DOTY Results Thread (2017)

Recommended Posts

Finally, I have gotten the time to create this thread for the end of year awards. I would like to apologize for taking so long but life always comes first, right? The winning announcements will be a lot more threadbare than what I might have wished but I am sure that everyone would rather have these out here now than wait, possibly, more months for me to do a proper awards show. The Awards have been divided into sections. Those sections are:

Recognition of the Year Section

Most Shocking Section

Individual Focus Section

Diary Section

I will be doing a section a day on here to build a little suspense, beginning with the recognition of the year section. The winners can, either, pm me their acceptance speech or place it on here and I will copy and paste it to the proper location. Thank you to everyone who has participated and congratulations to the winners.

I'd like to thank everyone who voted for my dynasty and my characters. Without you guys, WWF 1994: Turning The Tide wouldn't have won 6 awards! And there's still more to come in the diary section! Anyway, in closing, Thank you to everyone for your support and here's to making the final month of my rendition of WWF 1994: TTT the best it can be!

Wow, Mod Diary of the Year! I faced some stiff competition, all of which are extremely great. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for WWF: TTT, I couldn't this without you guys! I'd like to thank The Lloyd for being someone to bounce creative ideas of off, HRTVAndrew, southside_hitmen, & willr0ck for being three of the coolest dudes I've ever chatted TEW with, and I'd like to thank Beejus & The Final Countdown, they were my inspirations and even being in the same league as them is a huge honor. Now, let's end WWF: TTT with a bang!

My thanks to all who voted. Given the high standard of competition, I'm surprised and delighted that Dangerous Territory picked up two awards. I'll let the winners handle their acceptance speeches themselves.

Owen: Biggest shock? Well, I guess that just goes to show that my family have been looked down on and trodden upon for a long, long time. Too bad - maybe if they'd had the backbone to stand up for themselves my father would still be doing what he loved the most. Maybe my brothers would be making sure that the Hart name is known and feared worldwide. Maybe I wouldn't be carrying this fight on my own, turning to those who can see from the outside how good I am, instead of getting support from those who should know it because they've known me all my life!

*

Koloff: What is this, how do you say in English, Best Face... What? Most popular? I understand now, yes. I am the first Post-Soviet Superstar, the man who defeated Ric Flair, the man who faced down Cactus Jack, who went up against Rick Rude... I stood on top of the mountain, I was The Man!

Koloff: Now... I am no longer the World champion, and always in WCW there are bigger challenges. I took down Ric Rlair, and now there is Rick Rude. I stood against the York Foundation, and now there is the Dangerous Alliance. I look across the ring at big men like Vinnie Vegas and the Diamond Studd, and they have been reinforced with speed in Shawn Michaels. Where else in the world could I find such challenges? Where else could the Post-Soviet Superstar truly prove himself? So I will fight on, and Rick Rude... You and I, we will meet again!
