Amazonas de Lucha Libre [C'Verse, Women's Company]

[April 2015]

He took a drink from the the mug of coffee sitting on his desk. He lowered it back to the tabletop and tossed the paper he had been writing notes on into the wastebin next to his desk. It's been three years since he took the position as road agent and booker for his friend El Bandido's EMLL company. Three years of his life spent building an organization that prides itself on being a little different. No tag team wrestling. All singles. No trios. Those were the marching orders from El Maestro.

He leans back in his seat and rubs his temple. He's always loved lucha libre. Since he was a boy going to see shows live with his abuelo. He was one of the lucky few who got to see El Patron at his zenith. He was eight when his abuelo took him to see his first live event. When he saw Salvador Lopez, Jr defend the Campenato del Mundo against El Patron. His abuelo had saved him, got tickets to sit in the third row. They sat their enthralled as El Patron and Lopez battled for forty-five minutes in what was the greatest battle of good and evil that the niño had ever seen. El Patron stood tall at the end. He stood tall as champion for the first time and the niño knew what he wanted to be. He was going to be a luchadore. He was going to be a champion.

A decade later, at eighteen years old he became just that. He became a luchadore -- and he became a legendary one at that. Two times he won the California Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. Seven times he won the Mexican Professional Wrestling Federation championship. Then his knee went and that was it. He was forty-two when he had to retire. Forty-two when he had to figure out what to do.

He dedicated himself to his family. He dedicated himself to the generation of luchadores to come after him. Generations that had seen him wage war with the American Sam Keith. Generations that had seem wage war with Mr. Lucha, the newer generations that saw him go to battle with Pablo Rodriguez.

Yes, Luis Montero had done well for himself. He had made money. He had been enshrined in Halls of Fame. He was widely recognized as one of the greatest luchadores in history.

There was a knock on his office door. "Come in." He said, blinking several times as he looked up and the door swung open.

On the other side of the door is his youngest child -- no, not Gino. His real youngest child. The one he has tried to hide from the wrestling world. Shielded her even. Lucha Libre has never been the realm of women. It's barely been the realm of men. Rudos have to be in fear of their safety. Riots are not uncommon. No, not the realm of women, he thought to himself as his daughter walked in.

"Papa." She said. Her voice careful. Measured. "Are you busy?"

"I'm never too busy for you, chiquita."

"I've made a decision. And I don't think you're going to like it." She said softly her eyes lowered. She was afraid. Not of her father's anger or rage. He was not a violent man. He was a loving father. A good father. She was afraid of disappointing him.

"You want to move to Hollywood and pursue the movies and your music?" He said bemused. His daughter is a talented young woman. She sings well. The boys at school ask her on dates even before they know her last name.

"No. Not that. I. I want to be like Luis and Gino. I want to wrestle." She said.

The senior Montero did not respond. He took another drink of his coffee and closed his eyes for a long moment. "Why, chiquita? You could be anything. You could be a star for your singing. You could act."

"I love those things, papa. But we are luchadores. You were a luchadore. Gino and Luis are luchadores. I want to be a luchadora. This is the family business."

"But where would you wrestle? In Japan? That is so far away from home. In America? They wouldn't know what to do with you. Joaquin will never book you."

"He books Luis and Gino." He has no choice. They are stars for him. They were stars before he and I got on the outs. He only has luchadoras for the novelty -- he wouldn't use you."

"Then I'll work for El Maestro. His women get taken more seriously."

"I don't trust him. He was always pleasant when I dealt with him, but he is a Joaquin guy. I don't trust Joaquin guys."

"Then you open a company for me to wrestle in, Papa. We have the money. You could open a company just for luchadoras. America has two. Japan has one. Why not us? Why not Mexico?"

Luis Montero leaned back in his chair. A female-only company in Mexico? It could work. Lucha Libre is on fire. Five Star has been going strong for thirty years in Japan. Angels in America is celebrating their twentieth year next year.

For fifteen years he had been searching for the next big thing he could do. He left his mark on as a luchadore. Gino and Junior were leaving their marks as luchadores. Now Esperanza wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and she was asking him to create his own company. To leave another mark. He could make no decisions now. He'd have to see what kind of student she'd be. Could she handle herself in the ring? He would have to find out.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is Phiil Vibert with Vibert's Voice here for a special news update. Today is December 15th and I have just received news from Mexico that legendary luchador Luis Montero, the father of OLLIE stars Gino and Luis Jr has resigned as booker and road agent from EMLL and has announced that he is starting his own promotion, Amazonas de Lucha Libre.

This promotion is the first all-Women's promotion in Mexico.

In addition, he announced the formation of the World Women's Wrestling Alliance, an alliance between all of the female-only wrestling companies in the world to help elevate the roll of women's wrestling in the world. Five Star in Japan left the Modern Japan Movement to join and both AAA and QAW in America have joined. 2016 could prove to be the most interesting year in Independent Wrestling in a long time. I'll be back later this week with a full episode of Vibert's Voice, but I did not want you to miss this important news.

Hello, so my last diary "The Islands Go Wild" ended after a very unfortunate save malfunction -- so I decided to move in and start a new diary.

This company, Amazonas de Lucha Libra [ALL] is an all women's company based in South East, Mexico. The next post will have some information over the company and in game stuff, but this has some information for you the reading.

1. I'm playing as Luis Montero who is the owner, booker, and road agent for the company. I have changed zero stats on Luis.

2. I have created three luchadoras for the game that debut with in the first year of operation. I've done this for a variety of reasons -- the primary reason is that I enjoy having wrestlers that I created in the database to interact with.

-- The three luchadoras I created are not great at everything, their stats are similar to characters I wanted them to be like.

-- One is Esperanza Montero, the youngest daughter of Luis Montero. I've noticed in the game that there are very few second-generation women's wrestlers (especially compared to the amount of second generation male wrestlers). While I know this reflects wrestling to a degree, I also know that we have seen a rise in second (or third) generation women. From Nattie and Charlotte, to Paige and Tamina, to Tessa Blanchard and Rachel Ellering). I wanted Luis to have a motive for getting into promotion other than he wanted to see women's wrestling thrive in Mexico, so the reason was to create a company for his daughter (much like Sam Strong created the women's division for Alicia). Her stats are in between Gino and Luis. Jr and she does start off with a modicum of popularity based off her name value. She also comes in as a musician so that I'm forced to not strictly rely on her.

--The other is a fictional daughter of Sam Keith named "Samantha Keith". I love the Keith family. When I book in America, they are almost always on my roster in full -- and before Sam Keith retired he was always my first Heavyweight Champion. I wanted there to be a female Keith so I could continue my love affair with the Keith family (assuming I'm able to sign her when she debuts!). She has a similar skill set to her brothers Greg and Matthew.

--The third woman is a character that I created strictly for my own enjoyment. In story, she's the best friend of Esperanza Montero. She's an amalgamation stats-wise of several women in game. Her name is 'Hermosa Guerrera."

I also created the World Women's Wrestling Association (WWWA) with 5SWW, AAA, QAW and my ALL company with CWWF and WWNOW both set to come into the alliance with they come into the game world. The WWWA has a World Championship and World Tag Team Championship and has talent trading but nothing else.

I wanted to put that out in front so when they show up in game people are not wondering who they are or why I put them in the game. None of them are over-powered nor are they game-breakers, but rather helped me make sense of the game universe I was building and giving Luis the motivation to start this company beyond altruism.

[January, Monday, Week 2, 2016 -- Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico]

LDulFSa.jpg

It had been a busy month for Luis Montero. In December, he announced his resignation from his position as match-maker and road agent for EMLL, a decision that El Bandido understood. They had been friends for two decades. Bandido understood that Montero had to do it for family. It helped that Montero's ALL would not be in direct competition with EMLL. EMLL does not use luchadoras and Montero's ALL will not use luchadores. Easy split for the two.

On the outskirts of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Luis Montero found his paradise. He found it in the way of an empty warehouse that had once been used to store munitions. There was nothing fancy about it. Nothing that made it stand out from other warehouses around the city, which Montero preferred. This warehouse could be his home away from home, his new playground.

He had spent weeks getting the space ready. Cleaned out old wooden pallets that had been left by previous occupants. Scrubbed graffiti off the exterior walls. He replaced broken windows. He could have hired help to do it, but he had wanted to do it himself. It gave him pride to work with his hands. A sense of satisfaction. His abuelo had been a ranchero. His father had been a handy-man and a ranchero. Luis was the only one of his siblings who did not follow in the family footsteps of ranch work. He had bigger dreams and had been able to fulfill them -- but here in the quiet of the warehouse it brought him peace to see his hands still capable of doing work.

The warehouse had been completed. It wasn't pretty. It didn't need to be. It was perfect for what it needed to be. It needed to be Escula de Amazonas. It also could serve as the company headquarters. The booking office. A place to film vignettes and video packages.

Montero sighed happily. In the ring were three people. His daughter Esperanza, her best friend Maria, and an unmaked Luchadora Original. This was one of the few settings that Gloria would allow anyone to see her without a mask. She was old school that way.

When Luis knew he was starting a company and his own dojo -- he knew that he needed to hire Gloria. She could be his color commentator. She could provide the legitimacy that his company needed -- she was OLLIE's first Women's Champion. She had been wrestling since 1996. More importantly, she could also serve as the assistant trainer for the dojo. Of course Luis would be the head trainer -- this was his baby. He had to oversee it.

Gloria was instructing Esperanza and Maria on some of the finer points of chain wrestling. These two women are going to be good. How could, Luis can't predict, but he knows they will be good.

He retreated back to the solace of his office. He could still here the sounds of the training in the ring, but those sounds were like music to his ears. On his desk, the very first card for his company. "La Era Commenzia" will mark the beginning of his quest with his company. His quest to leave another mark on the business he has loved for his entire life.

ALL La Era Commenzia

Wednesday, Week 4, January, 2016

Live at the Merida Resort

Main Event

Triple Threat

ALL Mexican Championship

Estrella Blanca versus Queen Amazon versus Aguila Azul Celeste

I understand why each girl that is in this match is in it, two of them are the reigning and defending Womens champions in mexico for the companies who have a womens division and the other is probably one of the 3 biggest stars in womens wrestling in mexico, so I think the win should be for Aguila Azul Celeste, because even if she is CILL Womens Champion Estrella Blanca isnt at the popularity and ability level of the other two, but the tie breaker between Queen Amazon and Aguila Azul Celeste is that you should have a first champ that can be rated individually apart from where they work, and with Queen Amazon Thats difficult, because the OLLIE womens championship, is a title with a lineage, a history, and a reputation, Im not saying the the wrestlers shouldn be able to be champions in two companies, it actually can be played into story, but in your first show, crowning your first champ, you need to begin with a bang, somthing that will make you different from other companies, so you have to make them see you are different to them, but if you crown their womens champion, your main chammpion, you are yjust saying that you are most of the same, also of the 3 I believe Celeste is the best wrestler and Im a fan of her. And Estrella Blanca will eat the fall.

Semi Main Event

Singles Match

Electric Dreamer versus Bizarro

I beleive Dreamer should win, mostly because she brings a lot of name value, to the company, she already has the pop to triumph, while she also has the athleticism, and at the same time, bizarro has potential but i just feel she is a little too much green, she is untested, and unproven, so i shay the established star wins.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match

ALL Mexican Tag Team Championships

Tex-Mex versus Quinzel and Svelte versus The Anti Establishment w/ Luigi Marin

With a face singles cahmpion it actually makes sense that a heel team should win the tag titles, and Tex-Mex is less popular in Mexico of what i expected, that leaves two teams, Quinzel and Svelte, are real prospects, and Im really excited of what can you do with them, I have seen some AAA diaries, and played a few games myself and they are stars in the making, but, they arent known down here in Mexico, they can have all the potential in the world but if the crowd doesnt give two pickles about them, they cant triumph, you will have to build their pop, so Ill go for the Anti Establishment, to local girls, technically the more popular in this match, and being the more tested, by actually haivng worked in a recognized wrestling company, and you gave them a mouth piece, so you care enough for them, to give them an adavantage in someone who works to make them look excellent. Anyone coudl eat the fall.

Singles Match

Jaguar Queen versus Maria Guest

first match of three that im going out of shear popularity, i dont think pop is everything, theres a lor of ability required, but is your first show, you need those big names to attract people to the show, and get them talking, a lot of your roster, you will have to build pop for, but at the start the more popular girls will have to triumph for the crowd to give a damn.

Singles Match

Pinky Perez versus Laura Flame

Second match of three that im going out of shear popularity, i dont think pop is everything, theres a lor of ability required, but is your first show, you need those big names to attract people to the show, and get them talking, a lot of your roster, you will have to build pop for, but at the start the more popular girls will have to triumph for the crowd to give a damn.

Singles Match

Purple Viper versus Natalie DeMarco

Third match of three that im going out of shear popularity, i dont think pop is everything, theres a lor of ability required, but is your first show, you need those big names to attract people to the show, and get them talking, a lot of your roster, you will have to build pop for, but at the start the more popular girls will have to triumph for the crowd to give a damn.

Opening Contest

Six-Woman Tag

Las Bestias en la Jungla (Deborah Young, Juliette King, and Monster Ishimura) w/ Padre Carrasco versus Fuyuko Higa, Shiori Jippensha, and Simony Sentinel

None of this girls are known in this part of the world, and I really liked you gave the 3 Amazonian like girls a moth piece, not only their mic abilities go form meh to dreadful, they dont speak the language, so Padre Carrasco is going to hav e to carry them, but in this mathc im going for pure ability, and you have 2 of the best Japan has produged in Jippensha and Higa so the technical team wins.

Show #1 - La Era Commenzia

[Wednesday, Week 4, January, 2016]

When Padre Carrasco told Luis Montero that he could get them the Merida Resort for their debut show, Luis did not believe him. Padre insisted; however, that his connections through comedy could secure the building and could secure it at a good rate. The building has capacity for 1,000 fans and the presale rate to the show told Luis they were going to come close to a full house, perhaps even hit capacity with their debut show. He knew this was not his doing; however -- lucha libre is on fire and it would be hard for any company to not draw a good house on their shows, especially with the talent he had lined up.

All of the women he hired were excited. They knew what he knew. This was their chance. They were not going to be second fiddle for OLLIE or CILL’s luchadores. The Americans knew that this was a chance to increase their fanbase -- increase the likelihood they will get more bookings and perhaps get a call from Victoria or Alicia. For Luis, it was a chance to prove that his vision could work. That he could take luchadoras to prominence.

He had set up a table outside of the dressing room to act as his makeshift office. He would not go in the locker room. It was not tasteful for a married man to hang out in a locker room with women who were changing. The few men on the show were also sharing a room. From his table, Luis could monitor the entrance ramp. Could help put together the matches -- and had easy access to the bathroom in case nature called.

The door to the women’s locker room swung open and Luchadora Original stood there -- her mask on (she would not be caught dead on show day with her mask off). “Luis. We need you. Now.”

Luis slid his chair back and rose to his feet grumbling. “What is it, Gloria? It is almost show time.”

“I know that.” Gloria snapped. “But we’ve got a big problem with Shiori and Simony.”

“What kind of problem?”

“The kind where Shiori is trying to redecorate Simony’s face.”

Luis went white before he hustled as best as his bad knee could allow him into the uncharted waters of a woman’s locker room. With all the bravado he could muster, he shouted, “Enough.”

The scene was chaotic. Tables and chairs had been upturned. Gear had been scattered. Shiori was in full mount on Simony -- who was doing her best to protect her face.

“What is the meaning of all of this?” Luis asked, marching towards the two women.

“Shiori made a joke. Simony didn’t like it. Simony told her so. Shiori punched her in the face. And now we’re here.” Pamela said while finishing the last laces on her boots.

“None of you thought to break it up?” He asked incredulously.

“We sent Gloria to get you.”

Luis rubbed the bridge of his nose. His first show and his locker room is already falling apart. “Shiori, meet me outside in two minutes. The rest of you, get this place cleaned up. We are professionals. Trying to put on a professional show. Could we act like it?”

The women grumbled, but they acquiesced to their boss. As he head back out the door to meet with Shiori in a modicum of privacy, Talia Quinzel stopped him.

“Hey boss.” Talia said. “Just so you know, Fuyoko took my whole bag and dumped its contents in the toilet.”

“And why would she do that?”

“She called it a rib.”

Luis said some things that would definitely have made his grandmother blush. “I’ll deal with her too.”

Not even bell time and his first show was off to a great start.

-------------------------------------

Amazonas de Lucha Libre presents: La Era Commenzia

There is a sold out crowd of 1,000 rabid lucha libre fans who have jam packed the Merida Resort for the first show in what hopes to be the proud history of Mexico’s first ever all-woman company. While this show is not being broadcast, it is being recorded for home video and for clip-distribution on the ALL website and official YouTube channel respectively. While some companies choose to do their commentary after the fact -- ALL has its commentators stationed ringside. Manning the booth is long-time independent announcer Santiago Nunes and his color analyst, Luchadora Original, resplindid in her trademark light pink mask and a matching light pink business suit.

The ring announcer is a no-name staffer but he has a good baritone voice. He announced the sell out crowd for the very first show and got the crowd excited, running down the main event and co-main event of the evening.

Fuyuko Higa, Shiori Jippensha, and Simony Sentinel versus La Bestias en la Jungla w/ Padre Carrasco

This was a pretty one sided affair with La Bestias en la Jungla dominating the match from the get go. Higa and Jippensha took the brunt of the offense. Deborah Young dominated most of the match for her team, with Monster Ishimurra and Juliette King being used in short spurts -- obviously to protect the two of them from getting over exposed.

Young hit Jippensha with a vicious Sit Out Powerbomb for the victory. E+

kchkaOx.jpg vs. C5A24Hr.jpg

Purple Viper versus Natalie DeMarco

Viper looked like a real star in this contest and was able to get a lot of heat on DeMarco. She also pulled of some flashy, fast paced chain wrestling that DeMarco did her best to keep up with but it was clear that she was out matched by the experienced luchadora. Viper hit DeMarco with the Viper Bite [shooting Star Press] for the victory. E+

Y1M3CUb.jpg

Pinky Perez came to the ring next and talked about how excited she was to be here in ALL, how excited she is that there is finally a company where the women of Mexico can showcase their skills. She also said that Laura Flame was going to learn first hand what it means to be a luchadora. D+

Y1M3CUb.jpg vs. yKjKSIe.jpg

Pinky Perez versus Laura Flame

Unlike Viper versus DeMarco, this was a little more even. Perez got the upper hand early -- her six years of experience and superb technical wrestling allowing her to take control of the taller Flame -- size doesn’t matter when you’re on the mat. Perez went for a spring board plancha onto Flame, but Flame moved and kicked Perez in the back of the head. Flame took control for awhile and showcased some offense that is very similar to that of the former Hell Monkey -- which makes sense, being that her mentor is the legendary wrestler.

Flame attempted to hit the Flame Fire Kick [Yakuza Kick], but Perez had it scouted and dodged. When Flame turned around, she caught a kick to the gut and a Pink Buttefly Bomb [Double Underhook Powerbomb] and followed that up with the cover and the victory. D-

PflciCz.jpg vs. 1TkcGQA.jpg

Jaguar Queen versus Maria Guest

The eight-year veteran Jaguar Queen started out at a disadvantage in this match when the spunky Maria Guest came right out and attempted to attack Jaguar’s leg, no doubt trying to get her in position for the figure four that Maria likes to use. Jaguar shoved a thumb into Maria’s eye, which got her a warning from the official, but also provided her the opening to take control. She attacked Maria’s shoulder and neck, working her over.

She hit a really nice T-Bone Suplex on Maria and went for the Arm Triangle, and Maria tried to fight out of it, but eventually she had to tap out and Jaguar Queen got the victory. E+

xCIN7eR.jpgSSpU02X.jpg

The Anti-Establishment came to the ring and cut a promo during their walk to the ring, explaining to Tex-Mex exactly what was going to happen to the ladies when they get into the ring with them tonight. They guaranteed victory and guaranteed that the audience was looking at the very first Mexican Tag Team Champions. E+

Tex-Mex versus Quinzel and Svelte versus The Anti Establishment

All six women came into this match with a point to prove. Quinzel and Svelte received a luke-warm reception from a crowd that wasn’t familiar with them, but after they hit Hellcat Hernandez with a body slam/backbreaker combo where Svelte slammed her on Quinzel’s knees and then hit a double suplex into a backbreaker on Houston Handley -- the crowd warmed up to them.

Hellcat and Pamela tried to let Houston and Teresa battle Quinzel and Svelte for the majority of the match (after all, Hellcat was selling that back like crazy) and the four women really laid their strikes in. Houston hit Talia with a Houston’s Problem

but then immediately got hit from behind by Pamela -- who dumped her out of the ring while Hellcat pulled Teresa off the apron. Pamela got the pin on Talia and The Anti Establishment made good on their promise to be the first ever Mexican Tag Team Champions. [b]D-[/b]

[center]rfhKVMh.jpg vs. Fd0cvbR.jpg

[b]Electric Dreamer versus Bizarro[/b][/center]

Bizarro came out viciously, she jumped Dreamer before the match even started and really put a beating onto her -- which got the crowd, particularly the young girls in the audience to get behind Dreamer. Bizarro hit rolling suplexes on Dreamer and got a near fall, which only got the crowd louder. Dreamer fought back and took to the sky, hitting a flying hurricanranna followed up by a springboard moonsault. The crowd really came alive for those moves.

After a bit of back and forth, Electric Dreamer hit Bizarro with the Electric Blue Bomb [blue Thunder Bomb] and got the victory. [b]D-[/b]

[b]Estrella Blanca versus Agulia Azul Celeste vs. Queen Amazon[/b][/center]

The main event of the very first show did not disappoint. Dreamer and Bizarro had set the crowd up to be ready to roar with approval. Blanca and Celeste were over like grover and Amazon came out with a lot of heat. The early match saw Blanca and Celeste bumping for Amazon, getting over the power of the two-time OLLIE Women’s Champion. Eventually, Blanca and Celese hit a double drop kick that sent Amazon to the floor. Blanca then hit a running plancha onto Amazon, moved out of the way and Celeste hit her own. This got the crowd really excited.

These three women put on a show for the crowd, they held nothing back and we even saw Amazon get Blanca up for the Triple Power Bomb, only to have Celeste leap off and hurricanranna Blanca -- who simultaneously hurricanranned Amazon.

Celeste got the win when she pinned Estrella Blanca. The crowd exploded when they got to see Aguila Azul Celeste raise the Mexican Championship and be crowned as the very first ALL Mexican Champion. [b]C-[/b]

Prediction Results

1. XMultiGames: 6/7

2. Soulkings: 5/7

3. DanMTheMan: 4/7

My logic:

1. Putting the title on Aguila -- Starting out, she was my most over babyface and I wanted to end the first show on a celebratory note, wanted to send the crowd home happy, if you will.

2. Putting La Bestias over -- I was originally going to put the babyfaces over here because I saw more mileage in them, but then both Shiori and Fuyuko had backstage incidents and their reactions to them made me change my decision (you'll get the fall out in the next in character post).

Thank you to all three of you for predicting on this show. In general, my match descriptions will be longer, but since I dedicated so much space to the preshow/backstage stuff, I didn't want to have an unwieldy post!

I hope you're enjoying the diary so far. Feel free to leave any feedback, ask any questions, etc...

[October 8, 1974]

The crowd of 22,000 people was jam packed into the Coliseo Azteca in Tuxtla Gutierrez. In the center of the building, a war was taking place. El Fantasma, the top rudo in all of Mexico had El Patron in a dangerous way. The crowd was chanting, more like begging, Patron to make a comeback. To find away out of El Fantasma's abdominal stretch that looked like it was going to rip any number of muscles and tendons in El Patron's midsection.

There in the crowd was fourteen year old Luis Montero. His brown eyes glued to the action. Glued to El Patron's hip-toss reversal out of the abdominable stretch and glued to the kick to the gut and the vertical lift. Luis was in awe. How could El Patron still have the strength in his core to lift El Fantasma after being locked in such a devastating hold? El Patron fell backwards -- hitting his trademarked stalling vertical suplex onto El Fantasma and the crowd roared with approval. The official was in position to count the One. Two. Three.

El Patron was champion of the world once again. For the third time in his career the greatest luchadore alive could be called Campeonato del Mundo.

This was the second time Luis Montero had seen El Patron win the championship. The first time was when his grandfather took him to Mexico City to see Patron win the championship for the very first time. This time, Montero brought himself. No abuelo. No father. No brothers or sisters. Just himself in the hallowed building. Just himself watching his hero conquer evil once more.

[February, 2016]

Luis Montero wrapped his arm around his daughter Esperanza's shoulders and pulled her close to him. His other arm was straight in front of him -- a finger tracing out the outline of a building to her, a building that was not there.

"This, Ezzie, was where it happened. This was the mecca for us. Coliseo Azteca. Where the greatest luchadores alive clashed every three weeks. It was a wonderful place." He reminisced to her but without actually looking at her.

"What happened to it, Papa?" She asked curiously.

"Fire mostly. There was a storm. It got hit by lightening and fire destroyed it. They had to demolish it and it never got rebuilt. Newer buildings took its place and it became a memory in the minds of all of us that were lucky enough to witness the wars that it housed." He said, doing his best not to get choked up at the memory.

"Why did you bring me here, Papa? I have to train if I'm going to be ready for our February show." She said, trying to tug him back to the car they had left a few paces behind them.

He shook his head. "You won't be on the February card. I'm not calling you up yet."

She looked at him, her eyes wide. "But you've told Maria that she'll be on the show. We started training at the exact same time. How is she ready and I'm not?"

He pulled his arm away from her and shoved both hands into his pockets. "I need the rudos. She'll play rudo. I don't want to debut both of my top graduates in the same month, then it takes the luster off both of you. I have to stagger it. You will be a tecnico. You'll be a great tecnico, but she will be rudo. The two of you destined to wage war against each other until she finally joins your side. The classic story of lucha. For that, I have to introduce her first."

Begrudgingly, Esperanza nodded her head. She understood -- or at least pretended to understand her father's logic.

"I had to make some roster changes." He told his daughter as he guided her back to the car.

"What kind of changes?" She asked. She didn't really realize her father was trying to educate her in the business side of lucha libre. He wanted her to be as prepared as possible for a career. He wanted her to understand.

"I let Shiori go. Not only did she physically assault Simony backstage, but when I talked to her about it, when I expressed my disappointment and told her that I was going to be holding part of her pay as a fine, she cursed me. Called me things I've never been called by a woman before. So I decided that she was not good for our locker room. Not a healthy presence."

Esperanza nodded her head. "That makes sense." She replied as she entered the passenger side of the car.

"I also contacted Ursula Saez, she's local and she doesn't have full time work. I'm going to bring her onto the February show for a try out. If I like what she does, I'm going to let her stay on full time. Same with Velvet Suarez. Give both of them opportunities to work here and see what they can do." He told his daughter as he fired up the engine on the car.

"You know who you should hire?" His daughter chipped in. "Elsa and Conception. They're good rudos. I've been watching tapes that they're on. They could be useful members of our roster."

Luis smiled. "You might be right. I'll give them a call."

Esperanza leaned back in her seat. "Do you have the card finalized for February?"

Luis nodded but did not say anything.

"Are you going to tell me?" She asked, poking her father in a way that only daughters can get away with.

"I suppose. The show will be called Recepcion a Mi Inferno. We're going to have it at Merida once more..."

He continued on with the card as the two of them drove back towards the warehouse

Wow you got the show up fast, didn't see it or would have been in on it. I will read it and try and get a feel for the company and then predict on this next card.

I agree it is nice to see a women's cverse fed again. We had a good group of them last year and they were all good reads. Good luck with the new promotion.

ALL Presents: Recepcion a Mi Inferno

Wednesday, Week Four, February, 2016

Live at the Merida Resort

Main Event

Mexican Championship

Purple Viper versus Aguila Azul Celeste ©

Your must popular tecnica, makes the first title defense on her recently won title in the main event, against someone who isnt the top ruda in the company, yeah this one just can go one way and that is building a good title reign for Celeste, so the champ retains.

Semi Main Event

Number One Contender's Match

Queen Amazon versus Electric Dreamer

You have a Tecnica champion, and Luis is a very traditional guy, so im sure you need a ruda challenger for her title, also Queen Amazon needs to get her momentum up, after failing to win the title, she needs to bounce back and re assert her dominance for people to take her seriously in the title scene, also Dreamer is Celeste tag partner, so i dont see you putting them in a feud.

Tag Team Contest

Mexican Tag Team Championships

Tex-Mex versus The Anti Establishment w/Luigi Marin ©

Is their first title defence, and you want to establish credibility into your title, at least the frist reign of each, has to be a good reign, also they are still your most popular team that isnt involved in the main event scene, and I believe you trust in them, by worrying enough for them to give them a mouthpiece and a manager, so I see the champs retain.

Singles Match

Estrella Blanca versus Bizzaro

Estrella Blanca, may not be the most popular girl, but she is up there as one of the pilars of your tecnico division, she just needs more exposuer, and she will be on the right track to be a full fleshed main eventer, the first step is build her momentum back, after her defeat last moth, she needs to prove she is a credible contender to the title, and a win over bizarro can do it, Bizarro isnt a star but she also isnt a jobber, so a win over her can help a lot Blanca.

Singles Match

Talia Quinzel versus Fuyuko Higa

This one is pretty difficukt, none of this ones are known in mexico, they are 2 great workers, andused correctly each one in there way they can be real stars, so this usually would be, potential vs Ability, but this time other factor comes into play, and thats the "rib" last week, i understand it wasnt bad enough to fire her as with shiori, but she still needs to be punished, and losing to the girl she was bullying, is a good punishment, i dont know what are your policies on attitude, some bookers would let that be her punishments, others would use it to begin a depushing, but at least one thing is clear she has to understand what she did isn't okay.

Three Way Dance

Simony Sentinel versus Laura Flame versus Maria Guest

This 3 arent known around here, all prospects with good potential, I have to go for ability her and pick the one more technical in Laura Flame.

Singles Match

Selina Svelte versus Ursula Saez

This is Saez trial, so i think she loses this one, also I actaully love the team of Quinzel and Svelte, they are a great tag team to have on your roster, and by your writing, the public is beggining to care for them so, I think you should capitalize oin that and give her some momentum after that tag title loss, also Saez is unproven, she hasnt ever worked professionally, and her nickname just angers me, Mayans arent from Mexico, Aztecs are from Mexico and Mayans are from Guatemala, so that takes points out of her in my book.

Opening Contest

Thea Davis versus Hermosa Guerrera

I believe her being your first graduate of school, she will have a big role in your histry, even more as you have said you want her to feud with Esperanza, and for a feud to be hot you need both people to have momentum, Im really excited in watching how she is going to turn out, is just a shame that you begin building her momentum, at the expense of The Red Queen, Thea Davis has so much potential, has so much ability, can be ruda or tecnica, she is able to work all over the world, she is like an unpolished diamond, the only think she lacks is popularity, and thats practically obvious, only working europe, but if you build her up, she can be your actual main star really fast, as she has been to me.

Apart from the known Mexican girls and your creations im pretty sure from where is based this roster, and is a good think, becasue it lets me know a little bit, how far they can come, so is like a good easter egg for me, but im also trying to take that out off my mind, so i dont compare them and i let you build them your way creating your own story.

<p>Recepcion a Mi Inferno</p><p> </p><p> There is another sold out crowd at the Merida Resort. Another 1,000 fans crammed into the building. That’s great news for a company presenting its second show. Luchadora Original and Santiago Nunes were ringside once again -- they had gotten good reviews from their work on the first show. </p><p> </p><p> Custom music played to start the show, music from the band El Diablo Nunca Duerme. After the music settled there were a couple of minutes of silence before the ring announcer for the evening told the crowd to please welcome the very first graduate of Escuela de Amazonas, Hermosa Guerrera. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="ES4xbqZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ES4xbqZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> For the past month, the ALL website had been hyping the arrival of Hermosa with some great viral video marketing, so the crowd was excited to see the luchadora arrive. She made her way to the ring in very elaborate Aztec inspired armor. Climbing into the ring, she stood in silence for a long time before she took the microphone from the ring announcer.</p><p> </p><p> “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. The moment when I can do what my ancestors did. Conquest. Starting now, I begin my conquest of Amazonas de Lucha Libre. I will be the greatest luchadora in history. Every luchadora in the locker room, every luchadora around the world, even Luchadora Original sitting at that table over there, and everyone of you will kneel at my feet. Bring me my first victim.” <strong>[C]</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="ES4xbqZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ES4xbqZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> vs. <img alt="RIf4adN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RIf4adN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> She tossed the microphone aside and began to take off her armor while the PA System blared out “The Red Queen will save you.” A very nice custom theme song that felt English and royal and fit the approaching Thea Davis very nicely. She was wearing very nice red gear with gold crowns on the side.</p><p> </p><p> ALL Senior [and only] official Alejandro Pascual called for the match to start. The two locked up in the center of the ring and Davis’ -- who has about two inches in height advantage over Guerrera used her leverage advantage to back Guerrera into the ropes. Pascual called for a clean break and was granted it. Davis backed up and smirked at Guerrera, letting the rookie know that this was not going to be a walk in the park.</p><p> </p><p> Another lockup and this time Davis took her over with a side headlock takeover. Davis really worked the headlock, using her height and weight advantage to really grind the rookie into the mat. Guerrera rolled, but Davis rolled with her, not letting her get to her free. “Not today sunshine.” Davis taunted her. Guerrera reached up, grabbed a handful of red hair and pulled back on the Red Queen’s head. Pascual was right there to slap Guerreras hand away and tell her to stay out of the hair. Guerrera slapped the mat in frustration before rolling her body so she could get her knees under her.</p><p> </p><p> She pushed her way to her feet and pushed Davis off. Davis hit the ropes and came back with a big shoulder tackle. Guerrera rolled towards the ropes so that when Davis came charging towards her, she could side step her and toss her out of the ring. Guerrera backed up only slightly so that when Davis tried to get back in she could hit her with a soccer kick right to the face. The crowd booed at this lack of sportsmanship, but Guerrera paid no heed as she went to work, showcasing her technical prowess and her power. A big side suplex followed up by a Bow and Arrow Stretch had Davis in a world of pain. Guerrera couldn’t get the submission so she released her and deadlifted Davis and spun her into a Urange Backbreaker but she didn’t let Davis’ fall to the mat, but instead she lifted Davis back up and slid behind her for a beautiful neckbreaker. This got her a near fall.</p><p> </p><p> She pulled Davis back up but caught three forearms to the face. Davis shot off into the ropes, came running back but got caught with a spinebuster followed up by a Boston Crab that still couldn’t get Davis to surrender, despite the pain in her back. Davis managed to get to her feet and hit a back elbow that almost took Guerrera’s head off.</p><p> </p><p> Davis hit a big body slam and then climbed the top rope. She slapped har hand off her elbow, signalling to the crowd that she was going to take to the sky and drive her elbow into the chest of Hermosa Guerrera. At least, that was her intention, but unfortunately intentions did not equal reality. With the crash and burn, Guerrera was able to pull her up and lift her into the air and then bring her back down to the mat with her Call of the Warrior [Orange Crush]. She covered The Red Queen and Pascual counted the fall.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Hermosa Guerrera, D+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="JXKS4sC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JXKS4sC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> vs. <img alt="54EVIyc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/54EVIyc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Ursula Saez was next to the ring. She got a lot of applause for someone just making their debut -- it helps that she is from about three miles away from the Merida Resort. She looked ready for action and ready to impress.</p><p> </p><p> Next out was Selina Svelte who looked at the crowd and crinkled her nose like she smelled something terrible. Just the simple facial was enough to get the crowd against her.</p><p> </p><p> This was not a great match by any standards, but it didn’t stink the joint up. Ursula was here to do a specific task -- and that task was make Selina look as good as can be. She accomplished that by getting up for all of Selina’s moves as well as hitting Selina with a couple of picture-perfect dropkicks.</p><p> </p><p> Eventually, Selina got Ursula on the mat and got in her trademark Prawn Armlock. Ursula Saez tapped out rather quickly.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner, Selina Svelte, E+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="05thbm1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/05thbm1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> vs. <img alt="yKjKSIe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yKjKSIe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> vs. <img alt="1TkcGQA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1TkcGQA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The bubble-gum haired Simony Sentinel was the first woman to come out. She had a custom theme song that felt very punk-rock and felt very fitting to the spunky punk-rock chick that Simony portrays to a tee. </p><p> </p><p> The building seemed to get hotter as a scream came out and the video screen that’s set up started showing flames. That could only mean one thing and the protege of the world-renowned Hell Monkey/Reaver. She came out with flame-inspired gear that looked real nice and went well with her fire-red hair.</p><p> </p><p> Next out was Maria Guest -- whose bubbly energy was infectious. She was all smiles and hand slaps for the crowd.</p><p> </p><p> The three women started the match all trading hard strikes. The Violent Violet threw some very stiff forearms to both her opponents. She rocked Maria with a forearm and a palm strike that stumbled protege of Farrah Hesketh. Flame threw hard body kicks that showed her karate and kickboxing backgrounds nicely.</p><p> </p><p> The women never let up. It was clear that these three women were trying to leave a mark, all trying to showcase that they belong on the main roster of a major company -- particularly Maria Guest and Laura Flame -- because they don’t have AAA to fall back on like Sentinel. </p><p> </p><p> Sentinel kept the pace quick, which forced the other women to match her speed. At one point she went for a dive off the top onto Guest, but was caught with a springboard roundhouse kick from Laura Flame that caused the crowd to erupt with applause. Flame caught Guest with the Flame Fire Kick and got the pin in a very hard fought, hard hitting contest.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Laura Flame, D-</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="pKIkXB8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pKIkXB8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> vs. Fuyuko Higa<img alt="3zMRcKd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3zMRcKd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> On paper, Quinzel and Higa had the potential to be match of the night. The six-foot-tall graduate of Cat’s Lair squaring off with the protege of Thunder Hike herself. Higa is one of the brightest prospects to come out of Japan in quite some time and the same can be said about Quinzel and America.</p><p> </p><p> These two women did not disappoint in the slightest. They went full throttle for eleven minutes of action that saw them not hold anything back. Higa hit some vicious strikes that is trademarked of Japanese wrestling where as Quinzel hit three consecutive backbreakers -- all from different set ups and each one looking like it broke Higa’s back.</p><p> </p><p> Higa went for the Higa Green Driver [Double Underhook Piledriver] but she couldn’t keep the taller woman elevated long enough to make it happen. Quinzel used this to her advantage, whipping Higa off into the ropes and catching Higa with the Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker she calls Spinal Trauma.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Talia Quinzel, D+</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="r3WJ2Dt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/r3WJ2Dt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> vs <img alt="Fd0cvbR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Fd0cvbR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> This was classic lucha libre. Both women came out to show their skills and use the platform to show just how skilled they are. Blanco and Bizarro spent a good portion of the match showcasing some fluid chain wrestling, going back and forth with holds and counter holds that really showcased some skill.</p><p> </p><p> Blanco was able to come out ahead and hit a springboard arm drag and then a springboard hurricanranna to get the match going in her favor. She was able to hit her Trademarked Northern Lights Suplex and the first ever major-recognized luchadora champion in lucha libre history got the victory in a very solid contest</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner: Estrella Blanco, D</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center"><img alt="9UfPT9L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9UfPT9L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"><p> <img alt="uxva5Yk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uxva5Yk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"><img alt="MR6WREE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MR6WREE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"> versus <img alt="xCIN7eR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xCIN7eR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"><img alt="SSpU02X.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SSpU02X.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> A solid tag team bout here. First, I want to apologize for the quality of the show. It started off good, but then I lost steam because I had to take a longer break from the writing then I normally do [darn my fiance for wanting a puppy!]

The next show will be of better quality, I promise!

Anyway, to the prediction results!

1.XMultiGames: 8/8

2. Theheel 7/8

3.DanMTheMan: 7/8

Great job guys!

[March]

Luis Montero sat in the scaffolding of the warehouse he bought to house his base of operations for Amazonas de Lucha Libre. An iPad held in his hands, he was on a Skype call.

"I promise you Cat, we're going to take good care of Cherry. She'll look like a star. Shell be treated with respect." He said to the video image of Catherine Quine.

"You better, Luis. She's my right hand. I want her to be treated with grace and dignity." The owner of North America's largest women's wrestling company replied.

"You've got nothing to worry about."

"You sure you want her working your daughter."

"Why wouldn't I be sure?"

"It might upset the locker room if you start pushing your own kid hard. Look at how it's helped Richard."

"It's not about her being my daughter. It's about establishing some stars outside of the women who have worked for OLLIE and CILL, It's about making sure we get over our Escuela de Amazonas as a place that puts out luchadoras who can compete on the main stage with the best women in the world."

"I understand. I'm not arguing with you. I just want to make sure you're aware of the potential negative feedback of pushing your kid."

"How's that negative impact affected pushing your sister?"

"That's not fair..."

"It might not be, but Cat, no offense to you, but I've been in this business since you were five years old. I know how bad locker rooms can be and I know the land mines one has to avoid in them. "

"I know Luis, I was just trying to help."

"And I do appreciate that, Catherine. I appreciate any help, but I don't like any implication that I don't know what I'm doing."

"I didn't mean to imply that."

"I know. It's water under the bridge."

"I'll give Sherie the information she needs for the booking."

"I appreciate it, Cat. I'll talk to you later."

With that, Luis disconnected the call and looked down at the ring where Esperanza and Maria were going over things with Gloria. March was a big month for the Montero's. Luis' only daughter was making her professional debut against the North American legend Cherry Bomb. Luis had gotten commitments from Mystery Pink, Poison Ivy, Claire Winters, and Ariel Breaks -- the latter two having to be convinced to come work in Mexico despite their willingness to fly overseas to work in Japan.

Pink and Ivy will help shore up the top of his card while Winters and Breaks will provide young up-and-comers that he can build around while continuing to develop his company and establish them. This will be, after all, the third show his company his run. They are still young. Still infants, really.

"Don't be wrong, Luis." He muttered to himself as he rose on the catwalk and began to return down to work.

[OOC -- I included the card again in thread so it was still with the interlude! I should have results up some time in the next couple of days.]
