enter your ID. You should be good to go now!

<p>Great news! While WMMA 4 was an improvement over WMMA 3, i was somewhat disappointed in WMMA 4, it was not the step up i was expecting. </p><p> </p><p>

Things i would like to see:</p><p> </p><p>

- A generally faster game, in particular, a LOT less tedious renegotiating, i want that to be done automatically and quickly. Way too many screens need to be opened to get things done, this needs to be streamlined.</p><p> </p><p>

- WMMA tried to go away from what made TEW great and a focus was put on things like the full figure pics (not part of TEW, but apparently one of the key reasons we have a much smaller database in WMMA). The fictional game needs to get beefed up a lot. In comparison to TEW the game world is nothing, most certainly it is not challenging. We need the gameworld to move ahead a lot further this time round (not just 3 years) with a lot more companies, fighters, history etc.</p><p> </p><p>

I can come up with more, but those 2 will make it for me.</p>

Any chance of BJJ tournaments? or K1? That would be pretty cool, if you could run them, either one offs or as an org, maybe with it not going on the record but being big boost to reputation? Id like more out there rule sets in general, like pancreas style no closed fists, or being able enforce super quick stand ups, or bare knuckles.
