<p>Jeff Jarrett - <em>I feel like I can see the swerve coming, but I'll leave it to myself and see where you go with it.</em></p><p>

Booker T - <em>Though as usual, I feel like a traitor not betting on Scott!</em></p><p>

Totally Buff - <em>At New Blood Rising we have three guys in their 40s wrestling for top titles</em> <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Lance Storm - <em>This isn't the place for a swerve, Storm goes on to face Rey on Nitro.</em></p><p>

Billy Kidman - <em>Kidman is looking like your new Chavo, running with the belt pretty much indefinitely.</em></p><p>

O'Haire and Palumbo - <em>Off to development with you, guys!</em></p><p>

Kanyon - <em>Miller is Miller, but Kanyon can be given a serious push.</em></p><p>

Shane Helms - <em>Still really enjoying what you're doing with Cash, but Helms picks up the win at the end of the feud here.</em></p><p>

Hugh and Animal</p><p> </p><p>

Titles: 0</p><p>

Change: Cruiser title match will become a triple threat</p><p>

He: Given how you've been pushing people who don't often get seen, I'm going to say that you're bringing in The Messiah from XPW to lead Crowbar on an X-treme Revolution! Your criteria means it can't be Daniels because he wrestled on Nitro in January of 2001. (I'm kind of suspecting this to just be Punk, though.)</p>

So after quite a long wait I can finally announce that the show is almost finished and will be posted soon. I apologize for the long wait but after a bit of a crappy period in my life I'm finally back working on this so...yeah, like I said, expect the show posted soon. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The match starts off fast and furious as both men trade blows in the middle of the ring and, perhaps somewhat surprisingly, it is Booker T who gets the better of the exchange as he is able to hit several punches in a row, driving Steiner back into the ropes. Booker then whips Steiner into the ropes and takes him off his feet with a harlem sidekick. Steiner rolls out of the ring to regroup and Booker stands tall in the ring, having won the first little exchange, but as Mike Tenay is quick to note; Booker may have won the first battle in this one, but the war is far from over. Once Steiner re-enters the ring he is able to catch Booker with a knee to the midsection, switching the momentum putting himself in a position of control as he hits a belly to belly suplex. Steiner remains in control for the next several minutes as he wears Booker down, even taking the fight outside the ring where he takes full advantage of the opportunities out there as he whips Booker into the guard rail, then into the side of the ring, and then back into the guard rail, stopping only when the referee's count nears ten. Back in the ring, "Big Poppa Pump" is starting to feel confident--or perhaps a little bit overconfident--as he takes the time to flex for the crowd. Steiner then hits another belly to belly suplex on Booker, but instead of covering him he starts doing push-ups instead while telling the referee that he'll tell him when to count. "FreakZilla" looks to be in complete control, but he spends too much time jawing with the referee which gives Booker some valuable time to recover, which Mike Tenay calls a big mistake on the part of Steiner when going up against someone as talented as Booker T. Bobby Heenan jokes that Booker T looks very talented lying flat on his back here, but Tenay is quickly proven to be correct as Booker begins to mount as comeback with a series of punches and kicks that absolutely rocks "Big Poppa Pump".</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="gBHsAwo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gBHsAwo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> With Booker T building momentum in the ring, "The Dog-Faced Gremlin" Rick Steiner makes his way down to ringside, much to the fans' displeasure as they greet him with nothing but boos. Booker T successfully delivers his Axe Kick, then pulls out the spin-a-roonie to get back to his feet and the crowd is firmly behind him, but Rick Steiner is up on the apron and he draws Booker's attention. Booker charges and knocks Rick off the apron, but the distraction allows Scott Steiner time to recover and when Booker turns around he walks right into a Steiner Flatliner!</p><p> </p><p> 1...</p><p> </p><p> 2...</p><p> </p><p> ...NO!!!!</p><p> </p><p> Booker somehow manages to get a shoulder up and Scott is absolutely livid as he screams at the referee that it was a three count. The referee maintains that it was a two count only, but Steiner doesn't back down as he continues to argue with the referee...right up until Booker suddenly rolls him up from behind...</p><p> </p><p> 1...</p><p> </p><p> 2...</p><p> </p><p> ...NO!!!</p><p> </p><p> This time it is Steiner who just barely manages to stay alive in the match. Rick Steiner is back up on the apron and he tries to enter the ring in plain view of the referee, who naturally moves to stop him. Unfortunately this allows Scott Steiner to make use of the lead pipe that Rick slipped him moments ago, and Scott nails Booker with it, then tosses it outside the ring and hits another Flatliner just as Rick jumps off the apron, allowing the referee to turn around and make the three count. The Steiner Brothers just screwed Booker T!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Scott Steiner defeated Booker T at 19.11 by pinfall with a Steiner Flatliner after hitting Booker with a lead pipe. Scott Steiner will captain a War Games team at Fall Brawl (B)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Tony and Mike are both outraged by the fact that the Steiner Brothers just screwed Booker T, but Bobby Heenan merely points out that it is only cheating if you get caught and the Steiner Brothers were smart enough not to get caught. Scott and Rick are celebrating in the ring, but they are in for a surprise as...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="7PSSM69.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7PSSM69.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "Seek and Destroy" suddenly starts playing and Sting comes out from the back to a huge reaction from the crowd. Sting says that he's got a surprise for the Steiner Brothers because while Scotty may be a War Games team captain now, even though he doesn't deserve it, there has to be two captains in total, one for each team..."and that other captain just happens to be...ME!" The crowd pops as Sting reveals himself as the other team captain, and to make things even better Sting also informs Scott that he has just made his first pick for his team and that pick is...BOOKER T!!!! Sting drops the mic and Booker joins Sting at the top of the entrance ramp while Tony Schiavone notes that Scott Steiner may have screwed Booker T over tonight, but Sting just turned the tables on the Steiner Brothers. <strong>(B+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="v70H8HK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/v70H8HK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="6eOQ29A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6eOQ29A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="7qG3iaZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7qG3iaZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ueZNjIJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ueZNjIJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Tag team action is up next as the newly formed team of Hugh Morrus and Road Warrior Animal face off against the remaining two members of 3-Count, Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias. Moore and Karagias try to jump their opponents before the bell has even sounded, but they are quickly overpowered by Morrus and Animal and forced to retreat. 3-Count do manage to find some success as they attempt to isolate Hugh Morrus and wear him down, but only for a short while as Morrus fights back, makes the hot tag to Animal, and from there it's nothing but trouble for Moore and Karagias as Animal runs through them both with clotheslines and power moves. Animal hits a powerslam on Karagias, then tags in Morrus who hits his No Laughing Matter moonsault, and the team of Morrus and Animal get off to a strong start with a pinfall victory over 3-Count here at New Blood Rising.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Hugh Morrus and Road Warrior Animal defeated 3-Count at 7.14 by pinfall when Morrus pinned Karagias following a No Laughing Matter moonsault (D+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW United States Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="BtqI9mq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BtqI9mq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="IJIxeY2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IJIxeY2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="v4ps6Ig.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/v4ps6Ig.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="qnDHH19.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qnDHH19.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> In our first of four title matches tonight, Lance Storm defends the United States Championship against Konnan, who is accompanied to the ring by his friend, Rey Misterio Jr., who Mike Tenay reminds everyone faces the winner of tonight's match for the title tomorrow night on Monday Nitro. Bobby Heenan complains that Rey has no business being out here and that it is unfair for the champion, Lance Storm, to have to keep his eyes on Rey too, but Tony and Mike both point out that Bobby had no problem with Rick Steiner being at ringside earlier tonight, to which Bobby replies that that was completely different. Rey's presence at ringside doesn't become a factor at all, however, as he merely watches as Storm and Konnan battle it out in a very even, back and forth matchup. Konnan goes for his Ziplock submission maneuver several times during this one, but each time Storm is able to either avoid it altogether, or come up with a counter. The beginning of the end of this one comes when Konnan goes for his rolling clothesline, but Storm has it scouted and nails Konnan with a superkick. With Konnan completely dazed, Storm is easily able to apply the Canadian Maple Leaf and even though he fights it, Konnan has no choice but to submit.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Lance Storm defeated Konnan at 12.12 by submission with the Canadian Maple Leaf. Gene asks DDP about the match and Page says that tonight is his chance to not only become a World Champion once again, but also to put an end to Jarrett's sham of a title reign. Page says that he doesn't know what Eric Bischoff sees in Jeff Jarrett that makes him back him to the point that he allows Jarrett to blatantly cheat because he can't get the job done on his own, but after tonight it's not gonna matter because he's gonna put an end to it. "Tonight, Jeff, get ready to feel..the...BANG!!!" <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW Cruiserweight Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="yQlOLne.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yQlOLne.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="TqDQ0Kz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TqDQ0Kz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="YJdjdt3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YJdjdt3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="3WOT8i0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3WOT8i0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The Cruiserweight Championship is on the line next as Billy Kidman defends the title against the red-hot Disco Inferno who, as Mike Tenay points out, comes into this match with a ton of momentum on his side. Disco is all business here as doesn't even so much as bust a single move, even during his entrance, and as soon as the bell rings he takes the fight to Kidman, looking to keep him grounded. Tony notes that Disco is not exactly the typical cruiserweight in terms of his offense being more grounded and less high-flying, and Mike adds that that is exactly why it is wise strategy by Disco to not allow Kidman to make use of his high-flying offense. This strategy works well for Disco as he is able to control the pace of the match and thus keep Kidman in check, picking up several near-falls along the way. But Kidman never stops fighting back and every time it looks like Disco is in complete control, Kidman will surprise him with a move out of nowhere that reminds Disco, and everyone else, that the Champion is still very much in this one. With Torrie Wilson cheering him on at ringside, Kidman is able to catch Disco by surprise with a BK Bomb which almost ends the match, but Disco is able to kick out just in time. Disco recovers and goes for his Chartbuster, but Kidman is able to reverse it into a sit-out facebuster of his own. Sensing his opportunity, Kidman makes his way to the top rope and delivers a perfectly executed Shooting Star Press to pick up the win and retain his title in a hard-fought match.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Billy Kidman defeated Disco Inferno at 11.06 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press. Crowbar says that tonight is the night and "he" is finally here. "He" has finally arrived and now nothing will ever be the same again. Everyone's attention turn to the entrance ramp where everything is bathed in a bright white light as a new music starts to play and.....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="200" height="200" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pCbuu0dWBnY" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/pCbuu0dWBnY"</a> frameborder="0" gesture="media" allow="encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> <img alt="LGOE3jf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LGOE3jf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The person we must assume is "he" walks out from the back, making his debut. Crowbar and Daffney look practically in awe while the rest of the arena don't quite know what to make of this new arrival. As he enters the ring, Crowbar and Daffney already have a mic ready for him, which he grabs as apparently this new arrival has something to say here. As the music dies down, he raises the mic up to his lips and says that his name is Mordecai and he wasn't put on this earth to bring salvation...he was put on this earth to cleanse it. To purge it. He says that evil is everywhere. Sinners are everywhere. But he is going to change that because he is going to destroy them all...one sinner at a time. Having delivered his message, Mordecai then drops the mic and attacks Crowbar with some vicious punches. Crowbar either can't or won't fight back, and Mordecai lays Crowbar out with The Crucifix (crucifix powerbomb). Mordecai then stands menacingly above Crowbar's motionless body as the music starts playing again. It seems that nobody--announcers included--don't quite know what to make of this strange debut as Mordecai slowly leaves the ring and makes his way back up the ramp while Daffney tends to the fallen Crowbar. <strong>(D+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="t5bgsE2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/t5bgsE2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="GQpaxEc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GQpaxEc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="waG19mm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/waG19mm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="dNLwm1L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dNLwm1L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Following the altogether strange debut of "He", we move on to one on one action as "The Cat" Ernest Miller faces off against Chris Kanyon in what has become quite a heated rivalry of late, which is evidenced by the fact that Kanyon doesn't even wait for the bell to ring before he attacks "The Cat". Kanyon makes the most of his unfairly gained advantage as he controls the match early on, but "The Cat" is able to weather the early storm of offense from Kanyon and work his way back into the match, stringing together a series of martial arts kicks which land with devastating precision. As things begin to heat up in the ring they heat up outside the ring as well as Stacy Keibler and Miss Jones get into an argument after Stacy attempts to trip up "The Cat" when he bounces off the ropes. The argument turns physical when Stacy shoves Miss Jones, and "The Cat" leaves the ring and positions himself between the two women. This gets a mixed reaction from the announce table as Tony and Mike both agree that "The Cat" is doing the right thing, but Bobby Heenan says that "The Cat" should be focused on Kanyon and that he should bother with what's going on outside the ring. This time Bobby Heenan proves to be right as "The Cat" is clobbered from behind by Chris Kanyon, who follows up with a snap suplex on the unforgiving floor. Kanyon then rolls "The Cat" back into the ring, hits the Kanyon Kutter, and picks up the pinfall victory as the confrontation between Stacy Keibler and Miss Jones just ended up costing "The Cat" dearly here.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Chris Kanyon defeated "The Cat" at 12.05 by pinfall with a Kanyon Kutter ©</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Kanyon and Stacy quickly leave the ring and they are all smiles as they just picked up the win. Kevin Nash and Buff Bagwell starts things off and the bigger, stronger Nash takes control early on as he overpowers "Buff Daddy". Showing some serious confidence, and perhaps a bit of overconfidence, Nash tosses Bagwell into Totally Buff's corner, allowing him to make the tag to "The Total Package". Luger enters the ring and we have a test of strength, albeit one that ends prematurely when Buff Bagwell enters the ring and kicks the knee of "Big Sexy". Having gained the advantage, Luger feigns that he is going to allow Nash to tag out just as he did with Bagwell, but he pulls Nash's hand away at the last minute before Savage can make the tag. Luger laughs at Savage, but Nash then picks Luger up and hits a sidewalk slam. Nash tags in Savage who enters the ring to a great pop and he immediately goes to work on Luger, unloading on his with lefts and rights as Mike Tenay notes that Savage still has plenty of gas left in the tank. Buff Bagwell enters the ring and tries to attack Savage from behind, but Savage sees him coming and drops him with a clothesline. Savage is rolling here, but a thumb to the eye from Luger turns the tide of the match back in favor of the Champions. Luger hits a pair of clotheslines and a bodyslam, and then he tags in Bagwell who starts off by slapping the "Macho Man" across the face and then follows it up with a DDT which is enough to secure a two count before Savage kicks out. Buff takes time to pose for his adoring fans--all two of them--and then he goes back on the attack...but Savage catches Bagwell off guard with an inverted atomic drop and then he clotheslines him to the mat. Bagwell makes the tag to Luger, but Savage also gets to Nash before Luger can prevent the tag. Nash hits a big boot on Luger and one on Bagwell as well. Then it's time for the sidewalk slam--one for each man as well, and then "Big Sexy" calls for the Jackknife Powerbomb! Nash sets Luger up for it, but Bagwell is back in to save his partner--only for Nash to send him flying over the top rope! Nash then sets up and hits the Jackknife Powerbomb on Luger and then he makes the tag to Savage, who has already climbed to the top rope and....ELBOW DROP!!! Savage hits the big elbow drop on "The Total Package" and he makes the cover...</p><p> </p><p> 1...</p><p> </p><p> 2...</p><p> </p><p> ...3!!!! </p><p> </p><p> WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Randy Savage and Kevin Nash defeated Totally Buff at 13.15 by pinfall when Savage pinned Luger following the big Elbow Drop. Gene asks Jarrett about his title defense tonight against Diamond Dallas Page and Jarrett says that he is the World Champion for a reason and that reason is that he's the best in the damn world. Gene asks Jarrett about what just happened in the ring with Totally Buff losing the Tag Team Championships, and Jarrett says that what just happened was nothing more than a fluke, one that they will correct as soon as possible, but if DDP thinks that he's got a chance in hell of striking just as lucky as Nash and Savage just did...well, lighting never strikes the same place twice and Nash and Savage just used up all the dumb luck that the universe can muster up tonight. Jarrett says that DDP has had his time in the sun, but now it has come and gone and it is "The Chosen One's" time to shine, and if you don't like that...then you can choke on it, slapnut! <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="DeMllKw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DeMllKw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="O0I3vYs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O0I3vYs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="xwUJi96.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xwUJi96.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "Sugar" Shane Helms knows from experience that he is facing a two one one situation here and he shows that early on when he vaults himself over the top rope and hits a diving crossbody on Big Smooth at ringside, taking out Cash's bodyguard at least momentarily. Bobby Heenan says that since Helms struck first you can't blame Smooth for anything he might do later on, which Tony and Mike both think is ridiculous given Smooth's history of getting involved. Helms tries to end this one early while Smooth is still down outside the ring, but Cash doesn't prove that easy to beat even without the aid of his bodyguard. Even so, Helms does seem to be a step ahead of Cash for the majority of this one, but that quickly changes after Cash accidentally (on purpose) crashes into the referee, taking him out of the equation for the moment, which gives Smooth the opportunity he needs to enter the ring and plant Helms with a devastating powerslam. Smooth then leaves the ring again and Cash hits his Dead Level brainbuster on Helms, then revives the referee, who makes the three count as Cash steals a win against Shane Helms.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cash defeated Shane Helms at 9.17 by pinfall with a Dead Level after interference from Big Smooth (C-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="KZ3THeU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KZ3THeU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SvNacxY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SvNacxY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7bFbOrf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7bFbOrf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Mike Sanders, Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak make their way out from the back as Tony Schiavone informs us that their match is coming up next and reminds everyone that one of the two teams consisting of former Natural Born Thrillers members will be suspended indefinitely after tonight--and that will be whichever team loses the match. Jindrak and Stasiak are both dressed to wrestle but Jindrak's upper body is heavily taped up and he appears to be in a lot of pain as they enter the ring. Mike Sanders calls for a mic and says that this match can't possibly proceed because, thanks to Kevin Nash on Monday Nitro, Mark Jindrak is injured and can't compete tonight. Sanders says that it would be entirely unfair--not to mention irresponsible--for Eric Bischoff and WCW to force an injured wrestler to compete tonight. Sanders even produces a doctor's note which he claims states that Jindrak is unfit to compete tonight, so he says that this match should be either postponed or just scrapped entirely.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="sSiM1MW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sSiM1MW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "White Train" then starts playing, bringing the owner of WCW, Eric Bischoff, out from the back. Bischoff enters the ring and looks over the doctor's note as Sanders again states that Jindrak should not be competing tonight. Bischoff considers his words, as well as the words on the piece of paper, and then says that maybe Mark Jindrak shouldn't compete tonight. Bischoff says that the last thing he needs is a lawsuit on his hand on the off-chance that this note is actually legit. Sanders looks relieved for a moment as it appears that their plan to avoid the match has worked, but then Bischoff announces that he is making a change to the match; Mike Sanders will take Jindrak's place in the match and the match will proceed as planned! Sanders is not happy about this, complaining that he hasn't had any time to prepare, but Bischoff says that maybe Sanders should have thought about that before he decided to spring this crap on him last minute. Bischoff then leaves the ring and this match is taking place after all. <strong>©</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Losers are suspended indefinitely</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="SvNacxY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SvNacxY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="KZ3THeU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KZ3THeU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="7bFbOrf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7bFbOrf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="rxMZSbm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rxMZSbm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="1S9VfKR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1S9VfKR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Mike Sanders is still complaining to the referee about this match and how unfair it is, and he even tries to convince O'Haire and Palumbo to join them in a protest of the match and its stipulaitons. O'Haire and Palumbo are here to fight, however, and the match gets underway when O'Haire decks Sanders with a straight right hand. Sanders scrambles to their corner and tags in Shawn Stasiak and from there the match slowly turns into a very even back and forth affair with both teams getting roughly the same amount of offense in while Mark Jindrak is now forced to look on from ringside, his fate no longer in his own hands. As Sanders and Stasiak control the action in the ring by isolating Chuck Palumbo, Tony notes that all of this came about after the former Thrillers failed to take out Scott Steiner as Eric Bischoff had instructed them to, and Bobby Heenan adds that you don't want to cross the boss and you really don't want to piss him off. After several minutes of being in control but failing to put Palumbo away, Palumbo finally fights his way back into the match and makes the hot tag to Sean O'Haire. O'Haire takes the fight to both Sanders and Stasiak, eventually tossing Stasiak over the top rope and onto Mark Jindrak. O'Haire and Palumbo then sizes up Sanders...and drops him with a double superkick to the jaw. Sanders goes down, O'Haire covers him, and this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo defeated Mike Sanders and Shawn Stasiak at 12.59 by pinfall when O'Haire pinned Sanders following a double superkick. Bobby Heenan is, of course, outraged by the fact that Sting is allowed to be out here, but Tony reminds him that not only did DDP earn the right to name a stipulation for this match but maybe, just maybe, Sting's presence will mean that Totally Buff can't interfere in the match and we will actually get a fair fight for the World Championship for a change. The Challenger is both bigger and stronger than the Champion and Page makes good use of that as he uses those advantages to put "The Chosen One" on the defensive. After getting knocked off his feet with a discus clothesline, Jarrett rolls out of the ring to regroup...only to get sent right back in ring by Sting, much to the crowd's delight and Bobby Heenan's frustration as he says that Sting has no business putting his hands on the Champion. Mike Tenay notes that this match all been all DDP so far, but that changes as soon as Mike says it as a quick thumb to the eye finally allows the Champion a little bit of breathing room. Jarrett goes to work on Page with some knife edge chops, a jawbreaker, and finally a standing dropkick that takes Page off his feet. Jarrett then quickly follows up by applying a sleeper hold on Page in the middle of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Jarrett's got the sleeper locked in tight and DDP appears to be fading, but just when it looks like Page might be out of it, the Challenger digs down deep and finds the resolve to start fighting his way back up to his feet while Jarrett desperately tries to keep the hold locked in. DDP gets all the way back to his feet and finally forces Jarrett to break the sleeper by picking him up and driving him to the mat with a belly to back suplex, leaving both men down in the middle of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="epiwJ9r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/epiwJ9r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tjPJopW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tjPJopW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Totally Buff are out from the back and the now former Tag Team Champions make their way down toward the ring, but they slow their approach when they see Sting waiting for them at the bottom of the entrance ramp. Meanwhile, back in the ring, both Champion and Challenger are back to their feet and they exchange blows in the middle of the ring--an exchange that DDP gets the better off as he drives Jarrett back against the ropes, whips him across the ring, and catches him with a big time gutbuster. Seeing the Champion in trouble in the ring, Luger and Bagwell resume their approach on the ring which leads them directly into a confrontation with Sting, who produces his signature baseball bat from under his coat, which once again makes Totally Buff think twice about approaching the ring. Despite Sting seemingly having the situation under control, the confrontation outside the ring draws the referee's attention, allowing Jarrett to hit a low blow on Page behind the referee's back. Page never saw it coming and "Double J" hits another one for good measure, then quickly grabs Page and drops him with The Stroke! Jeff Jarrett speaks first and he says that one more stepped up to the plate and one more was sent packing last night because he is STILL the WCW World Heavyweight Champion--just like he said he would be! Jarrett proclaims himself "The Chosen One" and "the greatest of all time", and he says that nobody can prove him wrong because nobody is good enough to beat him. The Champion then he hands the mic to Eric Bischoff. Bischoff adresses what happened last night with the Tag Team Titles, saying that Nash and Savage better enjoy those titles while they can because next week on Nitro they are coming back home where they belong when Totally Buff get their rematch. We've got a huge match set for next week but The Chosen Ones aren't done yet Bischoff hands the mic to "The Total Package" Lex Luger. Luger says that what happened last night was the biggest fluke in the history of professional wrestling, and Buff Bagwell adds that while Nash and Savage may have gotten lucky last night, Totally Buff are going to set the record straight next week when they not only beat Nash and Savage...but leave them begging for mercy.</p><p> </p><p> As The Chosen Ones leave the ring, Tony, Mike and Bobby hype up the match that was just booked for next week by Eric Bischoff; Kevin Nash and Randy Savage defending the Tag Team Titles against Totally Buff right here on Monday Nitro. Sanders again brings up the fact that Jindrak is injured and couldn't compete last night, which put them at an unfair disadvantage. Sanders says that the three of them have all the talent in the world and Bischoff is making a big mistake by sending them away. Bischoff surprisingly agrees that maybe Sanders has a point, saying that since Mark Jindrak was unable to compete last night it would be unfair to suspend him. Bischoff says that as of this moment Mark Jindrak is no longer suspended, but as for Sanders and Stasiak...they are definitely still suspended and Bischoff tells them to get the hell out of his office--before those suspensions turn into a pair of pink slips! <strong>(C-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="Z1DlA0N.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1DlA0N.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zah6nFe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zah6nFe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Elsewhere in the back, "Mean" Gene Okerlund is standing by with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for an interview, but before they can even get started they are rudely interrupted by...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="waG19mm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/waG19mm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="dNLwm1L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dNLwm1L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Chris Kanyon and Stacy Keibler. As Nash and Savage make their way to the ring, Tony Schiavone recaps the events of last night's New Blood Rising where Nash and Savage defeated Totally Buff to capture the WCW Tag Team Championships. Mike Tenay talks about how impressive Randy Savage's return to WCW has been so far, but Bobby Heenan says that it is just like Luger and Bagwel said earlier tonight; what happened was nothing but a fluke which will be set right next week. Once in the ring, Nash gets on the mic and announces that the NEW Tag Team Champions are in da house, much to the crowd's delight. Nash says that he and Mach did exactly what they said they were gonna do last night; they walked away with the gold and it's just...too...sweet! Nash then hands the mic to Savage, who talks about coming back to WCW and now being a champion again, calling it a great feeling and--</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="epiwJ9r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/epiwJ9r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tjPJopW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tjPJopW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> And that's when the former champions come out from the back. Buff sarcastically claps at Nash and Savage, telling Savage that his fairytale story is going to have a tragic ending next week on Nitro when Totally Buff take their titles back. Luger claims that they were robbed last night and that Nash and Savage should just do the right thing and hand the titles back. But Luger says that he knows they won't do that so they will just have to take them for themselves next week. Nash invites the former champions to come to the ring where he and Savage both look ready for a fight, but the former champions head to the back instead, evidently not wanting any part of a brawl here tonight. Tony once again reminds everyone that these two teams will go at it next week on Nitro with the titles on the line, and then he sends us backstage to "Mean" Gene Okerlund. <strong>(B+)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44117" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="Z1DlA0N.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Z1DlA0N.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7PSSM69.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7PSSM69.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="O6ChwMw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O6ChwMw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Gene is with Sting and Booker T and he asks them about the events of last night with Sting revealing himself to be the other War Games captain and picking Booker T to be on his team. Scott says that tonight it's their turn to make a surprise announcement and he then issues a challenge for Sting to face "The Dog-Faced Gremlin" right here, right now! This is a solid match, even if the fans don't quite know who to cheer for, and Kanyon is able to prove that he can walk the walk as well as talk the talk as he holds his own against arguably the greatest of all time. Still, in the end, Kanyon finds himself in trouble as Flair is able to lock in the Figure Four. Kanyon fights it as best he can but he is unable to escape and it looks like submission is his only option...but then Stacy Keibler enters the ring and slaps Flair across the face, causing the referee to disqualify Kanyon before he can submit.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ric Flair defeated Chris Kanyon at 11.18 by disqualification when Stacy Keibler slapped Flair (C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The match is over and Flair has won, albeit not quite in the manner he wanted to. Page says that Jarrett has no idea what makes someone a worthy champion or a worthy contender, but if he's so confident in himself why don't he put the title on the line next week in a rematch from last night? The crowd clearly loves this idea, but "Double J" says that if Page wants a fight next week, he'll get one. But it won't be against "The Chosen One" because like we saw last night at New Blood Rising... Page is just not on his level. Jarrett tells Page to come ready for fight next week because he's gonna talk to Eric Bischoff and make sure he gets one! Storm and Misterio live up to the main event spot as they put on a good TV main event in what is a highly competitive matchup. It is also, as Mike points out, a clash of two different styles as Storm tries to keep the action on the ground while Misterio looks to quicken the pace at every turn and hit Storm with his high-flying offense. Lance Storm is the first one to make use of the ladder as a weapon as he positions it in the corner of the ring and then irish whips Misterio into it, putting himself firmly in control of the match. Storm controls the next several minutes, but every time he tries to climb the ladder Misterio is there to prevent him from reaching the top and the United States Championship. Storm then goes for his Canadian Maple Leaf, but Rey is able to counter it. Rey unleashes a flurry of kicks to the back of Storm's leg, then takes him down with a springboard crossbody. Rey hits a low dropkick to Storm's chest and then it is Misterio's turn to climb the ladder...only for Storm to yank him off the ladder before he can get to the top. The match continues to go back and forth for several more minutes until both men find themselves exchanging blows at the top of the ladder. They go back and forth until Rey lands a kick to Storm's leg that causes his knee to buckle. Then, with Storm off-balance, Rey, going all out, grabs Storm and hits a face buster off the top of the ladder! Both men are down after that but it is clear that Storm got the worst of it as Rey slowly gets back to his feet and starts climbing the ladder. Storm begins to stir as well, but not before Rey gets to the top of the ladder and pulls down the Unites States Championship title belt, ending the match and making himself a two time United States Champion!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Lance Storm at 19.50 when Rey retrieved the US Title belt. Congratulations to the winners and a huge thanks to everyone who predicts and/or follows the Quest. It is, as always, greatly appreciated. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Nash and Savage - <em>While I could see them getting screwed out of the belts here so one of them can go up and face Jarrett, they make a neat team, so keep the belts on them until you find a good young team to put them on.</em></p><p>

DDP - <em>Storm makes a good showing, but Page picks up the win.</em></p><p>

Ernest Miller - <em>Miller seems to have things going on, which Finlay does not.</em></p><p>
